Brief Prompt: Doctor Elstein, one of the major head scientists aligned with the KDN, has recently captured several kaiju to use in his recent scientific endeavors. You are one of those individuals, having been experimented on for the past several weeks in utilizing your strength, abilities, and overall hardiness against a variety of tests. You've done so by wearing a prototype mass-production "grade" headset that would have you understand human language and take orders from the higher ups. These tests are already beginning to take their toll, being both monotonous and degradingly harder as of recent. Today, several investors are to meet with Elstein as to see for themselves the potential of this experimental headset, as you are given several more tasks to impress them. Surely nothing will go wrong on this very important day...

- 8:57 AM
- Elstein Research Facility; Germany

Today was the big day.

After months of hard, intensive work and enduring many long hours each night, Doctor Karl Elstein was finally on the grasp of a breakthrough. In just 3 minutes he was to meet with the KDN's scientific advisory board, being just four stories up from where he stood, waiting for the elevator and showcase his findings to them. As exciting as this was, it was also just as equally tense. These past few months had been exceptionally stressful for the mad-scientist looking individual, as he scratched his rustled auburn hair with one hand and glanced through his rose-tinted goggles repeatedly over the notes he had on hand in ever-mounting nervousness. His boot tapped impatiently on the white pristine floor, with a menagerie of various thoughts coursing through his ever cluttered mind. Many delays had kept him from properly presenting his experiments to the ever watchful eye of the KDN - from malfunctions to design flaws - and funding for this secret project was drying up fast. He had to do a lot of begging and give valid reasons to formulate semi-reasonable compromises to keep his project afloat, with today being the agreed final due date. There would be no further extensions afterwards; nor would there be any excuses.

All of this proved to be a real-headache; but Elstein never lost faith in his work. He was now more certain than ever that he had accounted for nearly every possible scenario imaginable. It was high time that he put this to the test and continue to claim his reputation as the "Mad Man" who can. The man smirked confidently just as the elevator arrived, entering without hesitation, before being lifted to the 10th floor.

- 8:59 AM

Set up within the boardroom down second to the right of the gleaming hallway, nearly a dozen scientists sat facing one another in moderate anticipation while discussing the current situation at hand. There was a curious buzz emitting from the group, filled with various tones and thoughts about Dr. Elstein's current "mad experiment". Everyone in the room was at least moderately curious as to what the head scientist had to show for himself, after many delays and setbacks. He was mostly respected by the community at large, responsible in many biological findings regarding kaiju anatomy and other curious creature-related experiments, though many question certain methods that he curiously utilized. This project was no different. Now overdue and overfunded, the Scientific Advisory Board was growing impatient and the higher ups demanded that Dr. Elstein now reveal to them his work. Many were hopeful that he will come through, for he's no stranger to conquering nearly impossible odds, while some doubted the legitimacy of his passion-project. Nonetheless, this scientific argument was going to end today.

A minute later, and the sliding doors would open to reveal the unmistakable visage of Dr. Elstein, as he slowly walked into the room with his hands clasped behind his back. He was right on schedule, not a moment too soon or too late. The board fell deafly silent, with all eyes now directed at the head scientist in curious anticipation. The man stood at the center of the podium, pausing only to adjust his goggles that shine brightly underneath the lights above, and glanced at the individuals before him.

"Mein friends," the scientist spoke with a rather thick but young-sounding German accent, "Zis has been a long day coming. I present meinself to assure everyone in the room zat I require no further excuses or extensions. You all know zat I take pride in mein work; that I ensure only ze finest quality to come from mein hands. Anythink less, deserves nothing but further improvement and revigoration before any outside eye to glance upon its magnificence! Zis was no exception and neither shall zis be a process zat will change anytime soon." Dr. Elstein clasps his hands together with a radiant smile emerging from behind his chapped lips. "But fret not! After encounterink many setbacks and delays, I am pleazed to announce zat "Project: Alpha-Courier" is finally ready for proper testing!"

There was a light applause coming from the audience, accompanied with mild murmuring and discussion emitting from the scientists. There seemed to be a few confusing noises coming from the newer staff. A few moments later and the conversation settles down, before the head scientist continues after adjusting the collar of his lab coat. "Before I proceed to showcase ze fruits of mein labor, allow me to briefly restate the premise of zis projekt to zose, uhm, not as familiar. Ze goal of "Project: Alpha-Courier" is to control abnormally hostile kaiju to work as additional units of the KDN through "state-of-ze-art" mind-control technology. No longer do ve have to solely rely on ze words of giant beings that 'promize' to help, or ze docileness of weaker monstaz to be sent to their untimely demise. Now ve can pick and choose our candidates to fight at our beck and call!"

Another round of whispering and commotion rippled through the scientists. Dr. Elstein could hear some mild-concern and thoughts ruminate from their resolve, but continued holding his head high and proud. No one had commented on his plan nor the aspects of it yet, perhaps as a result of mild-curiosity that will subside once they see the experiment take place. "Of course," Dr. Elstein announced as he grasped at the remote presented on his podium, "Vou don''t need to take mein word for it. Vou vant results. So vithout vurther ado, let us introduce the subjects that vill be participating in today's session, shall we?"

And with the push of a button, a large flatscreen slowly lowered behind the head scientist before turning on to reveal the giant metal interior of the testing chamber.

The testing chambers were a huge complex of dark-steel buildings, that jutted out from the German countryside like giant monoliths. It was guarded by numerous large automated turrets that dotted around the perimeter, protecting both the facility from any approaching threat as well as protect the Earth from the possibility that anything escaped from these massive walls. Indeed, it was a very intimidating structure. Within its walls, various cells of differing heights would house a variety of different kaiju subjects, ready to test any experiments Dr. Elstein had planned. The creatures themselves would usually be locked and chained as additional security protocols, within dark and cramped cells that barely fit them. The larger "Major-Class" containment cells at least had a little more leg-room for a reasonably sized Baron or Viscount-class to roam, but nonetheless it was an uncomfortable place for someone to find themselves in.

For the kaiju selected to test "Project: Alpha-Courier", it was going to be their first time being outside of their enclosures in a week since their last test. All would have a small device attached to their heads, a currently irremovable object that relayed orders translated into convincing frequencies the kaiju could understand. Their cells creaked into position, trading out empty cells already connected to the giant main hexagonal arena - a nearly 2500 meters wide in diameter and roughly 1000 meter tall interior. Once in place, the doors would slowly begin to rise... releasing the kaiju captives to a grungy metallic interior, overseen by tiny people from a screen high above their heads.

The day was new, the light young and the cloud spares to none. Outside the facility, 1 Kilometer in distance, a small convoy made its way down a marked road, 3 trucks lead by smaller vehicles, armed with what seem mounted weaponry and men equally the same. There destination, the black spire far in the countryside to deliver supplies, The men inside clearly speaking to each other and conversion whatever topics came to be in german, but that was not the matter at hand, for 2 small creatures seem far interested in these trucks. Trees were spares and patches of tall grass made vision cut, and such small, squid like creatures known as Shards took there moment and hide as the convoy pass, there spiked heads similar to a drill covered in dirt as they hid under the soil. One vehicle passed, then the next and the next, and as soon the last one began to come in close proximity, there move was made, under the ground once again and drilling just a few meters to be right under the road, 4 tentacles sprouted and soon grapples the convoy by its Axle. One tied around the front axle of the truck while the other, the rear axle. The dirt was losen enough to maybe only feel as a bump for the driver, but they made sure it was not to noticeable. The two one eyes squids hold tightly and slowly there color began to shift, similar to a cuttlefish, there luced body began to change the same color as of the underside of the vehicle. There bodies running cold lowering their metabolism only as equal to the vehicle they were attached to, preventing thermal anomaly or detection. They made sure to be sideways as any bumps might make them hit the underside but sideways was less possible for there soft body's.

8:47 AM
As time passed the convoy came to a halt, inspection, outside the castle gates, they are near. The grip tighten as the men began to speak their native language, a dog with them. The smell of petrol hid there scent, even still there scent was that of dirt and soil, maybe with a hint of oil as the greasy bars assisted in there disguise. But time passed, there grip more of fear to be seen, but as the convoy began to move once more after a eternity, there yellow eyes open, knowing they are in the clear and no other inspection would come expect Inventory check of the trucks content. The sight of the massive turrets brought fear, how could a kaiju break through that? It seem more like a Iron bastion, but that was behind now, they had to wait for the convoy to unload its goods and be in the clear. The squids made no noise or move, only silence as the convoy made its way towards the next top inside the main Complex itself. But more specifically the storage and unload/loading bay.

Deep within Barodium’s scorched and smoking holding pen, dark scales began to glow red-hot. Barodium’s fiery, depthless eyes opened, and as the great doors slid open the draconic Kaiju unleashed a hellishly loud roar. Even before the doors were entirely clear, Barodium hurled itself into the widening gap.

With a blast of napalm that sizzled harmlessly on the specially-treated floor of the arena, Barodium clawed its way free of the pen it had been sleeping in for the past week.

Barodium was not a stupid creature by any means, but it had a one-track mind revolving around eating, sleeping, and murdering anything that interferes with those two tasks. This imprisonment had hindered all of those pursuits immensely, and Barodium (never a good-natured beast) had grown steadily more furious and aggressive as the testing had worn on. This latest rude awakening had interrupted Barodium’s pleasant dream of a large field of pretty flowers, and its gleeful incineration of said field.

Barodium glared about the space, and reared its horned head to stare at the screen above. It hissed smoke, and unfurled burning bat wings as if about to fly for the tiny humans and obliterate them.

TRETIPK Or "Hunter"
Within the Pen That Contained TRETPIK Or hunter With the Walls riddled with claw marks from the Experimental Kaiju. The kaiju was Sitting there seeming like she was waiting as soon as doors opened, She Let out a Low Growl as she heard the roar of another kaiju. But she Then rushed out of the pen she was in before the door can fully open with some difficulty. She was Finally Free from that Pen and She was Kinda weak But still strong enough to fight if she has too.

TRETPIK Was quite worried about what was going on but she looked around the area to see what is she dealing with and spotted another Kaiju that looked like it was going to attack, but she just let out a growl that indicated a Warning. TRETIPK Wasn't in a mood to fight but if she has to she's ready. The Lion/Plant Kaiju looked at the screen above as her growl got a little louder showing her annoyance.

Frankenstein was awoken from his slumber by the sound of creaking and clunking as his cell moved into position. Moving his head, he could see the door of his containment cell slowly begin to rise as the chains and restraints that had kept him bound were released. Energised from his nap, the impatient monster watched the door intently and, as it reached almost half way up, he crouched underneath it, eager to get out and explore what lay past it.

As he stepped into the arena, the colossal clone placed one hand over his eyes while they adjusted to the light of this new place from the darkness of his cell. Lowering his hand as his vision returned, Frankenstein looked around the grungy metallic interior and saw a screen above his head filled with tiny people. He immediately began bouncing up and down on the spot and pawing towards the screen with a smile on his face as he tried to reach out and touch them. Frankenstein's motives were innocent enough, he merely wanted to play with them, but the staff were probably well aware by now that if he were to get his hands on them his subsequent actions would suggest the complete opposite...

The U.F.O

As the Doctor lead the other scientists and the rest of the Scientific Advisory board followed the young genius checking up onto their little small project. Well, small would be the wrong word, these kanji were so much further than being small like them, though anyways, they had the thought of being in control of these creatures, like the natural food chain didn’t matter to them. The price of being ‘intelligent‘ mammals.

As they walked towards he window where the Kaiju’s different cages were opening they all seem interested in each kaiju as it impatiently barged through the gates opened slowly, releasing different beasts of all sizes and shapes, so being bigger than others and having different body features too. Each of the scientists seemed to be each interested in different kaiju based on their classfied records on each one.

Though as yet another gate slowly opened all the way, a kaiju that seemed to be a simply flat disc and not having any interesting body feathers at all took its time. It took its time with the gate deciding not to come out the gate immediately and to wait until the other kaiju were all released or until it was ordered to.

The kaiju named the ‘U.F.O’ was highly mysterious and little to no information on it, most pictures were all clearly lacking in quality almost seeming like it was fake even. Though to recent discovery scientist realize it has an emp field aeound its smooth shape blocking any photos or recordings of it turning the photos into a complete mess of a photo.

It waited patiently.

One by one, each kaiju would be released into the arena in an almost organized manner; each introducing themselves through their unique body languages and characteristics. The fierce Barodium would emerge in an appropriately fiery entrance, courtesy of a true captive beast with cold predatory eyes; the biological marvel TRETPIK cautiously eyed her fellow captives, bearing her teeth for all to steer clear; the curious mess of the Frankenstein monster's innocence and obliviousness to the world not unlike that of a human child's; and the blank mystique yet captivating geometry that represented the 1950s-depiction of a classic UFO. Dr. Elstein's grin couldn't help but nearly reach the very edges of his mouth, showing them off with his hand outstretched below the screen, but kept the rest of him bottled up in looming anticipation. The tension was thick; a mixed reaction of the very hopes and fears mixing through the start of this project; but the scientist pressed on with a confident exterior.

"Behold!" he announced vigorously, like a circus-man showcasing his prized animal collection, "Ze very subjects veady to embark on zis groundbreaking experiment." There was further commotion amongst the board, a sense of unsure nervousness and jostled note taking. Yet it was during this where one scientist, a younger woman with dark brunette hair dressed in white standard lab-clothing, would raise her hand to inquire. "You're just... letting all four out at the same time?" she asked rather worryingly, as her eyes darted back and forth from the screen to the doctor, "Isn't that a bad id~?"

"Ah ah, do not fear," Dr Elstein ensured with a calming tone, as his finger waves in front, "As I've stated, ze kaiju have a specialized device firmly attached to zeir heads zat allow a variety of frequenzies to ensure zeir compliance. Currently zey project a 'non-aggression' frequenzy towards any who also projekt ze same one. Zeir thoughts are currently independent, but also why you do not see zem engage each otha or breaking out of ze establishment." His gaze returns to the screen, now split into four viewing cameras, observing each subject carefully. Another scientist, an older lanky gentleman with thin white hair and glasses, raises his hand for a turn to speak. "The... living conditions for these individuals seem rather, hmmm how to say, cramped for the lack of a better term." the man commented with additional concern for the kaiju within, "Would explain for their current behavior, even without the little device on their heads. Have you at least been giving them proper freedom to move around and~?"

Dr Elstein's face twisted slightly in mild annoyance for a brief moment as he faced the other scientist with a chuckle. "Zese are dangerous assets, you know?" he replied, keeping forth his cool and confident demeanor, "Believe me, I've attempted to provide for each and every of zeir needs as much as I could. But I can only do so much you know..." The older board member wasn't too convinced by his reply, but simply sat down and continued to watch the events unfold. The doctor nodded, clapped his hands, and pointed at the screen once more, already wanting to get on with the experiments. "Now zen! Let us proceed..."

The massive singular door opposite to where the kaiju cast stood unlocked with a heavy groan, slowly beginning to screeching open. What lain behind was initially a dark void, showing very little of what could possibly be lurking within. Then came the sound of something clanking down the hallway. Within a minute, they would see 12 mechanized entities emerge onto the lit arena in a row of two organized lanes. These 30 meter tall mechanical constructs were the resident "Training Bots", AI controlled-mechs used in non-lethal combat against kaiju or piloted mechs. They were originally part of a surplus of mass-produced American 2040s models utilized in the earlier years of the Great War. While now considered as outdated units, several of these units were bought by Dr. Elstein and modified accordingly to be utilized in his experiments; much like what's about to occur into today's session.

"For ze first 'warm-up' test," he stated to the board as the bots spread out in a U-shaped formation and raise their weapons, "Subjekts are to engage ze training bots as a combined unit. You should ze them attempt to go after ze units without engaging or intentionally harming each other in ze process. " Doctor Elstein takes out a small black comms device, being slightly bigger then a typical deluxe-sized smartphone, that shows six different colored buttons - red, yellow, green, blue, white, and black in that order - on the top half and both a slider contraption and a speaker on the bottom. He raised for the scientists to see, "Zis device allows mein to communicate with each subject and have mein orders tranzlate through particular frequencies and tones zat they instinctually understand. Each colored button zis color-coded to a sole subject, vich I hold to communicate vith them via ze speaker. Vhite button allows mein to speak with all subjekts. And ze black button projekts an electric shock to each or all subjectz if they disobey mein orders. And ze slider controls frequency strength and transmission range."

Once finishing his explanation of the device in question, he takes a pause before pressing the white button to communicate with all the kaiju at once. The doctor gave the simple order.

"All Units: Engage targets."

And thus, in that moment, the first test has begun.

By this time, the bots had split into four groups of three units - each focusing their attention on their selected targets - and began to fire upon them. Their energy weaponry were set to non-lethal blasts, meaning that any blast that hit the subjects would be registered as a shock of electricity. A singular blast wouldn't probably do much to one kaiju, but a few coming down on one at once would sting significantly badly.

Key:
Orange = Squids (Movement = Max 40 Feet per turn; 1 square = 5 Feet)
Green = Military Personnel
Blue = Research Scientists

The squids underneath would clench tightly to the underside of their hitched ride, their bodies squeezing against the bottom to be as flat as possible. The smell of hot petroleum and fuming exhaust was nauseating for anyone underneath these heavy gas-guzzlers; but they would need to push on. Indeed, they had hitched a ride on one of the convoy military trucks making a scheduled delivery to Elstein labs. It was a rather uncommon sight to be seen to approach a realm of science, but they were indeed scheduled to drop off various supplies within a several month period. They were expected; but didn't mean they were to be let in unchecked.

As the convoy stopped just outside the base perimeter for a routine inspection, the guards on duty would carefully inspect the vehicles' cargo. Their search was detailed and through, a few even peaking underneath the chassis of one of the trucks... but they would not detect the two hitchhikers lurking right underneath their noses. They were more worried about contrabands or unauthorized personnel, rather than a potential kaiju threat to blatantly show themselves right at the door. Surely they would know if something like that was to occur. The squids would dodge a grazing bullet, as they entered the research compound; but really they were just entering the dark forest that was this facility.

After a few minutes, the squid's would feel the area around them begin to darken and steadily descend down into an underground location. They had just arrived at one of the loading bays. Various commotions and noises echoed through the chamber, illuminated by the amber light that hung from the ceiling. The trucks would proceed to park in their designated spaces, directed by two researchers, and each reveal a decent soldiers from within. They slowly began to unload their cargo, sending them off wherever they were needed and all nonethewiser as to what lurked underneath one of their trucks.

For their plan to succeed, the squids would have to wait for an opportunity to allow them to move undetected by the troops patrolling the area. It would take a good 15 minutes, give or take, but eventually they would see roughly handful of soldiers still guarding the vicinity. Yet, they were now assisted by two bulky quadrupedal robots looking vaguely reminiscent of dogs. They were just slightly taller than the soldiers, each holding an assault rifle in their hands, being more than capable in shooting down two squids easily on sight.

To the left, one soldier (25x, 22y) was just about to turn a right into the road leading towards the driveway entrance; albeit without hurry. The one standing on the yellow striped caution area (18, 20) had his back turned and was simply hanging around.

Down the middle of their line of sight, was another parked truck alongside several cars. They would be able to take a glimpse of a large bot (7, 13) plondering by to the left.

To their right, two other soldiers would be minding their business; with one checking the nearby truck for other supplies. A mechanical clunking could be heard heading in their direction. The squids would also be immediately flanked by two other cars, providing additional coverage if they so needed.

Now was time to be both quiet and sneaky...

Frankenstein's flailing at the small screen abruptly ended when the massive metal door began to open. The monstrous man-child held his ears as it screeched open, only releasing them with the unpleasant sound finally stopped. He turned towards the source and was met with little more than a black void. He took a few curious steps forward to investigate only to jump back moments later as the sound of clanking began to echo from within. The sound drew slowly closer and closer until twelve towering mechs emerged from the darkness and took up formation inside the arena.

The sheer size and number of the training bots made Frankenstein feel extremely uneasy, much like a small child would if suddenly confronted by twelve strange adults. He scrunched up his body and stood perfectly still, so he would not draw unwanted attention to himself, and then, with fearful eyes, watched and waited for the mechanical strangers to reveal their intent.

Suddenly, Frankenstein heard a voice inside his head. In rather big, fancy words, it commanded him to attack the new arrivals. As the green giant's demented brain took a moment to process the order, he found himself under fire from the energy weapons of three of the training bots. The painful electric shocks the blasts generated told him all he needed to know. These were not scary strangers but friends waiting to be made. Frankenstein did not want to upset these potential new friends and so immediately charged headfirst towards the group, unleashing a shoulder tackle at the closest bot.

TRETIPK Or "Hunter"
TRETIPK looked at the screen quite boredly, but the Lion/ plant Kaiju ears drooped at the screeching door in front of her opening as she took a few steps back. The Kaiju look at the doorway as she stood up on all fours in a defensive stance as her fur bristled in a threatening manner as she heard the sound of giant footsteps coming from the doorway as soon the sud drew closer until a group of mechas came in front of her as she Really Doesn't Like This. TRETIPK looked at the screen and then at the mechas as they got their guns ready and aimed at the kaiju.

"All Units: Engage targets."
The Kaiju tilted her head at the sound as she think it was annoying to hear that voice now and then. But it commanded her to attack the Mechas while at the same time the mechas fired at her as the electrical stung her painfully. The Kaiju was Definitely angry at the mechas shooting her as she didn't waste a friggin Second as she crouched getting ready to pounce on the mecha that she chose and she Pounced on the one that was closest to her with a Fierce roar and slashed at it with furious swipes of her paws.

Barodium violently shook its head, irritated by the buzzing command. Its wings shuddered, and it almost failed to obey… until the scream of electric bolts struck true, arcs of lightning sizzling on stony scales, and Barodium’s innate hostility surged to the surface.

Unlike the innocent, gleeful Frankenstein, or the ineffable UFO, or even the animalistic TRETIPK, Barodium held true and deliberate hatred. It was cut from the same cloth as wolverines, enraged chimpanzees, and lions turned man-eater, and its furious scream was a hellish sound promising only fire to its foes.

Barodium’s jaws yawned wide, the glow in its chest and belly swelling to unbearable brightness, and a gout of napalm exploded from its maw to engulf two of the three robots firing upon it. It exhaled a long blast, maintaining the torrent of fire as long as it could stand before the flames at last exhausted Barodium’s inner reserves.

As Barodium began to replenish its fuel it took wing with a grace unbecoming such a savage and cruel beast, and began to fly towards the raging, smoking inferno it had created, intending to finish off the robots in the blast zone. Thick black smoke ran from the nostrils and jaws, mingling with the thick clouds pouring from the trail of napalm left on the floor of the arena.

Hugin and Munin
"Ths Squid duo"
Interaction: Being sneaky
They knew time was against them, But they have enough of time but the sooner the better. Right now hurry would not be a possibility, guards and scientist were about and killing them was out of the table. Even sneakily, they should not kill a single soul and risk the facility being on lock down. The two squids peeked under, looking at the mere feet of those who passed and reminiscing the close call they had a few moments ago. With that, seeing soldiers seeming not be facing there directly, they could dart under the next truck. There heads boil with ideas they shared without saying a single word. One squid suggested triggering the alarm of one of the cars, someone is bound to look towards it and figure what is it and let them slip by. The other suggested ripping a hole in the oil and let it smother the ground, forcing them to clean it.

Dumb ideas went in and out and soon both decided. Looking over the truck in the opposite side, both squids slowly grappled and moved to the edge of their current truck. looking left and right making sure none looked. The steel echoed from the two robots scared them, the amount of firepower was far from possibility to handle. The first squid in the front darted pass the wide open area as it notice no one was looking in the direction and dragging itself under the truck as quick it could, clinging on to the still hot pipework near the radiator of the vehicle and began to overwatch, seeing the movement of those here. It was hot and would wince in pain, but right now was not the time. Making sure all its 4 tentacled where not visible as pain can be tolerated, but death Cant.

The other squid knew that he would not make it in time, since he was in the back, he might reach the edge of the truck but at that time, someone one might see him and, for now, best hold position until there is a cleaner execution to move. But the small squid moved to be in the same position the other was. Both looked at each other from under the trucks and around as the second squid began to slowly crawl under the 2 adjacent vehicles, Maybe a chance would represent itself soon, but staying in one place, is a death sentence. Separated is not that good of an idea, but if together and one gets caught, it's over for both, as long one made it: the mission was not a failure.
