“Neuro Vampire, Max Steel, and Crimson Star with Black Eagle as the team leader. Listen, you guys are the heroes and we are service members but we are all the 4th Hero Forces Group together. I, Major Payne, will be the OIC and Master Sergeant Masterson will be NCOIC. We work together but we have different lanes. Just as the rest of the service members have their different roles.

You 4 engage the enemy, we back you up. It’s not in our job description to become decisively in close combat with villains. You can count on us to arrange to have rifleman squads pin down simple gun carry goons. A lot of our support lies in being your liaisons, coordinators, and handlers with military assets which includes fires, logistics, intel, and transportation.

With that said we would like to welcome you to the 4th Hero Forces Group. Welcome, to Fort Bliss Texas.” Major Payne briefed them. They stood in the middle of Biggs Army Airfield near the chinook that dropped off these heroes from reception at Leonard Wood.

Major Payne, a black American man clad in OCP pattern ACU with a golden leaf on his chest and a US Army Tape over his left breast pocket. MSG Masterson, a blonde white woman clad in OCP pattern ABU with a chevron with multiple rockers on his chest and a US Air Force Tape over his left breast pocket.

These four heroes will get very familiar with these two over time. Every the heroes want runs through them and what the military sends to or wants to go the heroes also comes through them.

Tatsuya glanced around, starry eyed and full of excitement. He couldn't believe it, he was really here, as a trainee hero no less! He was going to help people, all while using his Quirk!

... a quirk he didn't really know how to use yet.

He mentally shook that thought off. He would have plenty of time to train, for sure? He hoped so at least.

With all that in mind, his excitement was overflowing. His chest vents revved, causing his wings tucked behind him to grow hotter. Hopefully he wouldn't accidentally burn anything, or anyone. He's accidentally burnt through his own clothes before, not enough to leave him exposed but enough to embarrass himself with his own excitability.

Beryl, standing tall in her uniform as she wore her sleek, metallic gauntlets that glinted faintly under the Texas sun. The young and determined woman adjusts her stance and nods respectfully toward Major Payne and MSG Masterson.

Her sharp amber eyes scan the airfield, already picking up the faint hum of metal in the nearby Chinook and the scattered equipment around Biggs Army Airfield. Her voice steady but carrying a quiet intensity.

“Major Payne, Master Sergeant Masterson, thank you for the welcome sir, ma’am, sir! I’m honored to be part of the 4th Hero Forces Group. I understand our roles, and I’m ready to work hard with the team to engage threats and support the mission. You can count on me.”

She glances briefly at her teammates—Neuro Vampire, Crimson Star, and Black Eagle—before turning back to the officers, her expression serious but earnest.

“I’ve got one question, sir, ma’am. What’s our first objective here at Fort Bliss? I’d like to know what we’re shaping up for so I can start prepping.”

Beryl’s stance was formal with her hands against her back and her chest heaved up high as she could feel her fingers twitch slightly, already itching to manipulate the scrap she senses nearby, ready to prove her worth as both a hero and an engineer.

“Sanchez! don’t get me wrong and I appreciate the enthusiasm, but you’re out of line solider! Now’s not the time to ask all these questions just stand there and look pretty, take in the Texan view… I’ll brief you all in a moment.”

Beryl’s cool steel facade broke in that moment as she felt her shoulders lurch up and her eyes widened for a moment, flustered as she looked down. “M-my apologies! Sir…Uh-s-sorry, sir.” Beryl took a moment before taking a deep breath which helped remove the fainted red color of her cheeks as she regained her composure and went back to standing up tall and looking back with a firm steely gaze.

“Fort Bliss will be our home station for the time being. Our current operation will take us into nearby New Mexico. Anything, further wi be briefed in the SCIF by the J2.” MSG Masterson responded.

“Aww give em a break old man. Most of us standing here were civilians not too long ago. Your military protocol or whatever is bound to go over our heads. We’re more weapons than soldiers here.” Cole chimed in after Major Payne popped one on Beryl.

“That’s enough, report to the our SCIF at building 3838 at 1000. Time now is 0856. Do not be late. That red van over there in your transport.” Major Payne pointed to a red van chilling a dozen meters from the chinook.

Cole turned and stepped off preferring to not go back and forth with their new leadership. At least not yet. Cole eyed the weirdo with the wings he seemed too happy be here. He chose to mind his own business.

Black Eagle thought as he could feel his head throbbing behind his closed eyes and furrowed brows as he stood there looking at the new recruits fresh from bootcamp, dressed in his military coat over his specter suit. Between Sanchez’s eager outburst and Reynold’s little remark Leon could feel his jaw clench, his left eyebrow was already twitching as he could feel the threat of a smirk pull at the corner of his lips…

“Aw hell…Here go already, Lord help me…” The veteran soldier thought as he took a smooth inhale…it hasn’t even been 5 minutes and already 2 out of the 3 talked out of turn and were out of line…though he couldn’t blame them, they’re brand new and haven’t been shaped into protocol.. They were still just kids after all…Old enough to die for this country but not old enough to drink.

Black Eagle definitely had his work cut out for him, this was the first time he would be in charge of a few brats, barely legal and already being sent out to war that was the world. He wondered if it was fate that fatherhood would somewhat prepare him for just such an occasion. Hearing Cole’s wise crack and Black Eagle opened his dark eyes and shifted over to the older teen with a glare.

“Thank you Sir, Major Payne! That’s more than enough time to lock in and get to know the potential of my new set of power tools. God Bless America!”

Black Eagle finally spoke up, like an Eagle his presence boomed around him in his tone as he wanted to get a handle on who he was looking at and what exactly he would be working with.

Black Eagle studied each individual carefully, his quirk already working as his he took in their face, the way they walked and facial expressions, analyzing them to the very detail and already learning at a rapid rate.

Watching Sanchez , his cold stare softened ever so slightly…He tried to take equality into account but in that moment, Sanchez reminded him of his own daughter who was back at home with her grandparents.

“Max Steel… You seem to be as stiff as the metal you manipulate but from what I saw earlier when you spoke out of turn…Just like metal under heat you’re clearly malleable. Your potential won’t go to waste here in what’s usually a metal wasteland that’s for sure.”
Then came Ryusei looking like an exchange student straight from Japan, he didn’t even have to read his file just to know from his own Japanese blood that ran in him from his father’s side. His gaze on Ryusei was more tense, but he couldn’t deny the excitement he felt from the young man.

“Crimson Star… That’s quite the name, and with your quirk? The hell are you smiling for? Though I have to admit, I’m tickled to be able to have some ariel coverage so I’m eager to witness your quirk in action. Looking forward to bringing out your formidable potential soldier… Just try not to die…It would be a major bummer…”

The lastly here he was facing Reynolds. This time his whole face twisted into what looked like absolute disgust. It was almost like looking at a mirror of his former self…more a like than he’d like to admit…

“Nuero Vampire…You’re a problem…” Black Eagle stated bluntly, “No idea what God was thinking with bestowing you with the gift that you have. I would call that irresponsible of him but then again, he does work in mysterious ways…I’ll be sure to keep my boot on you and your smart mouth…I’ll transform that problem into something productive around here.”

He was cold towards Reynolds but Black Eagle knew he had to establish dominance by meaning of challenging this kid… He knew he wasn’t dealing with paper skin…He was dealing with what he knew what each soldier needed. 3 completely different personalities that he needed to navigate and have working together.

“Well this has been quite the treat! 3 out of 3 gold pulls it seems…I feel like little Timmy on Christmas Day.” Black Eagle began as a small grin finally formed on his face.

“Alright, I guess I should introduce myself…just call me Black Eagle, if you don’t know who I am…Good, you better not know who I am… I started out in the front lines like all of you are about to be and if you live to see next year that’ll be great…The chances all three of you standing before me in a couple of years from now is…not that high but actually…I’d say you have your slightly fair chances.”

There was a moment of pause and Takakara let the awkward silence fill the moment, it almost seemed like it was for a dramatic effect before suddenly speaking up

“We’ve got a two-hour window, soldiers let’s take advantage of that to hone in , I know you all have already been through Boot Camp but I wasn’t there to see if you guys actually belong here or if Linda made another mistake….There’s a lot of paper work involved here. Let’s go, a quick warm up! I want full quirk demonstrations, before we dismiss and I’ll see you at the briefing—starting with you, Jet Lag! Move! ” Black Eagle’s lips curl into a razor-sharp grin as he jabs a finger at Ryusei, his voice suddenly amplified from cool and collected to a drill sergeant’s bark as he could see Sanchez jump slightly from his sudden orders.

Tatsuya froze and quickly schooled his expression into something more neutral when he was first called out. God, how embarrassing... already making a fool of himself.

He visibly flinched at being called Jet Lag. Yeah, that was painfully accurate. Jet-like wings yet he hadn't figured out how to get off the ground yet. Well, that wasn't entirely true. He could get off the ground, it was just staying off the ground that was the hard part.

And landing safely.

Needless to say he was lagging behind in terms of being able to use his Quirk.

He scrambled to move as he was commanded, his legs moving and jets igniting before he had fully registered what was wanted of him. Tatsuya sprinted around the perimeter of the tarmac, his wings angled behind him to propel him forward with the aid of his jets. His laps were just a few minutes each, impressive, but still not the fastest he could go. He wasn't sure if going as fast as he could would be safe here, considering the somewhat limited space and the roar of his jets making a lot of noise. This would just have to do.

Major Payne and MSG Masterson disappeared as soon as Black Eagle took charge of the group. No one would notice them hopping into their own HMMVVWW and popping smoke amidst Black Eagle’s speech.

Cole didn’t know to be more offended as Crimson Star being the favorite or Black Eagle hostile attitude towards him. Who was Cole kidding, it was definitely Crimson Star being the favorite. Cole was so annoyed by that he forgot to give a smart ass response to Black Eagle. Black Eagle’s declaration that their chances of survival are low was the honest truth and he appreciated that. At least one adult understands the nonsensical decision making that conscripts teenage civilians into such a savage profession.

Cole watched Crimson Star’s quirk demonstration with confusion. He did not understand what kind of quirk does things like that. He was aware of the quirk singularity doomsday theory and how quirks can evolve over generations. This must be one of those complex quirks that has traits from multiple.

Beryl’s gaze locked onto Tatsuya as he froze, her eyes then flicked to Cole, standing nearby, his expression sour. He’d been bristling since Black Eagle’s earlier hostility, clearly stung by something he said though Beryl didn’t really catch any of it, she was too busy steeling her own nerves but she noted he didn’t give his usual retorts.

taking her attention back to Tatsuya she watched as he made his demonstration of what his quirk was capable of, its bizarre complexity lingered in her mind. Cole’s confusion had mirrored her own; that quirk, a chaotic blend of traits. Keeping this in mind, she mentally filed it away, focusing on shaking off her confusion and fixing her face to look more composed as she continued to stand and watch.

Her eyes studied Black Eagle, his expression to when he gave the order to watching Tatsuya’s demonstration didn’t seem to change at all, he was difficult to read, but what she did notice was how his eyes darted as if following Tatsuya’s every move. After he was done with his laps, she watched as Black Eagle simply stared at Tatsuya once he was done, his expression not wavering but his eyes burrowed into the young man with intensity as he took a moment to continue studying the rookie before him as he thought about his next words.

“…That was absolutely hot garbage…But I was expecting much worse to be honest. Not your fault…The bar was set below the dirt back in training camps, it seems we’ve been taking anybody with a quirk these days since the events of the fallen Stars and Stripes…We’ll work on that, that’ll do soldier.”

Black Eagle was firm, his jaw clenched and his brows furrowed, he didn’t like what he saw but it definitely gave him a look at what he was working with, maybe in a short time he’ll be able to help Tatsuya unlock his full potential, hopefully he had the determination to live long enough to see it through.

Takakara’s own quirk which is heavily reliant on studying the quirks of others made a mental note as he registered the demonstration in his mind almost like a computer.

Walking past Beryl, Black Eagle’s line of sight lands in Reynolds.

“Alright fangs…It’s your turn. Time to lock in and show me what exactly what you got…Don’t worry about my expectations, I can tell you now that none of you are going to exceed it. ”

Black Eagle chided as he glanced at Sanchez before locking his gaze on Reynolds. He remembered reading into Cole’s file, his quirk sounded like it had the potential to save lives on the battlefield if he used it how he would expect him to…but that depends on what he needed to see from him.

Tatsuya seemed to wilt under Black Eagle's assessment.

"W-wait! I haven't shown everything!" He stammered, desperately trying to impress his superior.
"I have a lot of dexterity in my wings, see?" He angled them almost 180⁰ from where they had been angled behind him, to in front of him. Then he extended them further in front of himself, pointing the jet 'fingers' like a spear.
"I can also use them offensively! More than just a speed boost! And I've um, been working on sustained flight! I can try to show that too! Or maybe a spar with Neuro Vampire would be a good demonstration for both of us? For my offensive abilities and his over all? I-if that's okay, of course!"

“Fangs? I don’t have fangs. My name might have vampire in it but it doesn’t work the way you think.” Cole said.

Cole clenched his fist and an aura of black and red electricity began to rage around him. He moved in a supersonic instantaneous burst of speed from the next to Beryl and Black Eagle to about 15 meters away from them. This is the speed enhancement capability but used in a short burst. A long distance travel would still be fast but not blink of an eye fast. The difference between a sprint and a distance run.

He looked at Crimson Star who wanted to spar with him. The thought irritated Cole but also excited him. Cole already acknowledged flying would be a struggle so it have to very quick leap or wait for him to swoop in low. Cole realized he should probably see if he can use his quirk to fly at some point or train that capability.

A red van pulled up behind Beryl and Black Eagle. It dumped out the newest member of the Hero Team for 4th Group. Seabeast, a black haired and very emo looking woman.

“Hey, Black Eagle, some more heroes may trickle in. Some of them had…issues coming in from training.” The driver yelled before driving off.

Black Eagle stood poised on the field, his sharp eyes scanning the unfolding scene with a calm, calculating intensity. The wind tugged lightly at the edges of his sleek, dark costume and the military jacket over it. He observed Cole’s sudden burst of speed, the crackle of black and red electricity that sparked in the air. The kid’s power was raw, impressive, but undisciplined—“…I’ve seen that trick before, still caused many casualties.” Black Eagle replied, his brows furrowed he looked more annoyed but with a subtle tilt of his head slightly interested but still looked disgusted.

Crimson Star’s challenge to spar hung in the air, and Black Eagle’s gaze flicked between the two, sensing the tension brewing. He had a fleeting thought about it. Potential was there and the thought of making them spar against one another definitely crossed his mind but then there was still Payne to answer to.

The field thrummed with potential—Cole’s volatile quirk, Tatsuya’s eagerness, Beryl’s quiet presence, Black Eagle’s mind was already mapping out the team’s dynamics, strengths, and weaknesses from what he read on their files. He felt the familiar rush of being back in action, the weight of his support gear a comforting reminder of his purpose.

“Offering a spar match? In this economy? For free? Funny how you bring that up soldier, I was already planning on that for a later drill but, no time like the present I suppose...”

Takakara’s eyes briefly flicker over from the boys over to the rigid blonde. “Sanchez!” Beryl jumped as she just nodded at the new arrival of Seabest before looking over. “Yes sir?” She asked with a formal salute. “You’ll stand out from this one, let it be amongst them…I think you would benefit more if you studied your fellow soldier…Not to mention you can show me your quirk with some quality repairs that need to be made around here. This place is worn to crap.” To the others this may have seemed like a major insult to what their quirks could be capable of…but to Beryl she felt relief and excitement wash over her as she smiled lightly. Relieved she didn’t have to fight. Working with metal manipulation she couldn’t promise that she wouldn’t crush anyone as she’s always been known to be a bit of a heavy hitter but making repairs was her favorite pastime.

“Sir, yes sir!”
Black Eagle cocked a brow, he was expecting her to get upset or insulted but now he’s wondering why that would be more exciting before turning his attention to Tatsuya and Cole. “Alrighty you two have 5 minutes, refrain from breaking each other’s bones and though eye poking is allowed, eye gouging is…let’s just try to refrain from that… 3… 2… 1… LOCK IN and show me WHY they chose your sorry asses!” Black Eagle barked.

Crimson Star wasted no time in turning his jet-wings forwards and letting an explosive burst blast out from his wings towards Neuro Vampire, which also pushed himself back away as well. He knew keeping his distance, while it wouldn't win him the fight, would keep Neuro from touching him. While that was a decent beginning of a strategy, that's all it was. He was gonna have to come up with a plan and fast on how to neutralize his opponent. Preparing for a possible counter, he braced himself to possibly dodge or block an incoming attack once the smoke and flash from his jets obscuring his vision cleared.

Neuro Vampire Neuro Vampire LadyPike LadyPike

“That was awfully inspiring.” Cole said under his breath. Cole dodged the explosive burst with another instantaneous burst of speed. This one was in a low altitude leap forward and to the left of his previous position.

His enhancement went into strength and durability as he landed stomping the ground causing hit to upheave around him. The visual looked probably like he had stepped on a land mine. The dirt mixed with the smoke from Crimson Star’s attack visually concealing himself from Crimson Star completely.

Cole stomped with his other foot upheaving the ground again to dislodge some large boulder sized chunks of rocks. Cole began to grabbing and hurling the chunks of concrete towards Crimson Star. They came at subsonic velocity as Cole began to hurl them with strength and speed enhancement.

Tatsuya winced as he was pelted by rocks from the dust and smokescreen, bringing his wings between them to block the worst of it.
He needed to do something about this visibility.

Sucking in air through his chest vents, and simultaneously expelling it through his jets without igniting it, he inhaled and exhaled the dust in the air away. What didn't get blown away by his wings were sucked into his chest and any debris burned. It wasn't the most comfortable solution, but it worked well enough.

Saving a bit of air at the end to ignite and propell himself forward, he reached a wing out in the previously shown spear-esque shape, hoping to land a hit on Cole.
Neuro Vampire Neuro Vampire

Cole smirked because he knew he was about to do something reckless. He would need to aim this very closely to not mortally wound himself but still execute his move.

A smart person would probably try to avoid the wing. A really talented person would dodge need the thrust and attack as they pass by each other. A reckless person would attack dead on in a game of chicken.

Cole chose to do none of these things. He moved in an instantaneous burst of speed. He dashed towards the inertia controlled Crimson Star. He angled his body to avoid the wing but collide with Crimson Star’s body. The difference in momentum would knock the wind out of Neuro Vampire and maybe crack a few ribs. However, the contact would allow him to began pumping thousands of volts of bio electricity into Crimson Star.

Crimson Star thought fast enough to bring his arms up to grapple Neuro Vampire, but not fast enough to realize that was a terrible terrible mistake.

While the impact itself winded Tatsuya, as most of the body slam impacted his chest, and made his jets sputter, it wasn't where his mistake was made. No, he was surprisingly impact resistant for the most part. That wasn't a problem.

But the electricity was. The bio-voltage made his muscles contract and spasm painfully, which with his grapple only pulled his opponent closer involuntarily, his clawed hands digging into Neuro Vampire's shoulders and piercing skin.

Tatsuya hadn't wanted to draw blood, but he had no control over the electricity frying his nervous system right now. Ouch.

They both ended up falling in a heap, tatsuya unable to do much at the moment but grip Cole as the bio-electricity wouldn't let him relax any of his muscles to let go.

Neuro Vampire Neuro Vampire LadyPike LadyPike

Alright, we shock him enough. Need to drain him and heal now. Cole thought to himself as tumbled across concrete cracking it with each impact. Cole eased up on the shocking and instead went into draining bioelectricity from Crimson Star. The draining of bioelectricity to the point Cole does it often causes weakness, temporary paralysis, and numbness. If he were to drain a person completely they’d probably die, Cole always stops when someone passes out to avoid killing them.

As the bioelectricity flows from Crimson Star to Neuro Vampire, Cole’s wounds would begin to mend themselves. Cole could also feel his own body become more energized and stamina begin to recover.

DovahBeat DovahBeat LadyPike LadyPike

Great, this was just great. This spar was Tatsuya's idea and he was losing. so much for impressing Black Eagle... unless...

The moment Cole stopped discharging bioelectricity into him in favor of draining him, he inhaled sharply, and ignited his wings. He was gonna get caught in his own blast, but hopefully he'd at least get Cole off him before he passed out. Even if they could just end in a stalemate he'd be happy. Or survive til the timer ran out.

Beryl Sanchez stood on the sidelines, her golden-brown eyes sharp and unyielding as they tracked every movement of the sparring match unfolding before her. Her blonde hair, streaked with faint hints of amber, was pulled back into a tight bun, though a few stubborn strands clung to her sweat-dampened forehead.

She swiped them away impatiently, her focus unwavering despite the growing unease knotting in her chest.

Her comrades faced off in the ring, their faces taut with determination. Cole, crackled with faint arcs of bioelectricity that danced across his knuckles, his quirk allowing him to both generate and siphon energy with devastating precision.

Tatsuya, who first expressed that he was dissatisfied with his earlier demonstration, held his head high, the hum of his quirk as it seemed to rev up for his ignition-like wings that reminder her of a fighter jet. Both had already demonstrated their quirks earlier in the day, but Sergeant Takakara, known by his hero alias Black Eagle, had deemed their displays insufficient. “Show me application, not parlor tricks,” he’d barked, his voice like gravel, before ordering this spar to test their mettle.

Beryl’s gaze flicked briefly to the sergeant, his piercing gray eyes were locked on the fight with an intensity that made her skin prickle. His expression was unreadable, save for the slight furrow of his brows and the faint purse of his lips, as if he were dissecting every move, searching for something specific. His earlier words echoed in Beryl’s mind: “Study them, Sanchez. Learn how their quirks function, how they think, how they break. That knowledge will keep you alive.” She’d nodded then, her face mirroring his stoic demeanor, but now, as the spar grew increasingly volatile, doubt gnawed at her.

In the arena, the fight was escalating dangerously. Tatsuya, who’d suggested the spar in a bold attempt to impress Black Eagle, was faltering. Cole had him pinned, his hands clamped around Tatsuya’s forearms, draining his energy with ruthless efficiency. The air hummed with the faint buzz of Cole’s bioelectricity, and Tatsuya’s face was pale, his jaw clenched as he fought to stay conscious. Beryl’s fingers twitched at her sides, itching to intervene with the use of her quirk, metal morph, but she held back. Black Eagle’s orders were absolute: observe, don’t interfere.

Tatsuya, however, wasn’t done. Beryl’s heart lurched. She couldn’t help but think that Tatsuya and Cole were reckless. Beryl’s gaze darted back to Black Eagle, her pulse hammering. The sergeant’s squinting eyes and furrowed brow betrayed a flicker of concern—or was it calculation? She couldn’t tell. The intensity of the spar was turning reckless amongst them both. Her stoic facade cracked, and she stepped forward, her voice low but urgent.

“My apologies for speaking out of turn, sir, but… please stop this.” Her golden-brown eyes, usually so composed, were wide with plea as they met his. “They’re pushing too far. Someone’s going to get hurt.” Black Eagle’s head tilted slightly, his gaze shifting to her for the first time.

The weight of his scrutiny was suffocating, and for a moment, the chaos of the spar seemed to fade into the background. Would he listen? Or would he let the fight burn on, testing not just Cole and Tatsuya, but her own resolve as well?

Seconds felt like hours as Beryl’s eyes widened and her frown grew, brows furrowed with frustration before suddenly shutting her eyes as she held out her hands Before suddenly a sheet or metal aimed to smack Tatsuya. As Black Eagle watched on, ignoring Beryl’s plea, his eyes widened ever so slightly at the random sheet that flew by like a paper plane as he wondered where she was able to get it…then again around base you could find metal anywhere.

Neuro Vampire Neuro Vampire DovahBeat DovahBeat

Tatsuya had just unleashed the blast from his wings, catching himself and Cole within it, when a sudden sheet of flying metal collided with his face and chest. Crimson Star coughed as the air was once more knocked out of him. At least the sheet of metal would've been large enough to force Neuro Vampire away, lest his hands get sliced off at the wrist from the large sheet of metal dividing them.
Tatsuya used this as an opportunity to push the sheet of metal up against Cole, pushing him away enough that Tatsuya could stagger to his feet. He panted softly, trying to catch his breath, as his tail flicked in agitation behind him.
Black Eagle hadn't declared a winner or end to the match yet. And as if he was going to admit defeat that easily.
He wiped at his nose, finding it bloody where he'd been hit with the metal. He spared a withering glance at Beryl, but quickly refocused back to Cole.
Then he went to lunge for Cole once more, his claws outstretched to pierce while his wings, like spears, blocked Cole's possible exits on his left and right side. Unless he wanted to risk getting stabbed.

Cole was preparing to let go and leap away from Tatsuya as soon as he heard the wings move. When he saw them start to light up he let go jumping back just as he did, a large sheet of metal embedded itself between himself and Crimson Star.

Cole figured the fight was done being they had been third partied. Cole put his enhancement into only speed sparking red bio electric sparks as he moved in another supersonic instantaneous burst of speed directly in front of Beryl and Black Eagle. However, he heard hostile movement and looked over his shoulder to see Crimson Star still coming for him. Only this time Crimson would have to pause his attack or skewer everyone standing there.

“Good thing you’re doing repairs later there Max Steel…” Black Eagle said, humored by Beryl’s boldness as she tried to stop Tasuya. Her breath hitched and her eyes widened when she saw a glimpse of Tatsuya. She held her hand up to her mouth in concern as she regretted that moment…

Still with hesitance, Max reached out and from the distance she started with her palms open as she started to slowly close them into a fist as she fought to wrap Crimson in the sheet to bind him…She targeted him knowing she could at least keep her eye on his vs Neuro who could vanish in an instant. “Sir! I don’t think this is following safety protocol!” Max pleaded as Black Eagle simply raised a brow. “Hey, sometimes we don’t make it to the field Max…” Black Eagle replied with a cool almost dismissive tone as Max furrowed her brows and gritted her teeth.

"Ack!" Tatsuya grunted as he was slowed to a halt and wrapped within the metal sheet. Being suddenly halted and confined, he lost his balance and fell backwards.
"Ow..."
He found the metal sheet was covering his chest vents, restricting his breathing.
He knew when he'd been beat, even if it wasn't a fair fight. He stayed on the ground, trying to catch his breath as fatigue caught up to him.
But the metal wrapped around his chest made him feel like he was suffocating. He probably wasn't, it was probably just the same amout of air an average person needed, but he wasn't used to that.
"C-can you let me go now? Hard to... breathe..."

“I guess we’re done here.” Cole said. His eyes widened a little bit at watching Max Steel bind up Crimson Star. However, the kid was out of control so it was necessary.

Cole dusted himself off revealing his injuries healed and even ribs no longer showing bruising from being cracked. Cole did not even looked tired anymore. All benefits of draining Crimson Star’s bio electricity.

However, the reckless nature of the strategy he went with did begin to haunt the back of his mind. Maybe Cole should have used his surroundings more or kept close enough to keep it a martial arts fight. The memory of mending cracked ribs still stings as even if he heals, he still feels it all.
