My Interest Check

Serenity, a massive coastal city straddling the Serene river. First time visitors can easily find themselves lost in the winding alleyways and tall buildings. Airships come and go all hours of the day and night, as do fishing boats and trading ships on the ocean. The city itself is bustling, quieting to a quiet whisper late at night once trade slows. Traders make their way to and from both sea and airdocks, some stopping to set up their stalls for the day.

Delivery people rush to and fro, carrying armloads of deliveries or pushing carts piled high with parcels and packages. Lawmen patrolled the streets, keeping sharp eyes out for any crime or dangers to the city, brushing shoulders with adventurers making their way through the streets. Artisans send out orders for supplies while taking calls from clients.

All manner of people live and pass through here, from those who uphold the law to those who break it and everyone in between. Outside of the main Lawman’s headquarters is a large board, covered in various sheets of paper. There’s bounties out for criminals and problematic creatures that have been attacking travellers on the roads between the towns and cities, for people, pets and items that were stolen or lost.

People wanting deliveries or escorts from settlement to settlement were also quite commonly posted here. A contact name and number was provided for the interested parties. Adventurers were a common sight here, relying on these boards posted in towns and cities cross Ostea for their livelihood. The city marketplace is nearby, roads branching from the square and winding through the city, businesses and homes lining either side.

There’s currently no bounties available, but for the interested there’s some other fliers pinned to the board currently. There’s some delivery requests, one escort request and several aggressive animal warnings. Your group have been chatting amongst yourselves, deciding that working together for a common goal was a good idea. Who had been the first to voice it? No one was really sure, but everyone agreed.

Your adventure is about to begin, time to decide what you'll all be doing and where you'll be going!

((Well, hopefully, this works.))

There were too many people around. Packed almost shoulder to shoulder, Razia just knew she was going to hit one of them in the face and have to apologize profusely. No one was in a good mood standing in the sun looking at scraps of paper for a job. It was always this way around the quest board, but without a potential delivery, this was where she had to go. Thankfully unlike some, her fauni eyes let her scan from the back, so there were fewer to complain about not seeing around her wings.

There were some requests, and delivery seemed to be the most prevalent, but it was the aggressive animal warnings that caught her eye. Uh oh. One of them flew. She might have to, but she did not want to test her speed against it. What to do? She looked around at the crowd. She stared for a bit before her ears caught murmurs of a group forming. Sure, they weren’t concrete, but Razia was perfectly willing to give everyone the push.

Are you guys forming up? Smart.” She complimented, "Can I get in? We can manage a couple of deliveries with that escort if we stop on the way. What do ya say? Even split?" She gave an easy smile, brushing a braid out from her face.

The eyes of the Thori'dal were sunken and distant as his feet guide him through the sea of ever-moving folks of all kinds. The journey across the great desert and around the ruins was taxing to the soul but an indescribable feeling resides within the tall elf chimes them that, this is only the beginning.

Serenity is the most alive city he has ever seen. Everywhere he looks he could see all kinds of activity and all kinds of life. The people are as diverse as the side stall trades stridently being advertised. From the casual Dan'ir to assumingly few constructs following directed paths. Novero's face is wincing as he brushes shoulders with the people of serenity. As if the sound of the overlapping voices and vehicles rushing about. The airships overhead do take attention from the newcomers such as him.

After a long journey of striding the homogeneous roads and buildings, he has by luck found the large board he was guided to by the locals. Serenity may have many moving folks that are rushing by to take a good look at how they look like. Novero knows an adventurer when he sees one. Gathered and standing about over the board, gazing and taking papers on the huge board. Like a moth to a flame, he waltzes over to the board as well.

Many, many tasks and requests. It was everything his old mentor had said before. The overwhelming feeling in his bosom was still present but he had to take a pick. The first thing to notice was the lack of bounties. Either it is posted somewhere else or all were taken. Either way, he was not confident to face such challenges just yet. It didn't take long for the Thori'dal to look over his shoulder to hear what seems to be a winged Fauni woman coming his way. Greeting what she refers to as a group given there were others with him too. He did not express a disassociation with the Fauni nor the others with him, based on his judgment, this looked fine-tuned. The muscled Thori'dal clears his throat and made his presence known. "I can help. But - I think we should just focus on the escort alone." Despite his size, his voice is warmly relaxed.
