"Once upon a midwinter's night..."

Greetings, welcome to the 'Moonlit' interest check and subsequently, an explanation of its voting system. Before participating in this HEART-WRENCHING and IMPECCABLE QUEST, I would ask that you first make yourself familiar with how submitting PROMPTS works.

But... what even IS 'Moonlit?'

'Moonlit' is a QUEST, this means that the actions of its characters are collectively decided by its readerbase. Through submitting PROMPTS, readers may actively participate in shaping the story, though the resulting situations are written and illustrated solely by the AUTHOR. 'Moonlit' also may (or may not) be conceptually inspired by a certain FORUM-HOSTED WEBCOMIC.

And the setting?

'Moonlit' takes place in a vaguely BRITAIN-INFLUENCED FANTASY WORLD, where MAGES cast SPELLS and KNIGHTS rule over CASTLES. This world is DARK, but thankfully somewhat illuminated by its shiny cast of MAIN CHARACTERS. This group of FRIENDS all have a reason for participating in a QUESTIONABLE RITUAL, in order to SUMMON A FAIRY, who is said to grant its summoner any wish they desire.

Now, about the PROMPT system.

Usually, QUESTS seem to operate on a VOTING or MAJORITY basis. Either the readers are given pre-written options, or the most common request wins. We'll be doing something similar.

After each of the AUTHOR'S POSTS, readers may FREELY SUBMIT any PROMPT they wish.

But... what do we do with all these PROMPTS?

Additionally, all readers are encouraged to VOTE with <3 REACTIONS on their FAVOURITE PROMPT.

After a few hours of PROMPTING and VOTING, the MOST POPULAR PROMPT will be automatically selected to help continue the story. In the case of a DRAW or a LACK OF VOTES, the LAW OF PRIMOGENITURE shall be applied. This means that only the EARLIEST-SUBMITTED PROMPT within the draw shall be considered.

Hm? What if there aren't any PROMPTS at all? Well, that's YOUR LOSS, really.

Hope to see you there!!
