Mystery City. A city full of tragedy, unfulfilled dreams, and a dreariness that could only be obtained from the gloomy undertaking of a foul-smelling carton of milk. But now, someone has come to put this place back together, to fix the wrongs that have festered within this town, and turn them into right's...

In Mystery City, you will play as a detective who has recently moved into the aforementioned city and joined up with law enforcement to aid their cause. You, the readers, will be allowed to make the detective however you please in many ways, and while their may be choices, many narrative posts will leave things open-ended, and up to the audience. And while you control this character, keep in mind that Mystery City is not a DC television drama. The name of the story and main location should be signal enough that the whole plot may not be entirely realistic or serious, with comedy and general shenanigans sprinkled within.

Remember: This is an adventure game. Your goal is to help the citizens of Mystery City by stopping crimes, solving puzzles, exploring, avoiding obstacles, find missing objects, and other such tasks. Doing certain missions and/or actions may even grant you Achievements if done correctly.

However, if you are interested, please feel no obligation to post here. Jump in and out as you please, as their will rarely be any restrictions on what you can and cannot do as the audience.

Detective Laurence Treck, a hard drinking man who can’t forget about the friends his lost during the war, He set out into Mystery City in the hopes he could find a way to put his own life back together the only way he knew how. The job and putting the puzzle together were all he had left tying him to society. It made him get out of bed and put on a clean suit.

L. Treck was known by many as a loner burnout going for pension back in his old town. One day something snapped that made him want more. He drove to the city of broken dreams with a case of whiskey bottles on the back seat and two duffel bags with his whole life in them. Maybe somewhere out there was the answer to his insomnia.
