Nagoya (名 古屋, Na-go-yuh) is a powerful anti-hero, former member of the Hero Association and class A hero. He was the primary hero and highest ranking in City-10. He is currently no longer part of the Hero Association and filed as a "rogue" hero. Since the climactic battle with the androids in City-10, he hasn't been seen since.

As a member of the Association, he was filed officially as Star (星, Hoshi), and known as "Sparky" by Galactic Shield. Nagoya is also a former super villain, having body count of heroes he had killed. He was finally defeated by Galactic Shield, reprogrammed by the Association, and out under Shields watch until his death.

Appearance
Nagoya is about average in height with blonde hair and a mix of sky blue and golden eyes, typically changed when using his powers or not. He is physically fit, youthful appearing, and has a stoic aura about him. He has scars across his torso and other parts of his body from his childhood prior to awakening his powers.

Personality
In terms of his personality, he is noted as being vigilant, brave, comical, carefree, kind-hearted, and the person who would spend his days using his powers to save a cat out of the tree for the sake of the little girl down the road. With his carefree attitude, he doesn't goof off on a sophomoric level, but rather tries to make things more colorful, but he can get serious in less than a few milliseconds. He hardly views himself as an actual hero, but simply a person doing what they feel is objectively right. This type of element about him is also related to his false dichotomy mindset of morality and justice. This tends to blind him of nuance. He also rarely underestimates his opponents.

In recent times, he's grown more secluded as well as reserved from interacting with others. He shows little care for those he encounters and shows no mercy for those who he believes deserves it. He holds his values as a hero that were forced into him by the Association, but he no longer adheres completely to those stipulations. His loses and adversarial relationship growing between some heroes and the discovery of his past has hardened him as well as awakened a tad of post-traumatic stress disorder. Randomly his memories begin to flood his mind in which he finds himself lost and awakening with little notice of what occurred in the world, as if stepping in time and reliving those moments.

History

Nagoya's life seemed normal until he was five. He was hanging with the wrong crowed and lived in poverty. His real life was that on the streets. He and his group of friends often stole, but they stole to survive. During an event where they stole food to feast for the first time in two days, the cops busted them, trapping them in an ally. Instead of arresting them, they showed their colors by shooting the boys.

Nagoya, known as Johan back then, lost control and unleashed his powers for the first time. The end result was the officers perishing in a large blast of plasma energy. From that moment forward, Johan was against the state and did as he pleased. To those outside, it seemed like a criminal, but to him, it was revenge and the heroes were but a blockade.

Johan (before joining the Association) releasing static energy as a defensive mechanism and to send a threat signal to opponents.

This world came to an end when he had a large battle with Galactic Shield who defeated Johan and brought him to the Association, where they used the criminal as a test subject to reform and manipulate criminals. He was a success. He was put under Shields watch and given a new name as well as an entire backstory with false memories, that his powers derived from a transformer he was knocked into by an unknown monster attacking his town.

His watch under the hero proved to be useful and showed that Johan, officially known as Nagoya, or Star, was doing what it should and he was improving. But then Kyon invaded City-5 and the two rushed there to be the first responders. Shield being much faster than Nagoya, and Nagoya's own powers weakened due to the cognitive recalibration caused him to arrive later and just in time to see his mentor be killed.

He fought off against the hordes but started to fall until the other arrived and they brought down Kyon. However, before his fall, Nagoya tried to find a weak point and was ultimately knocked out by the Demon Lord.

Contrary to this belief, everything he thought was fabricated. In truth, he was a notorious murder and killer of both civilians and heroes. The Association, while in its infancy, used a new research component to perform a study on Johan, using forms of electric shock, but ones that would prove deficient, and wiped his memories clean. From this, the Association implanted a chip in him to kill him should he become a threat again. They legally owned him and put him under the supervision of Galactic Shield, the one who stopped him, so as to prevent him from turning again. This was later confirmed when Samuke managed to get Planeshifter to open a file that logged the event. In it, displayed both crimes and battles, as well as a recording of him easily murdering high classed heroes before brought down by Galactic Shield in an arduous battle.

Not long after, Nagoya took on Jikoku himself, blinded by a fit of rage only to land a few good hits but mainly be beaten. This, his failure to act with Kyon, and his performance as a hero forced him to undergo a long trial of isolation and training, defecting from the Hero Association.

His biggest motivation to train was based on two individuals. The first being Leo Kingston, who killed himself to save everyone else and managed to get Gundan, one of the android triplets, captured. He also was extraordinarily instrumental in the defeat of Kyon. In both events, Jikoku utterly made a fool of Nagoya as well as Kyon knocking Nagoya out cold, leaving him out of the climax of the fight. This left him under intense anger and resent for both Leo and Jikoku. With Leo being so similar, he grew a slight fond for him, but deep hate to beat to prove himself to himself due to his ego.

During his isolated training, Nagoya came across an old sage, a blind man who helped him see the world in a new way, to strengthen his senses without his powers and to train himself without needing his powers at all. Thanks to the elder man, Nagoya grew more mature but also worked harder and learned from some philosophy the old man had to say. He also saved the elder man from danger a few times. It wasn't until his death that he sought revenge on those who killed him, but not from his anger, but for the sake of peace and to teach them a lesson before eradicating them.

During this time, Nagoya trained alone for some time before actually coming across this stranger, who was also a blind elder who was remarkable skilled with his other senses.

The man offered to help Nagoya, but since the former hero implies others may look for him that the best way to hide was to go bald or color his hair. He took the second option, turning his hair black through strong dye.

Nagoya was trained vigorously with a suit that absorbed his entire plasmatic output, used it against him, and created an artificial wight based on the amount of energy collected. In total, it created a weight up to 10x earths gravity at times, which was used for strength training.

When a group of bandits arrived and killed the old man, Nagoya's childhood mental snap that originally awakened his powers did so again with an immense overload that shattered and broke through the suit, turning it to ash. Cleaving a much more powerful Nagoya.

As some went on, Nagoya eventually returned to the city. First appearing in City-6 where a gang of super powered thugs had attempted to take over until they crossed Nagoya, who dispensed of them relatively fast. However, this alerted the Association, who had grown much stronger than before, and found the dispensing of the criminals to be off putting.

They launched an investigation with some of the higher ranking heroes who would come to learn it was an old Allie.

Post Android Arc Abilities and PowersAfter the extensive battle with the android triplets, the disorganization of the Association caused them to maintain much of their efforts in rebuilding their system from the inside. This had little effect on the heroes, however, due to his recent knowledge of his past, due to his growing disdain for Leo Kingston, his own abilities, and the one on one fight with Jikoku. Nagoya left the Hero Association, resigning his spot as a class A hero. Taking what he needed, signing away his items and home and traveled to the far outskirts of City-10 and beyond, living in the wild. He moved to a location where he could preform much of the training needed. At the start of Chapter 3, Nagoya had changed much of his former self into a more potent fighter. Finding means to endure harsh training that was only possible through his enhanced human abilities as a top class hero (former class A) and the help of a stranger, who trained him.

Part of Nagoya's training was heavy body weights that would use his plasma to increase the mass of his very body, thus making it feel like he was experiencing much harsher gravity. This set of bracelets, neck brace, cheat brace and leg braces were out of his control, as well as preventing him from actually using his powers. Not only did it prevent him from releasing plasma outside and inside his body, but it seemed to weaken him physically. This allows him to grow stronger and learn that he gained more plasma from sources like the stars of the galaxy, or the sun, colloquially.

These were the primary means to strengthen him physically and allow him to catch up to the others or so he belled, thinking himself to be too weak and needed to become stronger like the other heroes, Firefly, Planeshifter, Chimp-man, Paragon, Dragon-Lord, Leo and more. In punctuality, he grew much stronger than anticipated,

As a super-powered being, Nagoya is powerful by potential. The amount of power he can have in his augmentation is only limited by how much his physically body can take and how much he can absorb. In terms of beams, they are normally the same, save for the Black Gamma Ray which is a more powered version, but by absorbing sunlight, he can prevent himself from losing energy.

Physical Abilities

Enhanced Human Strength: Though extensive training, Nagoya pushed himself to immense pressure and limits to break them and become powerful. To do this, he replied on no form of augmentation, and as such, the results were impressive. One naturally a little above average human levels without augmentation, Nagoya now surpassed peak-human levels in strength. Due to his body's ability to adapt, he naturally was able to increase this at a fast rate, replying on one form of augmentation that help distort time to allow longer training.

Enhanced Human Speed: During his long and time consuming training, Nagoya worked on his base speed, running every day for miles, sprinting as fast as possibly, using weights and rocks to hold him back. Using his strength to run and leap from wall to wall in short burst to increase leg strength and speed in this, to make his jumping speed even faster.

Enhanced Human Reflex: One of the things Nagoya wanted to work on was his ability to react. This was used with augmentation, but not in the normal sense. Instead, he used his power to slow his perception and forced himself, at 75% slower speeds, with heights, and multiple objects coming, to dodge, react, and be aware f surrounding threats. If he failed, he was bombarded with hard rocks at high speeds. This pushed him to much that his reaction, his overall reflect did increase to new found heights.

It should be noted that an Ionized State/Form/Super Star, is actually only a partial Ionization state. Only parts of the body are affected, like his arms, which is the primitive state. A full ionization is an ionized form. Due to this, the only differences are in names and that a full form is simply called "Full Ionization" and partial, half, majority ionization are simply called Ionized Form. His insides are changes and coursed with the energy, but only few areas outside can be noted as having much change. His skin will turn pinker and warmer with steam.

Hand-to-Hand Expert: While he wasn't trained in a Dojo or by skilled people like Dragon-Lord, Chimp-Man or even Leo Kingston, Nagoya has a mixed art of street fighting and few moves he has learned from observation and made up attacks. Suffice to say, after his exile he can handle himself well in hand-to-hand, but by no means a master.

Ionikinesis Abilities/Augmented State(s)

Raining Fist Is a serious of fast paced punches involving plasma augmented speed and strength to create a deadly fast, hence the name, speed of punches that carry a radiating heat from the plasma and concussive force packed with it.

Gamma Ray Burst Is one of Nagoya's common attacks that involves the manifestation of plasma potential and firing off a concentrated beam of highly formed pure plasma. This attack is both low taxing, fast, and deadly powerful and the rate at which it forms and can be fired off after forming is dependent on the potency in the attack. If Nagoya wanted to make it very powerful or very big, it would take a lot longer and be far more taxing than a simple blast of energy.

An explosion as a result of Nagoya's Gamma Ray Burst displaying utter destruction.

  • Gamma Blast Is one of the weakest forms of Nagoya's Gamma Ray Burst, firing off a weaker beam no more larger than a quarter or the size of a pinny in girth. It's fast and can be used like a gun firing off a bullet. It's effective and can be used to hit a target in an area easier, but the accuracy also can be arduous due to the size of it and the potential distance between Nagoya and an enemy.

  • Cosmic Rain Another of his weaker GRB in which he fires off a multiple amount of short beams at extraordinary high rates.
Black Gamma Ray A very powerful blast of concentrated plasma that actually creates so much gravity it turns black, preventing light itself from escaping. The blast last for such a short time it doesn't cause any major damage from its gravitational pull since its short life span. It's immensely fast and explodes in a very large blast of plasmic energy upon contact that seers away almost anything it touches, releasing immense amounts of gravitational forces like a concussive blast. It's one of Nagoya's most powerful attacks and is extremely taxing and has prerequisites before being used.

Flashbang Less of an attack and much more of a diversion. This is an attack that Nagoya used to form a mass amount of bright plasma in his hands or on his body and to use it to create a devastatingly bright light that blasts out for a short period of time, normally used to blind an opponent to get the upper hand or to make an escape more realistic and actually survive without leaving a trace.

Augmented Strength: Infusing himself with his plasmatic power, Nagoya is able to increase his

Nagoya in an augmented state with physical conditioning increased in this state from internal plasmatic augmentation. Note the increase in muscle mass.

strength and even muscle mass, both of which are not exclusive, but can be. There are two ways in which he can do this, the former style which he mainly used prior to this training was creating concussive blasts, in which he protected his body while moving it at immense speeds and carrying powerful forces of pocketed air that worked much like the force from a bomb does. Post-training, Nagoya can did that at a much more skilled level, but is not able to increase his muscle, mimicking Jikoku's biological functions slightly, by stimulating the cosmic energy. This will naturally bring a hinder to his speed due to the very mass and thickness, thus is a natural negative to his mobility.

Augmented Cognition: Like his strength, the plasma that augments him can enhance his brains functions. Time an appear slower as well as his ability to think increases. While some could exploit this to be the smartest person, he uses this only in combat to fight with fast moving beings. It's mentally and physically exhausting to use this which requires focus, compared to the rest of his bodily augmentations.

Augmented Durability: Before, Nagoya was very durable, and to blunt forces naturally, now with his training, inspired by the results of his fight with Jikoku, he managed to find a way to increase his durability using his augmentation, even when entering certain states, making it naturally protecting and coating his individual cells. He is still naturally weak to cold forces, less weak to sharp objects, but still more effective than blunts, especially now.

Stellar Senses: Through his plasma augmentation, Nagoya can increase his senses. Though they were already impressive, they make their previous limits look laughable. His hearing, touch, sound and other senses have increases drastically, but most notably of all, is his vision. Especially entering an Ionized state, his vision increases to a new level, allowing him to see more light spectrum's than prior, see certain energies, and more. The time of day, dark or sunny out, has no affect on his sight when augmented. He can see the ultraviolet, infrared, microwave, x-ray, and even gamma ray spectrum.

Solar Energy Absorption: Nagoya's power being that of plasma, he actually gains energy from the sun itself and any form of source that is plasma or gives off plasma. Considering the universe is primarily plasma, places such as outer space, prove to be a great benefit to him. This empowers him.

Flight: Channeling the plasmatic energy and waves around him, almost like telepathy, Nagoya is actually fully capable of flight, and at high speeds. This is learned and fully exploited for his personal benefit after the events of the Androids.

Nova Blast being released; displaying the raw power of this attack. While powerful, also means death for the caster.

Nova Blast: This ability has many different levels, each one can be far more destructive than the previous. It works by Nagoya channeling his plasma energy and exerting it out as a destructive blast much like his beams, but from all around and out of him, 360 degrees. The most powerful level can only be done in the full Ionization state which would mean ultimate death, but the ability itself is highly destructive and could easily take out a city, since it uses all his energy.

Blast: Raising his index and middle finger up together, a weaker version of the Nova Blast occurs with a blast that destroys everything around him for several blocks. Weaker than the Nova Blast, but extremely faster and more effective, both in combat with many foes and with energy resources.

Nagoya uses his plasma to create a shield for protection, which can take the form of a wall or an invisible barrier.
Plasma Shield: Nagoya can create durable shields out of plasma to protect himself, others, or to contain something. This takes focus and was best displayed when stopping Samuke's fatal attack on Firefly in City-10.

Augmented Speed/Teleportation: With his power, Nagoya is able to move at extremely high speeds, making him, as he was prior to his training, one of the fastest heroes of the Association. After training, he increased this, as his augmentation increases his base power naturally. His strength and speed is powerful enough that he can jump very high and look like he's flying up for a small moment. He is able to move fast enough to leave after images many more times faster than he was before, and now arguably the fastest, at least he thinks. Furthermore, he is actually able to use his power to in fact teleport. By reducing himself to spaced out ionized atoms, he can move at such speeds, he will appear almost instantly, in reality, but to the world, it is instant. This takes focus as he had to turn himself into this state, but when he does, it's arguably the fastest thing as he's moving far past the speed of sound and lighting.

Nagoya activating the ionized form. His hair rising from the energy released.

Ionized Form/Super Star: A powered up form, the Ionized state is when his body becomes fully augmented, his eyes will glow, hair might glow slightly or stand up, but mostly his hands and forearms are pure whitish/golden hue with a hum and sparks of electricity dancing around them. When in this form, Nagoya is much more devastating. An example to display how different it is would be him beating his Android arc self easily, with it taking a fully ionized state Android arc Nagoya to fight at even levels. Every punch has the power to send blasts of plasma out, and anything that is covered in light, as noted the arms normally are, generally are almost too hot to be touched and can burn victims, due to it

mimicking how a star works, being plasma and all. Nagoya isn't coating himself, he's turning his body into plasma that represents his body's form. All his physical condition stats increase as they would from what is stated above, but slightly above those.

Full Ionization/Ultra Star: Nagoya's complete and ultimate power. In this state, Nagoya's stats increase so dramatically. This form is 3x+ the power of the Ionized Form, due to it actually fully ionizing Nagoya, becoming a new being. This form opens up a new set of techniques, such as the Black Gamma Ray Burst, which is one of his most powerful attacks, so dense that it absorbs gravity itself for the short life it has, which is generally a second and a half or less. His durability, strength, speed, reflex, and senses are greatly increased and he is comes a pure being of light, if a star could take the shape of a human. This form also can kill him as it increases his breathing and heart rate so much that he can only hold it for a total of 10 seconds, but due to his speed and how his brain perceives events, that 10 feels like an hour or so. Even trying to go in this form takes a physical toll on Nagoya and is immensely painful.

Ugh, I'd have to completely redo this all over again. This has to be the second time trying to fit the wiki format to the site. : /
