Moralee of Darkhold

"Looks can be deceiving."

The Fairy Queen of Darkhold

Long blonde hair, though usually neatly tied into a bun - murky green eyes and fair features, almost deathly pale. Tall for a woman, standing at 6'1 - yet seemingly frail, this effect only enchanced by her unusually bony build.

The people of Darkhold are fond of her - as are even some select few of the Light. Her rule is fair and firm, and her appearances in public barely suggest she would

be the Queen of the Night. Gentle, calm and friendly from the outside, but what lies beneath is far more sinister - a queen worth her title as the bringer of nightmares.

A traitorous woman, who holds no love for anyone but her son, whom she cares for greatly, and perhaps is the only one . Moralee lies and threatens her way to the goals and wishes, and isn't beyond killing, either. Yet that side

is carefully hidden underneath sunny smiles and a charming personality - and she won't let anyone find it, either.

The King of Darkhold was a man to behold. A pillar of strength, though somewhat cruel and brutish, a good leader of his people. His wife - Moralee, a beautiful woman from one of the richer parts of Darkhold - and him were in a pinch, however. She could bear him no children. The King loved her deeply, and wouldn't let her go for the world. Moralee suggested letting another woman bear a child - adoption was too risky, and going without a heir would be an absolute disaster - one similar to her and someone who would know to keep quiet about this affair.

Not two days had gone by when a woman offered herself. She bore a striking similarity to the Queen, down to almost every feature. The couple were quickly charmed by the mystery woman who made them irresistable promises. The deal was made and not nine months later the heir was born.

The woman had insisted the birth to happen in her home, no matter how hard they protested - the royal couple stood outside nervously, disguised as travellers, as the boy was brought to life.

Yet they would never see his face, as the water they drank was laced with lethal poison. Exhausted from birth, yet detemined to finally achieve her goal, she arranged the scene to look like the King had tried to murder his own wife. Moralee's body was disposed of, of course - thrown in a nearby river along with the poison. With the child in hand, she ran back to the castle, teary-eyed and feigning shock. The news of the birth had spread among the people as far as the Queen's story of her maniac husband who had tried to kill her over the assumption the child had not been his. Easy to believe, like predicted; the old fool always had a temper.

Moralee simply thought the crown suited her much better than the other Queen, anyway.

Weapon: Scythe

The weapon of the late King. Rumoured to hoard souls inside of it's skull, but that might just be a silly, old tale.
