Ginji Hyuga

"Good." Ginji remarked. "Seems like we're all on the same page then."

The team had given him a variety of responses, but overall it seemed positive. Nobody left, so they were all obviously on board with his terms. How serious they took those terms had yet to be determined, yet Ginji would deal with that when the proper time came. For now, his main goal was learning the abilities of his students to piece together the dynamics of the team. Files only told so much about a person. What the team needed now was some good old fashion drills and training.

"We're going to get started right away."

Ginji walked over to the classroom window and opened it. "To begin, I'd like to see your agility. Take the roof tops to the training grounds just outside the village. Stay on the buildings as long as you can during the trip. Only use the roads when you absolutely have to. I'll answer any questions you have once we get to the training grounds."

After his statement, Ginji slipped his staff through the open window, and leaped onto the nearby roof. He eagerly awaited to see what each of his students would do in regards to his task.

Natsume Uchiha
Natsume's eyes widened and her expression broke out into an eager grin as Ginji popped open the window, maybe this whole teacher thing wasn't gonna be so bad?

"It's a race then!" Natsume said eagerly, peeling herself off the wall she was leaning against and breaking into a sprint towards the open window. "Last one to the training ground is an alien rabbit from the moon!" Natsume shouted as she mounted the window sill with one foot and dove out the window head first. Natsume's laughter was carried u p[to the others by the wind rushing past her face and through her short hair as she fell but just as she came perilously close to the ground below Natsume dug out a kunai with a roll of wirestring tied to it that she threw at the fire escape of a nearby building. Flying true, the knife wrapped itself around the railing of the fire escape and Natsume's freefall was converted into a powerful swinging motion that catapulted her back up to sail over Ginji.

As her vertical momentum began to peter out again Natsume compressed her legs tightly, building up kinetic energy and chakra in her muscles so that when she landed on the very edge of the rooftop Natsume could launch herself further with a body flicker. The nimble genin seemed to disappear temporarily in a blur of rapid movement, appearing on another rooftop further towards the training ground. Natsume soon left that rooftop behind as well with another well timed leap, seemingly determined to maintain the lead in her self declared race.

A race? Natsume showed no hesitation as she followed their sensei out of the window to their next destination. Tachiagari wasn't sure if Natsume was displaying readiness or recklessness in her quick departure, but either way the girl was quick to act and that was sometimes a good thing.

Following in the footsteps of her sensei and teammate, Tachiagari exited through the window and planted her feet firmly on the wall of the school. Standing horizontally she scanned the surroundings and found the nearest, tallest point to be a tree growing just outside the academy grounds. With a deep breath she focused her mind on the summit of the tree and let the chakra in her feet build up. Thanks to time spent training chakra control Tachiagari was better at it than most shinobi her age and was able to transfer the appropriate amount to perform the intended task.

In a burst of wind she leapt from the wall, soaring over the academy courtyard and straight to the top of the tree. Her brief landing scattered a family of birds to the sky and as they squawked angrily at Tachiagari she took off once more. "Sorry!" She cried out as she soared from tree to tree. Her white haired whipped about chaotically in the wind while she watched her surroundings and tried to discern the best path to take and keep an eye out for her teammates.

A carefully planned route and well-spent chakra brought Tachiagari to the training field and she noticed that she wasn't the first one when she saw Natsume making her approach as well. "Makes sense." She commented just before she landed in the field.

"Well then, I'll make sure to pay close attention to you and we'll get those kenjustu skills up to par shall we?" the Shinobi stated peeking over to his clip board "Kishiro Nakajima" turned his attention to the final member of his squad "we are a little pressed for time however so just give us a brief description and I'll view all of your current skill sets when we head to the practice field and conduct your exam" he pushed up his glasses and looked over to hiyozan

"head to the field and get the targets set up would ya?" the nindog yipped in response before bounding onto a desk and then out of the same window that the genin Dango made his entry.

The window open coursed fresh air through Maru's hair, and deep within, curdling a free spirit as Natsume flew out the door. Her words, race, ignited an infantile part of Maru, a sense of excitement one gets in the game of tag, when the person who is it is right on their tail! Maru was not going to let himself get outshined. He was not going to be an alien rabbit from the moon!

While Natsume bolted out the door without thought, Tachiagari instead took a more methodical approach. Marubaru was nailed over the head over how much patience was a virtue, but those words did not stick with an exhilarated mindset, and he followed the actions of the former. As he hopped roof from roof, he stood strongly with the wind. As he petered over the house's railings, there was not so much as a wobble to his grind, but still, he was eating the dirt from his two teammates. Maru's teeth gritted against one another, feeling ashamed that the speed he was so confident in was still yielding him last place. He would not be last, his thoughts trembled, he could not be last!

Images of Tachiagari presented themselves in his mind, where he stopped in midst of a race. Natsume had the edge in lead, but Tachigari had a head in strategy. With all that thought of, Maru stopped in his tracks as he began to approach the training grounds. His eyes immediately spotted the utility pole from across the street. Of course, simply hooking onto it with his sword would not only electrocute himself, but it would probably cut out everyone's electricity: not a good first impression. However, with a thin layer of wind in between, perhaps he would be able to catch Natsume. With a slow, clumsy hand signal, he puffed a thin layer of wind over his blade.

"Wind release, Vacuum Blade jutsu!"

Slowly, a paper-thin layer of wind puffed over his sheathed sword. It was hardly visible, with a blue tint of energy surrounding the weapon. Touching it would gently repel anything. As Maru leaped from a tree to the utility pole, however, it was enough to hook onto the wire and glide towards the destination at a propelled speed without ruining everyone's day.

As he approached his destination, however, a problem proposed itself: how would he get down? With the training grounds in sight, it was time to let go of the wire, but at the speed he was going, there was few ways to do it. While the time to think was required, Maru seemed to be enjoying himself too much to think of a plan. Before he knew it, he was tumbling towards Ginji uncontrollably. With few seconds to react, Maru repeated a series of hand signs, wind filling his lungs and at the very last second, blew downwards, creating a pocket of wind that halted his momentum towards the ground. His body was thrust upwards, gently plummeting to the ground. Leaves and debris filled the air as he landed on his stomach. Alive, yet completely winded and not sure if he won or not.

"I am alive!" He bellowed as he regain his breath, still face down in the dirt, yet making his fist into a thumbs up.
