Why stop dreaming when you wake up?
Maeve honestly wasn't sure how she got pulled into this mess. But she supposed messes on Earth is what she dealt with, and was pretty much her job. Because the only physically different appearance of her compared to humans were her point ears, it was relatively easy for her to blend in on Earth. And because Earth was one of the nine worlds in their system, Maeve was sort of like the representative of the Light Elves of Alfheim to watch over Earth. So, while she often resided on Earth to help protect and watch over it, Maeve didn't see the need as to why.

In the past, they certainly needed the protection. They were considered one of the weakest of the nine worlds, the humans having no apparent abilities like most of the other worlds did. However, because Maeve watched over Earth on the planet itself, she noticed a change. The humans were become much more adaptable - as was one of their known admired traits as humans. There seemed to be more of them taking up the task of protecting their world. But somehow, despite Maeve feeling her presence was becoming less needed, she'd been pulled into this grouping of abnormally special humans, something that they seemed to be trying to make an actual thing, and calling the Avengers.

Maeve didn't particularly care about any of that, however, considering the Earth current threat was one that not only, obviously, threatened the Earth, but could potentially become disastrous to the other worlds should Loki get his hands on the tesseract, she figured they might need her help. They'd all been pulled in for their different abilities, though Maeve, was more so of her knowledge and because this involved something out-worldly, Fury had found her for her help in hopefully being able to know more about Loki and predict his intentions. She hadn't ever met Loki, but she did know of him. He was pretty well known in Asgard, and because Alfheim was close with Asgard, they too knew of him.

Peter was still relatively new to the whole superpowers and superhero sort of world. While he certainly enjoyed it, and it had been of course his own decision upon acquiring his newfound abilities, it was still unfamiliar to him. Though he felt like he belonged, and despite constantly putting his life in danger....that might be part of the reason that gave him such a thrill of his new job of sorts. The whole world of superheroes though was still pretty new to him though, so when he'd been approached by a man from an organization called SHIELD, he wasn't quite sure what to make of it. But hearing they could use his help, and it wasn't just citizens of New York that were in danger, but possible the entire world, he didn't hesitate to take up the job, despite still not really knowing what exactly he'd be fighting and doing.

All he knew was his help was needed, and he was more than glad to give it and help however he could. He was sure he would learn more about this organization and what was happening when he got to where they were all meeting up, apparently. He also guessed that because he was relatively new to the superhero world, that he was one of the more recent emerging heroes of New York, which is why they'd come to him - along with others - for the help they were looking for. And the fame was certainly something Peter was not used to. He didn't mind it, of course, and loved seeing himself as one of the heroes in the newspaper and on the front pages - even with a mask on. It was so different to his secluded, quite and basically invisible life before this.

Currently, Peter was on board the large...ship, of sorts, as he was in awe as he walked around being lead by this Russian woman, who was pretty blunt, and not much of the joking type. Of course, Peter was still dressed up in his suit, much as when he had been found by a member of SHIELD recruiting his help on behalf of Fury's request. So far he'd done well not to let anyone known about who he really was, and he planned to keep it that way. His other life, as he considered it, his normal student life, was so much different than this one, he couldn't imagine the two of them clashing and becoming one, so he intended to remain known to the world only as Spiderman.

Hailey was still at home debating about whether or not she wanted to go. She didn't like the idea of running around looking for some 'god' or at least that's what they decided to call him. She wasn't completely convinced that thibk was a god but then again she had seen some pretty strange things since she had been around the superhero business.

Even so this didn't seem like her area of expertise. This was something for the professionals and Hailey hardly considered herself one. She was just a high schooler. Her biggest concern should be getting to class on time and finding a boyfriend who wasn't a complete jerk (they were so hard to find). She let out a slight sigh as she looked out her window to the big city of New York. She watched as people wandered around going to and from somewhere to see someone. What if she didn't go and all of this ceased to exist. "I'm going to regret this," Hailey muttered to herself before going to her closet and looking for her black and dark blue suit.
~
Loki was busy milling around Germany. It was late at night but that didn't seem to bother him. There was a massive and rather fancy get together going on in Berlin and he was headed for the heart and center of it with his newly turned companion. He wasn't sure what it was for and then again he didn't really care.

It was a hassle but he finally got what he needed and of course he caused a bit of chaos while he was in town. That was what he was best at and he loved every moment of it. He loved the fear in their eyes, the hopelessness in their screams. He was in pure heaven.

Maeve sighed as she looked out the window of the large flying shipe sort of aircraft that they were on. She had to admit, she was further convinced of the humans adaptability. But it seemed that they still could be too reliant on others sometimes. While her job on earth was for the purpose of helping protect it, she didn't particularly enjoy being ordered around to do so, especially by these humans. But for the sole fact that it involved Loki, she would oblige for now. He was a wanted man in many of the sister worlds - Asgard most of all, of course.

It wasn't long until they had found him, in Germany, and it seemed that he wasn't trying to hide at all. It didn't surprise Maeve, since he was known for flaunting himself. But she knew he was smart, and certainly had something up his sleeve, So even as she left with the group to capture him, she was wary of what exactly he was up to. Why was he causing a scene - and what for? She stayed back at first, since Captain America, old fashioned as ever, thought it was his duty as a soldier and man to take on the fight instead of her. She found this humorous, actually - especially when he didn't seem to be faring so well. "Would you like some help now?" she commented as she approached just as the Captain was thrown back once again.

~

It didn't take them long to find this 'God' that they were looking for, and Peter was still trying to get a grasp on all of this knowledge that he was presented with when they were already heading to capture the guy. Peter pretty much stayed on the small aircraft that they took while Captain America and the Elf went to go capture Loki. Peter was still new to being a superhero, which in itself was kind of mythical and nonsense to most humans. But Gods, other realms, and elves....? Even Peter hadn't really believed in those sorts of things. He believed in the freak accidents and such, because of course, he himself was one with that spider that bit him in the first place, but gods and elves were nothing but folklore. Well, until now, apparently.

Peter was still getting a grasp for all these new things he had to accept and believe in, so he pretty much stayed on the ship with Black Widow as he watched Captain America and the Elf go in to try and capture the supposed God of sorts. Even if he really was God....he wouldn't be easy to catch then, right? As he watched the fight unfold, Spiderman jumped out of the aircraft as the people started to panic and run everywhere, and so he focused on helping them get away safely without hurt themselves or anything.

Hailey found out where they had gone and quickly made her way to Germany. She had miraclously arrived just in time as she sat on a roof top, hidden by the darkness, and watched as the fight unfolded. It was clear that this Loki or whatever his name was was strong.

She watched as one of her colleagues went after the god but he was only able to occupy him for a short time. It was hard to find his weakness but perhaps sneaking up on him was a good call. She willed herself to disappear from view before hopping down from her high perch.

Loki threw the Captain back for a second time but this time he tossed him into the red and blue tight wearing mortal. He was getting annoyed by this. They thought they could actually take him on? It was almost comical. "You are a foul to believe that you have the power to cause me harm, mortal," he spat at the Captain with a wide smirk on his lips,"You have absolutely no idea who you're dealing wi-"

Suddenly though, Hailey wrapped her legs around his neck and flipped him onto the ground. It looked a bit comical actually since she couldn't be seen. Loki growled in irritation as he grabbed the spear and looked around for whatever did that.

As the captain just kept getting thrown back, Maeve was about ready to join in since it seemed the humans couldn't quite handle it. As she was about to attack though, she blinked a bit in confusion as he was suddenly flipped around seemingly by nothing, and she looked baffled for a moment. Her elven ears twitched a bit as she honed her hearing in on Loki, and could hear a second set of breathing aside from Loki himself, and she realized someone else was there. Or something - she couldn't quite tell, only that her hearing could pick up another living thing had seemed to cause this.

She smirked a bit "I think we know exactly who we're dealing with" she said as her hand started to cover in ice as she approached the man while he was still pinned. Normally, she could just freeze him in place without touching him, and from a distance, but since someone else was there, she didn't want to get them as well. Grabbing his hands, she threw the weapon out of his hands, and bound his hands together with Ice, before looking in the general direction she could hear the invisible person breathing "You can let go now. Good job" she said with a smile, before pulling Loki to his feet "Don't think that's ordinary ice you'll be able to shatter. Feel free to try, but you'll be sorely disappointed."

Peter had been focused on helping escort the people before Loki had the time to direct his power and wrath towards them again. He got them to get away safely while the others seemed to be doing a good job at distracting Loki. However, at one point and seeming unprepared, the Captain was thrown away once again, but this time, directly into himself. He grunted as they both collided and fell back into the ground, tumbling on top of each other, before they regained their composure. Though Peter was quicker to it than the other male, who had taken quite a few hits and had been struggling the most against Loki.

Peter got up, and was about to try tying the enemy up with his web, but he paused when just moments before he was about to do that, Loki flipped himself over and Peter looked baffled - though it didn't quite show considering his mask. "Um....what just happened?" he spoke in confusion, seeing the Elf also confused but seeming to figure out something that the rest of them were unaware to. He thought the elf might be crazy when she seemed to be speaking to thin air for a moment, and was only further confused.

Hailey kept the 'god' pinned until help finally arrived. A woman-well if she could even call her that as she clearly wasn't human- approached her and restrained the maniac down. She got up quickly when she saw the ice emanate from her hand and watched the ice form around him. She had never seen anything like that before.

She became visible to them as she crossed her arms over her chest. The suit look similar to Peter's but the colors were much darker, helping her camouflage with the night and shadows. "My pleasure," she said in her slight Russian accent before looking at the two men.

"You must be the Mirage," Steve said as he put his shield back on his arm.

"Very good Captain," she said with a nod.

Loki glared at the elf as he did try for a moment to pull at the restraint but it was no use. He may be smart but when it came to physical strength, well let's just say he was lacking.

He glared at the mortal as he finally got his first glimpse of the individual. It was almost humiliating to see that a mortal and a woman no less was the one to stop him.

Steve walked over and picked up the scepter and pried it from Loki's grasp. "I'll take that," he said with a rather irritated look on his face. Loki did his best to keep his composure but he was known for his temper.

Pulling Loki up onto his feet, Maeve nodded to the human girl as she revealed herself and was introduced. She kept her arm grasped onto Loki's forearm to keep him from thinking about running away or anything, and smirked a bit in amusement as she watched Captain America take the scepter irritably away from Loki, clearly annoyed with the weapon. Maeve didn't say anything, before she started to lead Loki onto the aircraft Natasha had been piloting, and had set down and landed so they could all board.

Maeve pushed Loki down into one of the seats, strapping him in, and with his hands bound, he couldn't undo the buckles or anything to try and get up, Maeve sat across from him to keep a close eye on him, crossing her arms over her chest "You're pretty popular now aren't you? It seems everyone wants you, though not for your most ideal reasons" she commented.

As the figure had finally revealed herself, Peter knew who she was instantly. Since he had become a superhero, he kept up to date with all the papers and anything that was published about any of the other heroes, so he was aware of who she was - and just about all the other heroes he was working with too. Well, the human ones, from earth, anyways. It was one of his many nerdy traits that caused his interest to grow in knowing about the others, especially since he recently became a superhero himself, so he was even more interested in the business of sorts.

"It's great to finally meet you, I'm Spiderman - if you don't already know" he commented, holding out his hand to shake, not wanting to be arrogant and assume that because he was in papers, she would know about him like he did of her. He was still new after all. Before anything further could be said though, the elf had snapped at them to save greetings for later and to board the ship so they could be back on their way again.

Hailey nodded slightly at the woman before looking over at the man and the red and blue unitard. Did she usually look like that because if so then maybe it was time for a wardrobe. "I've heard of you," she responded as she walked over though she didn't move to shake his hand, "You are the...public menace of Queens or so I hear." One of the local newspapers, the Daily Bugle, had made it their goal to take him down, but it clearly wasn't working out since many New Yorkers adored him. She wasn't really in great standing with the newspapers either but she didn't attract near enough attention as he did.

She watched as the god got loaded into the ship before following the elf's orders and getting onboard. It wasn't long before they lifted off and headed for the sky. Hailey turned her attention back to the Spider-Man and tilted her head. "So we got him. Now what?" she asked.

Loki rolled his eyes at the elf as he was strapped into the ship. He wanted to strike back with his silver tongue but he figured that for now it would be best if he kept his mouth shut. He sat back and listened to the group as the ship lifted off the ground and took to the sky. He figured that he was going back to their base simply because they didn't have everything they needed. The Tesseract was still missing.

"We need to find the Tesseract," Steve said to Hailey who looked back at Loki, "He still won't cough up it's location."

"I've sent it off though I know not where," Loki replied rather slickly. It was clear that none of them believed him but still they were no closer to finding it or getting any answer out of him.

Noticing Loki seemed agitated by her words but chose not to say anything, she just smirked a bit in response, before looking over at the rest of the group as they spoke while they took off back into the air. She listened idly as they all seemed to be catching up and getting familiar with each other, though Maeve herself didn't particularly have any interest in that. She was just quietly listening to learn more about the group as they conversed, before they seemed to be flying straight into a storm that had appeared out of nowhere.

When Loki seemed to be getting particularly nervous and uncomfortable about the lightening, Steve seemed to notice this and make a sort of joke, smirking a bit at the man "What's the matter? Afraid of a little lightening?" Captain America jested a bit. When Maeve heard Loki's response though, she frowned a bit and stood up readily. Was he referring to Thor? It wouldn't surprise Maeve for Thor to go after Loki himself, since she knew of their relationship, since she was on friendly terms, and even acquaintances with Thor.

As he officially introduced himself to Mirage, he smiled happily at her saying she knew who he was, though it faltered a bit at her comment to one of the few handful of papers that weren't particularly fond of him, and he just groaned a bit with a roll of his his eyes - which wasn't visible, of course - as he just sighed "That's not true! Honestly, I don't know what those people have against me. I think I'm doing a lot of good there, and they just don't even appreciate it" he sighed with a shrug of his shoulders, before the jet suddenly jolted forward and rocked as a storm appeared out of nowhere.

Peter frowned, walking forward towards the pilot area, looking out of the windows "Where did this come from out of no where?" he questioned, before Loki seemed to grow a bit uneasy in his seat where he was stuck, and Peter turned his attention back onto him, though before he could ask, the jet jolted forward again as he put a hand on the wall to stabilize himself "What in the-" he flinched as it seemed something large and heavy just landed on the roof of their jet.

Hailey smirked slightly thought it wasn't visible under her mask. "I guess you're probably right. I don't know if you are dangerous enough to be a public menace," she said before looking over at the Captain. It was a bit annoying that they were trying to extract that information from him yet. Then again, she wasn't sure how they would even do it in a small space like this one.

Loki rolled his eyes at the two talking as he looked around the ship. They weren't in the sky for more than two minutes before there was a crack of thunder. Loki looked up rather nervously, his eyes darting around trying to figure out if was just another storm or if his brother was actually near. "I'm not particularly fond of what follows," he commented rather quietly.

Suddenly a large man with long blonde hair and rather large muscles flew in with a hammer in his right hand. He quickly removed the restraints holding Loki down and pulled Loki from the chair.

"Hey!" Hailey snapped but before she could do anything the two disappeared into the storm, "Who the hell was that?"

Hearing Mirage seem to agree with him at first, Peter grinned a bit and nodded his head enthusiastically in response to her words "Yeah yeah! You see, I am right! There's no way they should then I'm some sort of menace!" he agreed promptly, before it slowly seemed to register in his head just what exactly she had said, and he paused a bit in consideration over her words.

"Hey....wait a minute! I definitely am dangerous! Very dangerous, in fact! I'll have you know I can-" he started to defend his strength and validity as a superhero, before their conversation was suddenly interrupted by a muscular blond male that burst into the jet and before any of them could really have time to react accordingly, same said blond man was gone with Loki. Watching as Maeve just jumped out after them, hardly saying much - she seemed more the quite type - he just tilted his head, looking to Maeve with a shrug "A friend of hers?" he guessed casually, before Steve was grabbing gear and on the move out, before Black Widow was warning him it better not to follow, as they were basically gods, though Steve didn't seem at all bothered or phased by that, before promptly following out of the plane. Peter just stood there a moment "Um....are we supposed to follow?"

Steve just looked confused at Loki's response, not understanding it, or liking the uncertain implications that it left hanging in the air. He watched Loki's eyes darting around, and the Captain started to do the same, not quite sure what they should be expecting. Thunder? Did he not like thunder that followed lightning? Soon enough though it was explained to them what exactly it was Loki had been anticipating, or more so a who, rather than a what. However, who this large man was none of them knew. Aside from Loki....and it seemed possibly the elf girl as well.

After hearing Loki's response, Maeve stood up a bit more attentive. Perhaps Loki was just trying to mess with their heads? It wouldn't be uncharacteristic of him, that's for sure. Mind games were like a pastime to the male, if not more. However, none other than Thor himself did come crashing through the jet, and without much struggle, he was soon off with their captive enemy. She cursed under her breath, quickly moving to the open exit of the back of the jet where Thor had left with his adoptive brother "I'll explain later" she said barely in response to Mirage's question about who it was, not wanting to waste time as she jumped out of the plane to follow them.

Hailey rose a brow as she watched Maeve jump out of the jet before looking over at Spider-Man. "I think it might be optional," she said as she watched the Captain dive out of the plane and after the trio. She walked over to the ramp and looked down before looking back at Peter. "Come on," she said as she grabbed a bit of gear before walking back over to the ramp, "I mean unless you're too scared."

She smirked slightly hoping out after the rest of the crew. It didn't take her long to near the ground but she wasn't entirely sure where the rest of them have scurried off to though it didn't take long to hear a bit of commotion off in the distance. She started running towards the noise in search of its source.

Loki hit the ground roughly in Thor's grasp. He lectured him of course, but Loki took no interest in anything his brother had to say. He didn't know what he had seen or what he had been through. He was the perfect child, the favorite son of Odin. Well now Thor could have his kingdom and Loki could have his. It was only fair after all.

"You listen well brother," Thor started but suddenly he was taken out by Maeve. Loki stood there rather sassily with an annoyed look on his face as he watched his brother tumble down the hill.

"I'm listening?"

Maeve quickly followed After Loki and Thor. Although she was similarly on the same side as THor in a sense, where she believed that Asgard should be the ones to deal with Loki, as well as the fact that the tessaract should not be in humans hands. However, at the same time, she was helping them becuase she wanted to find the tessaract, to be sure it could be secured, and unavailable for anyone. As she dove through the air, she tackled Thor to the ground.

"Thor, listen to me! We are not your enemy!" she spoke quickly, not wishing to fight him. She didn't see the need to - there was no need to, especially considering they knew each other, Maeve didn't want to have to fight him. "Believe me, I want the same for Loki as you do. I am well aware he belongs to Asgard, but Midgard (Earth) still needs him, we need to find the tessaract" she tried to explain to him.

~

Peter just shrugged when Mirage commented it seemed to be an optional thing "Well....Loki went that way. And our job is to capture him and bring him back right? So....we probably should go. Or do you think that they have it under control? Do you think they really are gods? Oh man, that's really cool though if they are! Even if one of them is the bad guy, to physically meet a god is pretty cool!" he exclaimed as he went on in excitement as his mind wandered, not even realizing Mirage was already about to leave.

Blinking a bit, his eyes widened "O-oh yeah! Wait for me!" he quickly jumped out of the plane, able to use his web abilities to catch himself and break any fall he might have to land or anything. He used the nearby trees surrounding them to catch himself and gently hit the ground with a slower momentum, before quickly chasing after Mirage who was slightly ahead of him "hey! Wait up!" he called, quickly catching up to her and following her towards the direction of all the noise.

Well one thing was true: Spider-Man asked a lot of questions. She hadn't bothered to answer any of them while she was getting herself situated but she was questioning whether or not she could actually do anything to actually stop this god. Probably not but she at least needed to try and help the others. She had chosen to accept the task after all and that task was to bring Loki and the Tesseract into shield.

She heard Spider-Man call after her and she did take a moment to let him catch up. "Before you ask, no I don't have a plan and no I don't plan on getting one," Hailey said to him before taking off once more with him at her side.

Thor eyed her for a moment. He didn't know her personally but it was clear that she was from one of his neighboring worlds. He pushed her off of him before sending his hammer into her, forcing her back into a tree, and making it fall over.

"Woah!" Hailey yelped as she jumped back as the tree began to fall backwards.

"I have little time for your games," he snapped at the elf, "He is coming back to Asgard with me. The Tesseract isn't my concern."

Hailey moved quickly as the blonde haired god took a few steps in Loki's direction. Her hand lit up with a light blue beam before she sent it into the god's back, shoving him into the ground. She watched in horror as he got up rather quickly and glared at both her and Spider-Man.

As Maeve was trying to reason with Thor, her eyes widened as as his hammer came flying at her, and she gasped out, grunting in pain as she slammed back into a tree, the trunk snapping in half from the force and falling over. She glared and got back up onto her feet "I do not wish to fight with you, Thor. I can promise you I will help deliver Loki back to Asgard. But first we need him to find the Tesseract" she snapped, before the tree went flying at Thor, though he easily brushed it off, and Maeve glanced in the direction of the two new arrivals.

Peter had quickly followed along after Mirage, before she already spoke up the questions on his mind, and his eyes widened a bit "Whoa - wait, can you read minds too? How many superpowers do you have?!" he asked in awe and curiosity, before they arrived at the scene and he quickly came to a halt. The fallen tree Mirage threw at the supposed God seemed to have little to no effect though, and Peter grew nervous - and amazed, in a way. "See now, this is why I really think it would have been a good idea to have a plan. I mean, considering were facing a God and all, it seems like it would just be the smart sort of thing to do, don't you think?" he rambled on, before quickly dodging an attack.

As Thor first made an attack towards Captain America, Maeve quickly froze the ground beneath Thor, causing his feet to slip from beneath him. It was in that moment that Spiderman had quickly taken to action, spinning the web out from his hand while coating it around Thor's body, binding his arms to his sides and to the ground.

Hailey did her best to ignore Spider-Man's questions and just shook her head in despair. Though it wasn't long before the boy was spinning a web and entrapping the god in it. "You talk a lot," Hailey noted in a bit of an annoyed voice. She had never heard so many questions in her life.

Loki watched with a smirk on his lips as the 'avengers' or so they called themselves battled his brother. They weren't nearly as strong as Thor but when they worked together they seemed to be able to handle him alright. He could tell that his brother was not amused in the slightest though as he did his best to rip through the white webbing that the spider had produced.

Thor was quick to figure out there was no easy way out of this. He let out a sigh as he looked at the elf before looking at Loki. "Look why don't you stay and help us and once we find the Tesseract you can take your weird brother home?" Hailey suggested as she gazed down at Thor. It was clear the god didn't want to do that but it appeared that was how it was going to work out.

"Fine," he muttered in a rather defeated tone.

As he finished tying down the long blond haired male, he looked to Mirage at her comment of him talking a lot "Oh, do I? Is that bad?" he commented curiously, having no idea. After all, he was still pretty new to the superhero world and everything. He didn't know how these things really worked or went. And more specifically, he was new to being a superhero himself, so he was especially inexperienced when dealing and working with others. He'd never had before, so it was honestly all very exciting to him.

As Thor seemed to give in once seeing that he was clearly outnumbered and it would be difficult to take them all on and still handle Loki, Maeve was relieved when he had given in and agreed. Though she was also slightly irritated, crossing her arms over her chest "That is literally exactly what I had just proposed to you, yet you couldn't have agreed sooner?" she huffed in slight irritation at Thor with a shake of her head.

Unfreezing the ground beneath the God, she motioned to the red and blue suited male "Hey, spider-kid, or what was it, you wanna let go of him now?" she inquired to the webbing that was still sticking all over Thor, despite his attempts to tear at it. While Thor was now taken care of, Maeve went back over to retrieve Loki so they could get back on track with this mission.

Peter frowned a bit, enthused by the elf getting his name wrong "It's spider-MAN" he huffed, a bit childishly in protest, before quickly going over to Thor's side and helping get the webbing off of him so he could get up. "Ah, well, sorry about that, Mr. Thor sir. I mean, you're a God right? Or well, that's what they say anyways. But I just want to say it's an honor to meet a real God! So uum....s-sorry about all that web and everything, hahah...." he laughed nervously, going on again in his spiel of talking.

"Not so much bad more like annoying," she corrected as she looked over at him. She too was new to the superhero game and even when she did intervene, she was usually dealing with petty thieves or small scale criminals of the sort. Now she was fighting off gods. Well this was going to be interesting.

She watched as Thor started to rip off the webbing with his bare hands, showing off how strong he actually was before holding out his hand causing the hammer to fly into it. Wow and she thought she was a weirdo. Definitely not compared to what she had seen here today.

Loki got to his feet when Maeve arrived at his side. Serena thought it was a bit odd that he had stayed so perfectly still while all this chaos had been going on. They were in the middle of a forest; he could have easily disappeared. But yet, here he was waiting for them to take him into custody. It just felt wrong.

Soon the team was heading back to shield and they arrived back on the massive helicarrier. As soon as they landed, guards boarded the plane and took Loki into custody. The god could hardly imagine that they had anything strong enough to actually hold him, and he was right. They put him in a glass prison and was told if he made the wrong move they would drop him out of the sky. Loki wasn't too worried about that as he had survived far worse.

Before long, they were all back on the jet and then on the helicarrier. Though the jet was a bit of a tight fit with all of them cramped into it. Thankfully it wasn't that long of a ride until they were on the massive airship, and Maeve gladly got out from the cramped space. She watched as there were guards of Shield who immediately took and escorted Loki to where he would be held, and Maeve just watched with a bit of uncertainty.

Something that bothered her was why he hadn't even attempted to escape. Loki was a very smart man, he might have been able to escape with them all having been distracted with Thor. Why hadn't he? And even from when they first captured him, she still felt it had been all too easy. He had something planned, and they needed to know what. Right now Fury was taking care of him though, threatening him in his chamber with how he would be disposed of if necessary and everything.

When Mirage actually corrected him and told him that if anything it was more annoying than bad, specifically, he paused in his actions and his words "Oh....oh really? I'm sorry, I didn't realize. I guess I'm not really used to working with other people - not that I mind, of course! It's great to work with such amazing people like you, and Iron-man, and everyone else! It's just such a great experience and - oh....oh right, too much talking. Right, right, sorry" he nodded his head to himself as he shut himself up as he started going on again talking a lot.

Before long they had all eventually gotten back to where their main base was, the flying ship-craft thing of sorts - Peter didn't know what to consider it as. But it sure as hell was definitely cool. They were greeted by Fury, who lead Loki off with a couple other agents of SHIELD first, before the rest of them started to head inside and disperse, gathering whatever own information they wanted at the moment, Tony and Bruce were in the lab area, doing tests on Loki's scepter as well as still attempting to locate the Tesseract, while others went off wherever else.

Hailey shook her head slightly as he began to speak simply because he was already starting to go off on a tangent. She smiled though it wasn't visible past her mask. Soon they arrived at a massive center which she could only assume to be headquarters. She walked off of the cruiser and walked onto the platform. "Wow this thing is insane," she commented as she looked around.

As she climbed off the platform, she pulled her mask off and her blonde locks came tumbling down her back. She brushed her hair back and looked back at the spider. "This place is actually pretty cool," she commented.

Loki watched as the man spoke to him about behaving and he had to admit that it was tempting to act out but he knew better. His plan was going exactly as he had presumed it would and he didn't believe anyone suspected a thing. He would have to proceed cautiously though as he wasn't familiar with any of them except for his brother.

He watched as the man with eyepatches disappear out of the room before Loki gratefully took a seat in his cell. He settled in and waited for everything to unfold. If everything went as he thought it would, he wouldn't be here long. He just needed to wait for his accomplice to show.

Maeve headed inside once they had landed, watching as some of the people went off on their own. She found Fury when he was done threatening Loki to behave, and talked with him a bit wanting to know more about her plans. While she was stationed on earth to help protect it, she didn't like getting too involved in their ongoing, and this was a pretty big thing too, it seemed to be turning out to be. But because it involved otherworldly aspects, particularly the Tesseract, she wanted to make sure everything would be safe. Which is also why she was asking Fury a lot of questions, specifically, his intentions for the Tesseract. It bothered her he didn't go too much into detail about it, however.

Sighing, she decided to do more investigating of her own, this time, of Loki. She headed to the chamber that was actually supposed to be used for Bruce if he got out of control, and she walked in, finding him sitting and seeming to contemplate something. Well, being locked up left a lot of time for one to be with their mind. Approaching the tank, she spoke up "You seem awfully calm for someone who is losing" she inquired.

As they arrived on the landing station for the smaller aircrafts, Peter unintentionally stuck around Mirage as they headed inside, and he nodded his head a bit "Isn't it? It's amazing!" he said, having been on it briefly before. But it was only for a short time before they had been sent out to go capture Loki since he had been pretty quickly located - where they had found him.

As they walked though and Mirage pulled her mask of, Peter's eyes widened "H-Hailey??" he couldn't help but blurt out in awe as she revealed herself. It wasn't so much that she was revealing her face around others so much that surprised him, since she obviously wasn't bothered by it. But more specifically....because of who's face it was that was under that mask. He had never imagined that someone he knew would also be a sort of superhero - and more specifically, the most popular girl at school. He'd never imagined her to be the type to be a fighter - then again, most wouldn't pick peter, the school intellectual and nerd, to be a fighter either.

Hailey jumped slightly when she heard her name and she quickly turned around. How did this guy know her name? She thought about it for a moment before realizing she never did. "Um...do I know you?" she asked rather nervously. Perhaps revealing her identity wasn't the best idea but she knew of a few heros who already had revealed their identities and they were doing fine.

Hailey crossed her arms at the man as she thought about who it could possibly be. She was fairly popular around school so perhaps it was someone's brother or something.

Loki had just begun to relax when his silence was interrupted by a set of footsteps that entered the room. He looked around a tad eagerly just to see who it was. He did love the newly found attention he had finally received and in his mind he deserved it. His father had neglected him for years but now he was finally receiving some newly found attention.

"How do you know I'm not upset?" he asked a bit disappointedly when he heard the elf's voice, "I thought it was going to be someone important." He sat himself back down as he cocked his head to one side. He could tell that she felt something was off and that the curiosity was killing her. "Something on your mind?" he asked tentatively.

Hearing him trying to mock her and get under her skin, she just rolled her eyes as she crossed her arms over her chest carelessly, "If you were upset, I'm pretty sure we would all be more than aware. You're pretty well known y'know - that's what you want isn't it? So congrats. But I've heard plenty stories of you and the tantrums you throw when things don't go your way" she said casually trying to get under his own skin, knowing he didn't like being belittled or talked down to or anything.

She leaned against a railing as she looked to him as he seemed to act disinterested, and she shrugged her shoulders at his question "Isn't something on yours?" she turned the question back to him, recalling how she'd walked in and saw him seemingly lost in thought, probably about his next plans and actions he would take. She just wondered if she would be able to figure them out.

When she jumped and the reaction he had gotten from her at calling her name, he knew he couldn't be mistaken. That's what he had first told himself. He must have been mistaken. Perhaps it was someone that just looked a lot like Hailey. And the part of him that was still not used to this superhero world, and surrounded by all these amazing heroes and gods and such around him, part of him wanted some sort of familiarity, a familiar face.

Peter hardly didn't even the fact he had called her name out, until she had reacted, and he knew it was her. As she grew uncertain of him, he hesitated a moment, glancing around. Well, no one was around them other than the people of SHIELD and these other heroes and such. There was no one he knew aboard to see him, aside from her, right? "Um, Well, sort of. I don't really know if you know who I am but..." he said as he pulled off his own mask "We go to the same school. It's Peter."

Hailey listened to him with a rather stunned look on her face when he took his mask off. She didn't know him personally but she knew his name: Peter Parker. He was some sort of wiz kid at school who seemed to know anything and everything, especially when it came to science.

"You're Spider-Man?" she asked with a bit more disbelief than she had intended. I mean Peter never seemed like the superhero type but...maybe that's why his secret was so easy to keep. It was like the perfect cover. "I know you," she admitted with a slight nod, "You're the one that Flash and the football team always picks on." She knew that those guys could be real jerks and they were really just going after Peter and his friends because they were smarter than everyone else.

Loki appeared rather insulted by her words. He didn't throw tantrums and he most certainly didn't do it when he didn't get his way. Loki had snapped and he blamed his father for everything that happened to him. He felt used and lied to and no one else seemed to care about what Loki had suffered his entire life. "Don't act like you know about my past," he snapped at her, "You don't have a clue about what I've seen nor what I've done."

He let himself relax after a moment as he didn't want her to get inside his head. He had to remember that he had the upper hand in all of this and the less she knew about that the better. "I have many things on my mind but I wouldn't expect you to understand a single one of them," he replied.

Maeve couldn't help but smirk a bit as he responded just how she expected, and he snapped at her irritably. Honestly, she was surprised that she had gotten under his skin so quickly. But she guessed it was another thing that proved accurate to the stories she had heard of him. As she spoke, she raised a brow as he snapped how she knew nothing of him and his past, or anything about him at all. "Really? Why don't you enlighten me then?" she inquired.

She watched as he seemed to catch himself and calm himself down, before he spoke up again a bit more calmly than before, having seemed to compose himself - on the outside at least, anyways. She watched him curiously as she stepped a bit closer to the glass containment, though still keeping a relative distance "Try me" she spoke with amusement.

Peter wasn't surprised by the disbelief in her tone, nor was he offended by it or anything. If anything, it was a good thing, as that only proved all the more how unlikely it would be for anyone to figure out that he was Spider-man, and this other life of his he now had as a superhero. He smiled a bit nervously, nodded his head "Yup. The one and only" he lamely responded. Well, there were obvious reasons why he never made it as a cool kid in school, aside from his brainiac intelligence and all.

When she commented about how she did know him, he was a bit surprised, someone like her, in a completely different class and league than himself, would know his name, and he couldn't help but boyishly smile a bit in pride at that fact. Though it faltered and he flinched when she brought up how she knew him, and glanced away awkwardly "er, yeah....not exactly how I prefer to be remembered..." he muttered with a sigh.
