Booker, Rhys and Hunter together collectively pull open the shutter doors. They make a ear-shriveling creak as they are forced open, it slides open after the main brunt of the lock was shattered.
The door would open to reveal that the outside of the truck was nothing but thick grey mist, visibility was no further than 7 meters ahead. The only things that could be seen through the fog would be the old street lamps that lit the road.

Stepping out of the truck would leave you in no immediate danger, walking around to the front of the truck would reveal that there is a massive dent in the front of the vehicle, the front roof of the truck was also crushed in several places, like something or someone had been smashing the roof of the truck. Looking inside the truck would indicate that the drivers had gotten out of the vehicle.
A trail of blood was dragged along the floor from the driver seat, all the way into the trees.

If you looked down the road you would see the bright, beaming spotlights of the city far down the road in the distance. Like a beacon in the dark, the city would show promise of a new beginning. You see movement of a tall black figure down the road too. It appears to be running and it's loud breaths echo back towards the group as it runs to the light. A loud roar can be heard and soon after an even bigger figure runs from the treeline ahead and charges the other figure into the treeline.

A deep, blood-curdling scream is heard.

Plans, anyone...?

Alexandria
Alexandria heard the blood curdling roars, having slowly crawled out of the truck and looking towards the trees. She used her animalistic legs to help her grab the edge of the top of the truck, and pulled herself up. Once there, she flattened herself on top of the truck, keeping quiet. The Braixen wasn't much of a fighter without anything to fight with, but her experience may be of some use here.

She looked at the treeline, and the trail of blood and where it lead....That scream must be the driver. She felt herself clam up, and knew that they were in the middle of some monster's territory. They had to get out or be food, and she didn't plan on dying today.

"We're in the middle of their turf! We have to be! I can see the buildings!"

She hissed quietly, and then stayed there. While it wouldn't help her find a weapon, she remembered how pokemon could evade her with their vision and hearing, which was better than that of humans. Alexandria figured that she'd be a better scout.

"I'm gonna stay up here, and let you know if they're coming!"

Claudette stepped out of the wreckage, arms shielding herself from the incoming fog. Her eyes widened, this was familiar, all too familiar. The fog. Screams in the night. An endless ominous forest. She cradled her arms as the cold wind buffeted her form, plumes of air escaping her lips. Looking back, she saw people stepping out of the vehicle. Some scared, some searching, but none dare venture out into the forest. She closed her eyes momentarily, slowly slipping away into the deep chasm of the forest, keenly aware of even the slightest sound or movement in front of her.

Hunter

Hunter looked out into the cold dark woods, and listened to the dark roars in the distance and fear gribbed in its temporary but then a cold calm came over her and her mind become rational thought and she looked forward into the distant lights of the city.

"I don't think we should go into the woods, not with those beasts running around," she said to Vincent, just as someone headed into the woods. "or we can be idiots and head into where the roars are coming from, sure, do that!"

She looked forward and started to go to the front of the truck, checking it for any weapons that might have been left behind before starting to walk toward the distant city, preparing to sprint if nesscary.

Alexandria
Alexandria looked over to see a woman heading to the forest, and crawled off. She gave the other woman, who decided to raise her voice and announce to the monsters that dinner is served, a mean look. Then the braixen padded over to Claudette, waving once she was close enough to try to silently get the woman's attention, and crouched down to lessen her profile. The Braixen then pointed to the blood trail, silently asking if they should follow it.

Overall, this was more dangerous than staying behind....but Alexandria felt her rescue team training kick in, and felt she had to help claudette.

"Time to move, kiddos. We have a city to enter." Rhys said as he hopped out of the back of the truck and tried utilizing the palm portion of his mechanical arm as a flashlight to see at least a bit of the roadway "Does anyone know how much distance left until we reach the city entrance?" He asked as he prepared to use his arm as a flashlight without any success.

Master Chief exited the vehicle, his suit saving him from the change in temperature. As he walked to the front of the truck he saw the damage, yep, something had hit the truck. the drivers also were missing with a blood trail indicating they were taken into the woods, shame, though there was no point in looking for dead bodies. “Regroup at the front. Follow the road to the city.” Master Chief more or less suggested to the group, “That figure, whatever it is, can’t fight all of us.” He mainly meant himself, but with extra help it should t be too challenging.

“Theres no point going into the woods and looking for dead men. We either all survive and make it to the city. I suggest also staying as a group, no point putting ourselves at a disadvantage for no good reason.” Master chief had devised his plan, hopefully the group was smart enough to follow along.

Cayde sighed, shaking his head. They were just as lost as confused as he was... figures. "Well, that's just great." He muttered, getting back to his feet. An older man in a jacket had woken up and was currently searching for any faults in the hold, anything that may lead to escape.

He was out of luck, though, because Cayde could already tell that there wasn't a single one through a brief scan of the area. He'd been both a Hunter and Guardian for a really long time, so it was easy to tell.

"Good luck with that," Cayde told him, taking another look around the area. "As far as I can tell, there ain't a single one."

The sound of metal sliding open caught his attention, and he turned around to see quite possibly the ugliest face he'd seen since the Scorned peering through a slit through the driver's cabin. The alien had a growl to meet a Cabal's.

His words made Cayde raise a brow, however. "Am I missing something here, or did I hear you say that you're taking us to the City?" He asked. "As in the Last City? You know, place with all the Guardians and last refuge of humanity? Yeah, because if we are, then I don't mind one bit."

Of course, he was pretty sure that old scaly here was lying, pretty obviously at that. Playing dumb could get him a few advantages, though.

The older man seemed to think the same, much to the annoyance of the lizard alien. With a few more irritated words, the latch slid shut once more.

"Well then," Cayde shrugged, turning to the man and his current companions. By this time more of them were waking up, all looking confused and all that. He decided that now was probably a good time to introduce himself. "The name's Cayde, Hunter Vanguard, and all-time awesome guy."

No sooner had the words left his mouth when the truck suddenly lurched, crashing into something. Cayde was immediately thrown off his feet and smashed into the opposite wall. "OW! Cotton socks!" He cried in pain, rubbing his face. "I've had worse. Really."

He got back to his feet, shaking his head. A thick fog was seeping into the hold from broken shutters at the back. Several other guys were breaking it open, including a man with a robot arm and another one wearing a vest. They got it open after a moment of struggling.

It opened up to reveal the outside, a forest shrouded in a thick, foggy soup, with streetlights dimly shining through the mist. Further beyond were the bright spotlights of a city, shining like a beacon in the dark.

It was a city, but definitely not the City.

"Well, that's creepy..." Cayde muttered, hopping out of the truck. "It's like the Haunted Forest all over again."

He instinctively reached for the Ace, only to remember that it was missing. "Right... keep forgetting about that."

Cayde turned to the guys who had opened the shutters. "I don't know about you guys, but I've got a pretty bad feeling about this."

Seems like it belonged to Jackson.

Claudette swirled her head toward Alexandria, cocking a brow at the humanoid fox... thing. She's seen weird shit in the Entity's Realm, but never a walking fox. "Uhm..." She stepped toward it once, before they came across a wallet, a CD, a bloodied beanie. Goosebumps began to swell on her skin as she bent over, swiping the CD. "This may prove useful," before prying open the wallet, snatching the last remaining dollars inside. Why? Because something 13% doing 52% of something. Claudette eyed Alexandria, "Hey girl..." She picked up the bloody beanie, holding it up to the Pokemon's nose, "... Find the scent."

"What the f- I'm a fox, not a blood hound! I can't do that..."

Alexandria whispered as she eyed the beanie. She gave it a sniff, but she really didn't know what else to do. It just kinda smelled like the driver, blood, and that's about it.

"You happy?"

She asked, looking around a little scaredly and trying to make sure that they didn't get jumped by whatever killed the driver.

Handsome Jack
Jack watched as the group opened the door. He stepped out with the rest and before he could speak up it seemed like everyone else already had a plan. Jack's own plan was to stick with the group. Whatever murdered the drivers was still out there and if they stayed together they could either kill the thing or frighten it away. Unless it was bandits. If it was bandits and everyone was unarmed they were already dead.

So Jack stood quietly waiting for the group to start moving. 'God I hope there's not bandits on whatever rock we're on,' Jack thought as he sighed.

Claudette staggered back, "I must be dreaming," she muttered, shaking her head as Alexandria spoke. She gripped the bloody beanie and pocketed the CD before looking around, "Nevermind. Sorry, I thought you were..." She paused, "... A dog." Another pause, "I'm not sure where we are, but... let's hope we don't end up like that guy. Stay close."

As Claudette holds the beanie over to Alexandria's nose she feels a droplet of rain on her head...
Alexandria would also notice from smelling the beanie that she could somewhat track the scent.

It was a scent that would prove to be fairly easy to track for both human and fox-species a-like.
Wiping her head would reveal that it wasn't rain falling on Claudette's head, but the blood of Jackson!
He was slung over a branch of the tree above, like an ornament!

Heavy breathing appears from seemingly no-where as a large muscular brute steps out of the shadows, approaching the duo...
The blood puddle is seemingly drawn to the large brute, and absorbed by its body...

Alexandria yelled, bouncing to her feet and scurrying off. She didn't go too far, yet. She figured she was faster than this thing (since it had to chase down injured prey), and moved to the side of a tree's trunk. She figured that even if it could go through the tree, the obstacle would slow it down. In the meantime, she looked for anything big, a rock or a branch, or something she could use to slow it down if they couldn't outrun it.

"Of course!" Hunter muttered as she walked toward the city. "You guys coming or not? Be prepared to run! You have no idea what is out there!" she says this with a tone that suggests that she is not just talking about normal animals. With that, she walks into the fog.

Just as Radec gets out of the truck, he finds nothing but fog and a extremely loud roar coming from the distance. That meant whomever around the area had to move soon.

Radec searches for anything worth using to fight with before walking into the fog near the city.

"...Coming."

"Run."

Claudette dashed behind her into the vast expanse of the forest, the fog clouding her vision as the cold wind ran across her skin. She huffed deeply, eyes trailing behind her as three ominous red eyes burned brightly in the night. Internally, she hoped her little fox friend escaped from the creature. Looking forward, she could see the vast expanse of a neon-lit city miles in the distance. Keep on going Claudette, the African Canadian screamed at herself, her legs burning as she ran, feet trampling dead leaves and branches as she disappeared into the distance.

The Oni roared violently as it's gaze fixed on Alexandria, unsheathing a massive kanabo from it's back, as it's eyes glowed a malevolent red. Out of nowhere, the demon burst forward at breakneck speeds at the Pokemon. It's howls lit up the night, as Alexandria leapt to the right, pirouetting in the air next to a tree trunk. It's giant form smashed into the wooden foundation, sending thousands of splinters into the sky. A loud creaking sound could be heard as the tree came tumbling down, end-over-end, crashing into the ground below.

Reeling back, the monster readjusted it's aim, beady eyes scanning the perimeter for Alexandria.

Nothing.

It roared in anguish, before blitzing toward the vehicle.

... It's form skyrocketing out of the forest, toward Hunter.

The braixen felt shivers run down her body as she avoided the monster, and she dusted herself off as she got back to her senses. She dashed back to the corpse area, and nabbed the beanie. If Claudette could be a.....klepto, yeah, klepto, so could she. Alexandria ran to the edge of the forest, and used the edge of the forest to keep cover as she went towards the city.
She hoped that the woman was okay, but for now she had to focus on herself, as she scurried about, the bloodied beanie on the top of her head now.

Hunter ran in a straight line. A mistake. The Oni, with it's inhuman speed and durability, caught up to Hunter despite her peak running speed. She felt a hot white pain sear throughout her back as a massive kanabo smashed straight into her shoulder blade. A loud 'crack!' resounded in the air, nearly dislocating your arm. The pain was extreme, as your arm slung limply to the side. The monster raised it's kanabo in the air once more before -- a low, inhumane moan erupted from it's chest, lowering it's weapon momentarily. It seemed to be in a "cooldown" of sorts, giving you enough time to run faaaaar away from the monster.

Rhys could hear a faint growl coming from the forest area and squinted his eyes as the growling got louder as the business man knew something was coming their way "You all hear that as well or is it just me?" he turned to the others who where near the truck as he addressed them but knowing that he and the others couldn't attack what was coming with out any weapons, only option left was to run and of course would be the only way. Hunter screams in pain and relative agony as she stumbles a bit but she realizes her mistake. She sprints further away, now running zigzags to make the monster more confused while holding onto her shoulder. She would have chosen that moment to shoot behind her. But she had no gun. She was able to ignore the pain as she tried to avoid the Oni. Despite her involuntarilly gasp of pain earlier. But the good news: she is not a Mary Sue!

Master Chief caught eye of the beast that seemed to have been drawn to the group by the people who walked into the forest. Great, welp, it’s fighting time. Master Chief cracked his neck and his knuckles as he walked over to the warrior looking monster. He has beaten greater foes then this, even without his armour fully functioning or even some weapons, he decided to take the challenge.

The monster was preoccupied with another, less physically fit, member of the group as Master Chief came up from behind the monster and threw a heavy punch right where it’s spine should be.
