Opinion Necromancer but don't believe in the supernatural

I just had this random idea where a character is gifted with the powers of necromancy but doesn't believe in the supernatural....

Now, I'm wondering how would that go...?

They will try to justify their gift with some other nonsense, the one that they believe of course. Oh, i'm not doing necromancy, I'm just resonating my mind with this pile of calcium to make them move, kinda like remote control or something like that. This is called ostheolurgy.

Honestly, I don't think those characters tend to turn out very fun. Yeah, if done right they can be alright but more often than not they're just really annoying joke characters that repeat the same joke over and over again.

Maybe they think that all they're doing is rebooting whoever they're resurrecting like a computer. There's no soul, just the brain and it's a simple matter of fixing whatever went wrong and then testing the resurrectee to see if it worked.
