I made this for a combat heavy roleplay (mainly for when we're fighting each other) and figured I'd share. I welcome feedback of all kinds :)


There are three stats: health, attack, and evade. You get 9 points to allot between these stats. The minimum in a stat is 1, while the maximum is 5.

Health: # of hits you can take
Attack: # of attack dice you roll
Evade: # needed to beat to hit you

When you make an attack, you roll as many six-sided dice as your attack score.
A has Attack: 3. A rolls 3d6 to attack. They roll 5, 2, 4.
B has Attack: 4. B rolls 4d6 to attack. They roll 4, 2, 6, 3.

Compare the results against the targets Evade. Everything above their Evade hits.
B has Evade: 2. A’s 5 and 4 hit. B takes two hits.
A has Evade: 4. Only B’s 6 hits. A takes one hit.

Each attack deals 1 hit (multiple hits can be flavored as one big hit).
A has Health: 2. A took one hit. They are at Health: 1.
B has Health: 3. B took two hits. They are at Health: 1.

Now describe the scene as if it happened all at once. Repeat this process until someone reaches Health: 0. If both characters drop to Health: 0 in the same round, it’s a tie.
