hello and welcome to my interest check! my name is philip, though if you would like, you can call me pippa or pip. i am twenty - one ( 21 ) years old. i am nonbinary and use they / them pronouns. i am a full - time college student so i might be occasionally absent, but my absences should only last for a few days at most. i don't expect them to be fairly frequent either, as my schedule for this semester is less packed than my last. despite taking the occasional break from roleplaying for a few months at different points in my life, i have been doing so rather seriously for over a decade.
i love creating characters, partaking in literary analysis, and writing my own works. i am a literate, third person writer who tends to write in the present tense. since i have mostly been roleplaying with close friends over the last year, i have an average of around a thousand words per response. however, i am capable of writing more or less. how much i write, as well as the content of a response, is based off the content i am given in what my roleplay partner presents. i do have a habit of mirroring how people write in this way! i like to match length, if not writing a little more for certain sections depending on the circumstance. since it's the kind of roleplay i am most familiar with and get the most enjoyment out of, i am looking for strictly oc / canon roleplays, and i strongly prefer doubling up. this is simply due to the fact that i don't like when someone is simply writing a canon character for me, as i enjoy learning about other people's characters and having the opportunity to write a character for them.
a small warning before you get too deep into reading: my thread is a little long. i tend to talk a lot and i promise i'm much looser and more outwardly friendly while talking ooc! i just want to make sure that i cover all of my bases in this thread. additionally, i also have quite a few fandoms that i would be interested in roleplaying. if none of these things bother you, carry on reading!
concerning roleplay partners and boundaries, i prefer to roleplay with others who are around my age since i am older. i ask that you please be at least 18+. i don't have many triggers or things that i will not roleplay, except for the generalized list of no's that you typically see in roleplay rules, in addition to graphic depictions of anything in relation to needles. mentions of them are fine, but anything more intense freaks me out as i have a pretty severe fear of needles. it may be a little weird, i know, but i promise it's nearly about the only thing i can't do. otherwise, i'm pretty chill! please let me know if you have any triggers or limitations of your own. respect my boundaries and i will respect yours.
concerning responses and reply length, i ask that you also write in the third person and be pretty literate with your responses since i'm a literate writer myself! i can write a lot ( obviously, since you've gotten this far and you're probably going "philip, please stop." ) and i love when my roleplay partners match my reply length and enthusiasm. if i feel that my effort and care isn't being returned, it can kill my desire to continue on with the discussion or roleplay. i would love some long - term roleplays, so if you're looking for a long - term roleplay, you are at the right doorstep . . . or thread.
concerning my activity, i've already made mention of how i am a full - time college student. i am also chronically ill, which can affect my ability to be as active as i would like. i work full - time over the summer when i am out of school, so my in - character response times are a little slower nearly year round. they may come quicker when i find myself less busy or when i'm on breaks from school, but please just keep in mind that roleplay replies can be slow at times. while i can manage same - day responses and a fixed reply schedule, this is ususally only possible for me friday - sunday and i am not the right partner for you if you expect this type of activity each day. i need time to myself to partake in hobbies and interests, as well. generally, i will not rush you for responses and i would appreciate the same treatment. however, if i do not respond to a roleplay or discussion for over two weeks, please feel free to send me a message about it. i have memory issues due to my chronic illnesses, so that can be a driver behind me disappearing randomly!
concerning out - of - character discussions, i thrive off making friends with the people that i roleplay with. i adore doing things such as coming up with headcanons and extensively developing characters, extending to playlists and pinterest boards. while my ic response time can be slow, i am very active ooc as these messages are easier for me to manage on a more daily basis and they help keep me engaged in a roleplay. if you aren't fond of this kind of discussion, i'm likely not the right partner for you.
concerning ghosting, i understand that we may not connect during the discussion / plotting stage and there is no need to notify me of your intention to leave our talk during this early stage. that being said, i am less friendly towards ghosting when a roleplay as been started or we're deeper into a discussion concerning the roleplay. i put a lot of effort into making discussion and roleplay enjoyable for both my partner and i, so leaving me behind during these later stages can be taxing for me. if you happen to lose interest or have something come up in your personal life, please communicate this to me and we can work things out! that being said, if i feel early on that you are only focusing on your half of things, i will likely drop the discussion as i don't exert effort just to receive nothing in return.
concerning fandoms and original characters, i would like to say that i try to make it clear for each fandom how caught up i am, who my love interests are, if i have characters prepared for them, and characters that i'm open to playing for you / your character. it's a 50 / 50 split on if i have character sheets prepared for characters that i do have for love interests. that being said, character sheets are preferred but not required. i'm totally open to making new characters from scratch, as well. just let me know what you'd like to do and what you're comfortable with!
i have lots of fandoms that i'm into currently, though there are ones that i'm currently more interested in than others. love interests who i have a respective character developed for will have a ♥ next to them, while a ★ will mean that i have a character sheet prepared. i haven't listed any fandoms that i'm not currently interested in having any roleplays for, so you don't have to worry about me not having any interest in the fandoms listed below. feel free to ask for multiple roleplays if there is more than one fandom that i'm seeking that you'd be interested in roleplaying, but i ask that we try to keep it between two or three.
for characters that i will play, i list characters that i have played before and know i'm comfortable playing. this doesn't mean i won't play anyone else, though! if there is a character that i will not play, i will state so in the general description beneath the respective fandom.

this is mostly batfamily centric, but i'm more than happy to learn more about other characters! i can do the games, movies, tv shows, or go off the comics themselves. this has been my hyperfixation for the last three years, so i'm always happy to roleplay this. i'm open to playing anyone except for deathstroke (slade wilson).

i got into genshin impact back in november, so i haven't had the chance to roleplay it yet. i've finished the archon quests for mondstat and liyue, and i'm currently playing through the archon quests in inazuma. that being said, i've seen spoilers for the archon quests in other regions so i'm happy to look up things in order to play a specific character.

i've only just started playing honkai: star rail recently, but i'm really in love with it so far and would love to roleplay it so long as you'll be patient with me! i'm just starting the mainline trailblaze mission concerning the xianzhou luofu. i have seen spoilers for future characters and planets, though, so i'm once again happy to look up things in order to play a certain character.

i have been into my hero academia since the anime first came out. i'm not fully caught up with the anime, as i'm halfway through watching season seven, but i have seen all of the spoilers from the manga even if i haven't read it, so i know everything that happens up to the end of the series as a whole. i will play anyone except for endeavor, midnight, all - for - one, and minoru mineta.

i am happy to do plot that is set in the canon universe or AUs. i'm a bit of a hopeless romantic so i am a complete and total sucker for romance, domesticity, and fluff. however, i'm also completely down for angst, drama, hurt / comfort, and darker themes ( within reason ). i love to work out plot and brainstorm ideas through discussion, as i find it really fun to go through different options and work out what works. this being said, i won't usually have fleshed out plot in mind. i may have concepts or ideas in concerns to plot, but i don't start discussions with a developed plot in hand. i ask that we work on developing plotlines together so we both can have our cake and eat it too!
