- his wife, FREYJA LINDHOLM, née SKELLIG, a woman of forty years

- their children:

-PRINS HVITSERK LINDHOLM, their foruth child, a boy of seven years

-PRINSESSA ASTRID LINDHOLM, their fifth and youngest child, a girl of two years

Traditions
Behavior

The Svetlanders' raiding tendencies have earned the fear and contempt of people across the realm. They are a proud, fierce, yet sometimes cruel people, hardened by the harsh climate of their homeland. They are formidable seamen, and their maritime supremacy is almost unmatched. Svetlander women are permitted to fight alongside the men, and may even become a captain of a longship of their own. In addition to being fearsome raiders, Svetlanders have also shown themselves to be successful traders. Exports include furs,

Military

The Svetland military can boast that they are masters of both sea and land. Their longships, small yet fast, enable fighting men to launch devastating raids - often before local troops can muster - on coastal settlements along the western shore of Thenne and as far north as the chills of Hurigelian. Svetland has no professional standing army, but that is not to say its people are poor fighters. Svetlander children, both boys and girls, are customarily given weapons training from a young age, and many young adults are eager to fight in their nation's wars. House Lindholm can raise a total of twenty thousand fighting men and women, and up to five hundred longships.

Speciality

Raiding, Navy, Infantry,

Weaknesses

Svetland has little in the way of cavalry.

History
Originated on the island east of the mainland. Later settled/conquered their portion on the mainland. Will elaborate on this soon.

The Queen might not be exactly what you’d expect. House Thenne has a history of political prowess, they’re known for their careful speech and regal presence, but Queen Melisende is pleasant and personable. Her words don’t lend themselves to someone as intelligent and precise as the queen, they seem rough-cut and natural. She tends to put people at ease in that way. She also, however, doesn’t check her temper like a politician. If she is angry, it will be plainly visible.

Despite her casual exterior though, The Queen is a political mastermind. She knows how to pluck the correct strings and draw what she wants out of people like plucking a grain from a granary. She’d also very enigmatic, in that she doesn’t reveal her plans to anyone. She might give someone a piece of the puzzle, but never the whole picture. Not even to her family.

As for her morals, the only thing Melisende cares about is her house and the longevity of it and it’s members, who she loves deeply.

In-Depth
Background

Melisende didn’t grow up to be Queen, her older sister Merine did. Melisende got all the same exceptional education as Melisende, but none of the training and none of the emotional weight. Unfortunately, Merine was a sickly girl. Within her first week of reign, she fell ill and the stress of the position only made it worse. She died with a fever, and Melisende, shocked and devastated, rose to the throne at only 20. Despite her age, however, she assumed the role with ease, making several improvements to the palace and the way things were set up. She did away with the old advisory team immediately and assembled a new team from the best people she could and even established a large system of spies across the kingdom.

Melisende’s reign hasn’t been an easy one though, she has so many enemies and the distrust for House Thenne runs deep in many people, but she’s done the absolute best that she can with it. Unfortunately, her best may not be good enough. Melisende’s aware of the whispers and plans behind her back, and she knows that strong her army may be, if all of her provinces were to turn against her, Thenne would fall. So she’s decided to do what she always does: break the chain, change something for the better, and she will do anything to keep Thenne strong.

Khalida

  • Name - Khalida Akilah Amari

    Age - 17

Sexuality - Not so much heterosexual so much as just not seeing the point in having a relationship with someone you can't continue your legacy with.

    House - Amari

db397d16953487.562b39093b9ec.png

Personality
Personality

Khalida is rather practical and logic-minded for her age. During the times of the plague, rather than spend the time in fear or grieving as many did, she began working on solutions with everyone from builders to disease specialists. That doesn't mean that she is cold and unfeeling entirely, its just that to her it made no sense to sit about and cry when there was so much work to be done. Khali has a bit of a weak spot for animals, especially helpless ones. Ever since she was a small girl she has kept a menagerie full of injured and sick creature to care for before she released them back out to where the had come from.

Some praise her for her kind heart, but others condemn her for it as the temporary captivity of wild animals, injured or not has lead to trouble on occasion. Khali, of course, doesn't care what anyone thinks about that either way as she has always been willful and stubborn enough to forge her own path in life despite what others say or do. She can be a bit of a stick in the mud due to these qualities but she ultimately understands the need for flexibility even if it has to take several failures to get her to see it. Her perfectionist attitude can lead to general trouble and many agitated glares in her direction, but people must admit that when a plan doesn't actually gets past the preparation point, it tends to execute flawlessly. Khali understands that her youth and inexperience are a disadvantages in court and life but is uncertain of who to put her trust and faith in so that she may confide her fears and worry to someone. She ends up constantly questioning the decisions she makes which in turn brings out her need for perfection.

Traits

Logical, practical, animal-lover, calm/levelheaded, willful, stubborn, perfectionist, uncertain of herself, mistrustful of outsiders

Likes

Animals, nature, music, dance, family, perfectly executed plans

Dislikes

unwelcome/rudely unannounced guests, failed Plans

Habits/Quirks

-Has a weakness for rescuing stray animals no matter where she is.

-When feeling upset/stressed and needs to think to herself, she (sometimes unconsciously) begins traveling to climb a tall structure, be it tree or building.

Skills

-Like most people of her Land, Khali has an extensive knowledge of subtropical plants and animals.

-Is a swift mover, whether it be in dance or battle.

-She is faster in thought than she is in movement.

-Her levelheadedness and calmness in the face of a crisis is one of the things that has kept her alive whether it was facing a swamp monster or ensuring that the rest of her people did not succumb to the plague.

Weaknesses

-Her youth and inexperience is probably her biggest weakness

-She may be quick, but she is a small girl and her physical strength is only enough to climb trees or lift moderately weighted items.

-Due to having to step up into a leadership role almost as soon as the plague hit, Khali has adopted somewhat of a cynical and callous attitude that occasionally gets her into trouble.

-Can be a perfectionist. In order for things to go as planned (and she loves perfectly executed plans) everything must be perfect down to the last detail. This inflexibility can sometimes lead her to trouble.
In-Depth
Background

Khalida led a carefree life up until the day that tragedy befell her family and people. Days spent wandering ad exploring the Swamp Lands and nights spent partying at the festivals, life for Khali was peaceful and fun. She wasn't even third in line to become the new Head of the family so there was not much reason to worry about her future. Also, due to their naturally longer lifespans, her people tended not to even think of marriage until their 20's unlike many of their neighbors. The Swamp Lands are a subtropical climate with an abundance of plant life jutting out of the mud, water, and rocks and an unholy amount of insects to go with them. As a result, the immune systems of a people surrounded by such an environment filled with various diseases and toxins would need to have adapted and grown stronger. On top of this, their extensive knowledge of plant life and said flora's medicinal and poisonous effects as well as their natural longevity as a people should ensure that any disease would be a minor concern right?

Khali just can't wrap her head around it no matter how hard she tries. Her people spoke of a curse or of some kind of evil black magic that caused the plague to spread out upon their land. She herself would like a more practical explanation, but what else could it be? No disease such as the one they faced, the one that had taken her entire family, had ever been seen before. The healers, herbologists, toxicologists, and priests could do nothing more than succumb to it themselves. The only reason that they were saved was because of the quarantine measures that Khali (as the highest ranked person in the Swamp Lands left healthy) was advised to take, effectively sealing off almost a third of her people and all of her remaining family members. A full week after the last person died from the plague, Khali ordered the area to be burned and afterwards scrubbed clean with purifying fires and waters as well as with the healing chemicals and herbs of her people's leading scientists. Since then she has been doing all she could to learn to be an effective leader for her people.

Family

She is the only surviving member of House Amari left living after the deadly plague ravaged the people of the Swamp Lands. There are technically a few distant cousins who reside within lower levels of government, but no one of note.

House Amari

13442189_1111003195629348_5828297982198283218_n.jpg

no slide
Traditions
Behavior

Like the people they rule over, the Amari family is very close to those in their family and shares a close relationship with its citizens. It is not uncommon to see a member of the upperclass mingling on a regular day with those below their station. This is due to the fact that generations ago before the Great War before House Thenne took control of every individual striking their own banner within the soon to be kingdom, the people of the Swamp Lands were sandwiched between the dangerous creatures of the swamp and mountain range of their elven neighbors. They led a somewhat isolationist life, trade was minimal and they often had to survive attacks from pirates and bandits who would come through the western swamps during the winter. When war broke out, they had no one to rely on but themselves so in order to survive the turbulent times. The Amari and all those under them had to band together for camaraderie and survival so there was not much use for heavy rules about status as all were as likely to die as their neighbor without help from them.

Military

The Swamp Land military's strength lies in its knowledge of nature and how to best utilize it to its advantage. More due to tradition that actual belief these days, the members of the military pray to the Panther Goddess Asima to give them the strength to protect their people and lands before every battle. Any attackers must be cautious lest they fall prey to poisonous plants, insect swarms, or camouflaged swamp creatures. Those logs floating in the water, for example, probably aren't logs. Due to their small numbers in comparison to other militaries and a generations long lack of motivation to leave their established territory, battles are rarely fought outside of their homeland. They may not be the most numerous of militaries but they make up for it in creativity, an acute knowledge of medicines and poisons, and home field advantage.

They are weaker, however in battles that lie too far away from their warm and humid home. Sure they may be able to last a day or two, but the farther north a drawn out battle is, the more likely their defeat. Their numbers are probably the fewest among the different militaries of the regions so they have to get creative with attack/defensive strategies, especially during the winter when most of the living things in the swamp die or hibernate.

Specialty

Longevity

The people of the Swamp Lands are known for their tenacity against death. In a time where most humans generally live until their 40's at most, the people of the Swamp Lands will easily live for anywhere from 60-70 years and may even overcome the nastiest of diseases and wounds with enough time and recuperation.

Herbology

Due to its location, a majority of the Swamp Lands is not suitable for most farming practices. It can however produce the greatest variety of plants with the most interesting effects, allowing the people and creatures that call it home to utilize the flora for their own purposes. Be it medicinal or something more harmful.

Weaknesses

The cold

Any temperature below 70 degrees has the people of the Swamp Lands putting on thicker clothing. During the winter months as the chill and frost finds its way south, the people of the area must band together to protect their home. Traders who aren't trading specifically for winter stocks travel back to help the farmers, herbalists, and defenders protect the land. The farmers to the west, towards forests and further away from the rocky lands near the mountains, need help protecting their more tropical crops from the frost. The herbalists need aid in finding which plants to preserve, which seeds to take and carry, and which plants to make use of as soon as possible as many will die within the first few weeks of winter. The defenders and those who can lend a hand must work overtime in defending the country as most of the creatures of the Swamp Lands, who normally are what keep intruders out, are reptilian in nature. A reptile's cold blood requires them to find warm places and become less active in order to conserve energy for warmer times.

History
The earliest of passed down oral histories within the Swamp Lands say that the people there from long ago lived in a constant battle for survival. Be it from bandits, the creatures of the swamp, the insects in the air and ground, or the poisonous plants, danger was all around. They say that a man by the name of Dhamar Amari lead the last of his people deep within the Swamp Lands to escape the violence. It was there where they met with all manner of terrifying creatures when a black panther descended from the skies and guided them to safety. She taught Dhamar and his people the ways of protection and how to live with the land rather than fight against it. In return Dhamar and his people named her Asima, the Protector, and worshiped her and her teachings until the time of the Great War when House Thenne forced the abolishment of their practices. Although it is a difficult thing to eradicate an entire religion and way of life, the Swamp Landers had little choice but to obey because to do otherwise would have meant potential death during those turbulent times. In the present day, legends of Dhamar and Asima have turned more to myth and stories rather than fact and history. If anything, they are simply another set of costumes to dress up as for a festival or bedtime stories for children. There are still a few devout who practice the ancient ways in secret, it is a difficult thing to eradicate an entire religion and way of life after all.

Those of House Amari have always been a more neutral house. During the Great War they sided with House Thenne simply because they proved to be the strongest and the most likely to win the war which meant a better life for those in the Swamp Lands, even if in exchange they could no longer openly practice their devotion to Asima. That neutral attitude is still continued on today. As long as it doesn't affect their region, family, and people, House Amari doesn't have much of a reason to care.

Melisende Thenne - Queen

Traditions

{Behavior}

House Thenne is known most for it’s political and economic prowess. They thrive with any hand dealt to them and milk every bad situation. Thenne is also known for their fickle nature. They are loyal and benevolent if you’re on their good side, but their wrath if you get on their bad side is terrifying.

{Military}

House Thenne’s military is very large and very adaptable. The people in it are from all around section one, and therefore are used to a variety of environments. They also have very very quality equipment. However, the military is not all full-time. The soldiers who come from the capitol, Falhout, are excellently trained and full-time, but when the whole army is assembled, 94% of the fighting men come from surrounding villages.

{Speciality}

Politics and Infantry

{Weaknesses}

The animosity many provinces feel towards Thenne leaves them in a vulnerable position.

History
House Thenne, before the war, was kind of a dark horse. They weren’t known for much and their sigil was a sea bass, but they were always a house fully in control of their kingdom and thriving. When the war came through, the head of the House at the time saw an opportunity and slowly began to win the war. When they did, they changed their sigil to a dragon. Everyone was surprised at House Thenne for rising so quickly, and scared too. Thenne has kept up that fear for 100 years. They have some very loyal and very friendly houses, and some who were on the opposite side during the great war.

Personality

Sehula is the epitome of quiet strength. She doesn’t say much, and never raises her voice, and yet it’s easy to let her scare you with her glares or her quiet, calm insults. She gives off this sense of ease that’s almost… sultry. She moves through rooms like a shark, all slow movements and smooth looks. When you sit across a table from her, her enticing voice and low volume beg you to creep closer to her, maybe to hear each syllable better, or maybe just because there’s something strangely irresistible about her. Even during a physical fight, like a duel, Sehula’s movements are like water and silk and her face is neutral. And she isn’t like this just because she’s Elven, it’s because Sehula is an extremely prideful person, and sees herself above getting upset about anything. To be anything other than otherworldly would lower her. Normal individuals get angry, Sehula gets even.

What you’d never know is that through all those smooth edges and calm exterior is an extremely stubborn woman with fierce convictions and a tough heart lies beneath. She believes that loyalty to the citizens of her land, hard work, and strength in all things makes a great kingdom. Sehula never breaks a promise, and would go to extreme lengths to finish anything she’s started. In this way she’s also extremely diligent. Diligent, probably, to the point of self sacrifice, though it’s never come to that. Only Sehula’s dear friends and closest advisers know she is this intense under her facade, as she doesn’t often plainly speak her mind, and would prefer to speak about outside matters.

Weaknesses

>Lack of a cut-throat attitude towards politics

>Little experience with politics of the outside world or the customs of non-elves

>Self-sacrificing
In-Depth
Background

Sehula was raised on a healthy diet of ancient Elven lore, luxury, and military training. Elves don’t often leave the safety and seclusion of the ancient ancestral elven lands, although many would like to (they never actually end up leaving forever, they just think about it. Leaving is kind of taboo). Sehula’s peers were all incredibly interested in the outside world, but she never was. As a youth all that could occupy her mind was Elven history, What they had, what happened, and what they lost. She dreamt of a huge, strong Elven empire like there used to be, with an army of dragons and spell casters and every soldier wielding Quicksilver swords.

Sehula was never daunted by her role as head of House, in fact she was glad to have to opportunity to serve her province, though the words “province” or “head” meant very little to her. Saria puts on a show for house Thenne: and pays their tithe, swears loyalty, just like everyone else, but inside their city, the Elves have a whole different way of doing things. To Sehula and her people, she will always be “Queen of the Elven Kingdom,” and in fact she was the first Saria to begin using this term again after the Falhout Compact. Thenne does not know that to Sehula’s people she is the “Queen of Elves,” and Sehula would very much like to keep it that way. Other than a title change though, Sehula has implemented many programs to benefit her people. She’s created free education for everyone in her city, a new job program that sets her people to work restoring sections of the once great tunnels that ran under the mountain and building as many Quicksilver blades as they can, and funds scientific and magical research, trying to recover the knowledge that her people lost. The Elves aren’t anywhere near to the strength they had before the war, but Sehula is working wonders for the economy, power, and morale of her people.

Lady Sehula Saria

Traditions
Behavior

The House of Saria is the most isolationist house in the kingdom. They keep their traditions and knowledge close to home, and outsiders are almost never permitted inside their home. Although, House Saria makes it clear that if anyone was to ever fuck with them, they would be crushed. Elves
know how to fight.

Military

The Elven military is known for it’s quality of soldiers, not quantity. The few that they do have, however, are full-time and are put to work constantly keeping a citadel at their borders. The Elven military is broken up into separate tiers of soldiers: Cat, Griffin, Wolf, Bear, Viper, and Manticore.

The Wolf Branch are average infantry units. The Griffin Branch are combat engineers and sappers for sieges. The Cat Branch are light infantry, and scouts. The Bear Branch are shock troopers. The Viper Branch are Military Intelligence and assassins. Finally the Manticore Branch are special forces.

Speciality

Saria specializes in military, magic, and Quicksilver blades. Unlike the name suggests, Quicksilver is a very durable metal, yet when cooled is 3x stronger and more flexible than steel and when it is hot it's more malleable than steel and bronze. The process of creating this metal, however, is known only the the Elves, and is kept very secret, although there are rumors that magic is involved.

Weaknesses

Saria and the Elves are shells of their former selves. They have a small population, a bad economy (though it is improving), and most of their previously held knowledge is all but lost.

History

Before the war, The Elven Kingdom was extremely expansive and powerful. They controlled most of the major mountain range, and had 8 large major cities, all underneath the mountain range. Each city was connected to the rest by huge, grand tunnel-ways that were carved right out of the mountain. There were libraries that held incredible amounts of knowledge in science and magic, where researchers worked day and night to expand the knowledge of the Elves. They also had colleges for all Elves (and some humans) to come and study magic. Trade flourished as the Elves mined into the mountain and traded precious gems and minerals with surrounding kingdoms.

But then the war came. The Elves fought against house Thenne, and they were doing pretty good, until Thenne found a way to redirect rivers and drown the Elven tunnels. Many were completely lost, turned into massive underground lakes. After that, the war went downhill quickly, and they were taken over and left to shrivel and hide in their only remaining city, Lythis. More recently, though, Lady Saria has been making great strides into breathing new life into the dead empire.

Dame Caitriona Callahan-Rowe

  • Name - Dame or Lady Caitriona "Cait" Callahan-Rowe. Although Cait prefers to be called either Cait or Dame Callahan, her legal last name is Rowe, and it is also acceptable to simply call her Lady Callahan or Rowe. In formal documents, she often signs Callahan-Rowe, in order to both honor her late husband and acknowledge that she is also signing with the legal power of a Rowe.

    Age - 23

Sexuality - Heterosexual, but is aggressively opposed to remarrying, despite pressure from House Rowe.

House - Legally, since her husband died, she is again a member of House Rowe, but she still lives in the Callahan fortress and considers her loyalties to lie there.

Personality
Personality

Traits

Cait is quite loyal, which stems from her strong belief in honor and desire to be honorable. She dislikes underhanded dealings and is disgusted by people who plot and backstab. Even though she understands the benefits of it from a tactical standpoint, she believes that it is a short-term solution and that, in the end, you will wind up with no allies to rely on and in a worse place than you started out.

Since the death of her husband, Cait has become even more short-tempered than she was before, snapping at people who cross her. She has also developed an entitled streak, believing that losing the love of her life before they had even begun their lives together is enough tragedy for one person. She is also a bit pessimistic and quite cynical about love, believing that love is always ripped away from you eventually and that it is not worth the eventual heartbreak.

Cait has never been one for inaction or laziness. She is ambitious in her plans for House Callahan and for herself. She believes she owes the House that much, as she blames herself for her husband's death. Although, even before, she was a fireball of energy and was always bounding about in search of the next challenge.

Cait has a strong desire to protect people, which is why she leapt at the chance to become a knight. She believes it is her honor-bound duty to help those who cannot help themselves. Before becoming a knight, she planned to train as a healer in order to do just that.

Much of Cait's personality comes from her need to compensate for her lack of faith. She feels guilty for not believing in what her parents raised her to believe in. She compensates for this by trying to prove, both to them and herself, that you can be a good person without following a religion. However, the cycle of guilt manifesting as anger, causing her to lash out, and creating more guilt, has been something Cait has struggled with since her early teens when she realized she didn't believe.

Cait can be quite judgmental and views any signs of melancholy as a sign of weakness. She thinks sadness is a waste of time and finds herself angry when she sees people cry. Although she believes she gets so angry because of her dislike of weakness, it is actually her anger at herself for never allowing herself to cry or be sad. She is, in fact, likely to sympathize briefly before getting angry. However, people rarely see her sympathize because she angers so quickly.

Cait isn't very booksmart and hated that part of her training as a knight. She isn't fond of reading, but rather prefers to go out and do whatever it is she is trying to learn. She is an excellent experiential learner, though, and after doing something two or three times she is quite confident in her knowledge of it.

Cait is quite athletic and loves the outdoors. If she doesn't get outside the walls often, she gets restless and her temper worsens. She is most clear-headed while out falconing, and in those moments where she is absorbed into the wild, she is almost at peace. However, once she is back inside, the peace quickly wears off and she is back to struggling to keep from snapping at people.

Likes

She loves fresh air and is quite fond of all natural creatures, especially birds.

Wine. She will always choose spiced wine as her beverage of choice over beer or hard liquor. She's not an alcoholic and is careful to avoid getting too drunk, but she loves the diverse flavors of wines.

Mornings. Cait is usually up before most others because she enjoys a brief bit of solace to begin her day. She's also found that it helps her maintain her composure and lash out less when she starts her day peacefully.

Cait loves dancing and she loves great balls. Between the excuse to show off how nimble her training has made her during the dancing, the best wines are reserved for grand festivals.

Dislikes

Being forced to wear a dress to a function. It's not to say she dislikes dresses, but she dislikes people forcing her to wear one thing and not another.

People who pry too much. Most people know the story of how her husband died and she absolutely hates people who ask her questions like "so have you considered remarrying?" or, worse, "so how are you feeling?"

Monotony. After doing the same thing for too long, Cait gets very restless and irritable.

Her full name. While being called Lady Rowe just makes her uncomfortable, being called Caitriona actually irritates her. That was her mother's name, and she feels it is far too formal for her.

Habits/Quirks

When she is struggling with her temper and feels herself getting angry, she rubs her shield tattoo to try and calm herself down.

She refuses, downright refuses, to stay in a room without a window large enough for her falcon to fly in and out comfortably. She will (and has) sleep outside, on the ground, without a tent, rather than stay at an inn without large windows.

Skills

She is a phenomenal falconer, and also can train message birds.

She is very physically strong and excels with the longsword, spear, and longbow.

Weaknesses

She is not very booksmart, so she struggles with things like geography or knowing which house belongs to which crest or what the correct courtly manners are. This is not to say she's dumb, but rather uneducated and quite disinclined to change that.

She is quite sensitive to smells and prone to moderate headaches when exposed to a particularly noxious scent.

She gets seasick quite easily and is not fond of travel via ship, despite coming from a place where sea commerce was their main industry and then moving to marry a sailor.

In-Depth
Background

Cait was born into a happy family and had a happy, normal childhood. She played the way young children do, and was taught by the best tutors her mother could find. When she was younger, she fancied training to become a healer. She began her apprenticeship at 14, but quickly grew frustrated. She wanted to help people, and she wanted to help them then, not in seven years once she was finished training! She quit after the first year. She began her formal training as a page later in life than most and joined up when she was 15. She was a painfully average student when it came to the book learning, causing her to come quite close to quitting before she even made squire, but she knew she couldn't quit again. She also quite liked the physical training, and the premise of eventually becoming a knight.

She passed her written squire exams by a very slim margin, but she passed them nonetheless. She made an excellent squire, which was the part of her training devoted to combat, and, to her surprise, the care and use of horses and falcons. She got along with the horses well enough, but she found she took quite naturally to falconry. She skipped her more boring book lessons to spend extra time in the aviary. She made few friends during this time, because while most squires would spar together in their spare time, she would ride out and practice with her bird, Wisdom.

At 20, Cait became an official knight and moved back home. That same year, Wisdom died in an accident. Her father, as a show of his love, procured a Ferringuous hawk for her, which she named Nessa. While bonding with Nessa, Cait preferred to spend time at the ports, rather than the forests where most falconers train, so Nessa could strengthen her wings on the ocean breezes. Her father, knowing very little of birds simply asked for the largest bird he could procure and purchased Nessa from a very shady dealer. She arrived malnourished and weak. While Cait was practicing near the ports, she met all kinds of kinds, including an exceptional amount of sailors.

It was there that Cait met her husband, Bryon. He was captaining a trading ship that had docked recently, but he had to stay for a while due to unexpected repairs. In a cheesy, romantic, too-good-to-be-true scene, he first saw Cait as Nessa was landing on her gloved arm. Nessa's wings were outstretched, nearly as wide as Cait was tall, and for a moment, everything was perfect. But Nessa was still clumsy and crashed into Cait, knocking her back.

It was a moment they would laugh about two years later as Nessa came crashing into their bedroom through their oversized window Cait had begged Bryon for. They married a year and a half into their relationship, most of which was spent with Bryon at sea and Cait still living with the Rowes, fending off bandits and doing other meager work for her family. Afterwards, Cait moved to live with the Callahans, and Bryon never sailed outside his province again.

Although Finbar was supposed to be the heir to the Callahan title, he was sickly and wanted nothing to do with it. That meant Bryon was the heir apparent, so he and Cait took over many of the duties involved in running a province. Bryon handled the books and logistics, while Cait handled the people, answering petitions and patrolling the lands. Bryon's parents appreciated the much-needed reprieve and gladly handed the responsibilities over.

One of Cait's main jobs was managing the pirate population. Their lands included a few islands, which meant the main roads were actually well-charted paths through the ocean. Much like bandits would prey on the roads on the mainland, pirates would attack ships delivering supplies to the towns out there. On a particularly dangerous raid, she brought Bryon along, hoping his naval experience would turn the tide. He died during that raid, and his body was never found. Cait saw his corpse fall into the water and couldn't do anything about it. She still has nightmares about it to this day.

It has been almost a year since the death of her husband and Cait still isn't quite right. She struggles to manage the Callahan lands alone, and her relationship with her in-laws is straining under the pressure. Although she has no legal claim to the Callahan title, she is still acting as the wife of the heir. Partly out of grief, no one has stopped her. She is being sent as the representative of the Callahans to this summit, while they quietly gather around Sabine, supporting her claim to the title. Cait doesn't desire the title or the power that comes with it, but she wants to keep living her life as closely as possible to how it would be if Bryon had lived.

Family

Her birth family, the Rowes, she is quite close with. Her mother, Lady Caitriona Rowe, wanted her to become a healer because she didn't want her daughter to be in harm's way as a knight, but has since come around to support her. Her father, Lord Edmund Rowe, is still not in favor of the idea but loves his daughter anyway. She has one older sibling, her brother Marlin, and a slightly younger sister Meredith. Her in-laws respect and love her a great deal, but her relationship with them has been strained as her temper has worsened. Lord Bentley Callahan is her father in law, Lady Teagan Callahan is her mother in law, and her late husband's name was Captain Bryon Callahan. He came from a large family, with an older brother, Finbar, an older sister, Sabine, and two younger twin sisters, Bridget and Corinn. Her maternal grandmother, Eula Bradley, is still alive and is not legally considered nobility despite living with her daughter in the Rowe castle. Her mother came from a wealthy trading family and brought a large dowry, which allowed her to marry up into the ranks of nobility.

Lord Bentley, Lady Teagan- Ruling Couple

Finbar- Eldest son, ailing, unmarried after his arranged engagement fell through due to his illness

Sabine- Eldest daughter, legal heir, unmarried and gay.

Bryon-Middle son, deceased, married to Cait

Corinn- oldest twin daughter, too young to marry but is in an arranged engagement

Bridget- youngest twin daughter, unmarried and unattached

Traditions
Behavior

The Callahans are a friendly house who rely on naval trade for their economy. In their lands, those who aren't sailors are fishermen, and those who aren't either are usually at least married to one. They own the Callahan Trading company, which has made them quite wealthy. They will do whatever they can to turn a profit, and although they benefit from friendly relations, with their neighbors, they are ruthless against their competition. They are fairly benevolent lords, taking the petitions and concerns of the smallfolk seriously. They see their smallfolk as both their employees and their charges, which they are obligated to protect. Most families have at least one member directly employed by the noble family in the lands the Callahans control.

Military

They have a rather small formal military, consisting of perhaps 100 knights and their squires. However, the security workers for Callahan Trading function as a peacekeeping militia, hunting down bandits, pirates, and threats to the profitability of the company. Scared employees aren't very good workers, so they do their best to keep the lands safe. However, in the event of a civil war, the Callahans would have to hope they could pay enough people to participate in their army.

Speciality

They are a people of commerce and will learn whatever is necessary to increase profits. They primarily specialize in sea trade with other provinces. Their strong trees make for strong boats, so they can travel wherever the money is.

Weaknesses

Their near obsessive desire to turn a profit has blinded them to many outside conflicts and tensions that did not directly impact their profits, leaving them under-prepared for this summit.

History
The Callahans were not always the lords of this land. In fact, before the war, they were ridiculed by the ruling family, the Teyrns, as "bourgeoisie," simply materialistic wannabe nobles. However, the war crippled the Teyrns terribly, and due to poor military strategists, six months into the war over half the family was dead and their military was destroyed. The Callahans saw this opportunity and struck a deal with the Thennes: in exchange for the lands and titles of the Teyrns, they would donate a sizable amount of weapons and arms to the Thenne forces and hire mercenaries to finish the Teyrn army. They rose as the new lords of the lands, and have remained in power since.

Personality: August is known for gracing the world with his soothingly confident demeanor and trustworthy eyes. His valiant behavior is nothing more than an act. Everything he does is calculated to put him in the best possible light, to make everything seem heavenly. In truth, August is not the hero everyone adores. Years spent in battle combined with a broken childhood have hardened the man. Personality

PERSONALITY

Like the rest of his family, Atticus is rather charismatic and poised, very specific with his words and always thinking before he speaks. He holds a confident, self-assured aura that often allows those around him to feel like they can trust him. He generally stays warm and relaxed to help others feel comfortable and at ease around him.

Atticus has a quick, imaginative, and strategic mind, often trying to rationalize the world around him. Even when he is emotional, he attempts to reason through why he felt that way. His logical nature enhances his problem-solving and critical thinking, allowing him to plan courses of action for all possible scenarios. Because of his analytical mind, he can be rather judgmental and critical of others, using his strict logic to make conclusions about them. However, he is careful not to expose his true thoughts, always keeping up his amiable image.

Furthermore, Atticus can be quite manipulative, as finding others' weaknesses comes naturally to him. Much of what he says and does has ulterior motives, usually meant to benefit himself and his House. This quality further feeds into their Family's habit of cutting alliances as soon as another province stops being beneficial to them. However, he has learned to carefully hide this scheming side of him in order to retain his charismatic appearance.

Independent and decisive, Atticus refuses to rely on anyone but himself and is willing to take full responsibility for his actions. However, in stressful situations, he may be rash in his decisions, naturally following his intuition instead of his logical thinking. While under extreme pressure, he often loses his usual charm in favor of lashing out, sometimes revealing his manipulative side.

TRAITS

Charismatic, logical, judgmental, manipulative, decisive

LIKES

Painting/art, nature, the sunset/sunrise, solitary walks at night, honing his swordsmanship, deep conversations

DISLIKES

Naivety, laziness, narrow-mindedness, people with no appreciation for the arts

HABITS

Painting, stargazing, being in nature, and taking walks at night calm him down when he is stressed.

SKILLS

Charismatic- His confident and relaxed aura naturally makes him appear to be a likable and trustworthy person.

Manipulative- He is able to find others' weaknesses and use them to his advantage.

Swordsmanship- He is skilled at wielding his sword and fighting on different terrain.

Water magic- As a part of the Royal Family, he has been taught the gift of water manipulation ever since he was a child (see House info).

WEAKNESSES

Easily stressed- He is not the best at working under pressure, sometimes revealing his true manipulative nature.

Lustful- He enjoys seducing and hooking up with beautiful women.

Inexperienced- Although he was made the Heir to the Throne four years ago, this is not long in comparison to the other rulers and heirs.

His younger sister- His little sister is the center of his world and he would be willing to do anything to protect her.

Biography

BACKGROUND

Prince Atticus grew up in the Melazine Royal Family along with his younger sister, Ava, and older brother, Adam. His mother, the Queen, died giving birth to his sister, so he does not remember much about her, but the memories that he does have are filled with warmth and love. As soon as his brother was old enough to walk, their father, the King, began training him to one day rule the land. Adam was treated as the Heir to the Throne for as long as they could remember.

Because Adam was given the majority of the royal responsibilities, Atticus and his sister were often free to do whatever they liked. The only obligation they had was to learn the gift of water magic, but he thoroughly enjoyed attempting to master this art. Atticus usually spent his free time practicing water magic and training in his swordsmanship. When he reached his later adolescence, he would often make trips to the tavern in search for beautiful women to seduce.

This continued for the first twenty years of his life until his older brother fell dangerously ill. They sought out all the healers and doctors across the province, even going to other Houses for help, but no one could cure his sickness. Adam eventually passed away, and Atticus was naturally made the next Heir to the Throne.

His lifestyle changed drastically after Adam's death. Besides mourning his older brother's death, he had to make up for the last twenty years of his life in royal responsibilities and political matters. However, it seemed like Adam's death triggered something in the King, as he began blaming Ava for the Queen's death many years ago. Both Atticus and Ava were shocked to see this side of their father, with Atticus becoming even more protective over his sister as a result.

Combined with the King's immense pressure on him to fill his brother's shoes, Atticus and his father fought often, especially whenever their mother's death was mentioned. This created a very strained family environment. Regardless, he is still determined to make the Meluzines the most powerful House across all the provinces and break free from the Thenne's control.

FAMILY

King Audric Meluzine | Father | 47

Audric is a firm, charismatic, and fair ruler. Although he is dedicated in preparing Atticus to one day rule the land, they have a very strained relationship.

Princess Avalon Meluzine | Younger Sister | 20

After the death of their older brother and their father's resulting accusatory comments, Atticus is extremely protective over Avalon. She is the apple of his eye and he is willing to do anything to keep her safe.

T R A D I T I O N S

BEHAVIOR

The Meluzine House is known for their flourishing economy due to their abundance of ports and maritime trade as well as their formidable naval force. Because they are able to easily travel to other provinces through their seaports, the Meluzines have come in contact with may of the other Houses. Upon first meeting, they are quite a charismatic, poised House. Able to show off their power while also achieving the perfect balance between arrogance and meekness, they are often successful in convincing other provinces into an alliance with them.

However, they have a history of continuing alliances for only as long as the benefits continue. As soon as another province stops proving their use, the Meluzines will often cut the relationship. However, do not mistake this for betrayal, as this is simply politics for them. They will treat their alliance partners with respect and loyalty, always holding up their own end of the deal, so long as the other province returns the favor.

MILITARY

The Meluzine's powerful naval force is perhaps one of the largest across the entire land. Because three of their four borders adjoin with the sea, they excel in maritime defense and warfare, able to successfully defend their borders with their formidable warships. Their remaining land border is carefully protected with their fierce, trained infantry.

SPECIALTIES

Trade, Naval force, Ship-building, Water magic (Royal Family only; see History)

WEAKNESSES

Their infantry is smaller and somewhat weaker than most of the other provinces, given the large size of their naval force.

Because they cut off alliances as soon as the province stops proving its worth, some of the other Houses hold a grudge against the Meluzines.

Their ability in water magic has interested some of the other Houses with ulterior motives.

H I S T O R Y

The Royal Family of the Meluzines has a long line of water warlocks and witches, those with the gift of water manipulation. Ancient masters were capable of powerful feats such as creating tidal waves and summoning whirlpools, drowning many of their enemies. This ability was very carefully excluded to the Royal Family only.

However, much of the knowledge behind this gift has been lost throughout the ages as the power was passed from generation to generation. Especially during the war, much of their focus was on the war rather than teaching this gift. Nowadays, the Royal Family is only able to manipulate this power in moderation. Abilities include launching streams of water/water bubbles, shooting icicles, making ice shields, and freezing small parts of the ground. Those with this gift also hold some healing properties, but only small injuries such as cuts and bruises.

Furthermore, before the war, their naval force was one of the largest and most powerful across all the provinces. Their flourishing economy was at its peek and their alliances succeeded with them. However, after the Thenne House savaged the provinces and conquered the entire land, the Meluzines felt the full brunt of their force, just as the other Houses did. They suffered a huge amount of losses, especially because of their weaker infantry, and it took many long, hard years for them to rebuild their military.

Even now, they have not yet fully returned to their former glory, mainly because of their new obligations to the Thenne House under the Fallhout Compact. As a result, the Meluzines despise this Compact as well as the Thenne province, but they are careful to retain their complacent, charismatic appearance on the outside.

RELATIONSHIPS

To be added when houses have been accepted.

Traditions

Behavior

Intimidating and arrogant house Aerith is a brutal house where they are centered around military and economic importance. Children learn to shoot bows from horseback when they are only four years old. Respect force, and thus only respect those who are able to successfully resist them, while conquered slaves deserve only contempt. They are usually dismissive of other houses infantries.

In this society women have far more freedoms than in others. women ride horseback, fighting in battles, Still, while women are highly valued participants in society, they still held less rank than their fathers, husbands and brothers.

They have a steady economy with the trade of island goods, slaves, and also their desired horses. They treat their alliance and business partners with respect. It is custom for them to give tribute by offering Gold, horses, etc as a sign of loyalty.

A tradition the house does is that every 50 years or so. They release all the slaves they have captured and return money to citizens. This is called the novo comezo or new beginning.

Military

Though their infantry isn't vast, they are will known foe being the lightest warrior. They pioneered the use of feigned flight, surprise attacks, hostage taking, psychological warfare and human shields.traditionally fight with swords and also employ bolas, daggers, and whips, or huge, recurved bows with impressive range and striking power that can be fired from horseback.A common belief is that many Aerith warriors would simply have gone to battle wearing their everyday attire. This meant in effect their everyday clothing of a felt and fur hat, a deel, boots and a heavy fur or animal hide coat would have provided all their battle protection. , considering speed and freedom of movement to be more important in battle.also horses wearing full lamellar armoured suits.

Also known as screamers due to their fierce war cries as they charge into battle and raids.Aerith are rigoursly trained. To sharpen their fighting skills and get meat for a huge feast, the has an annual great hunt called a
gorugen in which thousands of horsemen encircled all the game in a large area and closed in. Each man was allotted only one arrow; failure to kill an animal was met with ridicule.

They took few prisoners and made few distinctions between combatants and noncombatants. The killing was often done in a very methodical way. The victims were not tortured they were killed as swiftly as possible. Soldiers are given quotas for the numbers of people they were are expected to kill. In military campaigns, captured civilians, thousands of them, were put to use as human shields.

Aerith are so proficient at plundering cities, terrorizing populations, killing soldiers and civilians and seizing territory. They massacred hundreds of thousands if not millions, and created pyramids of skulls of their victims. the Aerith cry "feed the horses" is a signal to rape, murder and plunder the defenseless population.

Speciality

Horse breeding, Archery, Infantry, Horseback, Gold mining.

Weaknesses

Moderate Navy, small army and cavalry, isolated on islands.

    Age 19

    Sexuality Wealth

    House Hurigelian

Personality
Personality

A mix of life as what is essentially a hostage and her Hurigelian upbringing has made Tarsi rather reserved. She takes her time to make sure she says what she means but it would be foolish to mistake this for slowness, the same way it would be to say a stalking cat wasn’t running. She’s also not used to the weirdly progressive views of outsiders and finds their lack of modesty rather off putting. Not that she’d let them know. The shawl she’s draped in near constantly is as much to hide her body as it is to make sure it’s never clear what her hands are doing. Her voice is soft, inviting in a cool sort of way though you could equally say it is dispassionate. The turtle embroidered on her back shows loyal to her house or at least to extravagance.

She knows her languages well; you sort of have to pick them up when where you live changes so drastically after one kidnapping. She knows how to keep her emotions in check as well and often hidden.

There’s usually a harp somewhere under her robes and occasionally she’ll pull it out to make quite a pretty sound, prettier than she can speak at least.

Likes

She prefers the fancier things, and takes pleasure in what isolation or privacy she can. Her love of art extends beyond just the elaborate though. She's some enjoyment for the wilds, where she can think and there's no one to force herself to talk to.

Dislikes

The affairs of others are either dull or annoying. She’s also repulsed by violence in most forms. Being far from her home she dislikes travel and her talent for languages doesn’t extend to enthusiasm for them. She learnt to speak mostly to complain more coherently and to ensure she’s be obeyed.

Habits/Quirks

She collects things, trinkets mostly, small ones, often other peoples and without permission.

Weaknesses

No stomach for violence.

No support from her house.

Uncomfortable with the more ‘obscene’ lifestyle of these foreign folk.

She's easy to distract or bother with small things.

Doesn't talk about home.

In-Depth
Background

She doesn’t remember the Gouged Grounds much, there’s her night at The Last Lighthouse that she still dreams about sometimes. Where her Father was defeated and she was taken to live with those awful people. Since she was six they raised her, in her gilded cage resenting but relying all the same. Her distain was well hidden, enough that she’s set up to marry their heir. Her name while not worth much in terms of power is a lifelong mining contract after all.

The house that captured her were the Onsadryanne, midland military types. She spent some time in their forests. But most of her life after they kidnapped her was spend on the road. Traveling between front line camps and the halls of which ever noble families the Onsadryanne were fighting for at the moment. She learnt to play the harp as a way to keep her mind off all the moving and the chaos going on around her.

She spent most of her time with the heir to the Onsadryanne heir, Lerronix. They were set up to be friends as their mutual guardian wanted the two to marry when Tarsi came of age.

They grew apart as Lerronix's military training changed him and Tarsi entered the disillusioned teenager phase.

Family

Her grandfather is the king of Go No Further though he lacks power. Her father died the night she was kidnapped and her brother has barely done anything to get her back. All in all they aren’t much to write home about, or to.

She was raised by Bregh the Brutal after being kidnapped and is betrothed to their son Lerronix.

Members

Azalori Hurigelian- Current King, an old man (88) weak after the death of his only son, barely even there really any more mentally.

Red Fang Hurigelian (Deceased)- Their last hope at any military dominance, died defending The Last Lighthouse along with the Hurigelian presence outside of their capital.

Princess Tarsidraxi (Tarsi 19) Hurigelian – Daughter of Red Fang and Granddaughter of Azalori, currently ‘adopted’ by the house that defeated her father in his last battle. Engaged to someone she doesn’t care for.

Prince Scain Hurigelian- Tarsi’s younger (14) brother. He would be in charge at Go No Further if he wanted to, but he’s largely useless, busy being some sort of wandering vagrant but with a vault worth of money to waste.

Traditions
Behaviour

They don’t interact much with the outside world, preferring to stay in a very defensible position with sufficient resources to feed their small population but not to support expansion. With the king in his current state they’re barely remembered by most folk out of the endless ice wastes as the Hurigelian name has little weight.

Military

There really isn’t one to speak of anymore, they once had a small precision team, the terror of any settlement too out of the way to be defended by a full house and too fast for any army to catch. Until they tried to capture and hold The Last Lighthouse. Trying to stay put got Red Fang killed and his 6-year-old daughter captured.

Not that a military has been needed much, Go No Further is surrounded by such a hostile environment that attacking is nearly impossible, any army big enough to make a dent in the walls is going to be far too big to feed and keep warm when trekking across the ice. That’s why they’ve historically had small teams of precision fighters or the occasional merchant.

Speciality

Arts and Sciences, specifically construction.

Weaknesses

They’ve no army or presence in the outside world really, and the same harsh conditions that defend them confine them.

History

The city of Go No Further was founded by merchants and artisans fleeing north centuries ago looking for a mythical warm beyond the cold. Most didn’t make it and the cold never stopped, but respite was found in the hot springs and subterranean cave networks. Sharp minds carved into the earth and build ways to move water not seen anywhere else in the world, irrigation from hot springs and cleaver use of dams and lochs cleared and fertilised ground of everlasting ice. It’s not much but enough to sustain the city behind impressive walls, though there built much more to prevent an attack from the elements than any army.

The city has wealth it can’t spend mostly in works of art and engineering. Many secrets were stolen when the founders fled their homes and many more have been uncovered.

Those that know of Go No Further and that don’t think it would have failed centuries ago, know of it mainly for the pilgrimage. They say that the best of art and science will try and make the trek north, believing their wits and work can carrying them to the city and will be worthy of passage in. The rules are simple, take one and leave one. They’ll occasionally make deals for mining rights or technology, the Hurigelians can’t mine very effectively but they can regulate access to the hot springs that would be vital to any large scale activity this far north.

13 years ago an ill-advised attempt to capture and hold southern (read pretty much anywhere) territory lead by Prince Red Fang Hurigelian, lead to the battle of the Last Lighthouse. The end result was the loss of most of the Hurigelian forces (barely any to begin with) and the death of Red Fang. His 6 year old daughter ended up kidnapped by the victors and spends her life now as a ward, to prepare for the inevitable marriage to someone. The Death of Red Fang lead to his father’s slow decline mentally and physical (already 75 at the time) and the only remaining Hurigelian prince Scain (who would have inherited before Tarsi regardless of not quite being 1 at the time) was in no position to rule leaving the possibility of a King Regent open. Now Scain is mostly out doing everything and everyone but ruling. The Hurigelians have never launched a mission outside their walls since, including any attempts to reclaim their princess.

* Salt from their massive saltpans to the southwest

* Wool from their many sheep

Baharaian Traditions

* Head(s) of House are not allowed to leave Baharian Lands

* Firstborn sons
and daughters are eligible for Head of House

* Women are just as eligible as men in Baharian society, if not more

* Despite Thenne's best effort, Baharian's have kept their spiritualistic beliefs. The noble advisor to the Bahar H.O.H. is almost always the society's Spiritaur

* At the age of seven, boys and girls begin training in the art of war. At seventeen each citizen will compete in a rigorous course that will test everything they've learned since childhood. Some have been known to die, but it's better to die than to lose. Complete public shaming is what's in store for the loser, and until they spend their two weeks alone with the Spirits and the Spirituar, the shaming will not go away. Noble citizens have much more to lose. If they lose then they forfeit their right to H.O.H. and in turn, forces the next heir to compete.

Behavior

Baharian's are known for their "barbarism." Over a hundred years ago Bahar was flourishing in almost every aspect of life, and they were very sagacious people despite their barbaric attitudes. They relish the pursuit of knowledge and they relish the perfection of mind, body, and soul. They are known to be sly, opportunistic, and willing to do whatever for their cause.

Military

Bahar's actual military is rather small, but they make up for it in the fact that every citizen knows their way around a sword and bow. The military is run by the noble family (of course) but the noble advisor, (a man or woman including their family) are second in command. They have a great cavalry and are known as some of the best mounted archers.

Speciality

* Their militaristic hive-minded views. The citizens and nobles are one. Baharian's have always had close relations to the noble family, but a bond was struck after the noble family of the era led them through the drought. Despite the suffering and the losses of life, the noble family kept their people alive, hopeful, and inspired.

Weaknesses

* Fragile water (and food) supply

* Lack of expansion within their own lands. The lack of the water supply has also sapped their power.

H i s t o r y

Bahar History

A hundred years ago, when the kingdoms were at war, Bahar performed and defended themselves excellently against Thenne. Until a massive drought plagued their homeland. It lasted for years, and many died of dehydration, starvation, and heat exhaustion. Thus the Baharian's gave in to Thenne's subjugation.

Over the past century, each generation has further adapted to their semi-arid climate. What once was green pastures are now rolling sand dunes, and their great cities hewn into the mountains lie empty. With very little water to provide life, the Baharian's are now a nomadic people, venturing to and fro a select few settlements that surround oases throughout the year. Their population is ever growing and that worries the noble family, unsure with every consecutive year that they might not be able to sustain their people.

Feuds & ETC will be added once selections have been made & we all start brainstorming.

- A schemer and solicitor, he prides himself on knowing what others don't. Like to air your dirty laundry in public? Might want to rethink that in this one's company, since he'll exploit that opportunity no matter how small its significance.

- Malrik's pale, wind-burnt face shows all the emotions of a slithering snake. Speaking in soft tones, he can seem apprehensive and skittish as if he is on trial. Some might mistake this for dishonesty, but those who know him best accept the fact that running the realm's largest spy network requires a bit of...discretion. Not that it stops him from sharing juicy gossip with those privy to such information.

- His loyalty to the realm remains strong. To say he admires Queen Melisende is an understatement; he lives to please her as any faithful servant would do and will go great lengths in protecting the throne.

- He will joke with you and "shoot the shit" in his own queer way. For example, he may bring up an embarrassing tidbit about someone's personal life that no one ought to know.

In-Depth
Background

Malrik comes from an older yet impoverished line of noblemen from the western marches of Thenne. Their status has since dwindled, and their lands sold or married away as family members died off through the years. Now there are only a handful of Vavyndils (Vav-in-dill) walking around, including his niece Cora, who he adores almost as much as Melisende.

His initial calling to court stemmed from a need to gain favor with the royalty, attempting to restore the Vavyndils to their former glory (if anyone could even remember). But eventually he gave that up to take on a higher purpose. At the age of 35, he was appointed Master of Whisperers in the new regime under Queen Melisende. She elevated him to the post after her sister's untimely passing, and for the past 23 years has used his web of spies to increase the security of House Thenne. With a strong Hand in Lord Gabriel, their combined efforts ushered in a period of relative peace throughout the realm.

However, the "little birds" are telling a different song these days. Tales of dissent, back room deals, oath breaking and militarization sweep every region. There have even been attempts on the queen's life. Fortunately, Malrik thwarted these would-be assassins before their plans came to fruition, but the man grows older and his mind is not as sharp as it once was.

Desh Kalanihara (NPC) - Son and presumptive heir to the house.

--- (NPC) - Son

--- (NPC) - Son

Amala Kalanihara (PC) - Eldest child and daughter.

Dharjun the Reader (NPC) - Red priest of Ramaji.

Traditions
Behavior

Rooted in centuries-old traditions and religious principles, the Kalanihara are warlike yet temperate in a sense of familial responsibility. They pray before Ramaji, also known as the Burning Man three times each day, facing the direction of the sun (or on overcast days, before a shrine).

Religion -

The number three is a sacred symbol and encompasses all manner of things: three meals a day, three states of daylight, etc. During festivals and holy days, the ruling clan's banner, sword, and helm are carried by three champions.

The Red Priests of Ramaji are the largest sect, worshipping their god in temples throughout the land. It is from them which the Three Pillars of religious law were recorded. The Three Pillars are:

1. Give unto kin sustenance and kindling, so he may build a fire.

2. Walk the Path with warmth in mind and body.

3. Embrace the flames of His domain and spread the light.

Violating religious law will invoke Ramaji's wrath. There are varying punishments executed by the ruling clan as well.

Prayers typically involve speaking in tongues either alone or along with others, forming soft vocal inflections. These are amplified in volume among large crowds or before battle. If there is no daylight, a flame must burn from a source nearby so Ramaji can bear witness.

Society -

The family structure is patriarchal, and their agnatic-cognatic succession laws provide that women can only inherit when all male heirs have died/are not of age. However, in the "Old Way" anyone could make a claim after the death of the Majarana, a practice which died out at the close of the Great War. The Kalanihara frown upon female warriors and their presence on battlefields is not commonplace.

Clan members are forbidden to marry outside of Pavarta lands, and those of particularly high rank are expected to be betrothed to equally important suitors.

Only clansmen take surnames, that being the name of their clan. For this reason, the smallfolk often apply aliases/nicknames to differentiate themselves. An example would be Dharjun the Reader, who is not to be confused with Dharjun "Darkfire".

The leader of the ruling clan is known as "Majarana" and his wife "Majarani". A king of kings, or Majaraya, is prophesied by the Red Priests in the temples of Ramaji. This is met with chagrin from neighboring nations, believing the Kalanihara seek to make war on them.

Military

- There are two types of fighting men: the Hajanari and their spearmen auxiliaries. The Hajanari are named after the steel swords they use and are exclusively clan members, exhibiting equal bravery and skill to most knights. All smallfolk join as levies and are poorly equipped in comparison.

- Hajanari receive a combat penalty when fighting in rain. Their armor retains water and weighs down the wearer, making them slower/fatigue more quickly.

- Their weapons and armor adopt a conservative approach. Instead of thick longswords, broad-headed axes and the like, the Kalanihara rely on metallurgy where smaller quantities of iron are folded over a dozen times. This is a tiring process, but results in a highly effective cutting edge.

- Plate armor just isn't possible for these people, so they rely on lamellar iron pieces connected with mail, rivets and silk cords.

- When engaging the enemy, the Kalanihara do not carry shields and form a looser battle line than most armies. In essence, they sacrifice protection and discipline for mobility and individual prowess.

- Construction consists primarily of wooden holdfasts and keeps. The larger settlements employ the use of rarer and more colorful lumber materials to fashion grandiose palaces, but overall this makes siege warfare a huge disadvantage.

Speciality

Hajarva - "Jewel Steel" made from iron sand. Iron sand is a naturally occurring resource which can be found along the beaches as far as the Meluzine coastline.

Cultivation - Horticulture, tillage and animal husbandry have been mastered after many years of toiling in this rich biome.

Weaknesses

- Lack of mineral deposits as there are few mountains or other rock formations. Specifically, they lack iron ore and stone.

- Vulnerable to invasion despite utilizing the landscape for their defenses.

- Scholarship and learning are reserved for the temples of Ramaji, which are a notorious bastion of traditionalist thinking.

History
If the Red Priests are to be believed, the Kalanihara descend from an ancient line dating back thousands of years to the first settlers of Pavarta. The foundation story goes something like this: Bhavarta the Bright was visited by the great god Ramaji, who gifted him with wood and said, "Make this burn." Bhavarta had seen it before but knew not its origin. At first he laid the wood in the baking sun, believing that its rays would catch on, but the wood only grew warm. "Make this burn," Ramaji repeated. The man tried rubbing two branches together. Then a second time, a third..again and again, yet with each attempt he failed anew.

Three days and three nights passed without change. On the fourth day he was poised to quit this folly when finally the wood began to smoke. It was then he realized what had happened and pushed on until the wood dust lit afire.

"Now gather what you have learned. Give unto kin sustenance and kindling so he may build a fire," Ramaji said at last as His humanly form burned away into thin air. Thus came one of the Three Pillars of religious law.

As the years passed, Bhavarta went from hovel to hovel and from hamlet to hamlet, spreading the gift of his god. The people were so impressed they confided in Bhavarta as their chief, each meager community pledging to his growing chiefdom. He built the first Red Temple in what would become the capital city of Ramajarta.

The lands flourished with many villages and towns springing up, each with its own ruling clan. Several several centuries passed with periods of internal squabbling between clans, and even a few wars, but these paled in comparison to the Great War which occurred a hundred years ago. The great kings clashed in open fields, across raging rivers and mountains, and wherever a man could go, death followed in his wake. The Kalanihara were infamously known in the conflict as having set ablaze an entire forest in the Battle of Hearthwood Forest, decimating half their own force in the process. Seeing no recourse, Queen Lanara signed an instrument of surrender and declared for the Thennes. Her own clansmen and Hajanari felt dishonored by this act, and she soon fell in disfavor within her own lands. She was later assassinated by members of her personal guard.

Several years following her death, the ruling Majarana altered the succession laws and reducing the likelihood of another female regent. Some objected but most agreed that the fire in a woman's body and mind took on a different hue. While the Kalanihara wouldn't outright deny a woman's birthright, they certainly didn't want another Queen Lanara first in line.

The people still resent the Fallholt Convention, and with the latest group of vocal red priests, insurrection is likely.

- You know how females are supposed to like flowers and songs, yet leave swords and fighting to the men? Yea, that's not the case with Amala. She finds gardens and training yards equal enticing and spars regularly with an instructor, much to the irritation of her fellow Hajanari.

- She has a chip on her shoulder regarding her younger brother Desh, who she does not get along with at all. She believes he's mean spirited as he constantly mocks her like so many of the Hajanari. To make matters worse, he is set to inherit the Chiefdom of Pavarta.

- Amala takes prayer seriously, following all the customs set by the Red Priests. For instance, she may paint three red streaks on her forehead on holy days and dedicate time whittling wooden figurines for children. She even participates in the Walk of Fire over beds of hot coals.

- A sweet creature and naive concerning the horrors of the world, she believes everything is black and white, earth and fire. She has yet to step on a battlefield and live the chaos, and little does she know that evil men triumph more often than not.

- While Amala keeps a cool head during sparring practice, she is nervous in personal situations involving men. She knows she will be required to marry and bear children, welcoming this into her heart. Still, that anxiousness clearly shows.

In-Depth
Background

Amala is the eldest child of the Majarana and whose three brothers are all either training to be or have been inducted into the Hajanari. She grew up alongside her siblings wanting the same - to prove her worth through trial by fire. She begged her father to teach her the Fire Dance technique, appearing in the practice yard almost every day.

Initially he would not bend and sent the young girl back to take lute lessons, but eventually he tasked the city's master at arms with tutoring her. Amala's brother Desh would laugh and mock and jest as he always did; when he sparred with Amala he'd intentionally harm her and laugh the more for it. She'd leave the yard with welts the size of pomegranates, bloody small clothes underneath and a limp fit for a lame dog. The others saw his wickedness, but no one dared correct the boy as he was heir to the chiefdom. Even her lord father pitied her not since "the yard was meant for hard men", and if she did not see the error in her ways, perhaps these scars would convince her otherwise.

However, she was as unwavering in her training as she was in her praying. When she was nineteen, the Kalanihara agreed to allow her into the Hajanari. She served under a different unit than Desh and after only a few short months, she had gained the respect of her fellow warriors if not their admiration.

Holsts are hardy people, who value resourcefulness. They appear very proud in front of other people, but have a past of using cowardice to preserve power. Despite their outward behavior of “pride,” Holsts have no problem leeching off another’s power and prestige to increase their own. They are also very full of themselves, and lean towards isolationism because anyone who isn’t them are considered lesser.

Military

House Holst doesn’t really have a military, other than a small town guard who keeps the peace inside the main city. They don’t really have need of a military because the surrounding lands are hard to navigate, and most southern armies wouldn’t stand a week in the harsh conditions.

Speciality

Thriftiness

Weaknesses

History
Before the war, house Holst was small and mostly left alone, but they always had the strength and protection that the cold Northern environment gave them from the southerners who would have a hard time not freezing to death on the approach. When the war came, though, Holst didn’t fight. Whether it was because they could predict the way the war was swinging or they were just cowards, they dropped their weapons in front of Thenne before they needed to lift them. But a nearby sister house, Haaglen, fought to the bitter end. Haaglen was a great house. Respected internationally, and known for their abundance of magic-wielders who incorporated magic into the public’s everyday lives for convenience (like using a spell to create an everlasting streetlamp), some of which still exists today. Haaglen fought well, they took out a major chunk of Thenne’s troops too, and never gave up, but they still lost. Thenne had to kill practically every citizen in Haaglen’s nation, and Holst had to sit and watch Thenne troops being launched from their cities as those very same Thenne troops went to destroy Holst’s ancestral brothers.

As a reward for their peaceful surrender, Holst house was given charge over all of house Haaglen’s territory in the Falhout compact. They are fairly successful, many of their province live in and scrounge off the half-destroyed, but still impressive, Haaglen cities.

To fellow Baharians, Ramy is always kind and respectful, keeping his tone low and his words light. He loves his people dearly, and cares about each and everyone of them. He often goes out of his way to learn about the people he serves for his religious duty, and greets all Baharians like they were old friends. And since he is the religious leader, he tries to act with honor, strength and humility, or at least he tries to appear to act with honor, strength and humility. To the actual Bahar family, he acts with the love you would give to a family member, especially to Ayanna. To Ayanna, Ramy is like a second father. And he loves her as a father, too . . . and maybe in other ways he doesn’t really realize. His only desires are to protect her and give her the power he believes she deserves.

As for the rest of the world, he couldn’t give a damn. To Ramy, if you aren’t a Baharian, you are either a threat or a tool. He is succinct and candid and if you get closer than 5 feet to
his Ayanna without her permission, prepare to die. No matter who you are, he doesn’t feel the need to give respect to anyone he isn’t sworn to, and he doesn’t often even open his mouth to others.

In-Depth
Background

Ramy grew up with a very poor family, Baharians who had no career and just lived off the generosity of their goat and the Bahar family. Ramy wasn’t ever a really religious child, he believed in the tradition religion of the Baharians, but he didn’t consider himself devout. At the age of twelve, many young children of the province volunteer to become an Ithuar: a sort of monk-warrior, they hold the course every Baharian takes at seventeen. Ithuars guide the public in spiritual endeavors, bless Spirits of places or people for special occasions, aid the Spirituar, and devote their life to the augmentation and perfection of the Baharian Spirit that embodies the whole of Baharian society. Basically, they are like religious civil servants. Ramy swore an oath to the Ithuars at twelve and joined their ranks, not because he was especially passionate about their way of life, but because he knew that would be best for his family. He ended up loving the Ithuar life though, and he experienced a dramatic change in his personal beliefs as he was trained. Until he was seventeen, Ramy lived with the monks and spent most of his time learning and perfecting his body, mind, and Spirit. The only thing he didn’t like was that he wasn’t able to see his family. Ithuars-in-training never get to see their familes, and even after they become full Ithuars, family visitation is discouraged, and many never reunite with their original families, but the Ithuars become their own large family, and treat each other thus. At seventeen, Ramy passed the trial that made him a full-blown Ithuar that many other trainees failed.

As Ithuar, it is always a possibility that you might be selected, with a handful of others, to shadow and be trained by the Spirituar, to succeed him when he dies. Ramy was one of the lucky few chosen to be trained and to live with the Spirituar (and subsequently live near the members of house Bahar). For three years he, and four other students, shadowed the Spirituar. Life as the shadow of the second most important man to the Baharians was competitive and austere, but Ramy was treated almost like family by the members of house Bahar, he saw some of them often, including an eight-year-old Aya, who Ramy immediately took a liking to, and an even younger Ariya, who showed an interest in theology and learning. He was also very close to the Spirtuar at the time, who was much like a father to him. He died when Ramy was twenty years of age, but he had no time to mourn. The next step in his path to becoming Spirituar was a specialized set of tests, highly public and exposed, made to test a shadow’s mind, body, and soul. First, the shadows took a test of knowledge. It included a writing test and several recitations, one shadow failed that test. The second was a test of body. Ramy and his peers were forced to leave the shelter of the Horde and venture into the wasteland in search of an animal who posed a mortal threat to them, then kill it and bring back the cured meat of your kill. This was a very hard task for two reasons: there are very little animals big enough or venomous enough to kill anyone in such a wasteland and 2. It takes so long to find such an animal, you might die before you can even find one. Ramy brought back a poisonous snake, nearly twice his size. Two people never came back, likely they got lost or the died of dehydration or the animal they found killed them. The final test was a test of mental stamina, which is believed to be an indicator of how pure and powerful your Spirit is. Ramy and the last remaining shadow were displayed in the center of camp, in the stocks. In front of them lay a cup of water and a plate of fresh fruit, which were both refreshed as they became unclean or unfit to eat. He sat in the stocks for three days until his last remaining peer broke his fast. Then Ramy, in a gesture to demonstrate his faith and strength of Spirit, stayed another two days in the stocks without food or water. The Ithuars finally pulled him out when he was no longer strong enough to resist their help.

Since then, he has served his people excellently, leading the Ithuars with strength and innovation. He grew closer to Aya, serving as a pastoral and paternal figure to her. He knows she will be a great leader someday, and is utterly devoted to her, especially since she has started this renovation project. One of the places her (and the Ithuar, at Ramy’s command) have been renovating was an old Baharian temple and college. Back before the Great War, Ithuars lived and trained there, and now with Aya and Ramy’s leadership, they’ve begun to again. It’s her Industrious and intelligent nature that draws him to her and he’s grown to love her over the fiveteen years he’s served her family. As for his awareness of his love, he cannot see it being more than a paternal feeling, which it is.

In public: Zane appears Strong and cold. He maintains a image after all and that image is of power, ability and piss off with your non sense type. Zane doesn't care for bull & will speak his mind though don't expect him to hang himself while doing so, he knows after all how the game is played.

In private: Zane is though still strict and of his own methods, has a softer side that cares for his people's well being and those close to him. He is both intelligent and cunning, but mostly combines his wit with his dedication to achieve his goals. Planning to build the north in his vision and learn from history to avoid mistakes that could unravel and destroy everything for his house and people.

Overall: Zane is a daring and intelligent man with a mind for war and tactics, growing skill in politics and the ambition to make his mark on the world and rewrite history or better suited to write history this day going forward in order to make clear his houses image. Where some see them as cowardly and leaching, house Holst sees the biding of time and knowing when & how to strike.

In-Depth
Background

Growing up in house Holst as the potential heir and future leader of the northern lands, Zane grew up both comfortable and used to the way of house Holst. He learned of politics and tactics, looking to history and knowing it like a book recently read. Zane was taught how to lead, how to observe and read people for vocal responses are not the only sign a foe can give..... Look to their body for its own telling language will reveal plenty. In short Zane was groomed to succeed his parents as the next lord of house Holst and now in recent years that grooming was nearing its time, in the past year Zane had succeeded his parents as the new lord of house. While not having the greatest amount experience nor the army to have proof of his ability to lead, Zane has none the less risen to high rank of Lord Holst the head of his house and latest heir to ascend to power in the north. While he may have inner turmoil over his own ambitions and keeping power while looking to his past and regretting some decisions made long before he was born. Though understanding and agreeing of history and his houses past decisions he ultimately looks to change certain perceptions of his house, proving biding of time wins out and power is strong in those who wait for the right time. But doesn't mean weakness and cowardice is the correct perception of house Holst.

Over time though preferable to sooner rather then later, Zane may yet prove himself as a capable heir and leader of the north. Perhaps one day he'll make his mark on history and achieve his goals.......

    House - Thenne

Personality
Personality

Despite the nature and standing of his family, Ethan is rather unconcerned with politics and ambitious plots. He is content with his comfortable lifestyle as the 3rd born son and is uninterested in the burden, corruption and responsibility of power. However Ethan can be rather paranoid at times about being the target of other nobles' plots due to his standing in the realm. He keeps a watchful eye on his drink, is slow to trust others, will sometimes be overly alert and nervous when outside the castle or at a feast and tries to remain armed at all times.

Ethan is considered by most as a kind, charismatic, and fun loving man. He is generally friendly, straightforward and honest with people as long as you return the favor. He would rather be conversing, sparring, or drinking with his close companions rather than the seriousness of court, having to listen to arrogant and egotistical nobles debate on local policies, events, fashions, etc. while secretly trying to maneuver ahead one another. He has a soft spot for the commoners whom don't have the same privileges and does care about their well being. He would rather not be responsible as the king for their suffering if he were to fail in that position he believes is ill trained for.

Ethan is highly intrigued, possibly even obsessed with the romanticism of war and the glory it brings. However, he acknowledges the necessity of tactics and strategy. His main proficiencies are in logistics, the ability which he is able to calculate and accurately estimate the amount of men and supplies necessary for a campaign and the best paths to march the army, supply them and fight is needed, as well as utilizing terrain for strategic advantage, trying to isolate and destroy separate portions of the enemy and cut of their supply routs, set ambushes from the forest, and occupy strategic assets such as hills to fortify and roads for supplies. Though it is expected to fight an open field battle where both forces charge and fight honorably, Ethan prefers the use of ambushes to slowly whittle down the enemy and their supplies rather than waste the lives of his soldiers, even if it isn't seen as honorable combat. "Honor is merely a self limitation. You can die with your honor. I prefer to live with triumph" Despite his skills and talents in warfare however, Ethan has limited real combat experience outside tournaments, sparring, duels, managing local garrisons and small scale local conflicts.

Traits

Dislikes

Political sceming

People obsessed and blinded by power

Habits/Quirks

Constant pacing when nervous

Strokes his beard constantly while in deep thought

Often fiddling with the pommel of his sword when bored

Skills

- Able to make intricate and efficient tactical plans

- Calm and level headed in most circumstances

- Charismatic and Well received by most

- Good swordsman and bowman

Weaknesses

-Slow in decision making. Would rather take time taking all factors into account before acting.

-Makes Rash decisions under immense pressure

-Not politically minded or skilled

-Has seen little combat outside tournaments, sparring, and minor local conflicts
In-Depth
Background Ethan is the 3rd born child and 2nd son of the queen. Though at a lower status than his siblings, Ethan doesn't necessarily care in gaining higher status and is rather content with not having the focus of his family and the realm on him. Nor does he want his decisions to drastically effect all the people in the realm.

Family

Queen Melisande Thenne (Mother): He is rather distant to his mother, more so than his older siblings at least, though he still cares for her of course. This has changed somewhat significantly after his brother renounced his title of heir. The Queen will often lecture him to his dismay about the importance of management and trade, to appear with the presence of power and confidence, the establishment of alliances and importance of acquiring knowledge of friends and foes alike as the royal family. He does not share her political focus and can sometimes be the target of her anger at council meetings(When he actually attends them) due to his idleness and lack of concern outside the army for the most part.

Alexander Thenne (Eldest Child and former heir): Ethan looked up to and admired his brother. While he wasn't perfect, he was best suited to be the heir. He was kind and caring, yet just and decisive when necessary. He was the one who would often some conflicts through compromise when possible, especially when Ethan and his sister, Helena would get in an arguments often in their youth. His brother's decision to join the faith angered Ethan. Firstly due to his perception of the Gods, whom if they do exist, are cruel beings or simply don't care about humanity's plight. Secondly, his brother's actions also made the possibility of Ethan becoming heir stronger, which Ethan doesn't think he's suitable for, nor does he want the burden that comes with the throne.

Helena Thenne (2nd child and Current heir): Though he is generally in his sister's good graces, he feels like she would not make a great Queen due to her violent and aggressive nature. That was supposed to be the duty of his elder brother who was trained to be king. Yet, he'd rather her to rule than himself for the most part.

Here's my draft for an older Thenne sibling for Ethan

Helena Green Thenne

  • Name Helena but she prefers to go by Mercury

    Age 23

Sexuality Doesn’t matter who, long as she’s dominant

    House - Self-Explanatory

Personality
Personality

People remember Mercury she leaves a metallic burning taste in their mouths. A sort of disembowelled desiccated feeling. She’s aggressive and assertive with a voice that sounds like how her rapier would talk. She demands the respect of her house and with go as far as she can to assure it is given. She acts like she’s oblivious to facial expressions and can’t hear inflection in the voices of others.

She’s driven, to the point of obsession, the amount of times she was injured learning to duel would have put saner people off. But not Mercury. When not training she reads up on history and politics with a photographic memory for the information she has to hand but to her the motivations of the people involved are mysterious.

Traits

Cold

Determined

Ruthless

Violent

Authoritarian

Likes

Winning

People obeying her

Her family (Mostly)

History and Myth

Military talk

Dislikes

Losing

Being called princess

Two faced people/ people who don’t say what they mean

being treated like she’d fragile.

Habits/Quirks

She’ll talk under her breath to herself and will occasionally scratch at her stump if she doesn’t think anyone else was watching.

Skills

She’s trained in fencing; she fights left handed with a blade attached her right foot/ shoe for use a throat cutter or parrying dagger. This also makes her an excellent dancer. Her memory for history makes her a scholar when it comes to tactics and strategy though she struggles in situations where violence is more hidden.

Weaknesses

She’s socially impaired, unable to read people properly oblivious to their lies and her persuasion ability is limited to pointing out how she’d win if it came to violence. A lot of social systems are mysterious to her. She knows how to take a beating but also breaks easily and doesn’t have use of as many limbs as most people. Her health has also been variable at best.

down
In-Depth
Background

Second child and only daughter of the Queen, Mercury was born frail and sick, to be kept safe and protected. But that wasn’t what she wanted, she grew up on stories of the great heroes of the past and they inspired her, attaching to her big brother as a way to get closer to training eventually he agreed to help her practice. He went easy on her at first but had to relax his restraints as she got better faster than he had expected.

Mercury didn’t see eye to eye with her mother much, Mercury saw the Queen as treating her and by extension the house like babies who couldn’t fight their own battles. To Mercury the compact wasn’t the right move for the side that was winning and she knew people laughed at her family behind their backs.

Middle children don’t usually get the most attention, they aren’t inheriting anything and they’re no longer the most adorable. Unless of course their older brother decided to convert to a very old religion and live a life of quiet reflection and poverty. Mercury denies any involvement with her big brother’s decision, vehemently.

For now she spends her time trying to get herself heard in military matters and working on plans with her families army. Though there’s not much to do in peaceful times.

Family

Her Mother is the Queen

Her Elder Brother renounced his titles to live as a devout member of the Feather and Frost Faith.

Her younger brother Ethan, he’s one of the few people she smiles at and she’ll defend him against anyone. She considers him an equal in a lot of ways, but also that he’s a little young. She made sure to help him learn to duel and they frequently train with each other.

The princess at first glance is full of womanly charms, unlike the rest of the family members of house Thenne, this young child is gullible since the day she was born, easy to double-cross & manipulate. Despite her repulsive background she lives up to her name as the third daughter of the king. The Princess is known to be pleasant and elegant choosing her words carefully not only her words but her actions . For most in the house of Thenne it is simple to hide emotions, yet the princess seems to have no authority over her emotions, she will not ignore her feelings wether sad or happy. Tolerant is the young lady a trait she carries all the time, most admire her for how well she deals with communication. Talking to people has never been a problem free spirited & eager to meet new people, her innocence has granted her many friends & allies. The young princess is very vulnerable, and won't know a friend from a foe if it hit right in the face most just want to run up and protect her from harms way.

When infuriated even the demons run for cover, yet this part of Khaleesi has been concealed from the eyes of people hidden behind all the smiles would never show itself unless truly something appalling had occurred, it would take a miracle for the young princess to be angered for most of the time she's gullible and won't know what your sly comments are referring to, Khaleesi doesn't take well to sarcasm ether taking every word to heart. Khaleesi will not stop until she makes you pay, no matter who you may be. Do not be mislead she may be sweet but Thenne blood runs through her veins. Khaleesi trusts very easily this will surely be her down fall. Nevertheless she cares dearly for the house of Thenne and the people who surround her.

I guess you could say Khaleesi was a big error that should have never happened. Not many now of how Khaleesi came to be , the king was very secretive about this topic. Khaleesi's mother Arya was not of house Thenne, to be frank to one knew who she was where she came from or even how she looked like. The king himself forbid that her name never be spoken ever again. Brought into the house of Thenne by the order of the King , she was given the name Khaleesi the king whom had picked the name him self. Growing up Khaleesi's beauty blossomed, she was beautiful no doubt. Her nannies gossip about how she looks nothing like the king and that her features all resemble her mother. Being treated like an child that holds the title 'bastard' will be treated . To sum it up servants would take advantage taking her meals , Khaleesi didn't mind , even if they gave her the food the girl wouldn't eat much. All she eat or should I say drank was water they brought doctors in but to no avail. The king gave up on trying to 'heal' her and just closed the case the conclusion she was cursed. Khaleesi spent most of her time with scholars , they all were kind to her its because of them she began eating , the king rewarded the scholar handsomely but of course he had to ask the reason Khaleesi would not eat . The answer was shocking as one of the servants had told her " A bastard does not deserve to eat because they are a sin , but because i am generous you may drink this cup of water ." no one had herd from that servant ever again . She wasn't treated much differently after that but it helped to have scholars as friends. Khaleesi as we know wasn't treated very 'well' being called a bastard her whole life and also a 'traitor' when she helped a slave that was one day away from execution . Why she still is alive today is still a mystery, her conclusion of it all was the kings kindness he who had pitted her. Growing up next to religious men such as scholars Khaleesi took her religion & traditions very seriously she prayed every day, going to the shrine located in the gardens of the palace . spending most of her time with servants(children) and scholars who introduced her to many new things. It helped her memorize most of the houses .

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_08/tumblr_nzfppbNtc61snskiwo1_250.gif.0459514a1d8924da59151c95cbdbd845.gif" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="149398" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_08/tumblr_nzfppbNtc61snskiwo1_250.gif.0459514a1d8924da59151c95cbdbd845.gif" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Time flew quickly the coronation of her sister than after came her death . At the age of 10 her dearest sister Merine died just shortly after her reign , that day Khaleesi cried her eyes until there was no more tears to spare she never truly knew their of her sisters yet they both carried the name of Thenne as did she. Melisende her 2nd sister came to rule at the age of 20 , she truly was a strong ruler that lifted house of Thenne's head . Khaleesi has always wondered when her sister would ever get married wouldn't she need a king to aid her ?

Family

> Queen Melisende ( 2nd Sister )

Growing up Khaleesi hasn't seen much of her sister , they never usually communicated mostly because she's queen and has many duties to attend to . Khaleesi has always admired the people around her one of them being the Queen she was so strong mentally , at times Khaleesi would try to learn from her sister from the shadows of course .

> Former Queen Merine ( Eldest Sister )

Since the day she was born she was trained to become queen , yet how did it all like this , at times I would sit around wondering if her death was actually planed and it wasn't just some flu . She was elegant yet very brutal . Like silent death .
