Fandom Megaman Battle Network RP (No Knowledge of Fandom Needed)

NoviceOfRoleplay

One Thousand Club
I started and ended this Megman RP that I'm proud of back a year ago. I was wondering if I could drum up interest to remake it, with my new BBCode skills and what not.

Megaman Battle Network World - The world still looks fairly modern with only touches of more touch screens here and there. What makes this world unique is the Navi. Navi is a digital companion that help average people sort through all the data needed to accomplish simple tasks as turning on the stove, to helping a general launch some missiles. A Navi is typically stored in a PET, Personal Electronic Transmitter. A Navi has its operator, the Navi owner, connect the PET to the Net from a home computer or other Net connected device. Net is merely the hip way to say internet these days. A PET can come in many styles, as do a Navi. Now you will see a default Navi running around, but people usually customize their own Navi with a personality and unique clothes.

There is another use for a Navi then simply being Siri. A Navi can be used to delete viruses or fight another Navi for sport. NetBattling is a very popular sport where NetBattlers send out there Navi to fight others. NetBattlers, or regualr operators, use BattleChips. A BattleChip gives a Navi a temporary weapon, of course these weapons are used for battle.

Our Story - Paradise City, a place where happy civilians live and prosper. It is also a NetBattling hot spot in the world and many come to enjoy the numerous activities the city offers to NetBattlers. In two weeks, the biggest even of them all is about to pop up, the Anniversary of the city. There will be a citywide battle royal, everyone will be battling to be the last one who will claim the prize, a secret prize. Though trouble is brewing. A criminal organization known as Rebellious has been attacking the city lately. Attacks before have been small and unnoticed, but recently they destroyed Heaven's Tower. Heaven's Tower held artifacts of old computer technology, and all gone. This put the city in a panic, and worried if this battle royal will truly go smoothly.

How It Works - There will be a battle system, not requiring dice, a simple battle system. Every week I will put BattleChips at the store for all to buy, and will give rewards to the most frequent posters. Though any stragglers will be rewarded as well. Also I will be making RP Summaries to make sure you do not have to swim through so many posts.

This is the old thread, to help you get a feel of what it was. Probably the best unfinished storylines I've ever thought. If you like Tower of God or Hunter x Hunter, you'll see action coming from political conflict, the world truly living, and a lot of potential for insanity.

Casual - Megaman Battle Network X: Paradise (No Knowledge Required)

Thinking of bringing it as a High Casual, to get those players willing to do a simple battle system. Note: This will not be the thread of the reboot.

Woah 5 people in one day, yeah I think this could work.

It'll take me a week to prepare all the BBcode and orignal artwork.

Count me in!

As someone who's beaten all the MMBN games, I'd be quite interested in doing an RP based off of them.

That's a pretty nice feat. I got in from the anime and played the games later, though I haven't played the 3rd onward because I had to use an emulator, and the file screwed up for some reason.

All the games are fairly good, so if you can find a good ROM it's worth playing the rest. ^_^

I'm interested too also if you own a Wii U you can get them off the virtual console.

I don't know. I've only heard the original Megaman (or was it X) on the virtual.
I'm fairly sure all 6 Battle Network games are on the virtual console including the different versions.

All 6 Battle Network games are on the virtual console, but I personally would recommend playing at least 6 on an emulator. It's uh...pretty dang difficult at quite a few points. >.> Or at least I had a fair bit of trouble with a few bosses and areas. Save states really helped me with both versions of 6 massively. =_=

On second thought, I might not be able to join. I will be sure to support your rp and send my friends your way though.

This is terrific. Like I said, I'll work on BBCode and art this week, to prepare for it. I'm surprised I've found so many fans.

I love MegaMan in general, though I'll admit that Battle Network was, sadly, the only series I never played. I saw the Anime was really big, and I loved the Buster/Sword combo that Rock.exe had. I've delved into the wiki to learn a little bit about the alternate universe that Battle Network Proposes. From what I've seen, it all seems like a really interesting concept. Plus, I get the feeling that various different ideas can be spawned from just this segment of the franchise. Count me in!

Ehh, but the name is nice.

About two days ago, I finally chose a profile pic xD . While you have lovingly kept your Fairy Tail.

Yes, this is why I love what I can create from this series. Any other from before BN, could turn into a generic "robot vs humanit" roleplay. I do love Battle Network (and Starforce the kinda BN spiritual) for it's grand potential that I don't think had really been used by the initial creators. Thank you for showing interest, tomorrow I will be showing off a potential logo for the roleplay and would love some input.

Oh, I agree with you 100%! And, if it's input you'll need, I'll gladly provide!

Thoughts on this version of the RP Logo?
