Other Most Painful Character death

The death reels from V Gundam.

Even the creator himself admitted he was suffering depression during the production of it.

Spoiler ahead if you haven't guessed. In Naruto Shippuden the most painful character death for me was when Granny Chiyo died. Man did I bawl my eyes out during and after that.

I've scrolled to the bottom of this page without reading anything, so i'm not sure if this is already happening, but it should really be suggested that people consider posting their stuff in spoiler sections, and clearly detail what anime they're going to be talking about in their post ABOVE the spoiler......so ppl don't accidentally read a spoiler from a show they're not finished with. ^.^

With that being said, the anime I'll be discussing is Cowboy Bebop, so there's my warning for ppl......don't click my spoiler thingy if you haven't finished Bebop. (:3)(:3)

I haven't watched a new Anime in years, but when I think back the one death that stands out the most to me is Spike Spiegel from Bebop. I cried the first, second, third, forth, and fifth time I watched the last episode, and probably did on the 6th and 7th and 8th and 9th times too (rofl) although I did get to a point to where I didn't ball after the final episode. hehe

I really wish he wouldn't have died......I'm still disappointed at the ending, there could have been another way to end it, but It's still easily one of the best Anime's ever made.

When Gaara died in the Naruto manga/anime. Even though he came back, the whole ordeal really depressed me for a long time.

Hmmm ... Lelouch from Code Geass was mine. I definitely teared up like no other when that happened. Seriously. Tears!

*Clicks on thread out of curiosity*

Dear Lord..

What have I done?

(>:<)(:<)(:'()(TAT)

I'm not sure if this has been said or not, but I'm going to pitch this in anyway. Now, I personally have never cried while watching an anime (Of course I haven't watched a whole lot of anime in general, so go figure) But I felt the saddest during Puella Magi Madoka Magica (Also go figure)

One of my favorite characters was Kyouko Sakura. Sure, she was a huge ass when she was introduced, but I for the most part agreed with her line of thinking (Yes, even about letting loose Familiars become Witches. Sure, I agree that it's immoral, but Sayaka tried to protect everybody and look at where she ended up. It's necessary, even if it's wrong), even if she was being really aggressive about it. As time went on she grew into a character I liked more and more. She grew closer to Sayaka, even if the feeling wasn't mutual (It might've been, I don't remember).

Plus, her weapon is freaking awesome. I mean, look at this thing!

...The pictures I found really don't do it justice, but it's amazing, I assure you.

Wait, this is in a spoiler... Anyone reading this will probably already know what I'm talking about xD

Anyway, moving on... One thing that garnered the most respect out of me towards her was that, after Sayaka transformed into a Witch, Kyouko searched almost desperately for a way to bring her back to normal, even going as far as to bring Madoka along into her labyrinth to try and snap her out of it.

And here's where the death scene comes into play. Having failed to defeat Sayaka's Witch (I can't remember her name) and protect Madoka at the same time, Homura shows up to help the two escape. Kyouko, however, insists on staying behind to finish Sayaka off. Homura agrees and takes Madoka out of the labyrinth, while Kyouko prepares to eliminate Sayaka.

Here's the real touching part. Kyouko, knowing exactly what it feels like to be alone, decides that Sayaka doesn't deserve to die on her own. She prepares a finishing move with her magic, and tosses her own Soul Gem in the way before unleashing it, effectively killing the two of them. The scene just before the two die is what I'm highlighting here, along with Kyouko's last words:

I know, Sayaka... It sucks to be alone; Believe me, I know... But it's okay now. Because I'm here with you... Sayaka.
Kyouko Sakura

Sacrificing herself just so that Sayaka wouldn't have to die on her own, it was the most touching thing Kyouko's ever done, in my opinion. I suppose this is less of a 'Hurt' than it is a Tear Jerker, but it was a depressing moment (Out of many, but still) in the show, watching her kill herself along with her closest friend.

Definitely Lancer in Fate Zero. I'll avoid spoilers but IT HURT. It was a dirty, deceitful death for a character very much concerned with honor. I mean, it stung. Half the deaths from that particular show cut pretty deep but Lancer's did it in for me.

Ok, if we are going into FMA, the little girl and the dog. That was messed up, and i'll admit there may have been manly tears when i saw it a teenager (preteen? dam i feel old, which is daft cause i'm only twenty, i don't even remember when the first time i saw this was...).

I can probably think of a few others, but that tops the list for me, its just sick and twisted and wrong and it yanks at all the heart strings. I mean sure there are lot of characters i like who die brutaly, but most of them die in combat, so i don't really feel that sad. They got to fight back, and most of them stuck it too the other guy or made their death a Pyrrhic victory for the enemy. I hate watching victims die, it sickens me to see the helpless struck down like that.

Has anybody here seen Le Chevalier D'Eon? No? It's just me? (Me and my tastes...)

Anyway, they spent so much time making Durand into a sympathetic character, he really stood out among the ensemble, and then they took him on this downward spiral that went way too fast and I was heartbroken when he died. They really made you think he was going to make it...

I was scrolling down and I was growing frustrated that no one has said Full Metal Alchemist yet but then I saw some replies and I was so satisfied

ANYWAY

Fairy Tail. Simon's death made me cry like a female dog, and when Wendy's old guild Cait Shelter was revealed to actually be nonexistent.

Akame Ga Kill...That show made me so angry after the episodes of Sheele's death. But Sheele's death made me cry the most. But overall that show makes me angry.

Mkay good bye~

Agreed, it's been... what, ten years? since I've seen the old anime, and I'm still sore from that death. It still tears me apart when rewatching Maes' death scene.

Ichimaru Gin was the main reason why I was following Bleach in the first place. And after he died, my interest in Bleach waned to the point that I don't even follow it anymore.

His death was definitely the saddest anime death I've experienced. Especially when you find out his motivation for joining the Shinigami and Aizen in the first place. And going by his face, it was a completely unexpected reason too.

This one. There was a lot of very tragic deaths, but the painful fate of Nina Tucker (that was the name of a girl) hit me hard. Right where it hurts.

God, until Tokyo Ghoul Re: I was torn up all over about my baby child Kaneki. All he wanted was a bookstore date! Why did it all have to go so, so wrong?
And my runner up would be Kaworu in Evangelion 3.0. That poor gay angel boy. He's screwed over the head every time he shows up and I have so many sads for him.

*crawls into a corner, sobbing about centipedes and suitcases and white haired anime boys*
MY GOD, KAWORU JUST

MY HEART, MAN (:'()

Justice for white haired anime boys who's first names start with K

Although if you're going for brutality, there's also Asuka in the End of Evangelion movie and all those lances. Ouch.

But the one that takes the cake and had me sobbing like a two year old child? Goes to this guy.

Ayano from Kagerou daze had me balling in tears, especially after listening to the songs "Lost time Memory" & "Ayano's Theory of Happiness."

MORE LIKE THEORY OF TEARS.

She wasn't even a main character but oh my god, her death gets me.
