Daily posting (or as close as we can get) - not interested in constant excuses. Check your subscriptions. Commit a little. I am looking for a writer with good skills, and not expecting to be heavily sidetracked by RL stuff like school. If you don't honestly have the time, do not apply. I do realize that daily is probably not possible. Schedules alone will likely get in the way. I work a very odd schedule. Some days I have a ton of time. Some I am lucky to get an hour or two. If a reply gets to me too late, I won’t be able to start on a reply until the next day. Such is life. But weekly posting … I will get bored in a post or two.

Also, please don't just reply with "interested".

I am not a grammar or spelling Nazi. I do, however, prefer third person, past tense as most books are written.

No animated Gifs (unless hidden in spoilers).

Be 18+. The characters are a different matter. However, the 3 I’s need to be observed. Their interaction should not be illegal, immoral or indecent. In other words, I am not going to run an arranged marriage between a 50 year old man and a 13 year old girl.

I normally play male roles in an MxF. But I can reverse that. I do NOT do FxF or MxM (at least not for my main characters).

Likes and Dislikes
I detest most fandoms. (This is largely because I haven’t had a TV to watch in a couple decades. I’m a little anachronistic.)
I detest zombies, most vampires, lycans, (element) bending.

I tend to avoid darker scenarios. Real life has enough of that. (Lately I have been trying to branch out a bit on this, so … if you have an idea, let me know. But I have a number of triggers that I avoid.)
I enjoy romances. Usually they should not be the entire focus of the RP. I do, however, enjoy some that romance is the whole point, such as arranged marriages.
I love sci fi.
I love apocalypses, post apocalypses, colonization.
I love anachronisms. Things and people out of their time or place. So things like time travel, cryogenic suspension and the like are a good start.
I like historical or AU. (AU needs to make a lot of sense or I’ll get a knee jerk reaction of NO.
I prefer to avoid most combat in RP’s.

Some ideas:

World building. I don’t mean literally building a planet. And I prefer to focus on one character. But a post apocalypse where the characters are trying to restart civilization is good. Being marooned for various reasons is good. One scenario is on an island where the economy has all but crashed and everyone is struggling. Then new money - a casino - comes in to buy everyone out for a meager sum, but better than nothing. Half the town is fighting to preserve their culture. Half is desperate enough to bail. But the casino wants it all and needs a 100% response.

Life or World changing events. I had a lottery winner RP. Another is the arrival of aliens. One scenario I liked was the Wet Firecracker War in which WWIII was a failure as every nuke failed to actually blow up. The nukes just look like giant flares. However, the reason was the mystery.

High School settings. I enjoy playing the new kid at a high school. I have all sorts of scenarios for this. Area 53 is a sci-fi setting where an alien crew crash lands on Earth and their lifepod is taken by the military. The kids are military brats or children of civilian contractors and will be recruited by the aliens to help recover their ship. I have a few slice of life settings as well. I have a few Twilight Zone scenarios as well. Zeroed is a strange plot in which two teens are living a sort of Groundhog Day life.

Time travel historic settings are also something I enjoy. Time Enough has a pair of college age that travel in time to avoid an Apocalypse living out their life in the past.

Good rules of thumb: If it wouldn’t make for a good movie or TV show, it isn’t going to be something I enjoy.

Just a small sampling of specific plots. But I am open to lots of other ideas.

MxF
King Before His Time I - a teenage boy from the 21st century finds himself an alternate universe where the world is still in the Classic to Middle Ages, but humanity has spread over the entire planet. There is an America without a history of being part of England - though they share the language. Its political structure is a monarchy. Within a few years the boy finds himself on the throne as the King of America. But to secure his throne he must unite his people, find a queen, and gain an heir.

King Before His Time II - same plot except the old King still lives.

Alt of Usurper - Solo

Concrete Cowboy - a teenage boy from Albuquerque is adopted by a tough as nails lady detective. To get him away from the violence of his past she moves back to Kalispel, MT where her father was the Sheriff. She takes on the job of Acting Sheriff. The boy soon discovers that country kids can be every bit and mean and ornery as city kids in their own way.
