Elisabeth nodded at Luke as he mentioned he had studied martial art for years and secretly wondered why he didn't say his quirk openly. Did he not trust them? They were meant to work as a team, how could he not? Was it- was he quirkless? Elisabeth shook her head to rid herself of these doubts. Now was not a good time to doubt a team mate and anyways they would all find out soon enough whether or not Luke had a quirk. Judging my Ryan and Luke's lack of reply to her question, she assumed they weren't quirk user's that worked best long range.

She watched silently as the villains moved in, to find the the victims. She sighed. Their plan was hardly perfect and they hadn't even split up yet.

"Okay, here's how it's going." Elisabeth said, taking initiative, "Scarlette and Tobias will keep an eye out for villains. Ryan and Luke with pair-" She stopped, remembering the distaste Ryan seemed to have for Luke when she had come over. She sighed. "Scratch that, me and Luke with go for a victim and Ryan will go alone for a victim. Alright?"
She didn't mention she was going with Luke in case he was quirkless. She thought he might not be so happy about that.
They would join the mix in under 30 seconds.
"If you guys have any problems with the arrangement, now's the time to talk." Elisabeth said, slightly worried for the lack of time they had. Boy, things moved fast in UA. Like real life, she supposed.

Once the victims made a move on, the villain group held a quick discussion about their quirks since they haven't formally introduced each other yet, and can't evaluate a good strategy if they do not even know the other's capabilities in a conflict. Whilst they were huddled, Kyosuke managed to look around to see where Ryan has went. Based on the direction he went, it could either be the weird, red, dome over there or the water pool with the sunken ships. As for the other victim, it wasn't something he happened to notice, and hoped the others can follow their intuition instead. Before he can suggest anything however, the dreaded starting siren blared, with Ms. Nightblade and Mr. Jet Strike telling them to start finding the victims.

"um ihh... Real quick suggestion. I think it's best if we split to find the victims because it would be bad if the other one was escorted when we all group together-- and there's no time. I-i have to guess where that one black-haired boy went, and also time is ticking. Um, uh... Oh uh, lion boy comes with me" Kyosuke blurted out whatever name first came to his head, and made a mad dash towards the sunken boats, hoping Leon can follow. However when he reached the slide area after a bit of a trek, he realized there was not much of a hiding place: the boats that were still intact are too far out in the pool for Kira to swim within a minute, and the surrounding floor was barren. If Kira can somehow breath underwater-- no, he wasn't taking the chances of that being Kira's quirk. He doesn't even look like he has gills or even have an aquatic mutation of sorts. Oh well, there goes... 7 minutes, after a quick mental calculation through deductions and assumptions. Once again Kyosuke doesn't hesitate to run straight around and head for the red dome area this time.

Boy was he really surprised. Why in the world does U.A. have something like this?

Inside once Kyosuke barged through the door, there was fire. Fire everywhere. Fire on the roofs, fire on the road, fire on the lamp posts, everything was on fire. Now, Kyosuke was seriously considering that victim he pursues might actually be under the water pool earlier but the obvious possibility that they can only here is just, bleh, too frustrating. Even if he was watching victim run all the way here and made a head start, he would still have to find the dude in such a dangerous place. However, they have to seek out that victim quick, whether the rescuers already deduced where the victims went and were already here or not.

In actuality, the reason he stuttered and panicked and then called out to the lion first was that, although it appeared he was merely saying whatever came to his mind first, he just wanted to gain a bit of time with the bits of grunts and groans to have an excuse to think. Only lion man and light transmuter were the combat based villains in their team, whilst him and the amplifier quirk girl were somewhat more supportive, so choosing to be with the girl was out of the question. Thus, it was a quick deduction to choose between the two combat based villains. He trusts the boy as much as the lion, given he doesn't know of either of them yet, but the synergy of the two other villains being together is simply greater, so being with the lion is thus the better choice for the split in the villains. Speaking of...

"Hey, um uh I hope I'm not wrong to assume you can sense anyone, but if you do, please notify me. Also, i'm sorry to drag you into this... But i really didn't c-catch your name. Who are you?" Kyosuke asked, now only realizing in literally the heat of the moment on who this lion man was. Kyosuke wanted to find the victim as soon as possible. He plans to secure the victim before the rescuers do. Each second is worthy for their team

“No problems at all..” he muttered as he made a jolt of flames burst on his shoulders as a sort of flare effect of his fire manipulation-like quirk “I’ll search the conflagration area, I work better in fire conditions anyways.” He said as he cracked his neck and knuckles. Not to mention his suit was nearly immune to anything...almost anything anyway, of course there were a few weak spots in his armor, but you would need very perceptive vision to see. His thoughts then trailed off to Scarlett’s father, thinking that it was very possible for him to overpower him, geo and scarlett, so he had to give it his all during every training session. Shaking the thought out of his head quickly he then replied “Where should we meet up once we’ve completed with the rescue thing?” Ella Victoria Ella Victoria FireMaiden FireMaiden DuckMannnn DuckMannnn DaveTendo DaveTendo

Scarlett watched as off in the distance, she spotted movement. "I think the victims just got around to hiding," She mumbled, before turning back to Elisabeth. "Sounds good." She was also wondering why Luke hadn't shared his quirk, but, who knows. "Luke, you good with that?" He must have an embarssing quirk, like....transforming into a cat? Or, bigrois jazz hands! She liked the idea of vigorous jazz hands, it was kinda funny. Well, reguardless, she finally heard the shouts, and the time had started. "Ryan I think your idea of heading off towards the conflagration area is great, I think I heard someone off that way. As for me and Tobias....I'm not sure where we should go. The second shots sounded like it came from the ruins, so would should go with one of your teams....mayeb we should go with Ryan? He could focus on the rescue while we keep any villains off his back."

Ryan nodded in agreement as made sure his mask was securely tight around his face “Sounds like a good plan..” after he pulled his hood over his head, he turned back to his group “You guys ready to go?” He asked as he raised a brow under his mask, It was obvious he was taking this very seriously and did not have the patience to wait around forever as he began to tread toward the conflagration area. Elisabeth blinked at Ryan's question. She didn't know if he was joking or not, so answered his question as neutrally as possible.
"We meet outside. Back with the teachers so we can gain our points."
She shook her curls and hoped she didn't come off rude.
"Okay then, Scarlette, seems like a plan."
Elisabeth was slightly... *ahem* scaredoutofhermind. Everyone seemed so serious about this. And she was not looking forward to running into lion bo- Leon. The laws of nature pointed against a a ram coming out victorious against a lion. Though, there were always those youtube videos that had something crazy like a lion get beaten by odd animals, she doubted she could truly win against a lion. She sighed, wondering how no one else looked remotely scared. If Luke was quirkless or had a useless quirk like something... like... disco eyes, she utterly feared for them. Running into Geo and Jinx also seemed scary, she didn't fancy being rammed into with a large light sword or some light bullets or arrows flying at her. Elisabeth shuddered.
"So, Luke, fancy checking out the mountain zone?"
Elisabeth hoped that the victims weren't in ruins zone or the downpour zone - the first for it being very hard to find someone among rubble and the second because Elisabeth didn't fancy constant rainfall and being blown of her feet. Though, of course, it wouldn't matter to her if she had to. Just personal preferences. "Or did you have something else in mind?"
She was already walking up to the USJ, only turning back to ask Luke her question. They didn't have any more time for talking. It was go time.

Tobias Vrbata
It was time to go look for the Victims. Tobias ran alongside Scarlett and discussed how they'd approach the Victims and deal with the Villains. "I say we roam around the area where Ryan is going to, so that we can intercept and slow down any incoming attack. When he finds the Victim, we should escort them back to the evacuation zone before going back toghether to assist Elisabeth and Luke." He said as he began to compress a lot of air into his lungs.

Luke was ecstatic letting out a big laugh, "Let's go Elisabeth, let's see what these chumps think when we win without barely even using our quirks!" with that said Luke jolted off his feet and in a split second found himself infront of her leading the way towards the area. "C'mon slowpoke, we've got no time to lose" Luke grinned but this time with real confidence. "Mountain zone you say huh?" He asked feeling the adrenaline pump through his veins, not considering where the victims might be, all Luke really wanted to do was get in a fight. But then again he had to use his wits, he knew that. "What makes you think the victim will be hiding there? Last time I checked our best bet seemed to be the ruins zone, I swore I heard a cry coming from there" he stated trying to make out in which direction it might be. He knew his quirk would work better in closed dark areas but he wouldn't be able to withstand the heat.
"We need to move quicker" he shouted turning towards Elisabeth locking eyes with her.

Elisabeth's eyes widened at Luke's carefree attitude. She couldn't decide if he was blissfully ignorant or extremely cocky. She turned her head to the side. What an odd boy. Perhaps he had a very strong secret weapon quirk.
She broke into a wide grin, bolting after him to catch up, she didn't catch up --- her little feet and legs refused to --- but Elisabeth felt much better. Honestly, she hadn't heard a cry, hence deciding that later she must work on her listening skills. That sounded like she was some lawless idiot. "You see, I am pretty bad at hearing voices from long distance..." She giggled sheepishly, "Well to the ruin zone it is." Elisabeth said, giving Luke the thumbs up.
She nodded as Luke said they needed to move faster, furiously willing her legs on. It was easy enough for Luke to tell her to go faster, it was a different story on whether her legs would go faster.
She came up to the Rune Zone a while after Luke, enough for it to be embarrassing but not to bad, and quickly tried to act as though her little heart wasn't exploding inside of her. She truly needed to exercise more. Especially, if she wanted to be a hero.
Suddenly, a slow feeling of dread crept up her. She was the smallest. They were in terrain with a lot of small cracks. God, she was going to have to be the one to crawl through them!
"So, I guess I'll be the one who's crawling though this mess?" Elisabeth commented drily, raising one eyebrow at Luke. She sighed, gathering her strength and will power together. At least it wasn't running. That was always the plus side.
She wondered how they were going to get through the mess. Calling to the victim might attract villains. So they'd have to sieve their way through the wreckage. She peered in a crevice before catching eyes with Luke and signalling there was no one there. This was going to take a long time. Especially as it was so hard to see into the ruins that blocked sunlight. It seemed like a promising place where someone would hide but she couldn't help fear that if she made one wrong move, the whole place would collapse.
"We need to be careful not to break anything. Avoid conflict whilst on unstable ruins as much as possible." Ella whispered, not knowing why she felt like it was necessary.
"I'm going to slip in this crack, I think there might be a passage underneath the wreckage. Worth checking out. You stay up top so you can help me out and watch for villains." Elisabeth realized that Luke might get bored waiting for her, but hoped he wouldn't go off looking for the victim as she jumped down into the crack.
She was flung into pitch blackness.
"Damn, shame there's no light switch..." Elisabeth muttered.

Leon nodded at the decision to split up into two teams, sure he'd be able to fair well on his own but it would be better to have even a little backup. He didn't mind it too much when he was paired with Kyosuke, though he only hoped the boy wouldn't get in his way too much. He followed Kyosuke's lead in going toward the sunken boats but didn't stick around long as they headed toward the burning buildings. Leon wasn't a big fan of this place since all the smoke was going to make it difficult to pick up on any scents. "Well my sense of smell is pretty much shot in a place like this but I should still be able to pick up on their cries for help much easier than the rescuers." He explained as he did his best to listen for any signs of movement. "But anyway, my name is pretty simple. It's Leon."

Luke arrived to scene noticing Elisabeth was still a little far behind, he decided to breifly inspect the area while he waited for her to catch up. “This was perfect” he thought, Luke had hoped the area would turn out to be full of dark spots and that’s exactly what he got, the terrain had many cracks and crevices, she was small and strong,Luke was agile and could light the way, the perfect team for this area. As Elisabeth approached the zone Luke distracted himself shorty to examine her more attentively. She seemed exhausted, her legs were shaking, evidently speed was not her strong suit, he’d have to remember that in the future. “Took you long enough” Luke remarked jokingly, he was growing to like Elisabeth and her combative spirit, he felt they were more similar than it seemed. Elisabeth immediately understood the situation and took initiative by giving some good advice on trying to make as little noise as possible, Luke nodded and followed after her, she came across a crack and decided to slide through it landing herself into a completely pitch black surrounding. Luke tried to warn her but didn’t get the chance, he laughed “You’re a little impulsive y’know pinky” she expected him to keep watch for any villains but doing nothing was not part of Lukes nature, he wasn’t gonna let her have all the fun and get all the credit. Suddenly he knocked against the crack making enough space for him to pull through and joined her down in the darkness. “Time to introduce you to my quirk” in an instance the cave lit up with a strong light emanating from Luke’s body.
“I glow” he said trying to sound cool giving a little smirk like a kid at show n tell.

Scarlett nodded "Good luck guys!" She said, waving a bit to Elisabeth and Luke, before her, Tobias, and Ryan took off. "Yeah that's what I was thinking. And we have to be quick, it would be kinda bad if those two fail while we're fighting." She was wondering who they were going to face off against. Geo and Jinx would be a challange at any range depending on what Geo made. Leon would be a challange in close combat due to his lion physiology, and she wasn't sure if he had any special abbilites. "If your idea of basically making my projectiles bullets doesn't plan out, I have a plan B. If we could knock the enemy down, or keep them pinned against a wall or something with your air, I could use my blood to pin them there. So, they'd be stuck, and wouldnt be able to get out until I leave. Or, it should at least slow them down."

Ryan nodded as he heard Scarlett’s plan for the villains that could come at their location at any minute, adding on as he continued to walk down to the conflagration zone with them “And, as luck would have it, I can use my fire to help you guys out if need be.” He said as he lit the tip of his finger with a small flame before putting it out quickly FireMaiden FireMaiden DuckMannnn DuckMannnn

Kyosuke Nishimura

Nodding back towards the lion. He never actually expected that Leon would be his nae but who is he to judge? Kyosuke wasn't going to make such a big fuss about it. He tends to focus on what's important right now, finding the victim. Leon's physiology is good but not in a place like this. Perhaps maybe he could pull this off despite the situation. Turning his back at Leon. An idea hatched on his head. "Indeed, that is true... But i think it's not that bad since this place seems to have quite good ventilation systems. Tracking the victim down by scent is still a possibility and a chance for us to beat the rescuers to the victim. I think what you um... Mean is that... it's still possible for you to smell the v-victim but it's just more challenging." Kyosuke was confident for a second until he felt uneasy as they walked deeper into the conflagulation zone. The heat was intense. Kyosuke was sweating but he has to press forward. If they need to win this then speed might just be the answer. Kyosuke thought that the faster they beat the rescuers to the victim the higher the chance of winning. "If hear any other voices other t-than the cries of the victim... please notify me in advance. They could be the r-rescuers. We'll have to engage combat only if it's really neccessary to d-do so... Our job is to find the victim." Kyosuke told Leon what he had in mind. If only he knew who the other quirk users are then this could have been more easier for them since he has information that can help them take the upper hand but right now he has little info on things, like a real superhero situation. You have to expect the unexpected for things sometimes just doesn't go as planned. He continued to walk futher to search the victim. The more steps he takes, the more the feeling if dread rushes in his mind. The could run into the rescuers at any moment now. If that happens wil they be ready by then?

Leon Musk
Leon gave a quick nod, as much as the smoke was irritating his nose he could still make out something. He wasn't sure on the range of his senses but they were their best advantage. "I'll make sure to do that, if we do run into the rescuers first you keep moving and I'll see what I can do to slow them down." He replied as they continued deeper into the inferno. As much as he didn't like wearing shoes he kind of wished he had some right now, this heat was doing a number on his feet. He could only hope that they found the victim soon.

Kyosuke Nishimura

Giving a quick nod to Leon once more, followed with a small grunt. Kyosuke was worried if Leon will be fine all by himself. "Are you sure you are fine on your own? Then again... I might get in the way..." Kyosuke mumbled softly. The temperature of the of the conflagualtion zone was getting on to him. He wabted to get out of here as soon as possible. Without warning, Kyosuke began to do a full scale dash. Despite his size, he's actually quite quick and nimble. He dashed towards a straight direction which was ahead of them. He kinda left Leon in dust at the moment but Leon easily catch up thanks to his physiology. His flow red hood cape dancing behind him along with the high fires towering over them. Using his noggin Kyosuke used simple investigation skills to figure out where the victim is as he dashes across the burning dome, such following faint ash foot prints and checking all alternate spots to where the victim is hiding. Finally, he found the victim. His hiding spot was well chosen. He didn't call out for the victim since raising his voice from a distance will cause him to reveal his location, him and the victim. He was slowly approaching the victim. Once he got close. He softly spoke to the victim "P-please, do not resist. I only require t-the stone..." Kyosuke sounded so weak but that's how he intended it. It seems all so easy but it all had a cost. During his full scale dash investigation. He accidentally revealed himself to the rescuer's line of sight. He hardly noticed the rescuers while running. Thanks to the fire. His red cloak was exposed to the rescuers. His face maybe hidden from the hood but the red cape gives away who he is. It was aonly a few quick seconds that he got himself exposed but this 2 second exposure was enough to figure him out.

"I'm not impulsive." Elisabeth retorted, she closed her fist into a ball and feigned a look of righteousness and in a typical hero voice mustered "I'm just doing what any other selfless hero would do."
Elisabeth looked up, surprised at the sudden light. As Luke tried to pull of having a glowing quirk, Elisabeth smiled to herself. She wouldn't be herself without grabbing the opportunity to tease Luke.
"Like a glow worm!" She said excitedly, perhaps teasing him on purpose, "I hope your hero name is Glow Worm, if not I shall forever call you it."
Elisabeth smiled warmly, it was a cute quirk. The light in darkness. Ooh, that would lead to the best catch phrases! Like; do not fear, for the light is here! Maybe not so original but it still worked. She headed along the passage way, the light surprisingly strong. "There's nothing here." She muttered, slightly put off. But wait- could she hear something?
Elisabeth leaned gently onto the wall of the passage. Nothing. She sighed and backtracked.
"Haul me up, oh glowing glow worm." She said, smirking slightly. She clambered up with the help of Luke out of the passage.
"Where did you last hear a voice?" Elisabeth asked, glancing around the ruins. "It might help us out. I swear I heard something over there..." Elisabeth mumbled pointing over in the eastern direction. She was surprised they hadn't run into at least one villain, something told her that no one was looking forward to the ruin zone.

Yamato Yanase

As soon as Nightblade began the call to start the rescue team, they scramble to the various zones of USJ to hopefully find the victims before the villains do. It was already about five minutes, so the shouting victims should lead the rescuers and the villains to their location. Having said that, there was no one in sight so to pass the time, Yukiko asked about Yamato's professional opinion about the likely winners of this exercise.

"Hmm, great question, though to be honest I'm not confident myself on which team has the higher probability of winning. However, there are various factors that I can point out that can lead us to the right idea of whoever may be the victor. Well, I'll drone off from here, so question whatever point you think contradicts with whatever I say, since I might get some facts incorrect or simply blatantly wrong."

"Well, one of the more obvious factors is the team size of the two sides. One only has four, whilst the other has the rest of the class against them, and that's somewhere around six to seven students. The villains have two students who seem to not be able to be independent, and the rescuers have powerful emitters. There are rules that gives the villains advantages despite this, so let's list them out: First of all is the head start, allowing them to find the victims quicker than the rescuers. Second is that unlike the rescuers who have to rescue both victims safely, the villains only need to procure one stone from the victims and return here unscathed to win. Third, is that the rescuers are given a limit to how much they can fend off against the villains; they cannot temporarily incapacitate them for no longer than a minute, and they cannot wound them so as to cripple their movement even if we have some medical assistants assigned for this class. Lastly, and this one is related to the third one, is that the villains are given no limit to how much they can hinder the rescuers, and can do so indefinitely that they can even apprehend and tie up the rescuers if they could. Now that we've been refreshed with the rules, let's weigh them, the privileges of the villains, and the limits of the rescuers." ((Please act as if Jet Strike had stated the ones in bold early on, since I forgot to add them. Hopefully it ain't too much of a monkey wrench in your plans.))

"First off is the individual students of both teams, where both teams have the sufficient manpower to do this activity; Both teams have at least two people with great combat capabilities, both teams have at least have two people with excellent support utilities, and both teams have at least two people that are able to easily sense and/or deduce where the victims might be through a quirk. These are at least the basic necessities for this activity. Aside from the lesser number of people on the villains side, both teams are able to win evenly on that point alone. Another point is that not splitting up is not an option for the rescuers. This activity involves the case of common knowledge, where one team of students know the other team will do, and uses this to predict their reasoning. It's quite a fun idea really. Nightblade, mind if I ask you why the rescuers will always split up? It's a bit complicated, sorta like a riddle. Better if you can say how exactly they should split a seven man group." Yamato asked Yukiko, not realizing he talked up a needless storm. It might not look like it, but Yamato is way into concepts of strategies.

“Like a glow worm” Elisabeth had stated in response to the demonstration of Lukes quirk. “Seriously?” He replied a little annoyed. His power had left her completely underwhelmed but that didn’t surprise him, most people weren’t particularly impressed by his quirk, reason why he’d grown to hate it through the years. She began coming up with absurd catch phrases and nicknames, “Give it a rest will ya pinky” he exclaimed adding “Or should I start calling you porky from now on?”, they continued examining the cave area and found nothing, they soon gave up and headed back to the surface. Something was eerie about this place, Luke could feel it and Elisabeth too claimed she heard something. They were close to their target, “Let’s keep moving” he said heading on forward down through the ruins. He suddenly stopped dead in his tracks placing his ear to the ground. “I can hear breathing!”

Elisabeth laughed as Luke started to get annoyed at her nickname, she stopped when he threatened her with the nickname `porky' though.
"Porky?" Elisabeth choked.
"Is that what you think I am? A pig?" She spluttered surprised, "I won't call you glow worm if you don't ever call me porky."

Elisabeth scrambled around the cities ruins, climbing over rubble and peeking into cracks. Then, Luke mentioned that he heard breathing.
"You can hear breathing?" Elisabeth said, dumbstruck for a second. Wow, she really had terrible hearing - she must work on that later. "Don't want to burst you're bubble but that's probs me breathing... although, I didn't know I breathed so loud..."
Elisabeth shook her head, putting on a serious expression. "Are you sure it's coming from the ground? There needs to be an entrance to the underground for a victim to get there. Do you think a basement collapsed in on itself? If that's the case, a trap door might be visible."
She fell to all fours, carefully dusting the ground for any signs of a trap door. Nothing. She bumped into a large piece of concrete rubble, stopping her in her tracks.
"Ah well, guess there's nothing-" Elisabeth stopped, a smile growing on her face. Maybe this was her turn to shine!
She slipped her right hands fingers underneath the rock so that she could throw the rock in the air catching it with her fingers on her left hand.
"Anything there, Luke?" She inquired, the rock blocking her view.

Elisabeth began questioning him turning her words into a frenzy of consciousness. “Shh!” Luke attempted to interrupt her, “You like to talk don’t ya?” He teasingly remarked. Luke was in top physical condition, fast, reasonably strong and his senses were very well trained, he had to be considering how little he could count on his quirk. “I can feel the ground pulsating, I can sense something that seems to be breathing, so unless we got some monster to worry about I’d assume it is our victim” “And yes” he added “I do believe there is an entrance somewhere around here”. They began searching through the rubble until Elisabeth bumped into a large piece of rock “found anything-“ before Luke could finish his question she lifted the rubble as if it was light as a feather and asked Luke to check for any entrances. “Impressive” Luke remarked walking towards her and giving a look at what lied underneath the rubble. She had hit the jackpot, there seemed to be a passageway leading underground. “Good job Pinky, as usual your intuition doesn’t disappoint” he claimed winking at her, she was strong, much stronger than Luke had imagined. This test was gonna be a piece of cake.
“My turn” Luke began to head down slowly lighting up as the cave got darker.

Ella Victoria Ella Victoria

Elisabeth smiled at Luke's compliment, slight abashed. "Well could say the same, we're a neat team. You with you're glow, martial arts and super hearing. Quite talented."
When Luke winked at her, she tried to act as though the act had escaped her notice and covered her flushed face with her small hands.
Her smile turned into a frown, however as Luke made to jump through the trap door.
"If the victim was underneath ther-" Luke already clambered down into the cave. "Damn." Elisabeth muttered.
It just didn't make sense. If the victim was indeed hidden there, how had they maneuvered the rock on top of the trap door? Unless it had fallen on top of the victim after they had gone down. In which case, the ruin zone was way more dangerous than she had imagined. And if something like that had happened why hadn't the teachers intervened? Elisabeth sighed, jumping onto a remarkably intact brick wall and waited for Luke to reappear.
Unless, could villains be trying to trick them? But, they hadn't met with a single villain the entire time. Had the villains made traps and false trails? There was no way. They were barely given a whiles head start! What was the other villains quirk? Kyosuke was his name. What was his quirk? Super speed? She jumped back up, restless and began pacing.
"Hey, Luke, I don't think you should go down there," Elisabeth halted, she felt queasy. If a villain did make a trap for the rescuers, the planner must've been smart. And stupid --- the ruin zone was no place to fight. Though, if a villain had ambushed Luke... impossible. Luke seemed to be able to hear the slightest of movements. He couldn't be captured. Though, if a victim really did go down there and a piece of debris fell on top of their exit, then they had to rescue them. Leaving would be basically going against the hero code and the whole point of the lesson. She hoped the victim was there so they could quickly gather their points and see if they could help the others in the fire zone.

Luke cautiously made his way down though the dark cave unfortunately not paying too much attention to Elisabeths warning. “Damn.. what’s that smell?” he thought as he covered his mouth and nose in an attempt to quell the putrid stench crawling up his nostrils. He kept making his way down, he couldn’t tell how long he’d been descending but wasn’t too worried until he got to a crossroad, a choice between two tunnels. Luke closed his eyes and tried to locate the pulsating movement, he froze in fear. Something wasn’t right, his skin began to burn a little, he couldn’t keep glowing for much longer without taking a rest. “I should probably head back” And as he placed his foot down a crack from underneath echoed throughout the damp dark cave. He had stepped on something and at closer inspection he realised it was a fractured animals skull, half open and before Luke had too much time to think he felt a pulsating motion vibrate from the ground below. The victim was not here but he was pretty sure something else was, he decided to leave it be as he was running out of stamina to keep his quirk going.
Luke made his way out of the cave, “Nothing here” he stated in bored tone trying to hide the fact that he was a little creeped out by where he just went.
“Let’s keep looking”

The students have all flown into action and were all hoping they were the first to complete their side of the exercise. At least they had enthusiasm in spades. Many of the students in the rescue team have already formulated smaller teams to help achieve their objective of rescuing both victims. It was the most obvious choice to ensure they would come out victorious for their team. Jet Strike went into great detail to answer Nightblade's question. Pointing out both the pros and cons of each side. For the most part she agreed with everything he mentioned regarding the quirks of each student as well as how they can be helpful to further achieve their goals. Certainly the diversity of students was helpful to make the best out of their situation. And with the villains getting a slight head start on their objective it put the rescuers at a further disadvantage.

Jet Strike then asked a few very interesting questions: Why will the rescuers always split up? How do you split a seven man group?

Both questions had simple and complicated answers. "Simply put, it's to cover more ground. In a disaster situation our job is to be able to locate, assess, and rescue any and all victims. You'll never know how many people have been affected by a disaster and so you'll need to spread out to get a better assessment of the situation. But sometimes we can't all be organized. And even more so we can't always be given an even number of members to work with. That's just how the world works sometimes. To make up for this shortcoming however, heroes generally know each other's quirks so it becomes increasingly easier to work together out in the field and assess who should be doing what to maximize effectiveness. These kids don't have that luxury. At least not as much as we do. So they had to quickly cobble together a strategy based on what little they knew of one another. I'll admit that's a little tough for newbies, but that's just how they have to adapt." She looked at her stopwatch that she set up before hand to check the time. They have one hour to locate the victims and complete their objectives. About 15 minutes have passed since the exercise started and it seems neither side has found the victims yet. At least that's what Nightblade has assumed. Again the USJ is a large place and each zone is equally large t help simulate their respective disaster condition. She turned away from the stop watch to answer Jet Strike's question.

"As for how to efficiently split up a seven man team that would depend on the quirks and skills available to the team. In this scenario we've allowed rescuers the ability to slow down the villains but not stop them entirely. Villains however are able to completely halt the progress of the rescuers. This makes for a difficult situation if they were to come to blows. How I would split the seven man team is have the members who's quirks can work at range be the vanguards and have those who are proficient in tracking support them. This is to ensure that they will be defended while also allowing them to perform recon of their surroundings, hopefully finding the victims at the same time. Normally I would say teams of 2 or 3 with one going solo to provide interference or to bounce between teams to provide extra support. This solo member would need a quirk that's versatile. Able to allow them to move from one location to the other quickly as well as being able to attack from various ranges. They would need to be able to assess a situation and make a judgement call on whether to help the closest team or to move on and provide support elsewhere. But we also can't forget that certain quirks may be at an advantage or disadvantage depending on the conditions around them." It was obvious that Nightblade took some time to think this particular exercise over. She didn't exactly care if the students quirks were matched up to compliment or hinder one another. That simply added to the realism of the exercise. Adaptation and teamwork. That was the key factor here. "I hope that somehow answered your question Jet Strike. It was definitely one worth asking. Something I hope the students do more of as the year goes on."

"Amazing insight, so thanks for that. I know it was somewhat straightforward of a question, but you got so many points right and even some I admittedly didn't realize at first." Jet Strike said. Nightblade raised a lot of points that he expected, actually a lot more. The main point of this exercise is to see how well the students were able to adapt into this situation, as with all the other points Nightblade made. There were so many risks for almost every action the rescuers had to take if they wanted to win this ASAP. However, that is if there mentality was that this was a test; on times like these, the rescuers will have to take irrational decisions that will ensure everyone's safety.

There was another thing with how the students will also group, and that's because of a team knowing how the teams will group up, and how they will rely more on logical thinking more than following their heart. To simplify, let's start with the villains. They can either split up, or not, and since they only need to acquire one stone, there are some possibilities that are favorable for them. Here are the combinations of scenarios to how this would all work out, to which Yamato can all list:

1. The villains and rescuers don't split; they both head for different victims.
2. The villains and rescuers don't split; they both head for the same victim.
3. The villains split, and the rescuers don't.
4. The rescuers split, and the villains don't.
5. The rescuers and the villains split.

For the villains, 3 of 5 of these possibilities are favorable, namely 1, 3, & 4, and here are some reasons. The first one of course is because once the rescuers have escorted the victim, the villains will have procured the stone and have won without hindrance. The third is the same as the first, where the rescuers might have easily hindered a measly two man group while they escort their victim, the other two villains meanwhile will have procured a stone. Lastly, fourth means that, assuming that the rescuers split as evenly as possible (assuming one having at most three people, given other's inactivity), that any of the two groups of rescuers will be outnumbered by the single villain team, so they can procure the stone from there.

Here comes the concept of the case of common knowledge, meaning the rescuers also know of this, and know of these three possibilities. Amazing how the villains actually have more possibilities of winning this, right? Well, thank the rules for that. Anyway, let's return to the fact that the rescuers are trying to eliminate as much of these villain-favorable possibilities. They only have two choices, to split, or not to split. When the rescuers don't split, there are two favorable outcomes for the villains which are 1 and 3. However, when they do split, the only favorable possibility is 4 for the villains. What does this mean, you may ask? The rescuers should always split.

Remember, the villains also know this. This is what's fun of the case of common knowledge. You all try to outdo your opposing team as long as you possibly can. Now, we know that the rescuers will always split. What does this entail? This means the villains should always stick together, because this becomes possibility number 4, a favorable outcome. However, you may ask, the rescuers also know this, doesn't that mean they should always stick together too?

Alas, that would leave the villains with two favorable outcomes, so that's the last decision folks. That's the best both teams can do; the rescuers splitting, and the villains sticking together. Thanks for going with me on this journey folks, and hope you remember all that!

The students are nowhere to be seen as of now, for they were either in one zone or the other. Some interesting destinations those victims chose, if Yamato does say so himself. They make difficult yet somewhat common disaster areas for the students to fight and search in. There wasn't anything else that they planned to do after this single activity, or at least as much as Ink-Eye has told them, if there really were more. Speaking of, either Ink-Eye never really said what he was gonna do, or Yamato didn't hear of it. Still, Yamato didn't complain, but in fact was glad he got to teach some students so early on in the school year. If not given the chance by Ink-Eye, it would have been a month or two before he was required to even speak to a student through class.

As for the class, it was, frankly, a somewhat immature but promising set of students. There were those that he and a few other teachers guessed would pass with flying colors that managed to get in the highest class of the hero course. There were those students of course that surprised them, whether they weren't on the leader board or barely mentioned by the teachers, these students managed to take a sear in Ink-Eye's class. Admittedly, Yamato has yet to know of their names, preferring to call them all as a general group for now.
