After 18 years of torment at home, Grey, who despises his given Name, went to the French Foreign Legion.
After a fatal mission in which his whole unit was left to die, with him as the only survivor, he left at age 33.
He kept his french identity, but cannot stand that name either.
Since he cannot stand bad leadership, he just roams all over to work as a mercinary. Actually he wanted to join Hydra, but that blew up in his face, literally.
