Bang watched as a few of the teams progressed. Some had decided to split apart; others continued working together. Each team had a different dynamic - and he was ready to see what the rest of the class had to offer. The old man had to give it to his pupil; she had set up quite an interesting task for the students. Bang was more hands-on so the approach was something that he could not masterfully pull off. It took grace as well as many hours of planning for Izanami to properly push her idea to fruition.

He smiled as he watched Jasmine perform, she was proving to be quite resourceful. Although the old man did not remember her name properly, he would take a mental note to keep a keen eye on her as the challenge continued. Felix had been caught by a trap and eliminated, but Katharine, as well as Arietty, continued pushing forward with resolve. They did not turn to find him, though their actions moving forward would see what the two were primarily focused on. Jono had lost all of his items to a trap which he should have been more careful around. This surprised Bang and the teen would continue to surprise Bang when he displayed the reaction to this event.

One-Punch Man - 07 - Large 13.jpg

“The kid can act like a hero, but he doesn’t have the powers to be one.”

He crossed his arms together as he continued watching. Johanna got stumped and Jono picked her up after tossing one of his capsules in attempts to stir the trap. This only further validated his claim. The next screen showed Arietty lifting up Katharine to the point where she would get more visibility; a brilliant and resourceful move in its own right. Bang came to a realization as he continued looking through the screens that each drone had provided for the two; many students had already been eliminated, lost or trapped. Izanami had yet to be seen on one of those drones.

At this point, it was fair to say that Izanami was doing a fine job of working from the shadows. Was she picking off at the weakest members of each team in hopes that some would notice? She had been quite successful in a number of cases - undoubtedly forcing the children of these teams to stick even closer together in hopes to pass the challenge with a helping hand. Most had to have come to the conclusion that it would take either outsmarting Bang or out-banging Bang in order to successfully get to Panko. This would come easier in numbers as opposed to a solo attempt.

“How did I get the short end of the stick?” He put one of those wrinkly hands up to his forehead while letting out a loud, sarcastic laugh.

“Here you are with the best job in the world; barely any preparatory work, none of the heavy lifting. You just sit in that chair without a worry in the world!” The old man teased, taking another sip of his tea. Must be nice to get off with the easiest job of the bunch, though Bang admittedly had no friggin’ idea how her drones with cameras worked. As far as he was concerned, it was all bibbidi-bobbidi-boo.

Jasmine Setsuki (Team Two)

5b658c48796ebaf175c479981ce1b8bf.jpg

Probably not.

That was Jasmine’s mental conclusion to the question she voiced aloud as she continued to study the large trap covered in some sort of oil. Walking along the perimeter of the enclosure, she eventually spotted Yuuta beside it.

“Yuuta! Are you hurt?” Jasmine paused as she took the time to survey her teammate. She looked from Yuu, to the wooden fence, back to the green haired boy. Either he evaded the trap or he managed to climb out on his own. Whichever the case, she was relieved he didn’t seem injured. Losing a member of their team this early in the exam was bound lose them some points. More importantly, it would make completing the exam that much more difficult. “We were worried when we saw the enclosure emerge in your direction. There seems to be a lot of dangerous traps in the forest.”

The one that had incapacitated her mandrake was one of them. Or, at least, she assumed it was the trap that did it and not anything else.

Taking a seat on a particularly large tree root, Jasmine unzipped her backpack and pulled out her CO2 inhaler. She decided that she should prioritize resting and recovering her vitality for now. Even if they could make their way to Bang’s location, she wouldn’t be much use if she couldn’t make a mandrake.

Besides, they needed to know where Yuuta had set his traps for the plan to succeed. Rushing through without thinking certainly wasn’t going to get them anywhere. The plan was going smoothly so far. Her mandrake had supposedly found Bang before it died. It had drawn for them a map to follow. The only thing left to do, once Yuuta finished setting his wires, was to follow it while avoiding any obstacles they encountered along the way.

Not much else to go on.

Jasmine brought the inhaler to her lips. She was on her third puff when she noticed it. A…disgusting…scent. There was no other way to describe it.

Removing the inhaler, Jasmine glanced around her, trying to discern where the smell could be coming from. "...Do you guys smell something odd?"

Akane - Team Two

Akane silently watched on as Jasmine gave the mandrake a task to complete. He gave the pile of leaves a suspicious look but didn't say anything about it, opting to begin walking in the direction of the large enclosure. His fists remained clenched at his sides and his eyes retained their glowing lilac color as he moved through the forest with Jasmine right behind him. He always did enjoy the forest, some of its animals not so much but it did manage to relax him especially with the cool wind. It, however, only made him tense now. All the trees and bushes made it easier for them to get ambushed. He knew they probably wouldn't get ambushed by mister Bang but there was no telling what other creatures were lurking around, ready to make this test even more difficult. He briefly glanced back at Jasmine, seeing the green haired girl drawing a picture of what he assumed was the path they were taking. When Jasmine finally spoke, he nodded and started paying more attention to the floor.

"Depends on how thick it is. There is also the water of the oil all over it." He said, assessing the wall before beginning to walk around it in search of a potential weak spot only to be interrupted by the sight of Yuuta sitting next to the trap looking unharmed. He walked over quickly, right behind Jasmine.

"Yeah, are you?" He asked, crouching beside the other male while looking at him. Trying to see if he had any injuries he didn't see from further away. The male seemed to be fine so he turned his attention, Jasmine. Taking note of the inhaler before catching a whiff of a disgusting smell that Jasmine pointed out a few moments later. Immediately, Akane covered his mouth with his shirt, worried that this could be another trap set up by the teachers.

When Yuuta finally recovered from what had previously happened to him, he decided that he should continue moving and search for his teammates, or at least, any other student or a teacher who doesn't seem to be playing a villain role in this training. Standing up, his expression became brighter as he saw his teammates, Jasmine and Akane, found him right where he was. Well, he should be finding them, but they found him first. He was a little happy that his decision to wait for someone to show up by staying in this large wooden-fenced trap while recovering was proved to be a good judgment in his part.

"Jasmine! Akane!" He happily said. "I wasn't hurt, but I almost died. Earlier I- nevermind. Anyway, I'm glad that you guys were okay. It wasn't fun getting lost and traveling on a straight direction hoping to somehow reconnect with someone." He awkwardly smiled, but he stopped talking since he knew this wasn't a good time to be chatting. They still have an objective.

Yuuta scanned the forest, practically searching for any useful landmarks or anything. Of course, because of how deep this forest was, he wasn't noticing anything unusual. Well, that is, until Jasmine said something about a foul scent that she smelled. "What scent-" He spoke before sniffing the air, but his words were cut off as he noticed that there was an unusual scent lingering on the forest. He covered his mouth with his one hand, and spoke in a muffled tone.

"I don't know, but the air smells like rotten meat."
Yuuta stated. "The teachers really are stepping up this training to make this hostage rescue scene more realistic."

GM-----Shclamn -------- DarkSide/ShadowStrike Post

A blonde haired figure stood a few meters from the group of students that comprised team 2. They must have been so caught up in their activities that his presence wasn't detected. Well, except for the stench that he emitted but that seemed to be the case for anyone in the entire forest at this point. His smell was already disgustingly strong, but the wind also carried the smell.

The figure sighed gently before its arms turned into slimy green tentacles that waved about. "I'm not supposed to kill them, just draw ShadowStrike out. But it can't be helped if it was an accident." With a swing of his right arm, a ball of sludge came from his body and flew through the air at an immense speed. It was aimed at Jasmine and came at such a velocity that a normal person wouldn't be able to dodge, let alone someone unsuspecting.

From the woods, a metal disc broke through the air at a high speed, making a whizzing sound as it came in on its side (like a buzzsaw) blocking the ball of sludge, and then finding itself stuck in a tree a few meters in the distance. Two kunai came flying from what seemed to be thin air, landing in the figures right and left shoulder blades. From above, Dark side landed on the ground between the figure and the students, not far from the trio. She was now wearing just a navy blue sports bra, navy blue leggings, and navy blue jika-tabi. Her git up revealed many of the scars that were across her body (along with the tattoo of Oda in Kanji on her upper back) , but there was something different about her.

Her hair was tied into a pony-tail by a red ribbon. She had removed those false-colored contacts, as black smoke came from her hands, showing off the true blue eye color that came with her quirk instead of that weird color under the brown contacts. She had shed the image of Dark Side and returned to her normal persona as ShadowStrike. The lead investigator of her case would have to just suck it up, she needed to be her full self in order to protect her students.

She glanced around, trying to take in her surroundings. She was at a disadvantage. She knew nothing about the villain before her, she didn't even know if he was alone. To make matters worse, she had to think about the student's safety above all. She took up a defensive stance as she watched the man move one of his tentacles to a kunai, and remove it from his shoulder blade looking it over, before dropping it. The other fell out of his shoulder on its own, neither appearing to do any damage. An empty and evil smile came across his face as he glanced to Izanami. It was the smile of someone who took joy in killing, the true smile of a murderer.

The smile chills down her spine. No matter how many times she saw it, she never got used to it. She heard a drip, and glanced over to where her blade had found itself in a tree. Whatever the sludge was he threw, had slid off the disc and on to the grass below causing the area it fell on to immediately turn black and 'rot'. She glanced back to the man before her as she tried to devise a plan of action.

At the very least, his quirk allowed him to throw some sort of goo that caused what seemed like necrosis, since it seemed similar to the venom of a brown recluse. He didn't take any damage from her piercing weapons, and he only started smiling when she arrived. At the very least, she could assume the students weren't the targets, but they clearly weren't above using the students against them. She wasn't sure if he was alone, so she couldn't tell the students she was with to run. She'd have to protect them.

She sniffed the air, trying to see if she could pinpoint the type of smell. It smelled toxic, but it didn't smell like venom, just like a decomposing corpse. It was a strong scent, if she hadn't trained to not let her heightened senses to be overstimulated, she'd probably struggle more with it. She'd have to hope Johanna wasn't close enough, or the wolf girl might not be so lucky.

She glanced behind her.

Team 2. Akane. Yuuta. Jasmine. That were their first names. Akane and Yuuta had faced her in the tests the first day. Akane's quirk would be usless in this situation, it required hands to hand and from the looks of it, that was a no go. Yuuta on the other hand, even if it wasn't useful for combat right now, he had the best chance to escape. She hadn't gotten to test Jasmine, so she didn't know her usefulness in combat by herself, but if she could muster up a mandrake, maybe that'd help. Ok. That's how she was going to handle this.

She brought her left wrist where a watch was to her mouth,"Amenouta-sama, we're facing a direct attack by villains. Please develop an escape strategy for the students. As you probably can see, I'm currently protecting Team 2 and I'm not sure how many villains are here. Bang-dono, if there are more villains I need you to find Jono and Johanna and get them to safety."

She lowered the watch and took in a deep breath, that black smoke still floating around her hands,"Tsukino-san, stay behind me, Setsuki-san, you too but if you can please create one of your monsters that are best suited for midrange combat. Shimiru-san, this is going to be a little dangerous, but I need you to use your wires and set a perimeter around us. "

Jasmine Setsuki (Team Two)

5b658c48796ebaf175c479981ce1b8bf.jpg

Jasmine blinked as a metal disc slammed into a tree. Then, suddenly, Kazuma-sensei was between them and a blonde stranger, though she was dressed differently than usual. Not that Jasmine really knew what the usual of her teacher was since it was only her first day of class. Therefore, it didn’t really surprise her to see Kazuma-sensei looking more ninja-like. She’d already deduced as much, after all.

Instead, Jasmine’s eyes were on the green sludge dripping from the metal disc and onto the grass. Some sort of organic destroying substance? She frowned. There was no way to know exactly what it did without a thorough analysis, though it was easy enough to conclude what would’ve happened if it had landed on her skin.

Her gaze flickered over to the man with the malevolent grin. Definitely a killer. Here during an exam? Why? She looked from Kazuma-sensei to the villain before nodding, getting to her feet, and taking a step back with her backpack. Not too far from the teacher, but not too close either. Letting the older woman’s form shield her, Jasmine found a sample of her mother’s hair within the school pack and bit into it, quickly swallowing the leaf. Almost instantly, a bud-like flower grew from her head and spat out a seed onto the ground in front of her. Jasmine took a breath. If she didn’t have enough vitality her body wouldn’t be able to produce enough plant growth pheromones for her to breathe out. Still she had to try. It was an emergency situation. Besides, she’d gotten enough time to recover.

Blowing pink dust onto the seed, Jasmine watched as her currently strongest mandrake emerged.

1533512328349.png

It was strong enough to fight off the robots at the U.A. entrance exam. However, a villain was a different matter altogether. Least of all, one whose body could seemingly produce bio-degrading substances.

Wild, thick, vine hair waving about, it stood silently, yet protectively in front of her. Some of her mandrakes could speak. Some couldn’t. Yet they all shared a single instinct. That was to keep their creator, their vitality source, safe.

“She can extend her vines for mid-ranged combat,” Jasmine replied. “Though I’m not sure how much help she’d be in this situation…”

Every part of her mandrake was organic. And, given that the enemy didn’t seem bothered by kunais sticking from its shoulder blades, Jasmine guessed his goey quirk made him impervious to physical attacks as well. Interesting. If it weren’t a dire situation, she’d want a sample of his hair to see what sort of mandrake she could produce. Though, since the quirk seemed antagonistic towards organic matter, it was just as likely to create a big mess.

For now, Jasmine simply kept her eyes on the enemy. Running now could put her, her classmates, and even her teacher at risk if it drew the villain’s attention. Of course, staying was a risk as well, especially if they were used as hostages. Be wary of her surroundings. Look for opportunities. That was the only thing she could do at the moment.

Ren Hirogami (Blackjack)

25fbcacf313fc8eba494e4cb84fde6d0--art-drawings-anime-guys.jpg

Ren rolled his eyes as he watched Miroslav aim a sludge ball at one of the students from atop a nearby tree. The guy wasn’t a good assassin, but he at least had enough brains to know how to draw out the teacher. Ren accepted the order out of curiosity and boredom. Nothing more. Very nearly refused, in fact. He didn’t do well with people telling him what to do. Least of all someone he didn’t really respect. Requests for help from fellow villains with a plan maybe. Or something that sounded entertaining. Killing a teacher from one of the top hero schools of Japan for no substantial reason other than Mugetsu’s bloodlust didn’t sound very fun.

Even assassins at least get paid for their work.

If it weren’t for the old man, he probably wouldn’t even be here.

Senses enhanced, excepted his sense of smell, which had been desensitized because of his fellow villain’s scent, Ren directed his gaze to the target. Even with her being invisible, his enhanced hearing had been able to pick up her footsteps even as light as they were. It was Schlamn’s job to do the killing. Given the guy’s quirk all he had to do was touch the target long enough and the mission was accomplished. Ren’s job was simply to keep lookout and distract the teachers if necessary.

And to keep an eye on the idiotic sludge.

Hopefully Miss Sparky-Hands was doing something useful like short-circuiting all the drones he’d noticed in the forest. He could hear ShadowStrike communicating with her fellow teachers as well. Would be nice if she could create an electrical interference to disable communication devices as well. Alas, that was probably asking for too much. He was already glad it was her he would be working with and not psychotic Obake-chan. Craziness aside, Karin was cuter.

“Playing around is nice and all, but it’s better to finish the job before reinforcement arrives.”

Smashing another drone he’d found among the trees with a metal pole, Ren’s attention dropped back down towards students. His eyes landed on Akane, blinking a moment, before his grin widened. So the kid went to Shikatsu. Who knew? Looking away, Ren’s gaze flickered to the plant-thing a girl created, the green haired boy their target ordered to set wires, then back to Schlamn.

“Let me know if you need the help~”

Akane - Team Two

Akane had begun looking around for the source of the smell when he noticed the blonde figure who had already shot that ball of sludge straight at Jasmine. His eyes widen and opened his mouth to yell look out only for a metal disc to block the attack which was followed by two kunai which lodged themselves into the figure's shoulder blades before the appearance of Dark Side. Akane didn't give much thought to her outfit or the scars, feeling a little relieved before focusing on the enemy who was clearly not apart of the test.

He watched as the man simply pulled out the kunai and smiled evilly at Dark Side, not appearing the least bit fazed by the attack. The smile on the man's face made a shiver run up Akane's spine even though the smile wasn't even directed at him. Glancing over at the metal disc, his eyes widen slightly at the sight of the melting metal disc. Without a thought, Akane moved in front of his teammates slowly in a protective stance that didn't show just how uneasy he truly felt inside though it probably was clear in his eyes. When Dark Side spoke, he immediately nodded and returned his gaze to the villain while Jasmine created her mandrake. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the creature emerge. It certainly was impressive and Akane would have said that if it wasn't for the current situation they were in. He glanced back at Yuuta and Jasmine, shooting them a reassuring smile before looking forward, taking a deep breath.

He began glancing around the area, looking out for any more villains that may be hiding.

Yuuta was about to take another step closer to nowhere, until he heard something that seemed to be cutting through air from a distance. The sound became clearer every second that passed until it hit a tree. If his eyes weren't deceiving him, then a metal disc seemed to pass right above them, intercepting an unknown object that his gaze caught in a split second. "What--" His words failed him when he noticed his teammates' gaze was fixated in one direction. He looked towards where they were looking, only to see Dark Side and an unidentified man with a villainous grin on his face. The man's smile sent chills down his spine. He wanted to take a step back, but his feet weren't obeying his instincts. This man. He has eyes that look full of hatred and bloodlust. This man is here to kill.

The boy gulped as he watched Dark Side take on a defensive stance. She's protecting them, just like how a pro-hero and a teacher should act in times of threat. When the teacher alarmed the other teachers using a wristband in her arm that seemed to be a communication device, his mind spun a little when he heard Sensei say that they were being attacked by villains. A villain attack. A real one. They were supposed to only train and finish an objective here, with only Master Bang acting like a fake villain. He was scared, but he knew he has no time to show his emotions. Right now, their only task was to escape the area and leave the villains to the teachers. But, there are only four pro-heroes that came with them and the number of villains was unknown.

As soon as Dark Side issued out a rather dangerous command to Yuuta, he nodded despite his mind acting against him. He was scared, yet he wasn't hesitating to do the task given to him. It seems like his adrenaline took over his body. Yuuta quickly flew off-sight using his wires. He started to set a perimeter around them by striking his wires and detaching them as quick as he can, like a bullet. He was acting fast and consistent, though careful to not hit any branches attached to the trees.

"Got it." I nodded to Ari's decision and her warning. Honestly it was a little worrysome. The momet she blinked, I'd be in freefall, of only for a single brief moment.

"Eep!" I squeaked in surprise when Ari suddenly grabbed my hand. For a secon there I thought Bang had come for us directly or that I set off some creepy trap, but it was just Ari getting ready to lift me. Still, now that I thought about it more calmly... Ari's need to touch my hand was a definitely concern to be accounted for. She might have trouble lifting me again if it somehow got disabled, since she wouldn't be able touch me again when it happened. As such, Ari began lifting me. My feet were beneath the tree line, in the right position for Ari to be able to see me still, but allowing me to have a look over the forest. I had to blink a couple times before answering her question.

"Hey! I'm...I...cute?" It took me a moment to snap out of the compliment headspace. "Well, I do see some things. I see some kind of green stuff getting thrown around. I think I see smoke somewhere. They're probably traps that set off, but still, fire in the woods, that's super dangerous! I think I see some kind of abandoned building in the distance... I can't see anything in our path. If there are traps, they hid- Wait, I think I just saw the trees rustling nearby!"

So noisy... so annoying... were forests not supposed to be calm, quiet places? Were they not supposed to be somewhere one can lay down and just listen to the birds sing or something (though the birds were annoying too with all the incessant chirping)? Why was there all this commotion in the forest? Why was he sent here to this bloody forest? Why was there so much crackling, so much zipty zap and bity bip? Just shut up, you hear? Just, why, why did the world not just leave him in peace for once?

I just have to silence it.

This was his conclusion. This was ALWAYS his solution. It didn't use to work. But recently, after he began working with the league, suddenly it had started to work. Though the league were noisy too. Well, one problem at a time. One irritating, undening, repetitive, senseless, neverending source of noise at a time. Today those students, tomorrow the league.

He decided he might as well follow the most annoying noise, all the zipty zapping seeming to be coming mainly from a single area. As he approached, he noticed two figures by it's edge: One was a girl with wolf ears and tail, the other seemed like a plain guy. However, the hero costumes they were wearing were proof enough that they were students. The plain guy was in fact, weirdly, part of the zipty zapping. So annoying. If this was part of his quirk, then just by LIVING this person would be a blight upon him.

Obviously, he had to be the first to go.

Other than the expected moving dirt from getting thrown stuff at and kicked, there was no reaction from the mound. As Jono digged into it, he found his hands reached something much harder than dirt. It was none other than a heavy safebox. It was pretty rusty, still serving it's function exceptionally well though. There was no combination or anything of the sort, just two handles each attached to one of the safeboxe's doors, which were each decorated with the imagine of a person with both their arms raised and reaching into the center of the safebox. Even if they attempted to, the safebox itself would be too hard for someone with Johana's strength alone to open.

"Howdy there!" A voice said from the nearby woods. A large slug person, far taller than any of the present students, emerged from the trees, waving at them. The tone of their voice sounded cheerful, if a bit nervous. "I'm sorry to interrupt...whatever it is you're doing... but I seem to have gotten a little lost. Young man, would you mind showing me the way out?"

The slug person continued to approach Jono as they talked.

GM POST
necro_golem_by_zofond.png

If this was a joke, it was a cruel one. Right today when I had been unexpectadly brought to this place and made the "prisoner" to top it all off, we had a serious villain attack by something like , well, that thing. Up until mere moments ago, everything was calm. It would seem we would have a good test today for the student's abilities, with both myself and Bang observing through the screen the images my drones captured. Suddenly, however, something happened. The images were suddenly replaced with static.

"Did any of the students have an eletricity quirk?" I inquired Bang. He'd know better than I did. I didn't expect such intense interfierence though. Ah, what a bore! Even Bang was complaining now, talking about how much harder his job was compared to mine, becuae oh I just had to sit on a chair with barely any preparation work. "Well, well, think of it like this, when I get out of here I'll have to check up on my students to be sure they din't screw up while I was gone, and even if I'm lucky and none did, in a couple weeks I'll be working day and night to give one of the classes suitable hero costumes. Meanwhile, you'll get to enjoy some time off. See? Doesn't that sound-"

Though barely understandable with all the static, Darky-chan's sudden worried voice was nothing to gloss over, a fact that would soon come to be confirmed by someone barreling down the entrance. It was a huge person, several times Bang's size, and at least by appearance ten times the muscle mass. Several barely human heads seemed to slide across his skin, at times pop like bubbles and reform, all the while drooling all over them.

Not a lot of words had been understandable with the static. But one, at least, managed to be clear enough: Villain

She watched as the students did as she said without questioning it openly, even if they disagreed. That was good. For things to work out the best way with the least injuries, they'd have to trust her. Jasmine had created a Mandrake and it seemed to guard Jasmine without any extra command. That was good. Akane stepping up to guard his teammates, that was good. When Yuuta moved to complete the task that Izanami had given to him, she didn't take her eyes off of him. She was ready to defend him if any attack would come his way, but there was none. The villain before them didn't even bother taking his eyes off of Izanami.

She nodded as she took a deep breath to steady her balance, but it ended up being more like a sigh of relief. It meant that he was here specifically for her, if not all of the teachers, but not the students. Someone like him not taking the chance to kill? With Yuuta setting the perimeter and Izanami guarding the front, they wouldn't have to worry about their backs, at least they'd have a heads up and time to evade.

She could hear the destruction of the drones thanks to her heightened sense of hearing, and her assumption was that it had to be another villain. She could confirm two villains, and her assumption would be there was even more. That's what she would do if it was her plan. The students were a wildcard, unpredictable even with plenty of intel. They would have to control them by any means or the pure amount of numbers would overwhelm. It also provided an opportunity to gain hostages, which worried Izanami a little, but she was confident in her fellow teachers. For now, she'd have to focus on the villain before her.

"Setsuki-san, there are other villains around us please make sure your creature protects you three. I don't know their quirks, so I assumed mid-range would be the best middle ground," and with that she flicked her hand and another kunai whizzed through the air and stuck right into the chest of the blonde man, who only laughed probably amused by the repeated futile attempt. Well, he laughed until he looked down once he heard a 'ssssssssssssssss' coming from the kunai, before an explosion occurred.

When the explosion occurred, the slime didn't splatter everywhere (it might have from a concussive blast) but instead burned to ash and caused an even more putred smile than before. When the smoke cleared, there was no longer a man, but instead a blob of slime (see his CS picture) that seemed to have a chunk of its right side missing.

There was silence for a while, before the blob came together in a ball, before regrowing, clearly a bit smaller than before, but not a whole lot. It was enough to answer a couple of questions for Izanami who reached into ...somewhere..she's a ninja...and got a handful of 'metallic' balls and forced them into Akane's hands,"Look, don't drop these, they're explosive. When you throw them, they'll do small explosions on contact, smaller than the one that just occurred. These are for emergency only..." and with that she turned back around as the slime monster threw another slime ball, and created a black, smoky, shadowy shield on her arm blocking it, before she herself disappearing.

The slime monster before them started gurgling, and a voice emitted that sounded like someone was gargling water as they spoke,"ShadowStrike, you can't hideee....we know all of your tricks...."

DarkSide couldn't turn invisible, ShadowStrike could. But at this point.....it didn't matter, her cover was blown.

Hana Haven

Saber.Alter.600.2305296.jpg

With Ayuta reprimanded and made to return to the bus, apologize to the demonic-looking girl, and sit out the exercise, Hana was re-assigned to a different team, and it was actually the one that Katherine was on! Hana was very glad for Kath to be on a Hero course like this, living her dream. And with Hana by her side, it would be just like old times! Though they should of course both stay serious and professional, it would be nice to do something side by side again. Hana started to make tracks, in an attempt to catch up with her new teammates. Easier said than done, as it took her far longer than it would have if she could sprint for a prolonged period of time instead of carefully jogging.

When she finally managed to catch up with them, she only saw one of them, but she could hear Katherine's voice from above. She listened to everything her friend reported before making her presence known, and processing this information. This 'green stuff' could be a trap, or it could be a classmate's quirk. Was was more worrying was news of smoke. The teachers would have prevented anything that could cause a forest fire, so it must be a classmate's quirk. But the rustling of trees coming towards them? That could only mean that they were under attack from something. Hana didn't once think there was anything out of the ordinary or not part of the test. Her parents had warned her that Hero schools would be hands-on from day one.

"You sure are cute, mon amie!" called out a voice that Kath would find very familiar, before a blonde girl emerged from the forest and into Arietty's field of vision. "Hello! My name is Hana Haven. I'm your new teammate. My quirk is that I can turn myself into light, but I can only do it for an instant, and I can only do it three times before I need to rest. It takes a lot out of me. So, what's the situation? Bring me up to speed."

Ms. Sparks

Karin took the wooden bit from her mouth, wiped the tears from her eyes and put the taser back into the pouch on her belt. Forcefully recharging hurt a lot, but she'd used up a far amount of her power taking down all of the teacher's drones and needed to be at one hundred percent for phase two of the plan. She started to hear commotion from below. Looks like it was time. She dropped down from branch to branch, leaving her safer vantage point high up in the thick leaves, to a lower perch where she would have a better view of the action, as well as be able to hear a little of what was said, or at least said loudly.

The target was in sight, engaging her partner in crime for this mission. There were three students, and they could be a problem. Especially the one who Karin watched create a golem-like plant creature. This could go bad if it came down to prolonged combat. This group couldn't beat both her and Schlamnn but they were certainly capable of delaying them until backup arrived. Karin would have to end it quickly. The only student who wasn't currently proactively taking precautions was perhaps the most dangerous; he was keeping an eye out for villains. She would need a distraction. She found it in the student who was trying to create a perimeter using wires. Karin smiled, pointed her index finger at him, and waited until the next time he struck a wire. She fired off a Static Shot straight at the metal wire.

Ms. Sparks didn't have time to register what his reaction to that was. She just hoped it would be loud and distracting, either by making a sudden move to dodge, or yelling and spasming in the throes of a mild electric shock. As long as it got eyes away from her, as she dropped down from the tree, landing almost silently on the ground and sneaking up to ShadowStrike's back. She pointed her finger at the exact place her heart was located. Even from behind, a Static Shot hitting this spot would stop the target's heart. All ShadowStrike had to do was stay still.

That's exactly when her target disappeared in thin air, right in front of her eyes, leaving Ms. Sparks exposed for all the students to see. A split second of sheep panic caused Ms. Sparks to freeze for a second before her brain kicked into overdrive. The target wouldn't get away. Not if it meant leaving three students alone with two villains. No, the first thing she'd do is use her stealth advantage to attack, after getting off the ground where her footprints could be used to track her, of course.

"She's most likely in the trees," she spoke to her partner, before looking over to the students who had likely all noticed her by now, and smiled a slightly twisted smile.

Yuuta was about to finished setting up a perimeter. Luckily, neither humans nor any suspicious objects were caught on sight. He continued to do his job until suddenly, his gaze caught a person standing above the branches. After he raised his right hand and grappled on a tree branch, the person seemed to fire something out of their index finger. A glowing, white-hot stream of electricity, aimed for the wire on his right hand. He thought it was his end, but everything slowed down for a moment. He knew he couldn't dodge the attack by simply thinking. He couldn't detach his wire quick enough to be able to stop the electricity from hitting the wire and electrocuting him. If he took the hit, then he'd be paralyzed and fall down from about 8 feet into the ground, causing some injuries. But at the spur of the moment, he decided to leave his movements to his adrenaline and instincts.

Yuu aimed his left elbow at the nearest tree below to his left. A wire came out of his elbow, and luckily, it struck into the tree and he quickly grappled using the wire. It gave him enough speed to successfully detach the wire from his right hand and completely avoid the electricity attack. However, Yuuta didn't know the risks of this move. He had no time to cushion or slow down the grapple. His left elbow braced the impact, and a wave of pain and shocking sensation covered his arm. It became numb, but his arm can still move. He clenched his left fist and looked above. The person was nowhere to be found. He proceeded to finish setting up the perimeter. After he was done, he moved towards where his team was. Dark Side was nowhere to be seen, but he said with a stutter in his voice, "There's o-one person who attacked me. On the other hand, e-everything's seems to be okay."

Facing right in front of them were that sinister man from earlier and a girl smiling devilishly. "It's probably that girl. She has an electricity quirk. A bad match-up for me." Yuuta informed his teammates.

Calypso

It was almost as if Allison could feel something in the air shift. Her time as a hero had given her the ability to sense when something was not right, and she had a sinking feeling in her gut. Had one of the kids gotten hurt? Right as she was about to radio Dark Side, she heard the static and could make out little of it, but one word did come through clearly.

“Villain”

It couldn’t be though, they were safe on a school field trip. There couldn’t be villains here, the idea of the school being attacked was almost ludicrous. The thought of the influx of missing heroes coursed through Calypso’s mind, and she decided it was better to err on the side of caution. She wouldn’t forgive herself if she didn’t act, and someone got hurt…or worse.

“Trust your instincts.” She could almost hear Ebisu’s voice in her head. Allison obliged and quickly grabbed her cellphone. Kazuma was on speed dial, she waited for him to pick up.

“Kaz, It’s Allie. Something has happened on the field trip. I think we are under attack. You might want to get here as soon as possible. I’m going to go into the woods and get as many kids out as I can. Be safe.”

She didn’t wait for him to respond, or to try to convince her not to go. She hung up before he, or the Cortisol flooding her adrenal glands could convince her to stay. Allison bolted for the tree line, to the kids. They were her priority. She hadn’t been in a fight in a long time, but to protect their lives, she would fight again. This was about the only thing that would break her almost decade long vow of pacifism.

The woman shoved the walkie into her lab coat and bolted into the woods after the children who had just left.

She could feel herself being picked up and lifted over Johanna's shoulders, but she was doing everything to fight the overstimulation of the smell. If there was any drawback to having heightened senses because of her quirk, it definitely was the fact that her senses could be over stimulated and left her useless. So much so, she had to be carried by some teenage boy whose quirk was not intended to help him carry anyone at all. It was embarrassing, and her grandfather probably would laugh at her and never let her in his agency, but he wasn't here to see it. At the least, she was being carried by a friend, someone she could trust so it wasn't so bad.

"I could only carry us so far," she joked in return weakly as he ran away from the mound. Maybe it was the mound that was causing that stench? But that couldn't be. They had came right up to it she only smelled the blood scent coming from it, it wasn't until the wind came that she got weak. It had to be something further away. It was confirmed when she looked over the shoulder after Jono tried to trigger the mound but instead had unearthed a safe box. It was annoying how much smarter and trickier Kazama sensei was than everyone.

But it was starting to click. Jono and herself were right. The obvious trap was intended to be set-off. Whatever was in that box? That's what they needed to pass this test. It seemed to be set up for their strengths and weaknesses and looks like they wanted to see what Jono was made of in a certain way. So Johanna coughed and nodded,"Jono......you should turn back to the box it....." she stopped in the middle of her sentence, but not because of the smell this time. It was because of the slug like creature that stood before they had her fur on its ends. She didn't believe he was a villain, she had no reason to think that this wasn't something Dark Side set up, but her animal instincts said he was bad news,"I think he's a trap..." she whispered into his ear with a low growl in her throat.

Edge's eyes had been on Calypso for quite some time now.

From within the forest, hidden in plain sight the man would trace her steps. These would eventually lead the woman into the forest toward his general direction. The pattern of footsteps neared at a quick pace; the red-haired man brought the side of his index fingers to his teeth. He ran the edges of his teeth across his own flesh, generating a small cut as he stepped out from behind the cover of a tree closest to Calypso. She had been running after a few students, undoubtedly unaware of his existence in the slightest sense. That was no matter; she was going to receive a warm-welcoming from the coordinator of the villains' current escapade.

Calypso's forward momentum would work against her. When Edge had finally stepped out from that tree, he had done so with precise timing that would leave Calypso off-guard. When her body bumped into his, he would tense up so that his feet remained planted firmly on the ground. As she backed off due to the reaction of the collision, Edge would send a roaring uppercut to her midsection - slamming his fist into the woman's stomach. Once his fist connected, the blood from his cut would be manipulated to generate an explosion with enough force to send Calypso careening through the forest, flying off a few feet before her body would slam into the ground; sliding and rolling as far as momentum would allow it. Edge watched as she went, his hand aflame for a brief moment afterwards.

Reaching up to grab an apple from a low-hanging tree, Edge's feet slowly brought him in Calypso's direction. He wasn't one to run much, despite a ridiculous amount of built-up stamina working in his favor. It just wasn't Edge's style. The man brought a free hand to move some bangs from his face, his physical form slowly changing as he neared the professor. Nurse? Professor of health? It wasn't Edge's job to gather details or do any research. He was simply around to lead the charge of peons, something that he detested considering his gifts were the strongest among his peers.

At least, in his eyes anyway.

The main goal was Dark Side. While the rest of the villains were busy doing their part - matching up against heroes that the villains believed would be hard to combat given their talents - Edge thought it completely viable to go first for the professor who could reverse the damage done. The healer needed to go. Based on his previous knowledge, she would be squishy and inefficient in combat. Not that he particularly knew of the woman's strong points or weaknesses but he was well-versed in the positives as well as the negatives that came with this typecast.

A lot of timing went into this attack. It was planned, there was coordinating efforts and some of the villains were able to maintain constant communication despite their locations being scattered. As far as his knowledge went, by now contact must have been made with Dark Side, Bang and even the teaching pile of slime. There was an equally disgusting pile of slime on the side of the villains that was dying to get a crack at that girl, despite Edge's disgusted responses.

The man began to speak to Calypso as he neared her form, which had still been grounded.

"You will serve a much bigger purpose than protecting these children. They will forever remember your sacrifice. Unless you want to bring me to a certain someone? If you promise to come to the Dark Side; be a good girl and help force her to come with us then I won't leave you lying here in a puddle of your own blood. Your choice, but probably not the best impression for your students to see you go out with such a Bang."

Bang's eyes moved from Panko. None of the students in his class had an electricity quirk - at least, that either he nor they knew of. The ceiling caving in as the large villain landed on his feet provided the sound of sheetrock and metal collapsing inward. The supreme martial artists' eyes looked at the beast. There were quite a number of human heads traversing around its flesh, a sight that was quite effective at making Bang queasy. What a sight. The man had seen some ugly villains in his time; both deceased and some that were still alive. However, this thing that had been standing before him easily took the cake. Given the structure of its body, it's gigantic mass and capability of generating high volumes of damage, Bang wasn't so sure a few punches here were going to cut it. With one hand, the homeroom teacher grasped his own shirt by the collar and ripped downward, tearing it off. He left the fabric on the floor as he stared at the monster who had yet to move from its position.

"Yes, Panko. It'll be nice to have some time off after this. Now, I suggest you run."

Planting his feet firmly into the ground and sliding them until they were flush with his shoulders, Bang hunched over. Clutching his fists, he raised his arms slightly out from his sides a la Dragon Ball Z. Flexing every single muscle that he had control over, Bang began yelling at the top of his lungs. This was something that Bang did regardless of the enemy he was facing. Some of his students had theories. One of the more popular ones was that Bang just really liked Anime and enjoyed emulating the idea that he had power overflowing as a result of this tactic. Another was that it was something derivative of mental processes designed to help him take down his foes. In reality, neither were the case.

Given the state of his physicality, Bang did this to prepare his muscles. By flexing them, he would shake off some of that oldmanitis that was responsible for causing his muscles and joints to adhere to his cause, given a raging case of arthritis. Yes! Arthritis was responsible for Bang's posture and movements outside of combat. However, his quirk was powerful enough to fight the effects of the muscular degenerative disease for extended periods of time. This was effectively the reason why Bang did not participate as a working Hero - others were more capable to work for longer.

Not willing to wait another moment for the villain to strike, Bang launched himself off of the ground. As he jumped up toward the villain, he would fully extend his fist back before launching it forward, with the forehead of the drooling beast as his fist's primary target. If this fist was to connect with the flesh of the monster, it would easily provide enough force to send the villain through the side wall of the building. Though, Bang did not take into consideration whether or not the monster's flesh was solid. That was a conversation for a different time.

For now, Bang had to buy Panko enough time to escape - and this would be by way of distraction.

Allison had been so focused on finding the kids, that she didn’t stop before she ran into the man who had jumped in front of her. She slammed into his sturdy torso and shuddered back, her momentum halted. If she hadn’t been so rusty at hero work, she may have been able to avoid this. She used to be quite quick on her feet. It didn’t matter, her suspicion and Dark Side’s warning had been right.

Villains had found them. More importantly, they had found the kids.

“Who are…” before she could finish her thought, a fist came up into her midsection, knocking all the wind out of her lungs. She hadn’t been hit in a long time, and even during her time as a hero she was normally smart enough to stay out of the thick of the fights. She had Ebisu and Kaz to fight up close, she stayed back and fought from afar. Being this close wasn’t good for her. His fist seemed to cause some kind of explosion throwing the woman back, rolling across the ground into a tree.

Her whole body ached. She wasn’t used to fighting, she wasn’t used to becoming a punching bag. She had barely gone to the gym regularly since she had buried herself into her work. Her entire body hurt, she groaned as she slowly came to her feet, listening to the guy do his crafty villain speech. Even with her gut feeling bruised, she couldn’t help but cringe at his use of puns.

So they were here for Dark Side, or more likely they were here for ShadowStrike. Allison, like many of the elite among the teaching staff, knew about the identity of their new teacher. Somehow, the villains now knew about her too. What did they want with Bang?

Allison couldn’t help but laugh as she rose to her feet. Of course, she wouldn’t be taken as seriously as the others. One of the negative side effects of deciding to become a pacifist. One of the positive side effects, was that no one bothered to look at her as a threat. That was a mistake.

The adrenaline pumping through her veins spurred her onward. She had to get past this guy, get to the kids. That didn’t mean she had to win the fight, she just needed to disable him. Even if it was temporary. Allison smirked, lips bloody from where she had bit her lip in the impact. It had been a long time since she had felt like this. It was almost…liberating.

“You can never count on me to be a good girl.” With that Allison put her lips together, letting out a high-pitched whistle. Anyone within hearing distance would be forced to deal with the Tinnitus that it caused. The ringing would be excruciating, causing dizziness and nausea. The blow she took had really messed her up. She was barely standing, not the type to normally fight. She needed this to work, just long enough to get by him and get to the kids, or at least to a spot where she wasn’t in immediate danger. Kazuma would be there soon, she just had to hold on.

The teen looked to the side, off in Johanna's direction as she whispered into his ear. He watched as the slug man greeted them as though they were old friends; a small smile graced the features of Jono who was feeling a bit intimidated by the size and demeanor of the problem before them. The slug man had continued walking toward the two but Jono didn't offer the man response to his question. Given the nervousness he seemed to display, it would seem inconsistent that this person was a part of the test. Jono had still been crouched over, both hands grasping the heavy chest in attempts to pick it up - but he could not. Whispering so that Johanna would be able to hear him, Jono turned back to look at the man who was nearing the two students.

"Johanna, none of our teachers are easily perturbed. Do you hear that in his voice?"

Jono was almost positive that this person was not a part of the test. He had done his research; there were no student teachers who were slugs. Unless Dark Side pulled out the stops and went outside of the school's personnel to receive help, this man wasn't standing with Bang, Panko and Dark Side at the beginning of the day. No, this was an outlier. Aside from that, he was displaying an emotion inconsistent with someone who was there to simply help a friend with a test.

tumblr_p5fz3tnr2Y1qe959eo1_1280.jpg"Before he gets close, we need to open this chest. You were right, I was wrong to skip over it. Based on the pictures the box has on it, we both need to work together to get it open. Once it is, I need you to grab whatever is inside without hesitation and run. I'll be right behind you."

Jono used both of his hands to help Johanna get onto the ground. Despite the fact that she felt weak due to the inundation of her senses, this was a time she would have to work her hardest to get through it. If there was any time the two were in real danger during their escapades at the academy, this was it. Day two; such an idea was laughable, though probably only to someone who wasn't immediately involved. The man was getting rather close. Not one to think in a scattered manner even under duress, one of Jono's hands would gather as much dirt as it could possibly hold from the mound the two students were sitting around. Well; it was once a mound, now open to expose a chest.

There was only going to be a short window of time where Johanna and Jono - Team JoJo - could effectively put Jono's play into motion.

"I can help you, sir." As the villain got close, Jono stood up with a smile on his face. Moving a bit closer to the villain, Jono turned to point at a random direction in the forest with his free hand before tenaciously throwing the handful of dirt into the villain's eyes with the opposite. Not bothering to wait around to see what the reaction of the villain would be, Jono immediately turned back once more to dig his knees into the dirt before wrapping both of his hands around one of the handles belonging to the chest.

"It's time, Johanna!" Jono looked sternly at her, ready to fight for the two of them once that box was opened. As long as he could help Johanna move forward, he could prove to be a distraction at least for a little bit. It didn't matter what the slugman was; whether he was friend or foe was irrelevant. The two had to do whatever they could to move forward. Jono was willing to sacrifice his own personal glory for the good of the team. Even if he couldn't be there with Johanna, he could catch up or fail trying.

Approaching the three young teenage girls that made up their exam team, was a skeleton that seemed to be missing an arm and a leg. It was quiet as it walked - well hopped, really slow before collapsing on the ground like it was a cheap bag of parlor tricks set up by Kazama-sensei. There was quiet for a second until from the distance came a twirling tibula (MAROWAK BISH ) that flew through the air and went at the suspended Kat aiming right at her gut. The force would be more than enough to make her feel it. Shortly after a large mass of skeletons that really seemed just like a pile of bones emerged also before engulfing the lone skeleton from before.

The mass didn't stop as it headed towards the two that were grounded. Idea Idea Cyan Hide Cyan Hide Maj Maj

Arietty concentrated as she lifted the small girl into the air. She was surprised to find it relatively easy to keep her small frame afloat. A small smile played across her lips when she stuttered over being cute. Of course she was cute, the girl needed to just accept this truth.

Another girl approached them in the woods. The girl was a cute, slim blonde girl with nice yellow eyes. She talked to Kath like she knew her and introduced herself to Arietty and explained her quirk, it sounded AWESOME.

“Hey Hana, nice to meet you,” Ari said not taking her eyes from Kath, “I hope you don’t think me rude but I can’t take my eyes off our floating friend here or she will have a nasty fall.”

She listened intently as Kath explained what she saw, her mind whirring. What could that green stuff be? One of the teacher’s tricks? Rustling in the woods, she needed to get Kath back where she could be safe.

“Kath! I’m gonna go ahead and lower you down before someone…” Air started, but it was too late. A giant bone flew in from the treeline and hit Kath squarely, knocking her aside. On reflex, Arietty turned to look at what had caused the hit. It looked like a….skeleton? That couldn’t be right. Ari couldn’t focus on that right now, she had to keep her eyes on Kath as much as possible. With as fast as she was moving, that was difficult.

She was able to keep her eyes on Kath well enough to bring her down to a manageable speed, running to meet her Arietty grabbed her and fell to the ground with her weight, softening her fall.

“Ow….” Arietty groaned. Which one of their professors had the ability to make skeletons walk around, maybe it was one of Panko’s inventions?

“This doesn’t seem like a trap,” Ari started, her heart pounding in her chest as she stood, helping Kath to her feet too if she fell. “I didn’t think we would have to fight much. They said that in class.” Something wasn’t right at all.

Arietty wouldn’t be much use against something that didn’t feel emotions, but she could do her best to stun or delay the enemy.

Riyo Shinoku- The Lotus Tennin

If there's one thing Riyo knew at any given moment in the forest, she was really getting a short stick, not the shortest, but god damn it right before she left into the forest, Riyo was put right onto another team. Team... she couldn't remember the number if there was one but she did know Johanna was on the team with some dude named Jono, that was all. A replacement for wolverine? Hell yes! He really didn't do much so another dude was cool to Riyo. Only one problem, she had no idea where he team was.
Riyo was in the woods. That was the extent of anything she knew, but to get better leverage, Riyo made a staircase up to see better. She was about just over the trees and still didn't see anyone let alone her team. Of course a set back like that didn't stop the girl. Riyo stayed up above the trees to avoid traps, and was successful by carefully taking three lotuses, one extra for safety and basically throwing them close enough to together for her to grab them, but far enough apart to make some progress, the idea definitely took some time, but it was better than tapping into her reserves so much. As Riyo was traversing the air, she had a thought, she didn't know Johanna's quirk let alone know who Jono was, so... how was she gonna think of a way to fight with them which was likely to happen in the current test. Johanna did have ears like a wolf along with a tail, maybe her quirk was something canine related. That was all Riyo could think of. Just that. Riyo began to get a little bored searching for her new new team, and saw a slug guy. Interesting!
She had definitely never seen him before, for sure not a teacher or student, it was also unlikely a civilian would've gotten onto the test grounds, that definitely wouldn't get past the teachers. A villain? Hm, possible, Riyo decided to follow him just in case and eventually she came across Johanna and some other dude. Teammates! She went unnoticed pretty well and watched what happen unfold, they found a chest, cool, and then Jono threw dirt in the slugs face and told Johanna it was time , uh oh. That was when Riyo had no doubt the mollusc man was a villain. She had to act quick, while there was still dirt in his face, Riyo managed to get above him, hopefully what she was about to do would work. Riyo jumped off her lotus, keeping the other two in her hands and landed directly on the slug's tail,"If you're trying to open the chest, I suggest going faster!" Oh god, being bold like that definitely wasn't something Riyo was good at.

A split second after Ms Sparks spoke, a flurry of thick vines descended upon the villain, coiling and weaving like snakes as they attempted to restrain the perceived threat. The mandrake made from Crimson Ivy’s DNA did not speak. However it wasn’t without mind—at least enough to understand that the twisted smile directed towards its creator meant that the woman was an enemy.

An enemy that had gotten too close to Jasmine in her attempt to sneak up on ShadowStrike (who had been standing protectively in front of her students).,

Meanwhile, Jasmine was checking on Yuuta’s arm, which appeared to be bruised—as if it had been roughly slammed into something. She was relieved that her classmate was safe, given the tough task their teacher had provided him. Just as Kazuma-sensei predicted, there were more villains in the forest.

“Our priority should be to escape the forest and get help,” Jasmine quietly reminded her green haired classmate. His last comment had made it seem like he intended to fight the villains which, while dangerous, depending on whether the villains intended to them leave or not, might be their only option. The best defense is a good offense or so the old adage went. The fact that the woman with the electric quirk had attacked Yuuta made it clear that the villains had not intention of going easy on them just because they were kids either. “My phone is not working.” Though it had been working fine when the exam started. “ I think one of the villains have with them a quirk that can disrupt signal transmission within the forest.”

Or a device of some sort. Whichever the case, now that ShadowStrike was no longer in sight, she feared the villains would be focused on them. Kazuma-sensei had told Jasmine to protect her classmates with her mandrake. However, their teacher had disappeared before Jasmine could tell her that her mandrake would only last 5 minutes. Not exactly something she could reveal to enemies either.

Jasmine let out a breath. She needed to stay calm and figure of the best thing to do in this situation.

“The school nurse should be at the edge of the for—,”

“She’s probably dead.”

Blinking, Jasmine glanced up a nearby tree to see a dark haired man seated comfortably on a branch. Beside him was a smashed up drone with a metal pole sticking out of it. She was willing to be he was a villain and narrowed her eyes suspiciously.

"What do you--?"

“You Kids should just sit still and watch. This will be over once ShadowStrike is killed.”
Dichromic eyes landed on Jasmine. “Oh, and call off the plant thing-y, won’t you~? I’d rather not hurt pretty girls if I can help it.”

Jasmine’s only response was to step closer to her mandrake.

“Mm, your face doesn’t change much, but I can hear the increase in your heart rate. Your body doesn’t lie.”
Pulling the metal pole free from the drone, the dark haired villain dropped from the tree and strolled forward—the pole twirling in his hand.

Jasmine picked up a stick.

“I wonder if ShadowStrike’s heartbeats would increase if one of you were to be accidentally maimed.”

A vine, which had been going after the female villain, whipped back at the dark haired male. However, either due to the mandrake’s distraction with the electric user, or the male’s own skills, the guy easily dodged.

“ ‘Course, we’re aiming for her heart to stop altogether, so I suppose it wouldn't matter~”

The villain had just taken another step forward when he suddenly stopped and winced.

“What the hell?” Shaking his head a bit, the villain glanced at a certain direction for a moment before shrugging. “Whatever.” He looked back at the students, his gaze settling on Jasmine. “Don’t make this anymore difficult for yourself, Babe. Put the tree away before I’m forced to torch it.” Eyes flickered to Akane. “I don’t think Miroslav’s happy about ShadowStrike’s little toys, so if you could give those up, that’d be nice too. Can’t have him get any smaller~"

The sheer amusement in the last line nearly made Jasmine question whether the villains were friends. She decidedly not to think too deeply about it. Villain relationships were beyond her comprehension. Relationships in general were beyond her comprehension. Jasmine would rather stick to facts. Facts and science. Those were the things Jasmine trusted.

GM Post

Edge watched as the woman's small frame struggled to rise. He let out a bit of a chuckle. Seeing a hero in such a pitiful state was something that he very much enjoyed, even more than the ideology that he shared with Mugetsu regarding a lack of order in the world of villains. In this particular case, the latter option was less of a possibility. Unless one of these heroes were going to snap and kill any of the villains that Edge had brought with him, no lesser villains would take their last breaths in this forest. The heroes, with the exception of Bang and ShadowStrike, were not a threat. Even then, two villains with quirks set to easily rival their own were already on the hunt for elimination. As far as Edge's intel (which was shared with the rest of the villains, of course; not gathered by his own hand) claimed there were only a lowly nurse and a tech junkie left in their midst after the two actual threats.

The villain had no problem killing the nurse, but he first wanted to be sure to find ShadowStrike before doing so.

That was when Calypso let out a loud yell. It immediately caught Edge off guard, causing both of the man's hands to clasp his ears and turn in disgust. As the sound continued to ricochet through the forest and at points even seemed to be getting louder, Edge scrambled to find the best way to get himself out of the situation. He was careless to be caught in the crossfire, but his distance to the woman was only making things worse. He gambled being able to wait out the attack - how long could her lungs possibly last? How long could she hold her breath? Given how dizzy the sound had been making Edge, the villain would soon be forced to one knee. He hung his head, waiting as long as he possibly could before pushing himself onto both feet once more. Then, he lifted himself off of the ground and flew off.

He was not retreating. Rather, recollecting himself. Edge needed to find a way to get close enough to Calypso without triggering the alarms. Immediately, the man regretted forgetting his roll of duct tape, as this would have been quite useful in tying the girl up and keeping her mouth shut. Perhaps it was best to knock her out and bring her to the other villains to decide what to do with her? Either way, he had to be sure to deal with her swiftly or else she would get a hold of the other heroes. If the rest of his team had not found them yet, the knowledge of their arrival could spawn the appearance of other heroes and that was exactly what the villains were trying to avoid in the first place. Edge still had an eye on Calypso, sure to keep the woman in his sights. He stood at one of the highest tree branches in the nearby area he could find, motionlessly staring down at the woman and preparing himself to strike once more. Even as he remained a fair distance from the woman, the shouts echoing throughout the forest were loud enough to cause the man to occasionally wobble.

As such, one of his clawed hands grasped onto the tree trunk belonging to the branch he was standing on. His long nails dug into the wood as he let out a low growl. Eventually, Calypso would move from her spot. She would go find more students or he would possibly even be able to follow her to the other heroes. Though, Edge was pretty sure that this woman's primary motivation would be to collect students so she could protect them, not run to warn the professors of the villains. Banking on this knowledge, Edge could potentially wait for the woman to round up as many students as she could before he continued his attempts at making power plays.

Or he could just kill her now and save himself the trouble.
