Mining simply put is for the use of gathering materials such as: Ores, gems, and rocks.


All you have to do is find a mining site or cave and start smashing rocks until you find what you are looking for.


Rocks are the easiest to get as there is 100% chance of getting them.


Ores such as iron and copper have a 80% chance of being acquired


Gold and silver have a 60% chance


Mithril has a 40% chance


Adamant has a 20% chance


Rune has a 10% chance

For any gems there is only a 5% chance that you will get one and it is random on which one you will find
​

To increase your chance of finding the material you are looking for you have to find a location that designates that material to the location.
​

Special pick axes can affect how much you get and what you find.


Other such material like clay or coal can also be found in certain locations and have the same drop chance as rocks

Update

Platinum can now be mined at a 30% chance

Platinum is mainly used in jewelcrafting but also can be used in making weapons and armor

Platinum can only be mined in mines found in the Outlands

Mines in the Outlands have a 15% higher chance to having gems mined​

All mines have between 10 and 20 ore deposits that drop 4 ores each

There is a 5% chance that there will be a large deposit which drops 8 ores and has a 20% increase to which ore you will find​

Update: Ebony can be mined in a mine only found in the surrounding area of The Forbidden City of the Fallen with a 80% chance of being acquired

Update: Bloodsteel

Bloodsteel is a metal more strong than any metal found but is also extremely heavy. As such any weapons or armor forged with this metal requires a certain amount of strength to be used. It can only be found on Draconian Island in the caves high up in the hills.

There is a 40% chance of acquiring it when mining
