Things were getting rather hectic in a way that surprises him. He was a Medjai. Protector of the Pharaohs and their great artifacts along with the cursed ones that are always getting disturbed by idiots who see profit in them. It makes him a little bit annoyed because of that but at the same time. He tries his best to keep them safe and sometimes, he can't save them all. They usually have to learn their lesson the hard way by falling to their deaths which is nothing new for humans who were greedy. Now, he was here in the most popular museum in London, England. He usually travels between London and all the way back to Cario, Egypt. It was where his father's grave was located at along with the other medjai. He kept his robes on him at all times even in the city of English men. He was half and half, but it didn't phase him at all. He was mostly focused on his studies and doing what he loves best which was protecting the ancient artifacts but getting his education was important as well. He was in his last semester and doing everything online. It was a difficult thing for him to balance it out with his own life and his own studies, but his father made him do it and not be absorbed by the duties of a Medjai. So, he respected his father's wishes.

In this large and quiet museum, there was a lot that could be stolen by thieves, but the question was, who would be foolish enough to do enter a popular museum like this? He didn't dare answer that question himself but knew that he wouldn't like the answer to it at all. He was a little bit frustrated at his own predicament while working with a beautiful Book Archivist who was smart, but he must keep his focus on his tasks. Keep her at arm's length for her own safety and never to put the woman in harm's way. He was glad that it was dark and he could get out of his suit while replacing it with his Medjai robes along with his saber that rest against his side, cover in a leather hilt that had ancient hieroglyphs on them. He was walking around while making sure that nothing was happening as he was also reading a map in his hands of Sahara desert- the hottest desert that is cruel and not kind to people who are not used to the heat- it can be quite dangerous, but he had traveled with his brothers through it from time to time again.

His eyes roaming across the map of the desert while wondering where that certain Book of The Dead could be, but he had to worried about its counterpart as well. The Book of The Living as well. Such things existed and as much as he wishes they didn't. The Pharaohs had those books and did some questionable things, but it was not his place to say such a thing at all. With a deep breath that escapes from his lips, he wasn't going to find anything on a map. It wasn't like they had marked them and made it easy for anyone to find them. It didn't work like that and he was glad that they didn't do it that way or it would spill disasters everywhere. Those books were not to be taken lightly at all. Ancient and powerful, in the wrong hands, it could mean disastrous things and no one wants that which is why both books were separate from each other while hidden away as well. He wonders if one of them was buried with a Pharaoh. It wouldn't be the first time that he had found an artifact that was buried with a burial site. He folded the map up with gentle fingers as he heard a sound coming from a room that held their computers and many books that were in there for their own research. Hoping that his partner didn't leave anything out for anyone to take a look at, but he had his doubts.

Slowly, he moves over to the study room while wondering who could be possibly stupid to come into a museum-like this knowing that there were security systems built-in along with alarms that could be set off any minute if the intruder wasn't careful. If it was an intruder if it was a typical security guard then he has nothing to worry about, but just in case. He places his hand on the hilt of his saber while moving his way to the room and moving down the hallway in a silent way. The way of Medjai sneaking upon his enemies, but he was always quiet.

OOC: I'm so sorry for my late reply! I got crazy busy with work and some family issues but it's finally slowed down so I'm just getting caught up on RPN

IC: Elora had been so stupid. Balancing her classes towards a master's degree, and her own secure career as a book archivist at one of England's most famous museums, she certainly always had her hands full. She had been slowly making a name for herself worldwide amongst other museum curators and their own book archivists. Despite only being in her mid-twenties, she always does her research. She had for a long time since her interests were the only thing to fill the empty void of life as a child. Her brain and expanse of knowledge had only continued to grow. Specifically towards her greatest interest, Ancient Egypt.

Despite becoming a young genius towards history that her professors adored, she was extremely forgetful and clumsy in plenty of other ways. Such as leaving some of the books she had been studying at the museum out earlier. Nothing extremely rare or precious, but a mistake she knew better for. She had almost been late to one of her evening classes and had booked it out towards her uni which was only two stops away by the underground. Finally getting out of class and being greeted by twilight and the streetlamps flickering to life, and the quiet rustle of leaves against the pavement, Elora had the sense to book it back to the nearest entrance to the underground and hope that the train would swiftly take her back to her museums stop.

Upon arriving and hauling herself back through the doors and up a few flights of stairs to the archive level, she had been there ever since after class. She had found her books undisturbed and untouched and had chosen to take a late-night to keep studying them. She had taken the tomes under her arm and had made herself comfortable in the study room. The novels she was currently poring over ever since. They were informative pieces about only some of the specialized fields of study for doctors during the time period. She sat hunched over one of the books, and the others neatly stacked nearby on the table before her. Her elbows rested on the table with a soft fist supporting her chin as she intently read. Her back was to the door, not that she cared considering the museum was closed and always quiet and empty this time of the evening even from the security guards on this specific level.

They knew her and her coworkers well and rarely bothered them. Too focused on her task at hand, she had at some point shed her long jacket and rested it against the back of her chair. It provided a little bit of cushion against the hardback of her seat after sitting for so long, and since she had been sitting long enough that she kept readjusting how her legs were, her mid-thigh skirt had ridden a little somewhere along the way. She sighed to herself, slowly becoming antsy and needing to stretch. As well as possibly grab a snack sometime soon. She hadn't eaten anything this afternoon before rushing to class and hadn't bothered after rushing back to the museum afterward. She figured it was probably time soon.

"A room without books is like a body without a soul."

Bayek had his ears open for any intrusion or any attacks as he heard rustling, but with a simple glance in one room. Knowing that there wasn't an enemy in there, he kept moving through the shadows. Letting his senses out as he was utterly focused on his task. The way that he was when he was doing his sacred duty in protecting the artifacts from others who would use them for their own benefits, but things weren't always what they seem as some of them had curses place on them. They could end up murdering themselves and then it could fall into the wrong hands as well. There were people out there that know of the curses and can use them to their own advantage. Gritting his teeth together as he knew someone was in here, but where? Where were they? He had to keep looking and he had to keep moving forward. He didn't want any tragedies to strike at all as he had to protect the innocent as well.

Seeing a light in the archive section, he hurried over to the door while entering the large room. Roaming past the massive shelves with books and scrolls along with parchments and other things that were here as well. Including maps as well as large manual scripts to somethings that he wouldn't even dream of. Slowly, he came to a stopped as his dark eyes widen to see a woman here in the archives. He usually avoids her when he was here visiting. The curator before her had given him permission to be here as well as informing the security guards, but he wasn't seeing if his friend had told her. Who was she anyway? His eyes traveled over her face and her hair. Down the length of her body, taking her body in as well as her face. She was a beautiful woman but shaking his head. He cleared his throat to announce his presence and not to startled the woman either. He asked her, "Who are you? I have never seen you around before." He leans against the bookcase while folding his arms across his chest as he wore his Medjai robes.

He waited for her response while tilting his head to the side and removing his black hood away from his face. To let her know that it wasn't some creep underneath that hood of his, but a respectable man that had his own way of doing things. He was most interested in this woman and look at the books on the table. Impressive that she was reading those subjects, but he wondered why she was reading those ones, but he didn't say anything. At least not yet, but he was patient as he waited for her to answer him as his eyes took in their surroundings as he never let their surroundings go unnoticed. He was an observer, but he was quite good at his job too. He was curious about the woman as he had removed his hand from the hilt of his blade that was attached to his hip. He had been in and out of this specific museum for a while as he waited for whoever to make their move. He thought some of them would try tonight, but it didn't look like it did. Then again he couldn't be too careful. Now, could he?

Unfortaretly, it seems that fate would contradict his words as three large men dress in black airy trousers with a red sash around their waist and a cut-out shirt with a white hood was over their heads. Swords and pistols lay against their belt. They appeared in her office while the leader of the group demanded of the girl while unsheathing his weapon, "Tell me, woman. Where is it? Where is the book?" He growled out to her as he was a demanding self-entitled male that was standing there along with his two henchmen. Wanting the book more than anything in the world as he could use it to his own advantage, but there was a specific thing that he wanted to raise and unleash chaos upon the world. In doing so, he believes that it would raise Egypt into its glory days and none of this modern crap will be around to stop them. The beauty of the ancient artifacts was that they could bring the deadliest thing alive, but Bayek had other ideas. He jumps in front of the woman with his rapier out and got into position, speaking in his language which causes the others to stare at him in surprise as they resounded the same language back to him. Raising their swords at him as he looks over his shoulder at her, "Go! Get out of here!"

"The girl stays here." The guy growled out to me.

He sidestepped the large man as Bayek blocks the blade with his own while speaking in a calm tone, "I don't think so."

OOC: No worries at all, it's all good. I totally understand. Some family drama happened with me too, so I totally get it. You are good! <3
