Nation Building Medieval Kingdoms Religions

Since religions in our RP are quite important, here you can post anything worth to be known about the religion of your country:

Your post must atleast contain the name of the god, and the basic idea behind that god.

There is no limit to how much you can write about your god.

Religion of Kahr

Monotheistic: There is no god besides Kahr: Kahr is a higher being.

Creation: Kahr created everything as it is in his own favor, for he saw that it was good, but corruption has somewhat fallen upon his creation.

He also created and gave a holy book (similar to the Bible or the Quran, very controversial and easy to misinterprentate, and therefore to be used as a reason for war and such.) "Der Pfad" (the path)

Followers HOLY quest: restore perfection upon Kahrs creation, for the corruption of demons who show themselves as gods and make people falsly believe in them must be banished.

Holy ranks: 10 Kahrdinals (spread upon the two lands which see Kahr as their god, 4 to control the main cities of a nation, and 1 more to sit and pray in the main church of the nation.)

Unlimited Pastoren. (singular Pastor) just priests.

Religion of the Southern Gods

Polytheistic: but only one is known to the men of the north, due to the raiders who follow him: The God of the Burning Sun.

Creation: The God of the Burning Sun created only the desert, in which he brings burning hot fire of the sun and pain and suffering upon the people, and he only sees favor in those who decide to dwell in his heat, and withstand it, and also bring pain and suffering and fire upon others.

Followers HOLY quest: said above.

Holy ranks: none

Religion of Astronomath

Monotheistic: Astronomath. Nulation people believe the moon to be Astronomath's core and the stars the shattered remnants of himself.

Creation: In this religion it is believed that Astronomath made the world exactly as he wanted it to be and Humans were created by Astronomath in his image. Followers of this religion believe Humans were designated as stewards of the world and must maintain the balance of nature. This does not specifically mean that they cannot eat certain meat, or certain vegetables. They are very much free to eat whatever meat or vegetables they like, as long as it does not cause the unbalancing of nature (eg if a certain animal is being hunted for their meat but said animal is beginning to lower drastically in numbers, the religion dictates that the animal is left alone to recover.) This also warrants the killing of certain animals if they have overgrown in their population in order to maintain the balance.

Holy ranks: None, all are equal.

Religion of the Avert

Polytheistic: There are countless gods with local variations but all believers agree on the five most powerful gods: Thramm the god of war and battles, Hessa the godess of fertility and harvests, Tatt the god of earth and soil, Fafn the god of the forrests and hunting and Rynd the godess of winter and ice.

Creation: After a fierce battle a mighty giant split the skull of the father of gods, Arthlemartan, and the gods poured out of the crack. Together they overwhelmed the giant and managed to slay it. Using the corpse of the giant they created the earth inside Arthlemartans skull in order to resurrect him, and are now protecting their father against the unending hordes of giants with the help of worthy humans.

Followers HOLY quest: Mastering a skill related to war, such as healing, weaponsmithing or swordsmanship, and join the fight against the giants.

Holy ranks: Highly skilled individuals are considered blessed and are roughly equal to minor nobles.

Religion of the Aesir

Polytheistic: There are several gods in the pantheon. However, three of htem are linked to the true center of the religion itself; spirits. The people of Gränland believe that upon death, their souls will be sent in different places, depending on how they lived their lives and if the gods managed to battle their soul to the right side. Thrak is the god of war and honor, and battles for the souls of those fallen in battle. Skida is the goddess of the hunt and winter, protector of shieldmaidens, and fights for the souls of those who fell in to defend their loved ones. Dödana is the goddess of life and death, claiming all those that die in their bed of natural causes or accidents.

They believe that sometime, the souls of the dead ones will appear to guide them in times of great need.

Creation: During the first days of Man in the Great North, the gods shaped the earth and the ice around them. Njjold, the god of the earth, shaped the humans, and, taking pity on their frailty, gave them the power of the gods; emotions such as honor, hope, and determination. His work was corrupted by Dödana, who also gave the humans hatred, disgust and mistrust; but, aiding their "father", the humans created a gigantic spear, which Njjold used to stab her and throw her into the caves of the world, forced to take the life of those that could not elevate themselves.

Holy ranks: The warriors hold the religious ranks too. The Aesir, the best warriors out of the fierce lot of Gränland, form the equivalent of priests, while the shieldbearers are what one would call a cardinal. The one of top of this all is the Jarl.
