The sands that were carried through the howling wind made a muted thwack, against the metallic roof of the container. The violent gust outdoors was easy to ignore in the shelter, it was safe here. It was not Juuri's intention to be caught anywhere near tonight's sandstorm, and she was not at all prepared. She would not be able to return home until the storm was quiet. She was not worried. In fact, she was quite calm, even feeling at ease enough to hum a lullaby as she worked. It was a lullaby she had long forgotten the words to, one sang by her grandmother to her and the other young when she was a child. A time before even her first birthmarks had come in.

Now, her hands littered with tens of golden dots, wrung the cloth over her make-shift wash basin. These markings were the tell-tale sign of aging in her family, and hers told the world she has been around for twenty-two cycles. With ginger care, she replaced the folded cloth on the forehead of the stranger. The reason she had been caught in the sandstorm in the first place.

On her way home from a day spent patrolling the borders of her hometown, Avan, for animals wounded after last night's storm, she had spotted the collapsed figure deeper into the wastes. Never one to ignore a helpless creature, Juuri had rode out to it on her steed Jo'ni, a reptilian horse. The beast slept curled up deeper in the container, tired from the day of riding and soothed by Juuri's voice.

She continued humming, brushing the slick dark hair away from the stranger's face. At first glance, Juuri had believed him to be Terran, a distant cousin of Tameruian people. But the unnatural coolness of his skin perplexed her, at first giving the appearance he was dead.

There is sand whipping round him as he lands stumbling and nearly falling as his feet hit the ground of the strange planet he had landed on. All his streangth is drained and he feels weak after all holding a illusion for that long had drained him mostly of all his power and made him exhausted. Let alone to mention the fact that he had had to use lots to make the illusion solid something that he had dent done in ages and drains him verry quickly of all energy.

As he falls to his knees he starts to shake as he looks round his eyes are stinging and sore there is a lot of sand around and the sky looks like there is a storm starting to brew he needs to move and fast. But no matter how hard he trys to get up he is unable to and feeling the last of his energy drain he feels his vision start to blur. as panic starts to fill him he trys to stay awake but its no use he slumps sideways and passes out sinking into the sand.

There is warmth thats the first thing that he feels as he starts to come to and a cool sensation on his forehead as he takes a shaky breath deeper than before. As he starts to come round his head still feels verry heavy and fuzzy almost his thoughts and memories starting to become entangled.

At the stirring of the unconscious man, Juuri paused her humming, watching the features of his face as they twitched. When she had first found him, it was obvious he was suffering of over-exertion and exhaustion, among minor injuries. She turned back to her wash basin, grabbing her bowl and herb crusher. It was a good thing she had been prepared to treat the wounded animals in the wild when stumbling upon him, or else he would have suffered greatly.

She mixed the medicinal herbs with some honey and drink, then began to crush them. After a few moments, she was satisfied, and placed the bowl at the lips of the waking. "Daun," she soothed, gently urging the medicine into him, then "Drink," she repeated in common tongue. Juuri did not wish to startle him, and resumed her lullaby, hoping it would calm the confusion in this poor man's mind. Coming awake in an unfamiliar place could be quite distressing. She had treated many of the animals Avan cared for, as well as the sickness her own people fell victim to.

Just like the last, the sandstorm would rage deep into the night, and she hoped to keep this man here while he recovered enough energy to make the journey back to her home. In the morning she would go and get the proper leaves for bandages to treat his flesh wounds. Juuri believed the alien would recover nicely, and then he would be able to tell her what he was.
