A brief introduction first. This is intended to be the first act of a long term roleplay that might take months. See link here. I have an idea of a crew including my chatacter(s) going through a bigger plot. This is but the first part. It would be confusing to have a school roleplay going on with another in the same thread, so I decided to split it into acts, also so those interested in continuing this can do so while I press on with the rest.



I may also decide in the future with tying up this school RP with my bigger one.

Character Creation Guide




I’ll help you through your character creation to make things easier. Don’t be afraid to ask in the OOC area if you’re confused about something.


I suggest posting a blank CS while editing it. Also, treat this as a character progression journal in case your character develops over the course of the RP.



Before filling up your CS. Imagine your character first. What race is your character? In Essidor, there are a number of races from which you could choose from including Elves (and the subspecies of Elves), humans, half animal half human races like kitsune etc., gnomes, halflings, ogres, giants, dwarves, and anything you may think of. If you choose a country not marked on the map, you are given free rein over the history, geography and status of that country of yours. Otherwise, Damasceane could be your home. Once that’s over, according to your race’s culture, create a name, and behavior, and fill up the rest of the minor details, then move on to the others.



If you want to be a student, delete the “Teacher’s Profile” part. If you want to be a teacher, do the same with the “Student’s Profile”.





For Students




If you want to be a student, you’ll be starting at year 1, and graduating at year 6, and may wish to RP more in a future thread I’ll make, or become a junior teacher. However, if you want to be a sophomore or otherwise an older student that is perfectly okay. In the end I just need the squads and staff filled up. The characters you have will not all be in the same squad.


At year 3, every student will choose a school to specialize in, so for now just put in “General Education”. List of schools follow is as follows:



School of Military Magic, School of Magic Engineering, School of the Arcane, School of Medicinal Magic, School of Psychic Magic, and School of Artistic Magic.



While the starting age is 17 for the high school in this world, advanced students aged 15+ will be accepted. As the story progresses, your character may advance a year, in which case would have to change your year. Curriculum will consist of three major subjects, namely History, Arcane Studies, and Combat Training (not counting the ones that are taught by non-playable teachers), a club you may wish to form with other members, and elective subjects. **If you have already made your class list, you may wish to keep them, but there needs to be the three aforementioned subjects. Each year you will take at least one elective. You are free to create whatever that is, but I may make a list in the future.



Your squad will be formed as more characters join. Your mentor will be assigned to your squad.





For Staff




Specialization is the school in the university you graduated in, and a specific topic you may wish to create. E.g. “School of Military Magic: Thermic Spells” “School of the Arcane: Knowledge-Acquisition Magic”


The schools available are: School of Military Magic, School of Magic Engineering, School of the Arcane, School of Medicinal Magic, School of Psychic Magic, and School of Artistic Magic.



Classes are the ones you teach. So far there are three wherein you can select: Arcane studies, Combat, and History.



Roles include: Nurse, teacher, and mentor. Only put what applies to your character.



Squads managed consists of the Squads you are a mentor of. Do not fill this up yet.

• Country of Origin: Sudlich, a desert city-state that has three ruling families, one of which Celine hails from. The culture is a mish-mash of Ancient Roman culture ideology and classical Japanese cultural identity. Women and men alike wear yukata kimono-type outfits, as living in a desert requires loose-fitting, unlined clothing. As such, it became a fashion statement, and took off. Otherwise, Sudlich is prized for it's ability to make something out of nothing, using advanced aqueducts and plumbing techniques to keep the flow of water in and out from the desert oasis clean and easy, and have managed to irrigate a good portion of desert for feeding themselves, only at a basic level. Because of this, and the desert adding natural protect, it was able to survive for a very, very long time, and become modern with the rest of the world. It runs in an Oligarchic system, with three royal families constantly combating each other for control of the legislative parliament branch of government, which is what gets the real work done. The three ruling families are: Sudlich, for which the state is named, the family of which is in control of the aqueduct systems. Leibra, which is the family associated with the famous Church of Leibra, a prophet with who the Sudlich family traveled to found the state. The family of Leibra is in charge of the religious and cultural aspects of the city. Finally, and most recently, the family of Kone sprung up when the city began to advance during the Second Renaisance, using advanced techniques to help put Sudlich back on the map in the modern world, and earning the family a place at the royal banquet table. The population of Sudlich is mostly Elven, with some human and some of the other races making up a very thriving other-cultural district in the eastern city.

Appearance


Celine is short and thin, but very muscular for her size, relating to the whole, looks-can-be-deceiving ideology. Standing at a whopping five feet, two inches tall and weighing a might ninety-three pounds, Celine never made anyone quake in her boots the first time they saw her, but she can certainly outmatch expectations one she steps into the ring, because she's a pit bull. She wears a brown hooded cloak and pretty pink petticoat, which are actually frowned upon in her hometown, but she wears when she's away from home because they're more practical and comfortable. When required to dress up, she dawns a yukata-kimono, white as snow with light pink cherry blossoms dotting the bottom portions of the cloth, with a bright pink center wrap. Her bright red hair and deep green eyes make her stand out, and perfect her cutesy look, and nearly boyish good looks. She can effectively cross-dress, too.



Background


You'd probably think growing up in a royal family is pretty good. And you'd be both right and wrong. Growing up in a royal family has its comforts, like never being hungry and getting whatever it was you wanted at the expense of taxpayers. However, in a competitive system of heirs and competing for parliamentary favor, Celine was expected to be a prodigy. But when she was showing signs of being more a fighter than a speak, she was shipped off to this academy to try and bring her back into political line. Also, unannounced to Celine, they're grooming her for an arranged marriage, which will be sprung on her the moment she graduates. Hooray for royal politics in the modern day!



Personality


Celine is a bit intense, and rightfully so, since she's been competing for her royal name since day one. As such, she greatly despises politics, and will shrug off anyone who tries asking her about the system in her very foreign form of government. Despite this aversion to the discussion of politics, she is actually very interested in the subject, and enjoys studying advanced political theory and technology. She can be nice, however, but it usually takes some adjustment time before she'll give much of anyone the light of day before shutting them down and choosing to pursue her own ends. Due to her upbringing, she has a problem with both trusting other people, who might have their own agendas, and feeling any kind of empathy or compassion.



Skills

An advanced knowledge of the political system and how to work people for your own ends leads you to being a shrewd deal-maker and heartless bureaucrat. Congratulations! Adds abilities to speaking, bartering, and leadership.

Personality


Ross Jennings, a serious individual with a terrible case of embitterment. He seems friendly, or at the very least agreeable. He’s a very talkative individual, though he absolutely detests smalltalk. He prefers deep conversations that can span anywhere from five minutes to three hours. You don’t even have to agree with him to get him talking, in fact, disagreeing with him makes it even worse, as the only thing he likes more than a good conversation is a heated debate, as long as he’s winning of course. Jennings is a bit of a sore loser. When it comes to winning, some describe him as obsessed, crazed even, but he prefers to think that he’s just “particularly determined”. However, despite all of this, Ross has a softer side. If you manage to get him talking about something besides war and politics for long enough, you might actually get him to start trying to tell jokes, or even asking for your view on an opinion. Or even less likely, you might see him smile for once.



Jennings has a habit of drifting off into space in the rare event that he’s not preoccupied with something, and he likes to daydream about… things. Let’s leave it at that. He certainly didn’t write it in his journal or anything. What kind of loser keeps a journal anyway? Not Jennings of course. Hey, what’s that face for? But enough of that nonsense. Jennings likes to see himself as a leader figure. He’s not a charismatic as can be, but he can come up with fantastic plans, and yell just loud enough for people to pay attention to him. So when the opportunity presents itself, Ross takes it, and goes forth to victory, or a rather honorable defeat. Don’t take Ross’ ramblings too seriously though, if you can befriend him, he’ll be there for you in more ways than one. No seriously, it’s actually rather scary how he tries to help his friends. He almost burned down a forest for a girl named Jenny. They aren’t friends anymore.

Ross isn’t exactly a marathon runner, but all those hours spent running, jogging, and eventually limping through town has given him the ability to be fleet footed when the need arises.



That’s not supposed to bend that way!


Thanks to what can be either described as a genetic defect, or robust genes, Ross’ ligaments are extremely lax, allowing his joints to contort at some frightening angles.



Onward to victory!


When Ross is in one of his more persuasive moods, he goes forth to lead his team, or at the very least, yell at them and stamp his feet until he gets their attention.



When the pin is pulled, Mr. Grenade is not our friend.


Thanks to a few specific legal clauses, Ross has been able to manufacture and test various firebombs in his spare time. This has given him the ability to understand how and why things go boom.

• Country of Origin: Edelhut, a mountainous country located in Calina. The region was home to many principalities but were eventually united under a charismatic Wyrmsblut king. The population is primarily Wyrmsblut, although many humans still reside there. It is a heavily militarized nation that has been kept in check through treaties and foreign intervention. The country is run by a constitutional monarchy, although as of late the current chancellor and her party has been pushing for reforms that would completely remove the monarchy from the equation. Society is heavily stratified and the nobility are distinguished by lineages of knights. Most people immediately associate Edelhut with its notorious Dragoon Corps. Comprised primarily of Wyrmblut, the Dragoon Corps have replaced aircraft as Edelhut's option for aerial superiority. Dragoons wear specialized equipment that allows them to function essentially as aircraft and use magic to reinforce their bodies against the extreme g-forces and heavy weapon loads. Edelhut allied with Damasceane during its various wars with Onesh, primarily due to a one-sided rivalry with Damasceane's former nation. While Edelhut still holds Damasceane in high regards they are still distrustful of the city-state for their attempts to emulate their Dragoon Corps through solely magic.

Appearance


As far as height goes, Reiner is average among Edelhutans. His messy red hair is usually makes him stand out in crowds. Wyrmbluts can be distinguished from humans by their rough scales, horns, sharp teeth, vestigial wings. and tails. Reiner's horns are little more than small black spikes that are hidden in his hair as a result of his youth. His scales are a deep black and can be most easily seen on his cheeks and the bridge of his nose. His toothy grins tend to scare or intimidate people much to his chagrin. For convenience, Reiner will often stuff his tail into his pants and wrap it around one of his legs. He'll also wrap bandages over his tiny wings in order to wear clothing. Reiner will often wear his grandfather's old fatigues out of respect and a lack of fashion sense. When feeling particularly proud or at a formal event he'll wear his grandfather's medal of honor.






Background


Reiner is from Edelhut's most prestigious Dragoon lineages, the Marquardt family. Unfortunately, he was born a bastard and was seen with derision by most of his family. His own father regarded him as little more than a wistful reminder of an affair for the most part. Eventually, this came to a head after a certain incident involving one of his half-siblings. Reiner was disowned and would have likely starved in the streets were it not for his grandfather taking it upon himself to raise him. His grandfather was known as the [Red Baron of Edelhut], the most notorious Dragoon in Edelhut's long history of conflict. The young man soon began to train as a Dragoon in order to follow in his infamous grandfather's footsteps and decided to enroll at Damasceane Integrated University in order to broaden his knowledge and make a name for himself.


Personality


This Wyrmblut is highly prideful of his status as the Red Baron's favored grandson and always strives to improve himself. His grandfather constantly told (oftentimes embellished) stories of how he met his deceased wife which caused the young Reiner to turn into a hopelessly idealistic romantic. The Wyrmblut can get highly emotional over the sappiest of dramas. Among friends, he can be very playful and generally acts smug. He's very persistent whether it comes to getting high marks in a class or simply making friends. More than anything, Reiner loves the feeling of soaring through the air. It's common to find him gazing out at the blue skies outside a window during class.



Skills


Heightened Perception


Dragoons engage in high-speed combat at high altitudes alongside other Dragoons who are coloring the sky with explosive ordnance and tracer rounds. Although he hasn't been in a live combat situation, Reiner's training under his grandfather and his own use of magic to reinforce his vision give him heightened spatial and situation awareness under dire circumstances.


G-Monster


Years of training under the Red Baron has caused Reiner to gain a resistance against the extreme g-forces that a Dragoon sustains during high-speed maneuvers. In particular, he has a greater control over his leg muscles and has mastered essential breathing techniques and has begun to slowly apply magic to this skill.



Bushwhacker


What made the Red Baron so deadly in the air was not his superior skills as a Dragoon but rather his pragmatic approach to combat. As his successor, Reiner also follows the same un-knightly combat doctrine. He'll stay in an enemy's blind spot and take cheap shots - anything it takes to win.






Marksman


Reiner prefers using firearms rather than closing distances with a blade. He's learned how to dampen the recoil of weapons using magic and has shown some limited skill on foot, although he's far more skilled while flying.


Mountain Dweller


Edelhut is known for mountains that touch the clouds and many of the nobility live in grand estates carved into the crags. When he wasn't training, the young Wyrmblut explored the region outside his grandfather's region. As a result, Reiner is accustomed to low oxygen environments, cold weather, and climbing.

Appearance


Kuro traditionally wears his hair tied back in a half ponytail, leaving plenty of hair to fall down just a bit past his shoulders. Other than the traditional school uniform, Kuro is always seen with a purple sash around his neck. For his family, that sash was always worn by the head of the tribe. Kuro has rather sharp teeth, and his nails are really black claws capable of extending a few inches to be used as weapons. Other than cat ears and tail, he looks human by all other accounts.



Background


Gatomen are a notoriously nomadic tribe of people. A few are known to settle down, but more often than not they are constantly wandering the world on the same trails upon which they have done so for centuries. That is, until the New Fracture happened. Kuro's particular tribe of Gatomen were entertainers, like gypsies, or a wandering circus of sorts. Kuro had developed illusion magic through self instruction, and used such illusions to amaze all those who watched. He simply had a knack for it. His childhood was quite happy with his family.



But all good things eventually come to an end...



One day during their travels, a rift opened up over them. They were slaughtered before they even realized what was going on. Kuro, by pure instinct, had concealed himself with an illusion, but he did not possess enough ability at the time to create enough of an illusion to hide the rest of his family. He was forced to watch as they were slaughtered without mercy...



When he came of age, he applied for DIU, in the hopes that he could become strong enough to stop the rifts and slaughter those responsible for wiping out his family...



Personality


Kuroneko generally seems to be just a quiet person. However, should anyone actually get to know him, he is quite friendly, even if he is incredibly slow to trust others. Once his trust is earned, he can be quite extroverted and fun-loving.



Skills


Illusion Magic V


Don't blink. Oh well, regardless if you do or don't, you'll still be left wondering how it just happened. Kuroneko has an inherent gift for illusion magic. Appearance


Kuro traditionally wears his hair tied back in a half ponytail, leaving plenty of hair to fall down just a bit past his shoulders. Other than the traditional school uniform, Kuro is always seen with a purple sash around his neck. For his family, that sash was always worn by the head of the tribe. Kuro has rather sharp teeth, and his nails are really black claws capable of extending a few inches to be used as weapons. Other than cat ears and tail, he looks human by all other accounts.



Background


Gatomen are a notoriously nomadic tribe of people. A few are known to settle down, but more often than not they are constantly wandering the world on the same trails upon which they have done so for centuries. That is, until the New Fracture happened. Kuro's particular tribe of Gatomen were entertainers, like gypsies, or a wandering circus of sorts. Kuro had developed illusion magic through self instruction, and used such illusions to amaze all those who watched. He simply had a knack for it. His childhood was quite happy with his family.



But all good things eventually come to an end...



One day during their travels, a rift opened up over them. They were slaughtered before they even realized what was going on. Kuro, by pure instinct, had concealed himself with an illusion, but he did not possess enough ability at the time to create enough of an illusion to hide the rest of his family. He was forced to watch as they were slaughtered without mercy...



When he came of age, he applied for DIU, in the hopes that he could become strong enough to stop the rifts and slaughter those responsible for wiping out his family...

Kuroneko generally seems to be just a quiet person. However, should anyone actually get to know him, he is quite friendly, even if he is incredibly slow to trust others. Once his trust is earned, he can be quite extroverted and fun-loving.

Background


Josiah Claude Weyland. Son of Ulysses Francois Weyland and Olivia Jeanne Richter-Weyland. The Weyland name is a respectable name in Damasceane, often noting some respect in scholarly fields such a medicine, archaeology (with shame, his family disapproved of the choice), cybernetics and on the backs of bellowing winds of rumors, forbidden alchemy. Forbidden being for the fact that it stresses way beyond the limit of human morality and more towards the dire search of truth and knowledge.



Ulysses was a wanderer, but also a knowledge seeker, oft being the black sheep of the family. A lecherous young man in his youth, he sought all what was. Sex. Books. History. It was surprising The Weylands started covering up Ulysses's ventures. Both due to his lechery and his black sheep of research, archaeology and occultism. It was not a surprise once he didn't show to formal events the Weyland's held. Ulysses grew alone and a bit drunk on his free reign. With that he explored far beyond the borders of Damasceane without guilt or care behind him. ever if there was one.



Although he did have his money, this is what funded his endeavors. He was always an avid pioneer for his family, often taking himself to the dark corners of the Weyland family to uncover such tantalizing knowledge. There he even found some sinister implications of eugenics.....



While some would raise up arms in his position, he did not--as he continued to play about with learning more and more. Obsessing over knowledge and understanding. As the dark history of the world drew him to go even further he went to Onesh, To investigate the history that lied there.



Meanwhile Josiah's mother had yet to me the man, but often hearing of his family she decided that the Weylands seemed distraught, as most did, when realizing a seat of their family had been left empty. It was a turbulent time in those in the scientific community. Olivia was not entirely with her own fears as the question of assassination and infighting. Damasceane had not been a kind place to her once her lineage of her ancestors had been revealed. Generations long ago her ancestors had a Dwarf in their family, however twas not before Leon's domination over them, rather amidst the war. While the exact nature of the relationship is unknown it is undeniable that Dwarven blood ran through her veins. She felt somewhat as an outcast in her fields of traditional medical and Ethereal Medical research. One day it had finally gotten to her, and she sought greener planes,



She took to humble professions outside Damasceane. She became a researcher and field medic. She more or less researched the effects of teleportation from The Fracture and seeing if it had any effect on the biological life. It was often a hot topic issue, but it genuinely interested her more than the idea of harnessing it.



Ulysses, who had been learning of old magics that lied nestled in the annals of history--saved from being burned or tarnished by Leon, ventured to more magical pastures. Using his knowledge of the more forbidden alchemical practices and runic incantations from old Dwarfs, some of which have been rather nicely kept secret, he researched further into the occult. One occult find was Summoning Bondage. Which placed the user in a binding contract for their entire life (or moreso) in order for a ethereal being to be bonded to them. An irrevocable contract. Ulysses stayed his hand, despite the vast knowledge it could provide him with it was rather anti-climatic for him to end his long journey with such shortcuts. However he thought it to be a novel idea. However it would have to come at a cost. As his ravenous interest devoured what morsels he could, he looked to The Fracture for more insight. Leading him to a colleague that would forever change his life.



Ulysses had appeared one day at a small skirmish, a rift had opened and begun flooding with beings from the other worlds and terrorizing these people outside the safety of Damasceane and its sister cities. It was a populace far flung from the safety of magic like the one Ulysses could wield. Ulysses watched as his countrymen struggled. And he did nothing. Ulysses was no hero, He was a man with a ravenous appetite for knowledge, and this conflict allowed him more--until...



Olivia rushed to find her comrades and team being tossed back the by creatures of the rift. She only knew little oh more volatile magics. She was a healer, a damn good one at that--but even she could not heal one from death. So as she watched some of her friends die, she fought.



Ulysses was flabbergasted at the woman's headlong attack into the battle. He had a momentary lapse of pity. He smirked and laughed, for the first time in years he laughed. And with that he rained his wrath upon the small amount of Otherworlders.



The battle had ended with the reprise in the Damasceane Scientist Team. Olivia interrogated the man. His general aloof behavior and social awkwardness was a farcry from the man who slew non-humans with such fancy. Although the methodical way about him belied such. It was a month after the even and Ulysses had begun prying into the work of the researchers, giving valuable observations and commentary. By that time Olivia had found out he was the lost heir of the Weylands, but kept it to herself. Receiving medial provisions with the Weyland plastered onto them inspired contempt within him. She saw these moments of humanity the man had. Garnishing some respect as they both genuinely felt disgust against those who abused the meritocracy of Damasceane. It was not before long then the two started seeing one another as fellow researchers, and then lovers.



The two never developed a loving relationship, but an intense rivalry that lead to different ventures. 2 years and a child held between them rarely did anything for their relationship. They took the blessing of the child differently. Olivia was a caring mother toward it, however Ulysses acted distant and enthralled by learning elsewhere. Josiah never once heard an "I love you" between them. While his father showed great pride in his son's interest in magic and technology, he was not a doting father. Incapable to show such ideas with the lack of a proper one in his life. His mother was one of the more true motherly types, but neglected him in the tides of work. Born in Onesh territories he was a Damasceane-Onesh citizen, not that it mattered much in the way of good for him. Saying one was born in Onesh is rather a societal death sentence.



As they traveled the lands nearing the rifts, In the years of Josiah's life leading up to his teen years he had witnessed many a horror from battle, while it did scar him somewhat it revealed a nature within him. Josiah was hard pressed to protect, much like his mother. However it was more of the sword than bandage. As Josiah grew he had some experience training to defend himself. Even that wouldn't save him though.



One day a rift poured forth a mass of otherworlders, while the battle seemed even a sudden rush of anger flowed through Josiah as he watch his mother, who was attending an injured researcher, get hit. While Ulysses was begged to be removed from his studies he was nowhere to be found. Josiah saw himself as the only one who could help his mother. As he watched his mother almost get killed, the young teen had rushed into the battle. It meant little as they ravage the land.



One otherworldly being took him, and snapped his spine. Crippling him. Josiah had lost all motion and feeling in his legs. The science team recuperated, but in the end his mother had been killed, but Josiah spent a week in bed. As a cripple. He felt what it meant to lose power and motion in his life. Stagnation.



It was only days after Ulysses had visited his son in secret, learning of his paraplegic condition. A guilt overcame Ulysses like never before. He returned to Damasceane with his son. Working endlessly for a way to make his son walk once more. Josiah spent time in the Weyland Manor, a slow acceptance was




received to the bastard child. However it was more towards the revenue from Ulysses's genius at work. The Weyland Family grew as a company all in the guilt ridden endeavor Ulysses held.


It wasn't surprising that Josiah never saw his father, for he was often the outcast. The toll of his mother's death was a harsh one. He was jaded and harshly critical of his father's absence. Resenting him over it, eve cursing the genes he held within him. Josiah's condition was rather unstable for a time, He often went into small comas. During these times Ulysses would attempt to sedate him and implant cybernetics within him. Testing their effectiveness. To try and make his creation walk once more.



It became a facet of his occultism. As he witnessed the rise of people being praised over their ability--thus he turned to the research which started his journey. Summon Bondage. As he etched the ruins into the spinal cybernetic and cranial implants along etchings in his bone. He experimented on the boy amidst his comatose lapses and ultimately finished his experiments around the age of 16. Although it had to be Josiah who summoned this ether-being to his call with his desires.



It is unknown what measures Josiah took to call his summon to arms and the pact they made. He'd rather it be left a secret. However Josiah was infuriated as he realized the actions his father took upon him. He gained the ability to walk, but now he was punished eternally with his pact. He was used and gifted the ability to walk once more....He was confused and hateful.



Of course the Weyland Family took notice of the boy's latent talents appearing along with the summoning of such a high level creature. As much as he hated DIU by the proxy of it being an institution of Damasceane, he was a bit glad that he could say his mother would be proud in his actions for upholding the offer.



He swallowed his beliefs for that moment and pressed onward, to learn about Magic. Science. Reason and to find his Purpose







Personality

Josiah is a child with an underlying rage to him, a strong pettiness to his actions and overall he can be very vehemently stuck in his beliefs, It is ironic that he thinks the same of Damasceane and it's peoples. Josiah feels impassioned by many things, much like his parents he has a lust for knowledge and understanding, but as a child he is still close-minded in a few ways. Along with that he is rather meticulous in his ways and notices subtle actions with more scrutiny then one may perceive, this makes him rather fit to discern some more sensitive information. (It is believe he gains this trait from his father, who also was a hyper-paranoid man.)


Josiah has a strong personality and conviction for justice. Of right and wrong. While he does seek reform and generally a social revolution, he is very much so a man who can speak to whoever he likes with some competence. Save for royals and higher esteemed individuals with no actual merit. He truly desires to be understood and felt on a very deep level.



He has a slight disposition against those with the Rozenberg name or those from royalty in their blood. He thinks such things are outdated.



Josiah on a more positive note is actually a really nice kid, once not setting of his beliefs, but he is often needing of companionship of some sort or at least encouragement. Due to his passionate and almost zealot like demeanor towards some subjects he would make a rather charismatic leader to those who feel him on that level of thinking, and even then if given a strong bond beyond that he finds strength to protect those he loves--even with some more adverse self-sacrifice and desire to go to extremes to do so.

Curse Summoning: Louis Schiffer (III)


[Pronounced LU-EE, SSH-IFF-ER] The summon is brought about through his cybernetics and his magics. But summoning through his cybernetics diminishes Louis's power Keeping it short there is a complex nature to this power than what it appears. His cybernetics release nano-machines in which allow for a medium in which the summon can more easily take form. While he can summon this creature "naturally" But he loses feeling in his limbs and body. Along with that he takes a large penalty of being able to move. His body become rather heavy and unable to properly move. While the nature of this ability is dependent right now on his cybernetics that keeps him from being paraplegic. Louis Schiffer is a durable and strong summon using sounds and it's vibrations. It does have unique abilities confined to it, but nothing like spells.



Louis can use the songs to attack, disorient and cause general calamity. One of the applications is using the sounds to resonate with the ether around matter and cause general instability, making it easier to destroy objects--especially magically summoned creatures or objects



A huge downside to this summoning though is the neural connection. Josiah feels and understands (somewhat) Louis is feeling and thinking. Even Damage. Meaning that if Louis gets damaged so will Josiah. If damage so badly he can revert to a cripple once more, but this very rarely happens.



Louis Schiffer also has some semblance of independence, allowing for combat knowledge or general observations. Louis is often called the more smart of the two, but Josiah the more passionate and brash



Passion and Indignation I


Josiah has an above average willpower, the extremes in which he goes to move forward and to accomplish his desires and beliefs is near insane. Josiah forces himself to the extreme every moment. This however leads him dangerous situations. However he does take up these effort often alone over the overwhelming guilt from his past.



Josiah's passion is overly infectious and Indignation overly vehement. He'd rather die with the last drop of his blood be spilled than lose to something.



Runic Magics Of Old II


Josiah has a natural inclination towards magic, but nothing to the point with his father. However the runes inscribed on his bones and cybernetics allows him to call upon old magics that assist the body. These are not the same as elemental magics from long ago, but rather ones that define a pure neutrality. Force and Motion. With these runes Josiah calls upon a magical barrier that protects his body. This shielding can take damage from more direct sources, but nothing like the effects of Louis Getting Damage. It improves defenses enough to make him aegis of the team. He can manipulate it to an extent where it he change the surface to geometric shapes, like adding points to the barrier to make a knuckle dusters or he can route the barrier to a single limb and unleash a great mighty barrier attack. At the cost of him not being protected. The barrier being eliminated or manipulated takes a toll on him and often leaves him tired



Field Medic II


Due to living with his mother and her research team, Josiah has become an experience medical practitioner. Not to the level of his mother, but he can heal (with some focus) a nasty gash. Josiah is experience in dealing with gore and secretly loves helping as a doctor. He heals with both ether and medkits. Using ether however takes concentration and total focus for him so all other abilities shutdown to do so. He can heal himself, but it cannot be considered the same. He still has to shutdown other abilities to do such a thing.



Old Oneshian Fist III


Josiah was taught during his youth to help protect the research team, leading him to be combat trained. Even be a bit dull to the horrors of battle. However while he did take some knowledge of basic Damasceane war arts. However as they researched more they learn of old ways of Oneshian Warriors. While some used their massive size, others were calculating and using their rage with such efficiency that they feared for their prowess and brutality. Louis after his summoning gave Josiah some of this knowledge, at the cost of a bit of his collective cool. Thus Josiah is a bit more inclined to rage.



This once dead martial art allows for him to fully unlock the potential of his rage in a flurry of unpredictable attacks. Killing intent is often discussed within it, mostly towards the idea that every attack must be able to deliver the killing blow. This is a fighting style with little mercy and little restraint, and often hurts more than one would be willing to allow.



Josiah had attempt to beat a family member into submission, but left them hospitalized as a result.

Eruna's personality is beyond words. She has a very crazy and hyper personality, making her very energetic. Though she has her heart in the right place, she's quite oblivious about matters that involve the bigger picture of things and lacking knowledge in some areas, or math to say in the least. Eruna constantly has a deep sense of right or wrong and will go to extremes to correct situations if they are involving those she is close to. Josiah is known to wear some rather dull clothing, often opting as if he is going to a mission rather than casual. His Summon often notes of his lack of fashion choice when he choose a dark brooding color with fashion ill in mind. In all aspects, Josiah is colorblind. He finds it embarrassing as he cannot discern proper coloration for a respectable outfit. Sometimes he just wanders with what he has on his back


Background


Josiah Claude Weyland. Son of Ulysses Francois Weyland and Olivia Jeanne Richter-Weyland. The Weyland name is a respectable name in Damasceane, often noting some respect in scholarly fields such a medicine, archaeology (with shame, his family disapproved of the choice), cybernetics and on the backs of bellowing winds of rumors, forbidden alchemy. Forbidden being for the fact that it stresses way beyond the limit of human morality and more towards the dire search of truth and knowledge.



Ulysses was a wanderer, but also a knowledge seeker, oft being the black sheep of the family. A lecherous young man in his youth, he sought all what was. Sex. Books. History. It was surprising The Weylands started covering up Ulysses's ventures. Both due to his lechery and his black sheep of research, archaeology and occultism. It was not a surprise once he didn't show to formal events the Weyland's held. Ulysses grew alone and a bit drunk on his free reign. With that he explored far beyond the borders of Damasceane without guilt or care behind him. ever if there was one.



Although he did have his money, this is what funded his endeavors. He was always an avid pioneer for his family, often taking himself to the dark corners of the Weyland family to uncover such tantalizing knowledge. There he even found some sinister implications of eugenics.....



While some would raise up arms in his position, he did not--as he continued to play about with learning more and more. Obsessing over knowledge and understanding. As the dark history of the world drew him to go even further he went to Onesh, To investigate the history that lied there.



Meanwhile Josiah's mother had yet to me the man, but often hearing of his family she decided that the Weylands seemed distraught, as most did, when realizing a seat of their family had been left empty. It was a turbulent time in those in the scientific community. Olivia was not entirely with her own fears as the question of assassination and infighting. Damasceane had not been a kind place to her once her lineage of her ancestors had been revealed. Generations long ago her ancestors had a Dwarf in their family, however twas not before Leon's domination over them, rather amidst the war. While the exact nature of the relationship is unknown it is undeniable that Dwarven blood ran through her veins. She felt somewhat as an outcast in her fields of traditional medical and Ethereal Medical research. One day it had finally gotten to her, and she sought greener planes,



She took to humble professions outside Damasceane. She became a researcher and field medic. She more or less researched the effects of teleportation from The Fracture and seeing if it had any effect on the biological life. It was often a hot topic issue, but it genuinely interested her more than the idea of harnessing it.



Ulysses, who had been learning of old magics that lied nestled in the annals of history--saved from being burned or tarnished by Leon, ventured to more magical pastures. Using his knowledge of the more forbidden alchemical practices and runic incantations from old Dwarfs, some of which have been rather nicely kept secret, he researched further into the occult. One occult find was Summoning Bondage. Which placed the user in a binding contract for their entire life (or moreso) in order for a ethereal being to be bonded to them. An irrevocable contract. Ulysses stayed his hand, despite the vast knowledge it could provide him with it was rather anti-climatic for him to end his long journey with such shortcuts. However he thought it to be a novel idea. However it would have to come at a cost. As his ravenous interest devoured what morsels he could, he looked to The Fracture for more insight. Leading him to a colleague that would forever change his life.



Ulysses had appeared one day at a small skirmish, a rift had opened and begun flooding with beings from the other worlds and terrorizing these people outside the safety of Damasceane and its sister cities. It was a populace far flung from the safety of magic like the one Ulysses could wield. Ulysses watched as his countrymen struggled. And he did nothing. Ulysses was no hero, He was a man with a ravenous appetite for knowledge, and this conflict allowed him more--until...



Olivia rushed to find her comrades and team being tossed back the by creatures of the rift. She only knew little oh more volatile magics. She was a healer, a damn good one at that--but even she could not heal one from death. So as she watched some of her friends die, she fought.



Ulysses was flabbergasted at the woman's headlong attack into the battle. He had a momentary lapse of pity. He smirked and laughed, for the first time in years he laughed. And with that he rained his wrath upon the small amount of Otherworlders.



The battle had ended with the reprise in the Damasceane Scientist Team. Olivia interrogated the man. His general aloof behavior and social awkwardness was a farcry from the man who slew non-humans with such fancy. Although the methodical way about him belied such. It was a month after the even and Ulysses had begun prying into the work of the researchers, giving valuable observations and commentary. By that time Olivia had found out he was the lost heir of the Weylands, but kept it to herself. Recieving medial provisions with the Weyland plastered onto them inspired contempt within him. She saw these moments of humanity the man had. Garnishing some respect as they both genuinely felt disgust against those who abused the meritocracy of Damasceane. It was not before long then the two started seeing one another as fellow researchers, and then lovers.



The two never developed a loving relationship, but an intense rivalry that lead to different ventures. 2 years and a child held between them rarely did anything for their relationship. They took the blessing of the child differently. Olivia was a caring mother toward it, however Ulysses acted distant and enthralled by learning elsewhere. Josiah never once heard an "I love you" between them. While his father showed great pride in his son's interest in magic and technology, he was not a doting father. Incapable to show such ideas with the lack of a proper one in his life. His mother was one of the more true motherly types, but neglected him in the tides of work. Born in Onesh territories he was a Damasceane-Onesh citizen, not that it mattered much in the way of good for him. Saying one was born in Onesh is rather a societal death sentence.



As they traveled the lands nearing the rifts, In the years of Josiah's life leading up to his teen years he had witnessed many a horror from battle, while it did scar him somewhat it revealed a nature within him. Josiah was hard pressed to protect, much like his mother. However it was more of the sword than bandage. As Josiah grew he had some experience training to defend himself. Even that wouldn't save him though.



One day a rift poured forth a mass of otherworlders, while the battle seemed even a sudden rush of anger flowed through Josiah as he watch his mother, who was attending an injured researcher, get hit. While Ulysses was begged to be removed from his studies he was nowhere to be found. Josiah saw himself as the only one who could help his mother. As he watched his mother almost get killed, the young teen had rushed into the battle. It meant little as they ravage the land.



One otherworldly being took him, and snapped his spine. Crippling him. Josiah had lost all motion and feeling in his legs. The science team recuperated, but in the end his mother had been killed, but Josiah spent a week in bed. As a cripple. He felt what it meant to lose power and motion in his life. Stagnation.



It was only days after Ulysses had visited his son in secret, learning of his paraplegic condition. A guilt overcame Ulysses like never before. He returned to Damasceane with his son. Working endlessly for a way to make his son walk once more. Josiah spent time in the Weyland Manor, a slow acceptance was




received to the bastard child. However it was more towards the revenue from Ulysses's genius at work. The Weyland Family grew as a company all in the guilt ridden endeavor Ulysses held.


It wasn't surprising that Josiah never saw his father, for he was often the outcast. The toll of his mother's death was a harsh one. He was jaded and harshly critical of his father's absence. Resenting him over it, eve cursing the genes he held within him. Josiah's condition was rather unstable for a time, He often went into small comas. During these times Ulysses would attempt to sedate him and implant cybernetics within him. Testing their effectiveness. To try and make his creation walk once more.



It became a facet of his occultism. As he witnessed the rise of people being praised over their ability--thus he turned to the research which started his journey. Summon Bondage. As he etched the ruins into the spinal cybernetic and cranial implants along etchings in his bone. He experimented on the boy amidst his comatose lapses and ultimately finished his experiments around the age of 16. Although it had to be Josiah who summoned this ether-being to his call with his desires.



It is unknown what measures Josiah took to call his summon to arms and the pact they made. He'd rather it be left a secret. However Josiah was infuriated as he realized the actions his father took upon him. He gained the ability to walk, but now he was punished eternally with his pact. He was used and gifted the ability to walk once more....He was confused and hateful.



Of course the Weyland Family took notice of the boy's latent talents appearing along with the summoning of such a high level creature. As much as he hated DIU by the proxy of it being an institution of Damasceane, he was a bit glad that he could say his mother would be proud in his actions for upholding the offer.



He swallowed his beliefs for that moment and pressed onward, to learn about Magic. Science. Reason and to find his Purpose







Personality

Josiah is a child with an underlying rage to him, a strong pettiness to his actions and overall he can be very vehemently stuck in his beliefs, It is ironic that he thinks the same of Damasceane and it's peoples. Josiah feels impassioned by many things, much like his parents he has a lust for knowledge and understanding, but as a child he is still close-minded in a few ways. Along with that he is rather meticulous in his ways and notices subtle actions with more scrutiny then one may perceive, this makes him rather fit to discern some more sensitive information. (It is believe he gains this trait from his father, who also was a hyper-paranoid man.)


Josiah has a strong personality and conviction for justice. Of right and wrong. While he does seek reform and generally a social revolution, he is very much so a man who can speak to whoever he likes with some competence. Save for royals and higher esteemed individuals with no actual merit. He truly desires to be understood and felt on a very deep level.



He has a slight disposition against those with the Rozenberg name or those from royalty in their blood. He thinks such things are outdated.



Josiah on a more positive note is actually a really nice kid, once not setting of his beliefs, but he is often needing of companionship of some sort or at least encouragement. Due to his passionate and almost zealot like demeanor towards some subjects he would make a rather charismatic leader to those who feel him on that level of thinking, and even then if given a strong bond beyond that he finds strength to protect those he loves--even with some more adverse self-sacrifice and desire to go to extremes to do so.

There goes a saying that every Damascean looks the same. You'd believe it to be true, as nearly everyone in the city, with true Damascean blood from ages past running in them, sported the same black hair, same fair skin, leaving the eye coloration, and the arrangement of one's appearance the only variable. It's an exaggeration that held some truth. Elizabeth was blessed with a set of sapphire blue eyes, like most of her family and most of Damasceane for that matter, and long, flowing black hair. She, like most of her countrymen, had fair skin that she maintained a smooth texture. She kept her body away as possible from any blemish and scars. However, she has a small mole on the lower right of her lips that she is self conscious of. As far as attire goes, she is most comfortable in lose shirts and baggy pajamas when in her dorm, or at home. Otherwise, she would adopt a conservative arrangement of clothing sporting at least a skirt, heels, and a blouse, with the coloring of all of each depending on her choosing. Her wardrobe would also sport black dresses and the such for more formal occasions, her regular uniforms, and armor



Background


Elizabeth Catherine von Rozenberg couldn't have been more lucky to have been born to a powerful family of magicians whose lineage traces back to Leon of Verim, the philosopher king of Damasceane in its early years. From an early age, she was brought up with an expectation of becoming a candidate of Lord Magistry should her older brother, Franz von Rozenberg, not pursue the same direction her parents expected her to. Though her parents never told her of this secret expectation when she was young, Franz did. Elizabeth, age 4 at the time, already understood the implications of such a heavy undertaking, and one being pushed onto her. She had no interest in politics or managing the country at the time, as everything she did was either read or play with the other royal family children. As early as then, she was taught to wield a weapon, staring with a practice baton, eventually reaching real, albeit light, swords by her fifth birthday. Just like her mother and father, and her forefathers, she was kept on a healthy diet, and was tutored in fencing by both her father's protector, the retired Cptn. Good-Day of the Damascean Air Force, and by instructors in training facilities where others interested can join. Not only was she trained in the art of the sword but also that of magic. She had a growing fascination of the sort that while she was browsing the internet, she stumbled upon real time strategy multi player games, or MOBAs. She was hooked from day one. Of course, she was not the best when she started, but after months, and years of practice and reading up, she would anonymously win a gold medal in an international championship tournament. The money she won, as she didn't need it, she donated part to charity, and part to the fencing facility she was trained in. She would become so good at this, that while winning, she would also try as much as possible to make the best looking base, as if an actual engineer played the game and didn't give a thought of attacking players. Not only did winning feel good, so was being better than a lot of people, though she would not admit the latter. It was at this point that she came to realize that with a certain set of skills she could get from school, she could do the same, but in real life. Some time prior to her 6th birthday, Creighton, her first younger brother was born. Wolfe, her second younger brother, and Lilia, her youngest and only sister would follow. She and Creighton bonded pretty quickly when he came to the age of comprehending language, and being able to play simple games with her. They were inseparable, and up to now, they still quite are. She was a pillar that he could recline on if he was tired, a font of inspiration. She was the reason why he picked up reading at an early age, as she would read him books before tucking him to bed. The times spent with Creighton, as well has the rest of her family are her most cherished ones.



During one of the first rifts to ever happen in Damasceane, everyone was unprepared, even with scientists monitoring the symptoms of these rifts. One opened up right above the Rozenberg, her family tower home at the heart of the city. Like out of a horror movie, a monster of giant proportions ripped itself from the tear of spacetime that opened above her tower home. Worried for her family, she wanted to help face the beast with her father and the other top tier magicians, but was told to protect her siblings. So she did. Kriegr, the last Arch Mage before Thenier II, mounted an aerial assault with all the best battle mages Damasceane could offer against the monster, including the good Captain Good Day. With Good Day steering the air ship with his wind element specialty, Kriegr and his team of magicians fired spells at the monster that circled the skies in hopes that they could lure it into the sea where it could be safely shot at by the cannons on the walls. They lured the monster successfully, and it was easily taken down by the powerful mortar and shelling the city gave. It fell into the sea, only to resurface again. The king attempted a risky move, where he would summon the weapons used by the previous heads of the Rozenberg family and dove into the beast, telekinetically wielding the weapons as he tore through flesh and bone like paper. In doing so, he tugged on the Ether a little too hard, enough to knock him unconscious as he exited the other side of the beast. Kriegr was pronounced dead when his body washed up ashore a few weeks later. Eva, his wife entered a state of depression but nevertheless fulfilled her duty as both Lord Magister and Mother.



Captain Good Day didn't go unscathed from the traumatizing experience either. In an attempt to force a storm over the monster, he tugged on the Ether harder than he should, causing him to have a deteriorating mentality. It turned out not to be so life-threatening when doctors helped him recover. While he may communicate, all he oculd say is "Good Day!", which both himself and Elizabeth found funny. Elizabeth will never forget the noble sacrifice of her father, and would do her best to honor his memory, but at the same time look forward to a brighter future for Damasceane. She became the Chairman of the Student Body Committee. As the school is ran as an independent entity form Damasceane, Elizabeth, and her council are in charge of school affairs and security.



Personality


On the surface, she would appear cool headed, and polite, making her likely the last person you would think capable of throwing a fit of rage. If she were to do so, then she would do it craftily, using subterfuge and deception to deal pain onto those who she deems worthy of discipline. She is a shrewd enforcer of school policy when she happens to be around when anything illegal takes place. Using both a wrist-mounted spell-enhancer, and martial arts, or even her underlings, she shows little mercy to troublemakers. On a brighter side, she takes care of people she likes, and their close friends. She believes that one should lead by example.

Tribal by nature, various clans have almost constantly been clashing for some reason or another that even they cannot seem to fully remember. Recently discovered by civilization, which is astounding considering they don't live in a very thick jungle that could possibly hide them from the rest of the world, Buras is one of the first of many to make their way to the various Eastern schools.

•Philosophies: Like all others of the Uros tribes, he believes that all aspects of nature has a spirit, or a part of a greater spirit, within it. Each home has a spirit protecting it and either blessing it or cursing it. Each animal they kill is a part of something greater and is being taken from that being which they then apologize to through various means often involving blood. More commonly, however, forgiveness is asked in the form of a quick bowing of the head and a few muttered words as well as burning a piece of the creature or object in a fire. The fire itself is a spirit that delivers this message along with the gift, and the apology is often accepted. How do they know this? Well, their house is never burned down, herds are not decimated by disease, and nothing bad otherwise happens.

Appearance


The Uros are comonly compared to those of birds. This is understandable, due to their obviously avian features. So, let's try to describe him like a bird. A fusion of a stork and an eagle, or hawk. With the storks almost comical height in relation to most birds and the eagles intimidating power, he makes the fusion of the two look natural. And when he is in full traditional garb, paint and everything, ready for battle, he is a truly intimidating figure. However, in his usual clothing he does not look intimidating, and simply sticks out in a crowd. The apparent tusks in the picture are in fact a sort of piercings, and are engraved with pictures of significant events in the wearers life. These peircings are often replaced simply by necessity, and a Urks that has lived a full, complete life often has piercings whose tips reach to just below his chest.



Background


He was raised like any other Uros, with only a few exceptions. He was tought how to hunt with a bow and spear, how to sneak up on even the most cautious creature, and to identify which plants were safe to eat and which to coat the tip of your arrows in for larger prey, and which to do neither with (not wanting to deal with poisoned meat). The exception is, he's one of the sons of the chief. Note how I said one of, not only. He is not destined to lead the tribe, lest something akin to the apocolylse wipes out the rest of his family. Other then that, he was treated like any other Uros child striving to achieve adulthood. He might have had it even tougher, his father not wanting the rest to think he was going easy on him simply because he was his son.



He achieved manhood in a brief skirmish against a clan encroaching on their hunting land. Buras hit the raiding party's apparent leader with an arrow through the throat, and the rest fled. The raider leader was the only casualty of that brief fight, and by laws all Uros lived by it was perfectly legal. However, the Todos never got along with them, and making this what made Buras a man is equivalent to giving that tribe the middle finger. 'Yeah, we just killed one of yours. Now he's a man for it and we're going to celebrate.' That's basically what the ceremony was. That was also when he got his knives, and his jaw piercings. The knives having a hilt of a bird to those that do not know, a Uros for those that do, with a small hand guard shaped to look like an arrow. The piercings have a similar picture etched into them at the thicker end, with scenes of memorable hunts going towards the bottom.



When the tribes were found, Buras remembers, his tribe brandished spears and drawn arrows to threaten then off. Yet the foreigners did not even flinch at this display of might. And without any apparent weapons, it is later found out she had a pistol on her, she walks straight up to his father, who was quite easy to pick out since he was wearing perhaps the most brilliant clothing, and laid a hand on each of his shoulders before giving him a hug. Back then, the Uros had no clue what a hug was, and so his father had no clue how to react. Going stiff as a board, arms straight at his side, he looks down at the small figure that had a hold of him, and then around to his warriors. What he said next he would never live down. "Is she trying to mate with me?"

And a few months later, his father agreed to let his most able son, to survive in the new workd, to act as a sort of ambassador, and attend this new school. When he left for the school, it had almost been a year since the foreigners had first made contact. And it had been two since he had become a man. Yet here he was, going back to school. And he couldn't be more excited.

Is he silent? Yes. But not because he's shy. No, he simply does not find many needs to talk. He'll politely sit and listen to you talk, nod along and give some feed back. But good luck trying to get him into a conversation. His idea of a conversation is one person talking about one subject for a period of time. After a while, they will finish and let it pass on to the next person. To put is in perspective, his idea of a conversation is like bowling while the Eastern idea of a conversation is like tennis. To him, you are running down the bowling alley to throw the bowling ball back. It's still something he is getting used to.

The Wise One had a particular interest in him, and so taught him much about the spirits. He proved to be rather adept at this form of magic, but refuses to believe in the widely accepted belief that it is the ether he is manipulating instead of spirits coming to assist him. He can perform any spell you wish him to perform, but it will be in a vastly different way. So far, attempts at teaching him the "proper" way of casting magic has met with nothing but failure.



Combat IV


He was trained to protect his tribe, and he will do so to the best of his ability. He excels with a spear or bow more then most other things. But knives are what he performs best with, though he will not use his due to religious and social beliefs. And any other knife is automatically assumed inferior and unfit for anything aside from cutting food.



Riding III


He can ride almost anything but the most stubborn of creatures. One of his brothers loved breaking in mounts for the others to ride, so he never did get much practice at riding wild or freshly broken mounts.



It is worth noting that though he can more than survive most things, in this society he has the grace of a whale out of water.

Though her looks make her look young, it also gets her easily mistaken for being younger than her actual age. Her hair reaches to the mid of her back and naturally wavy with the ends in little curls. Her bangs are quite long and covers her eyes which is why she wears bobby pins to keep them in place. Usually, her attire always changes except for her varsity jacket that she cherishes deeply due to it belonging to her late decreased brother. She is not seen wearing much jewelry nor make-up but when it comes to formal occasions, she may try to look dignified for the event.

Luseia was born as your normal citizen in the city of Damasceane among a family of four with her father as a pureblood Elf and her mother as a pureblood Damascean. Both her and her brother were a half-breed race between the two though their mother's genes were much stronger in the genetic race. While growing up, she had an older brother by 3 years apart named, Lukas, who was born weak unlike her. He wasn't as strong as most kids and was kept indoors a lot because he would get terrible fevers if he stay out in the sun for too long.


On Luseia's end, she was a healthy young girl who was always curious about everything and loved a good adventure. Unlike her brother, she was able to go outside and stay out as long as she wanted but though she was given this privilege, she tried her best to always keep her brother's spirit up by playing with him as much as she could. Being a loving little sister, she adored her older brother and had a slight brother complex - but not to the extreme - for her brother. During the times she spent with her ill brother, she started to develop a passion for art and enjoyed drawing things she had seen outside to show to her older brother so he could feel as if he was part of her explorations.



As the two got older, her brother's condition fell for the worse. His movements were limit to only being able to sit up from his bed when he needed to eat - with some assistance - and his energy was slowly diminishing every minute passing. Since the beginning, there were no cure or magic that could save him from the strange illness he was given since birth and all they could do was watch as he spent the last minutes of his life waiting for death to claim him from his suffering. It was a painful time for Luseia, especially at a young age of 10, to watch someone so close to her slowly dying and being so helpless against the strong force who was taking him away. It was a period of grief for the family but they tried to make the last moments memorable for their beloved till the time came for him.


The day soon came and just like that, Lukas breathed his last breath leaving a simple sentence for his little sister, Luseia, and his parents before he passed away. The funeral was held and the only thing Luseia had left from her brother was his favorite jacket and the last words he said...

Childhood to Now



While Luseia was developing her skills in drawing, she soon discovered the use of ether to bring out her work. She used her powers as a way to entertain people and also in a way for protecting those she holds dearly. Her father was also giving her some training in combat when she is in a situation being armed and unarmed. While her brother was dead, she threw herself into studying and became conflicted with grief. After some reflection, she soon got out of her depression and knew that her brother didn't want her to be like this. Getting back up onto her feet, she decided to make a change and the best place to start was in D.I.U where she hopes to someone useful.





Personality


Luseia gives off a vivid atmosphere that is welcoming to strangers and is an amiable person. She doesn't judge one by appearance but by their skills and attitude. She is very observant of others and her surrounding due to her curiosity always hungry for knowledge. Luseia always follows an optimistic thinking and overlook the bad as a good thing. She won't let things darken her bright attitude and will always be the one to bring smiles. To her, she believes that anyone can get through anything as long as they think positively instead of falling victim to the negative. She isn't one to push her feelings on others and will be considerate of one's privacy.



While she is a bubbly girl, she does have her time when she wants to reflect on things alone and be serious on reality. Taking time for herself, she would hang out somewhere quiet where she can do some little studying of her own and research about anything that perks her interest. Though she likes to be alone, she doesn't mind some company as long as you don't disturb her too much.


Now, to the serious trouble about Luseia. She may seem small but it amazes many on how big of a stomach she has. She is very serious when it comes to her hunger and would complain if her stomach is left empty for too long which is why she always bring a supply of snacks for herself to keep herself sane. She may be kind but food is something she would fight you for so by all means, be careful around her when food is involved.

Taught by her father, she has some ways to defend herself. Her fighting style is similar to Taekwondo with some Judo techniques mixed into it. She can fight armed and unarmed. Luseia range attacks is average along with her melee attacks.




Artistic Magic I



Luseia isn't very strong with the use of her powers in attacking but she can make some kind of entertainment for herself with it. The less she could do is make her art come to life but can't move at its own accord.

A prodigy artist since she was young, her art skills are amazing and she is very creative with her ideas. She would draw anything that comes to mind and draw it out as she plans.

Sandra has a personality similar to what one might consider a "Hippie". She's free spirited and keeps an open mind. Her actions are gentle and her intentions are pure. Some of her ways may be a little eccentric and most of these ways were something she'd learned or picked up from her mother. Sandra prefers peace and tranquility to an edgy and unpredictable lifestyle. She always does her best to remain positive in even the most pressing of situations. After all, she is proof of what may seem unlikely and impossible becoming a reality.


Her expression is usually open and friendly, though she can often appear tired or worn out even if she has had a full night's rest. Sandra is very intelligent and loves to learn new things. And more often times than not, she is willing to take risks if they are not too foolish. Sandra uses magic to move inanimate objects. Though this requires a lot of concentration and effort, she has also been practicing moving her legs with the magic. It's still awkward and more often times than not, it just involves her taking a shaky stand and then falling to the floor.

Sandra has had a photographic memory since she was a small child. This, coupled with her fascination for learning, has turned her into an information bank. It's difficult to find a random fact she hasn't already read or heard of.

Sandra spends a lot of time writing and reading. She is also pretty good at coming up with intricate stories on the spot and has a way with her story telling that could make anyone the least bit interested. History
Doesn't everyone have that one person they love more than anything? Sandra's was her Mother. The two had one of the closest relationships a mother and daughter could have. Sandra was definitely her mother's daughter, the two shared so much in common they could have been considered twins if not for the age difference. Her father had died at a younger age, a little bit before Sandra herself was born from a disease that seemed to be hereditary. It was something that was usually found to be present when a child was born and her mother was terrified her little girl would meet the same fate. She was relieved to find there were no signs and that Sandra appeared to be a healthy baby.


In their home, there was also happiness. Her mother was fond of the elements and nature so it was no surprise that the environment lacked technology comparatively and made it for it with candles, incense, and leafy plants. She taught Sandra how to take care of the plants, cook, and craft. Her mother too also enjoyed writing and a lot of their time was spent reading stories. Often times, Sandra would ask about her Father. Instead of getting sad or refusing to talk about it, her mother painted elaborate pictures of the lovable man and said every word with a big smile. Her mother missed him and knew it was hard for Sandra growing up without him. She also did her best to give her the next best thing; memories.



As far as ever arguing, the two really didn't have many disagreements. If there was a misunderstanding, it was quickly solved with a discussion, a warm cup of tea with a spoonful of fresh honey, and a big hug.



Unfortunately, things changed when Sandra was twelve. She woke up one morning and called in fear for her mother. When she came to her side, Sandra cried that she couldn't move her legs. Although there was no sort of proof at that moment, her mother feared the worst. Later, they discovered the disease that killed her father was actually present all along. It had taken on a dormant state within her, working very slowly and had been undetectable. The disease itself causes organs to malfunction and sometimes fail altogether. In this case, it had attacked her nervous system, or more specifically, her spinal cord. Sandra would never walk again.



The recent time after that was spent with worry and adjusting. Her father had shown similar symptoms and a few months after that, had passed away. It was expected that Sandra too would die. Instead of the joyful times they once shared, the time they spent together was filled with pain and tears. Sandra learned to hate herself for making her mother cry, though she never said that to her mother.



Strangely enough, nothing else was effected aside from a minor problem with her immune system. Sandra was more prone to getting sick than others and had to take precautions. It rendered her weaker but she did her best to remain strong. Years passed, and although there is still the possibility that matters could get worse at any moment, Sandra learned to live more peacefully and accept what may or may not come. Sadly though, it seemed likely Sandra's life was no more than a ticking time bomb. Perhaps a bomb that may never ignite, but the risk was there all the same.



Up until this point, most of her education has been introduced through her mother. At first, it was because of their lifestyle and her mothers beliefs. When the paralysis hit, it became a necessity. So, that being said, this will be Sandra's first real year going off by herself.

He has grayish-white/ blue hair that is long enough to reach his eyes. He has bright turquoise eyes, along with matching colored headphones. He's mostly seen wearing a turquoise shirt with a brownish-grey fur hoodie over it, skinny jeans, and black converse shoes. Background


Axel grew up in a house that loved music and valued it more than anything. He born to two common sirens that show no really link to their blood line. His mother was a simple singer, while his father back her up with instruments. Since his birth he has been hearing musical melodies and beautiful singing. He parents expose him to all type of sounds and musical genres in order to expand his idea of what sound is.



As he began to grow older, he began to notice that he was able to do things his parent didn’t seem to understand. That’s when his parents explained to him that he had a stronger link to their siren blood. That was when they began to push him in all aspects of music. They had a dream of him joining their group and bring the success they clearly wanted. He was pushed to learn as many instruments and songs as he could, practicing non-stop until he had it prefect. He parents only wanted him to focus on music but he had over ideas. He was very interested in main subject and used those interest to give him escape from his parents control.



His parent didn’t think he need to go to school or college for that matter. They believe he found his calling in life with their band. He was not satisfied with that life, especial since he found he had natural talent when it came to magic. He left his parent wanting nothing to do with them anymore and started to live on his own. He soon found he was able to focus better and was going to make the most of his life away from his parents now.



Personality


Axel is a rather intelligent individual. He has a manipulative side to him shown when he toys with other during random chit-chats and interactions. he is also cunning, observant, and appears to hold philosophical standpoints, shown during the conversation with others. He also seems to be rather devious when it comes to the way he operates. He also seems to have a dry sense of humor that is sometimes misinterpreted by others, he often can be seen making joke that not only self-deprecates himself but also be littles others around him.

Background


Damasceane. The place of near perfection, though the thing with perfection, is at some point it has to end. Michael was born as a twin of the opposite gender to his sister, Lydia. Born into a high-class family, he seemed to have a good life. Good food, friendly neighbors, that sort of thing. His mother, was the type of person who was kind, easy-going, and was usually just well, there. However, most of Michael and his sibling's time was spent with his father.


"Strength through Family, to reach our Destiny." A phrase Michael hears a lot from his father, but never fully understood. To Michael, these were just words without meaning. All he could see in his family, was discipline. Discipline with no end, and Michael didn't want that in his life. A life where it's only education and his father's training wasn't an ideal life for him.


Every year, he felt his father take away his personal liberties one by one, no free time. Always training, no end. Soon enough, Michael cracked, and attempted to drag his sister down with him, but with no avail. He began to ignore his father's training and various philosophies. What was the point? Being capable enough to hold his own against his enemies was all he needed, and all he cared about. After this ignorant behavior, there were arguments. A lot of arguments. But this was the first step to Michael, a first step to personal freedom.


One day at the age of fourteen, all of Michael's 'efforts' payed off and he was free to do what he wished, within the law of course. These personal liberties were used for adventure and discovery. The only problem was that there weren't any scary parts to explore, which left Michael to spend his free time helping others. He never helped others for their wellbeing, he only helped others for himself. Catching thieves, taking back stolen items, all of these acts gave him a positive image. In the end, he made a revelation. The community was his family, and he wouldn't let anything take that away from him.


A year passed, and the siblings were at the age of fifteen. On a spring morning, Michael finally wanted to apologize to his father and make amends. Coincidentally, that was the day his father died as well. Michael knew his father had a lung problem, but he wasn't ever sure that it would ever cause death. Death by Pleurisy. Not really common, but his father was a man who was stiff and never asked for help. If only he sought out a doctor, his father could have lived to see another day. After his passing, Michael's sister joined him. With each passing day, they grew a closer bond. Often doing things together, they had their team flaws as well. Michael tends to be reckless, something his father completely went against. Something Lydia went against. This recklessness often led Lydia to criticize Michael, saying how their father would disapprove. Though Michael would just go into a fit of rage whenever they discuss his faults. He's always strived to be the best for everyone, even if he did some things he regretting in the past. For it was "Strength through Family, to reach our Destiny" that led him to attempt forgiveness.


He knew his father would be proud of him. No matter how much of a child he seems to the rest of his family.


Personality


Michael would be defined as a man who tries to be the best he can be, during first impressions at least. A kind person with a caustic wit, Michael finds it easy to communicate with others, if they mirror his personality in some way that is. His friendliness doesn't extend that far however, and he often doesn't have a high tolerance for many things. This is linked to his somewhat aggressive demeanor. This aggressiveness leads to other things as well. Such as stealth. Stealth hasn't really been his 'thing'. Even though he's somewhat good at the concept, he prefers fighting rather than sneak. A lack of inept thinking is also a result of this.


Michael often likes to just see what happens, rather than think every single move through. Even if there is a visible plan in front of him formulated by others, Michael only ensures that in the end the result would most likely be the ideal ending. This form of recklessness paired with his aggressiveness when the situation often leads to him being completely oblivious of the negative consequences caused by him. Michael is the type of person who would only think of the positives, unless the consequences are blatantly obvious. Most people he's worked with pointed this fact out, however Michael ignores this, restating anything he's done to help, even if the consequences are far greater. Relentlessness is another trait he has, which he easily turns into a negative trait. Because of this, Michael unintentionally is a destructive person.


Most people never see this side of Michael however, since most people he meets, obviously haven't been with him during his 'adventures'. In normal encounters, as said in the first paragraph, Michael is usually a kind person who would casually tease people with no harm intended.

Hand-to-hand combat - Trained by his father and put into use often out of training, Michael has become quite good at hand-to-hand combat.


Stealth - Trained in stealth, Michael never actually utilizes this skill, and he's a bit 'rusty' as a result of this.


Blade usage - Far better with sharp weapons than with his fists, Michael tends to use small concealable blades such as daggers, machetes, and kukris.
