In desperate need of money, a group of strangers signs up for cybernetic research. Their "employer" offers a large sum for their participation. However it seems that the research is more than they expected as they undergo a full cybernetic conversion. The special part is that it is said that their new bodies far exceed the limitations of a normal human body, practically turning them into cybernetic demigods capable of running at supersonic speeds, near invulnerability, flying abilities, super computing, hacking... you name it. Only downsides are cooldown times if their cyberbrains overheat, a tiny nuclear reactor inside of them and the fear they aren't human or themselves anymore. Moreover if the government gets wind of them, they might want to destroy, reverse engineer or use them. Their only possibility are to be careful or try their luck and go on a rampage for world domination in the future.
Setting: The world in the year 2053. Starting in a city called New Boston (pop. 350,000).
The contract: For your participation in cybernetic research, you will be rewarded a one time sum of 25,000 credits and a monthly pay of 3,500 credits for the duration of your participation. Additionally, you will be able to reside in a fully furnished apartment in an apartment complex adjacent to the facility as well as free usage of services throughout the complex such as laundry, the recreation center, the bar and you will get discounts at our in-house minimall. Please be aware that the conditions may have a risk and you will be subjected to cybernetic modification. If you are fine with the conditions, please sign below.
Rules: While you are overpowered compared to normal roleplays, you are not allowed to kill off other people's characters nor are you allowed to damage them unless it was an agreement with the other player.
