The Devil Wears Laces
Things were getting rather hectic in a way that surprises him. He was a Medjai. Protector of the Pharaohs and their great artifacts along with the cursed ones that are always getting disturbed by idiots who see profit in them. It makes him a little bit annoyed because of that but at the same time. He tries his best to keep them safe and sometimes, he can't save them all. They usually have to learn their lesson the hard way by falling to their deaths which is nothing new for humans who were greedy. Now, he was here in the most popular museum in London, England. He usually travels between London and all the way back to Cario, Egypt. It was where his father's grave was located at along with the other medjai. He kept his robes on him at all times even in the city of English men. He was half and half, but it didn't phase him at all. He was mostly focused on his studies and doing what he loves best which was protecting the ancient artifacts but getting his education was important as well. He was in his last semester and doing everything online. It was a difficult thing for him to balance it out with his own life and his own studies, but his father made him do it and not be absorbed by the duties of a Medjai. So, he respected his father's wishes.
In this large and quiet museum, there was a lot that could be stolen by thieves, but the question was, who would be foolish enough to do enter a popular museum like this? He didn't dare answer that question himself but knew that he wouldn't like the answer to it at all. He was a little bit frustrated at his own predicament while working with a beautiful Book Archivist who was smart, but he must keep his focus on his tasks. Keep her at arm's length for her own safety and never to put the woman in harm's way. He was glad that it was dark and he could get out of his suit while replacing it with his Medjai robes along with his saber that rest against his side, cover in a leather hilt that had ancient hieroglyphs on them. He was walking around while making sure that nothing was happening as he was also reading a map in his hands of Sahara desert- the hottest desert that is cruel and not kind to people who are not used to the heat- it can be quite dangerous, but he had traveled with his brothers through it from time to time again.
His eyes roaming across the map of the desert while wondering where that certain Book of The Dead could be, but he had to worried about its counterpart as well. The Book of The Living as well. Such things existed and as much as he wishes they didn't. The Pharaohs had those books and did some questionable things, but it was not his place to say such a thing at all. With a deep breath that escapes from his lips, he wasn't going to find anything on a map. It wasn't like they had marked them and made it easy for anyone to find them. It didn't work like that and he was glad that they didn't do it that way or it would spill disasters everywhere. Those books were not to be taken lightly at all. Ancient and powerful, in the wrong hands, it could mean disastrous things and no one wants that which is why both books were separate from each other while hidden away as well. He wonders if one of them was buried with a Pharaoh. It wouldn't be the first time that he had found an artifact that was buried with a burial site. He folded the map up with gentle fingers as he heard a sound coming from a room that held their computers and many books that were in there for their own research. Hoping that his partner didn't leave anything out for anyone to take a look at, but he had his doubts.
Slowly, he moves over to the study room while wondering who could be possibly stupid to come into a museum-like this knowing that there were security systems built-in along with alarms that could be set off any minute if the intruder wasn't careful. If it was an intruder if it was a typical security guard then he has nothing to worry about, but just in case. He places his hand on the hilt of his saber while moving his way to the room and moving down the hallway in a silent way. The way of Medjai sneaking upon his enemies, but he was always quiet.
