The Thundering Mustelid
Set in an alternate marvel universe in the year 2018, this world is very similar to the comics. Steve rogers fought in world war 2 and was frozen until 2001. This story takes place Immedieatly after the defeat of Ultron's army, his plan was different however he was steering an extinction level Meteor to earth using a gravitational technology. Luckily he was stopped, destroyed, and the same technology is now used as a defense against such things. Yet the major difference is not within the avengers but within mutant kind. Professor X and Magneto never existed. Due to this mutant had no where to turn in response to the worlds hatred. Tension between humans and mutants rose until A mutant by the Name of Nitro Kicked off the M-wars by detonating 20 city blocks in manhatten and claiming the lives of 212,000 people. He left behind a large crater filled with ash and no bodies remained. After this the united states president declared war on mutants, and subsequently ordered the strike on hammer bay which took the lives of at least 50,000 mutants. Lines were drawn in the sand and the M-wars Began on december 2016.
In the past 1 1/2 years over 2 million have died on both sides and things seem to be escalating. As a response every branch of the avengers and most stand-alone heroes have been called into the fight. Yet this has only caused mutants to fight all the more as the very same heroes they looked up to as children now turned against them. Yet amidst all this chaos something wicked brews. A dangerous mutant who wishes to see the world reduced to a boneyard and none know who he is...
Meanwhile Wakanda and Sarcovia close their borders and refuse to allow others to enter. Asgard prepares for the Odin sleep causing the asgardians on earth to leave right as the conflict is reaching its climax. It looks as if the world is soon to meet its end.
