They had to clear out an offsite facility to house this special find, they called her Codename: AT Field. They had a few Weapon X researchers some sentinels and a platoon of MRD soldiers stationed there. It is located within a mountain in the Appalachian mountains.

The crazy part was that she didn't show up as anything but human, clearly everything suggests she is the one who made everything disappear. Their current hypothesis was that her powers could be mystical in nature then. They still made sure to keep her tightly bound toe to neck with barely the ability to move her heads. She was wrapped in multiple layers of that thick stun cord the S - 1Bs snagged her up in.

Regardless of her not being a mutant she is being used in anti mutant propaganda. Her identity didn't even matter to the populace at large though the sight of her on the street would definitely insight a riot, as far as the people was concerned all mutants are bad and the MRD just received an influx in funding and support. The people were still warned to not mix up Mutants with other superpowered beings, but it seems the government has further plans to mobilize the everyday citizen against mutants.

A Weapon X research entered the observation room overlooking Codename AT Field's cell. The two separated by a force field for a door. The Weapon X researcher walked over to the cell controls and activated the microphone connected to the speaker in Raine's cell.

"Greetings Codename AT Field, if you get the reference your Codename. I know you must have questions or outbursts about you have rights but trust me they don't apply. Be a good and start by answering one question, what is the nature of your power?" The researcher asked.

Steve opened the door to his office personally. "I am guessing you magnetically followed my Shield. Must suck for you guys though, back when this thing was vibranium and adamantium you guys could magnetically manipulate it like all ferrous metals. However, since I had it remade with full vibranium and no adamantium the case is different. Although that's just counting metal manipulation and not magnetic field manipulation........I have been learning this thing called science since they defrosted me."

Steve motioned for Coal to enter after his awkward anecdote about Steve versus his father. "What brings you to my office?" Steve asked.

Fury was now looking over something odd at in his office now empty as Shin had left. It was the new wave of propaganda by the MRD. He was particularly interested in the girl who made the entire building and all those around it disappear. He ran facial recognition which brought up her background information which seemed normal enough. It also was noted that she disappeared down an alley as seen by a traffic camera she appeared at the time of the video. He also noticed in the video she was tied up and blind folded.

Fury himself was suspicious about the MRD as a whole. He would love for them to come after him for recruiting mutants into the ranks of SHIELD. However, mutants should be safe if they are in SHIELD so,potentially their activities could drive mutants towards SHIELD. For that reason he was tempted to let them run unchecked but Fury had no intention of turning a blind eye to the MRD as easy as that would be figuratively and literally.

Yep it was the government, so the question was where were they holding her they had either decided that she didn't qualify as human or they didn't care her money was on the latter. She also noticed despite apparently being an anime fan the guy didn't recognize a kekkai despite her power apparently being just that. Really the question was were they going to brainwash her or dissect her because really they were and evil government organization they were going to do one or the other this was exactly what she had feared happening.

" If you came up with the nickname you should know the power though i am lucky and don't have to say the words" She said figuring she was fucked anyways might as well try to cause as much rage as she could. " So i'm guessing your some kind of evil organization that just lost several billion dollars and drove the united states into massive debt?" She said guessing she had destroyed a lot and those robots that she heard must have been costly as nothing was cheap in building powerful robots even a small one that was combat ready would likely be several million dollars. " Also your asking so i am guessing your the dissection kind not the brainwashing sort" she said the worst they could do was kill her and that would get them nothing but the loss of enough money to sink an entire continents economy.

Dennis was left in the conference room all to himself, he still had doubts about joining SHIELD. On one hand he was going to joining The Avengers and finally be getting the chance to improve his superhero reputation while on the other he would be regulated by SHIELD and he wouldn't be getting the chance to do whatever he wanted. They had given him two paths, either be a well-known superhero or continue on as a vigilante. The offer was too good to let go, after heavy thought he rushed out of the room.

Dennis neared Captain America's office and saw that the guy who he didn't want to mess with had beat him to Captain America. Dennis nervously approached them and overheard their conversation, it seemed that Captain America was talking about Magneto. He didn't know why Captain America was talking about Magneto and he really didn't have the time to care, it was time for him to sleep and he wanted have the satisfaction of being part of the Avengers. "I'm sorry to interrupt your conversation but I need to sign the contract right now" Dennis proceeded to look at his soon-to-be teammate, he looked like he could put up a fight and he still looked like a guy who you wouldn't piss off. Dennis really needed to stop judging books by their covers.

Jessie was still concerned about herself, whether the robots would attempt to capture her or not. So far, they didn't seem too concerned with her. She glanced back to the window when a large bubble appeared over the building. Just an instant later the whole thing was gone, including the giant robot that she could see moments earlier.

"What the hell just happened?!" she asked, pushing by Cam to put her face in the window. She was unaware of what had caused everything to disappear. She didn't know if the robots teleported the whole building or if some third party had intervened. She wanted to go check out, her curiosity getting the better of her, but about that time was when all of the smaller robots that had been wandering around all started to converge on that spot. They weren't alone, of course; 20 or 25 students were running that way too.

"What's that?" Jessie asked as one of the robots flew off with some sort of cocoon thing suspended from it. Her finger tip was touching the glass as she pointed at the cocoon.

While the whole situation left him baffled, his knack for keeping it locked up behind a sunny disposition or at the very least, a very unsurprised expression, shone here. He narrowed his eyes, trying to focus on that cocoon, “Could always go over there to check it out?” He suggests, out of nowhere really, “I mean, I’m curious to all hell, from the look of your window shopping there; you are too. Wouldn’t hurt to get closer, right?” His eyes focused on Jessie for a few moments before he glanced between any patrols that had remained on their end of the campus, which is when he noticed – there weren’t any. At the end of his scoping he jumps, startled by a buzzing that went off in his pocket, cursing under his breathe; he reaches into his pocket and pulls out his phone, swiping until he got where he needed to be. A grim look came onto his expression. It stayed, stunning him to the very core, “S-… Jessie-“ He said, finally, “I… I need to go, alright? Just-“ He starts backpedaling, eyes unable to tear away from his cell, which he ultimately slips back into his pocket; he turns, heading down the hall and out the door. He started in a quick walk, but after a few seconds he was almost in a sprint; he was fast.

Cam’s heart was beating out of his chest, aching and feeling like it was going to burst at any moment, “
C’monc’mon’cmon…” His voice cracked under some higher pressure, his feet took him passed other structures on campus, while he was going a different route his destination was near the- where the abandoned science building was. Just as he was about to round the corner of the outer walls of a girl’s dormitory he runs SMACK into someone. An audible ‘Oof’, varying in volume coming from both ends, as Cam is left standing with the other knocked on their rear. “Oh, f-… Sorry- Haley!“ He whispers, eyes going wide as he takes the time to look at the one he more or less bowled over. A girl, same age as he by the looks, brown of hair and freckled of face; petite and seemingly frigid in how she sat. Camden offers a hand, accepted hastily as he helps Haley to her feet. There were no words, just hand motions; the young man’s eyes were focused on them, rather than anything else, “So… Where’s Damien?” The question draws a noiseless gasp from the woman standing before him, body shaking, hands even more so, the message seems to get through nonetheless, “Christ” He sighs, tone full of dread, “Fucking…” He leans against the wall, Haley standing there in silence, but her body language told Cam that she was suffering; fighting it back, but taking it harder more than he did. Despite his state he accepts a hug, even if it did little to ease the choking back of tears and sobs.

Haley had her head resting against his chest, with Camden’s arms wrapped around her; she was crying, nearly silent cries as face became hidden by his jacket. The one comforting the woman faired just the same, while he succeeded in holding back most of it, a few tears helplessly slid down his cheeks; dripping from his jawline into the honey brown hair of his friend, “I’m sorry, H-…” Words were futile, uttering her name was impossible. Instead he mimicked her silence, hoping that they were spared confrontation in their ramshackle moment of mourning. “We’ll be al-“ Sometimes he wished he was mute too, a voice echoes from his left, “Excuse me.” It wasn’t too loud, but it carried enough to demand attention, Cam was already looking towards them, Haley cowered into him, but emerald pools dared to look towards the owner of that voice. A human, garbed in armor similar to those Sentinels, as Jessie dubbed them, “You’re dangerously close to impeding on the perimeter of an off limits area, I’d like you both to vacate the premises.” This man, along with two others begins stepping towards the duo; then one more steps out from behind the corner to their immediate right, surprising the both of them. From the looks of it they had different weapons than the Sentinels, except they were conventional and had laser sights.

Run-“ Camden snapped to Haley who he pushed away to get her going; she broke out in a dead sprint, one that even the man who had ushered her into running, had trouble keeping up with. He heard a feint beeping come from behind him, a shout of, “One of them is a mutant!” Cam nearly stumbles from the one part news, and one part blaring alarm signaling for them to go faster. He didn’t dare turn to look, nor did he slow down; he ran until Haley stopped. That was saying something, it felt like an eternity until they felt like they made it somewhere that those giving chase wouldn’t be able to find. Luckily the building they ended up next to had a sizable storage closet; Camden realizes that it’s for outdoor activities on campus, some football blocking dummies and tackle wheels, a couple capsized soccer goals, even a retractable basketball hoop. Haley chose to sit on stacked wrestling mats, he paced; nervous as it gets. “Mutant…?” He repeats what he heard earlier, she shrinks defensively. “Hales…” He couldn’t help feeling betrayed, but this explains a lot, “Damien… Him too?” There was the slightest nod from her, he grits his teeth in uncertainty; in the end he simply moves towards her, kneels in front of her as she hangs her head low; her inability to hold his gaze made him feel negative about the venom he spoke with, even if it was minuscule.

Neither of you thought, ‘Hey he’s our best friend, it’d be okay to tell him’?” Haley brought her hands up, trying to sign, but her frantic attempts were unreadable, “What?” Cam quizzes, eyebrows furrowing in confusion; Haley sighs with her body language and simply holds her hands up, in seconds they begin to frost over, nearly turning an icy blue like… Ice. A flurry of boot steps outside startled the pair, Camden stands just in time to experience what it was like to be on the other side of a breaching by heavily equipped individuals. The doors were dented and caved in broken apart by a shotgun or something then pushed inwards with a force; a bit of smoke impaired his vision, but eventually a squad of about five MRD operatives crossed through, “It’s the girl.” One of them shouted, Cam, for whatever reason that words would work, “Hey, she’s harmless, no need for vi-“ Again, for whatever reason he decided stepping forward would be a good idea, even if he had his hands up; in the end things went black, lights turned out, the world died for what felt like a split second and an eternity at the same time. Time became an impossible thing to gauge, but eventually it didn’t matter; a voice rang in the back of his head, speaking gibberish, or maybe a language he couldn’t comprehend or understand; then he heard it, a man, deep of voice, nearly monstrous, “Wake.” He said, and then it repeated, “Wake. Wake. Wake.” At some point, the voice overlapped with itself, the word becoming a jumbled mess. A snap, he was back; cheek cold and aching as his eyes moved before his body did. His wrists were sore as well, bound behind his back as he was chest into the cold concrete of the storage room.

Across from him, from how it looked, were two MRD operatives; Haley on the ground in a similar fashion to he, except, her hands were splayed out instead of behind her back. Her hair covered her face. In that moment he thought to himself, Must be how Dame felt every morning. He could really only lift his head, even then a fraction of an inch off the chilly floor. “Ha-… Haley…?” He calls out, but it was dry, as if he were suffering from dehydration. The limpness of her body stuck in his brain, drawing questions from him, “Hey…” He gasps, “Hey!” His voice booming, “What did you do to her?!” An MRD operative was moving over to do something, silence him or help him up, whatever it was it was lost on him. The world was too, for the second time. Everything burned a searing, white hot, it made him scream; his eyes went blank, his body seemed to seize without the sputtering motions. Before he knew it he was on his knees, looking at the room; seeing the three others that had breached looking towards him. The operative that had started towards him had his weapon ready, but he didn’t act. It was then that Camden could feel his skin begin to disappear, it was a painful process; soon though, his screams of pain soon became laughs.

Maniacal, as if pain turned to pleasure. His hands soon lost their flesh, the burning surged through his entire being until he was left without it. It took a good minute, but he felt back to normal; except… His hands weren’t bound anymore, he was looking at them. Skeletal, no remnants of skin or muscle on his hands, as he reached up to his face he could trace his skull; the structure of it.
Next he was standing, at his feet were flames sprouting up from the floor; no, the bottom of his shoes. His gaze lifted, jumping from soldier to soldier; until he landed on one that he could feel a certain aura seeping from, one that made him angry, enough to bring action from him, “You!” His voice wasn’t his anymore; it was demonic and terrifying; if he weren’t the cause of it he’d be frozen by fear. His feet carried him towards his ‘target’, flaming foot prints left in his stead, “Vengeance!” The word was drawn out, but it was Camden saying it. He was rearing to go, he sought redemption for what he saw when he looked at Haley, for what he found out about Damien, for innocents lost this day; he could feel it all, the restless dead that wanted vengeance, in his warpath that barely spanned a few meters he could feel the same aura this one had, start to trickle from the others.

Coal found Steve's information about him and his father a bit... impressive. Even if it was closer to just the basics, but he didn't think most people would have any kind of real knowledge about his powers. He smirked at the comment towards his shield. Coal was more familiar with bending and manipulating metal, while his father was more useful with magnetism. Not saying that Coal wouldn't one day be more familiar with his other abilities, just that right now metal manipulation was his stronger skill.

He was about to add to the conversation and enter into his office, feeling that this might be a better chance for a one on one talk. Figure out what options he had and possibly see what SHIELD would offer for his future... Seeing as a certain someone already in question probably didn't even know he existed. But all that changed within seconds.

Dennis was quick to jump into the conversation. Coal looked over to the other with a dull and annoyed look. He really just couldn't get a break. Coal was not in the mood to deal with pushy people at this time... And this guy.... Seemed more than pushy...

"You think we would earn funding if it could all go up in smokes so easily. You grossly over estimate the budget then again our budget isn't exactly bound to normal circumstances. Though the funding you have brought in for us easily covers the loss of the Sentinels and MRD soldiers. The real thing are the life insurance policies we have to pay out when people like you kill our soldiers. The fact you came to that conclusion says something..." He researcher says jotting down notes.

" So your communists then?" Raine said not really caring " Or is it totalitarian which one doesn't have to pay people for mining resources, processing them then building them into robots" She continued as no matter what their robots would cost a metric tone of money especially the big ones so they either had to take a chunk out of the military budget or send the country spiraling into debt or more likely both as this people most likely had super high tech labs hidden in far off locations which of course required a huge workforce to mine out build then staff not to mention the transportation as fuel was not cheap no matter how one looked at it this operation had to cost tens of trillions of tax payer dollars and was likely unsustainable for long.

" Anyway so your robots how long until they turn on you, i mean you want them to kill mutants humans carry mutant genes even if inactive therefore to stop mutants humans must be controlled or exterminated?" She asked having watched one to many movies where the robots rose up when presented with a paradox.

Jessie watched as the Sentinel carried off what appeared to be a human sized cocoon. Her brain barely perceived Cam's remarks, but she looked at him to see if he was mocking her or was genuinely curious. Seeing that he seemed serious, she considered going with him. The idea that those Sentinel's might attack her made her hesitant though. "I don't know..." she said, trailing off. It was then that Cam pulled his phone from his pocket and then made a hasty retreat. You didn't even get my number, punk, she thought as she watched him scurry off. For a moment, she thought she'd scared him off, done something or said something, but, after replaying the scene in her mind, she realized that he must have gotten some bad news on his phone. With that realization, she began following him. She turned the corner, bout to call his name only to realize that he wasn't there.

Rushing through the door, Jessie looked around wondering where he'd gone. With everything crazy going on here, I bet his news was related. Has to be, right? she thought as she rushed towards the crater that now existed where a building used to be. While she wanted to sprint, in an effort to catch up to Camden (If he even went this way), she knew that doing so may give away her secret. She was better trained than that. When she was close enough to see the crater, she was once again amazed at what had taken place there, but, unfortunately, she saw no sign of Cam. Guess I'll check in with him before the next class she mused, turning back towards the parking lot. Her car was waiting for her, as this was her only class today. Unfortunately, she'd parked on the other side of the campus from her current location.

Walking back, she mused about the crazy day and everything that had happened, from Sentinels to boys admitting they like her to buildings disappearing into thin air. The day was... not like the usual. A smile crossed her face because of how abnormal the day had been. Abnormal is fun, she joked inwardly before something caught her eye. Turning quickly, Jessie peered through the passage between two buildings, seeing three men in green running by. That was the MRD, I saw them pull in earlier, she thought There is only one reason they'd be running away from the crater. With that realization, she gave chase, pulling her phone from her pocket as she moved. She had no intention of intervening, but she could at least get an idea of what the MRD were capable of and maybe get some of it on camera.

She didn't have to follow far though, as they stopped nearby at some storage building. Jessie peered around the corner, watching as the operatives talked amongst themselves. It seemed like they were organizing some sort of break in. It appeared like one was giving orders while the others simply nodded. She wondered who was inside, but she couldn't get much closer without giving away her location. At this point, she was playing nosy college kid, rather than possible hero. She watched as they gathered their weapons and then crashed through the door. Now that they were busy, she sneaked around to a vantage point that would allow her to peer into the building they'd just entered. Unfortunately, her and her camera weren't able to see anything but some of the MRD operatives.

That was until a skeleton with a flaming head stood up, towering over mats and dummies so Jessie could see him. Jessie was startled by the sight, but she pushed record on her phone. It began recording, however, it was too far away to hear what he'd said. She watched, wondering what that guy was capable of.

-Camden-

Intense focus, a scarily overwhelming heat, the need for redemption; it all came together and created a wildfire that spread throughout him. The MRD operatives deemed no other option fit their situation than to open fire. To their dismay, every round that met the boy turned monster kicked up dust on impact; none of them so much as made him falter in his path to the operative that held this clear aura, while indescribable he knew it related to the state Haley was in. Years seemed to fly by as the distance narrowed; the operative was caught between a wall and an impervious danger. The monster’s arm extends, skeletal fingers nearly encompassing the neck of the operative; the grab wasn’t life threatening, but the threat was still very real. The others held their fire due to their comrade being in the line of fire, it didn’t help that the fiery revenant lifted the operative by his throat, turning to that his back was in between it and the other aggressors.

The one being held against his will struggled, hands trying to pry away the bony digits for a clearer airway and freedom. Equally fortunate and less so for him, intentions required other uses out of him; in the moments thereafter the operative was like a crash dummy, the flaming being seeking vengeance brought his arm back. There was a pause, until it was clear what this motion meant, with his arm being sent forth, operative in hand until he let go. The one he sought vengeance for might not know such yet, but the direct cause of this need was sure to be in serious pain. The operative was sent flying across the storage room, towards the other five; three were lucky enough to be on the fringe of said group so they were in the clear, but the two in the middle weren’t much more than bowling pins. The force of their comrade hitting them not only capsized them, but it sent them out of the entrance behind them; a fair distance at that.

The sequence of events that transpired after this was purely to render his assaulters useless in coming weeks. Still, despite the return of the pray and spray of bullets he did not find himself in pain nor feeling the force of the impacts. Distance became nonexistent as the ghastly monster met the middle man, sending his fist out and clocking the unprotected area of the face; a pop could be heard, it rung out from where he had landed the blow, a dislocation most likely. The operative collapsed backwards, unconscious; the left most one hesitated one second too long, a fierce front kick came from the skeleton, flat of its’ shoe planting in the man’s gut incredibly hard; air was vortexed out from his mouth, he fell sideways onto the ground, but that wasn’t the end of his pain. Akin to how the monster utilized the other operative, he grabs the ankle of the one he just hit. It would feel like freefalling as he pulled and lifted the operative off of the ground with sheer might; it didn’t look like much effort was applied at that. Using this one as a weapon he absolutely railed the last standing MRD operative in the room; he was sent soaring into a couple of stacked wrestling mats, joining his comrades in a state of stupor.

With all of his assaulters turned victims, he looked over his shoulder; empty sockets seemingly focused on the lifeless form of the brown haired woman he was talking to only a couple of minutes ago. He couldn’t stand there, even in this fierce form he had to get out of that room, that space; he was in an instant, in the fresh air that he could still feel pass over his features when a breeze ran through the campus. He stood there, like a flaming statue; until something caught his attention, a neutral aura. It was neither vile nor saintly, at least from what he could tell; the vagueness of this feeling made him curious. He stepped over the three other operatives outside, moving towards this presence. It was then that, if he could gasp, he would have; the sight of Jessie might have startled Camden in this situation, but it was simply met with a stoic albeit nearly lifeless stance. Despite this, what was once an intense orange-ish red, soon became a seemingly passive blue; the flickering flame engulfing his head changed, what he had for facial features seemed to adopt a soft look, or at least what the individual could manage.

If the girl chose to stay in the wake of being spotted, he would soon feel the need to revert; that vengeance, while it might have been a miniscule amount, was served. The flame began to fade, the flesh of his hands formed first, while that of his neck and head came afterwards; it was slow and no doubt strange to witness, but seconds of waiting for the result of this display would give an end product. Camden stood there, his young face full of confusion twisted by sorrow; the sight of Jessie, even if she were someone he had only met a while ago, made a wave of relief wash over him. “I…” He piped up, looking over his shoulder; the operatives were still groaning and useless to capitalize on his shifting of forms. Hoping she wouldn’t run, the young man approached her, “Jessie... What you s-“ He just now spotted her phone, wondering if she was recording him after he changed back, “Saw… I…” He looks over his shoulder once more, but not for long. Even if the situation warranted immediate action, he waited for her response; eager to see how she felt about him being a monster, but because of who he is and that disposition he has he can’t help but fill the void in his heart by saying, “I guess… This means I can’t have your number?

Jessie was in awe as she watched this fiery skeleton throw the operatives around like rag dolls. Despite his apparent strength, Jessie still got the impression that he was holding back, whether that was from her own experience, or just a hunch, was hard to say. Ignoring that impression, she wasn't frightened, per se, because she felt confident that she could fend him off or at least evade his advances until she got to a more populated area. She just watched and recorded as the trained soldiers were dealt with in an instant, or so it seemed.

Jessie watched as the creature moved out of the building, into the breeze and sunlight. That's one weird mutant, she thought, jumping to the wrong conclusion. She watched, expecting him to run off. But her breath caught as his gaze turned towards her. He slowly moved past some of the downed operatives, straight towards Jessie. She was about to turn and run, but the monster's fire changed colors and the skull's deathly stare seemed to soften, somehow.

It was then that she realized her sixth sense wasn't going off, he wasn't about to attack... she wasn't in danger, though she didn't realize why. Finally, her breathing resumed, though it was deeper in an attempt to catch up on the oxygen it had been missing. For a moment, while breathing deeply, Jessie just stared as the monster seemed to begin changing. Skin began appearing, flames dissipated, and in a moment, a young man stood where an evil monster once stood. At that moment, Jessie's breath once again halted as she realized that she knew, if only somewhat, the person who now stood in front of her.

He tried to speak, turning back to check on the soldiers who lay groaning in pain. While his head was away from her, she took a deep breath. Damn, I attract the weirdest guys. Must be some shitty pheromones or something, she mused. Turning back to her, Camden tried once again to speak, but failed. It was then that he realized she had her phone pointing at him and she remembered that she had her phone pointing at him, recording I less. A look of surprise as she remembered was quickly replaced with a look of apology.

It was then that Cam joked about her number which, for some reason, jolted Jessie out of her reverie. "Come on! We gotta get you out of here," she demanded, stepping towards him. She handed her phone to him before grabbing his arm with the same hand, "My car's not far. Move!" She began pulling him, maybe a little more forcefully than he would have realized she was capable of. Her left hand was already rummaging around in her bag for her car keys. She wanted to comfort him but they could talk later, when they were safe.

He was open to running, her strength kind of caught him off guard, but that was the least of his worries; he took her phone and whilst tactfully keeping up with her he’d watch the video she had recorded, “Damn…” He says, in awe most likely; the entire length of the recording played while they trekked to her car, “I… What the hell am I?” He inquires, out of the blue; not necessarily asking her. Once they reached her vehicle he was quick to get in the passenger seat assuming she had readily unlocked the door, it was now that he was so far deep in embroiling her in this calamity that he spoke, “Jessie,” Her name drifted from his lips, “You know what it could mean if you’re seen with me, right?” He reminded her, even he didn’t know the implications, but at this rate; it was most definitely not good, “Thank you.” It was solid, his gratitude fully on display as they left the campus. Hopefully safety wasn’t too far off.

Steve all but shoved Dennis out of his office after informing Dennis to go up to Fury's office. Steve then shut the door which was sound proof and locked it so it couldn't be opened from the outside. Steve then returned to sit behind his desk. "Now that he's gone, we can continue our conversation, you no doubt have much on your mind being drawn into the Asian martial artist based drama that is the Hand and those in that cycle. Then again it all just leads back to Hydra." Steve explained.

"I would explain but then we'd have to kill you to prevent an information leak. Just know of if you were right there would have been a large economic collapse already. The other thing, well that would be interesting wouldn't it?" The researchers said before shutting off the microphone breaking communication with Raine.

The researcher entered a briefing on Ghost Rider, known to them as Codename: Grimm. They went over the footage and at at transmitted to them, including the fact he was no mutant. The researcher let a smirk creep across his face.

"Why don't we capture these non mutants of incredible power and use them to hunt mutants and further out research. Though it is clear we will need something a little more potent to fight him." The researcher chimed.

A new progranda video hit the Internet showing a skeletal man on fire acting MRD personnel. It was cut to make it look like he killed the woman lying facedown. It was footage broadcasted from body and helmet cameras of the MRD soldiers. Fury however could tell there was something up with it, as he review it in his office. He took note of the flaming man and decided he woulld add this to his list of leads of what the MRD really are. He wanted to put the team on this ASAP, assuming enough of them sign up.

"Yeah, yeah," she answered Camden, having already considered her position in this ordeal. When he thanked her, with what sounded like the utmost of sincerity, she couldn't help but answer with what was going through her mind. "I gave you my phone so you could delete the video, everyone has a right to their secrets. Plus, it'll give me some deniability; I can claim ignorance about... 'the other guy'," she hoped it didn't come off as insensitive. She was trying to help him, that was true, but she wasn't completely placing herself in a position to lose everything... yet.

At first, she just drove. They needed to create some distance, but as they got a couple miles away she felt like a destination was necessary. I can't take him home, if they know his name they'll check his place. Public place isn't good either, if they put his pic on the news, there'll be too many witnesses. My house? Should work, we've never even interacted on social media... to them, I'll look like just a random person in his class, no reason to come to my house. Her father had been a good man and besides teaching her to keep her powers in check, he'd also ingrained in her how to stay off the radar. Of course, she'd never had to use it until now, but it could be useful.

"We'll go to my house... But speaking of phones, we'll need to ditch yours in case they are tracking it,"
she said, keeping her eyes on the road. She knew he wouldn't want to, but if someone was coming after him - this was his best bet at evading them. A minute later, she pulled into a parking spot at a post office she passed every day on her way to and from school. She turned the car off and turned to look at him. "You can ship it to someone, so you can get it back if this all blows over."

Coal watched as Steve closed the door, leaving Dennis out in the hallway. His eyes followed Captain America as he mad his way back to his desk. It was true, Coal did have a lot on his mind. Some of which focused on recent events while other thoughts would trail back to the topic of his father. Coal's attention perked up when Steve mentioned Hydra. That was something he did know. He had heard many things about the secret organization group.... But most of it was more historical than relevant to modern time events. This only placed more questions into the mix.

Coal made his way over to the front of Steve's desk where he found a chair. Coal wasn't exactly sure where to start, everything was now more of a jumbled mess than before. "Do you think the reason why I'm involved in all of this... Could be because of my father?" Coal asked. He figured this could be a good place to start. His father was well known as the leader of the Brotherhood and had done some pretty drastic and world changing things. Most of them, were not in the good way. But Magneto was still a very powerful mutant and also well known.

Even if Coal had similar powers, how would anyone really know who he is or how he is related to the powerhouse villain? Not long after finding out about his powers Coal tried not to use them as much as others did. He tried his best to keep them from wandering eyes and kept low on the grid of mutants. "I mean... I don't even think he knows I exist." Coal added. If he did know, wouldn't Eric try to make some kind of contact with Coal?

"How would this group... 'The Hand' even know about me?" Coal tried his best to place anything and everything together. The quicker he figured some of this out, the better.

Camden had to stifle laughter, coughing to force it away, “You’re kind of like a secret agent,” He comments, “The Other Guy…?” He trails off; while she drove he was silent, respecting the possibility of her being in deep thought. His generally good mood was upset by the occasional downcast of eyes and split second look of despair; in the end he evaporated that nonsense the only way he knew how, “Every superhero ever has had a name, even every villain; all of them. ‘The Other Guy’? You saw it, for real… I felt it,” He looked at the video a second time, “I always thought I just had this… Like a sixth sense for people’s intentions. When criminals came on the news, ya know you have that obvious feeling of disgust, but me… I had this-“ He paused, considering how he’d word it, “Justice or something, a need for it, desperately if it was an awful crime. I can’t really tell the good in people, but sometimes when it showed criminals, I didn’t get that feeling.

A sigh erupted from him, it was low and sad, “They knocked me out. When I woke up, I could… It’s hard to explain, like when I was watching the news, but this was more surreal; it was darker, it came from one of those goons. Because he was right in front of me, I guess that triggered-“ He had paused the video, gazing at his ‘other self’. His musings were stopped as she suggested her house, he was clearly about to protest, but he thought about it too; then, randomly, when it held no weight at all to any of this, “Why aren’t you afraid of me?” He asks, “I could understand if you were a good, maybe even lifelong friend, but I’m a little spooked of what I’m looking at; I’m stuck with it though.” It was when they stopped, he handed her the phone again, the video would be gone. When she mentions his phone he pulls it out of his pocket, “Nothing on me was melted…” He murmurs, to mimic her seriousness of the matter he did check the parking lot for cameras; finding none he exits her car; a pang of self-loathing when he even considered she might ditch him.

Somewhere on his way to the front doors of the post office he was hit, by what felt like a freight train, but it was all on his head. He didn’t stagger or fall over, he became frozen; his feet could no longer carry the weight on his shoulders. Images flashed by his head, of what happened; he could remember everything he did as the ‘Other Guy’, he could remember before turning, seeing Haley. A surge of the very same burning sensation spread throughout his veins; before he could react he looked down to see that his hands, while not the same sort of skeletal appearance as before, had combusted into flames. He was neither startled, nor in pain; the phone, however, wasn’t as lucky. It started to melt; he dropped it onto the ground and let it become a forgotten goop. As he focused on his hands, bringing them up to eye level the flame extinguished instantly, “Aw… Dammit.” He turned, marching back to Jessie’s car; he looked terribly upset by what just happened, assuming she saw even a fraction of it, when he got into her car he’d put his hands down, “Don’t have to worry about the phone anymore.” He grumbled, it was unclear if his mood was due to the phone turning to mush or that he was unable to keep the flame ignited, to sort of reprieve from this frustration he asks, "How are you feeling, about all this?"

Jessie chuckled a little as Cam said she was like a secret agent. More like my dad was a secret agent, she mused, accidentally bringing up her mixed feelings towards him. He spent all of Jessie's childhood telling her to keep her powers hidden and then after he died, she found out that he had a super-villain suit and an alter ego to go with it. That hypocrisy was why Jessie had started going out in his suit in the first place. Of course, she'd done some research since then and found out he was only seen in that suit once and never again. She shook those feelings out of her mind as she listened intently to Cam trying to explain his own unique background. Her left hand deftly flipped her turn signal as she switch lanes. In a way, she could relate to his story because she too had been hiding a part of herself.

The question seemingly came out of nowhere. “Why aren’t you afraid of me?” Luckily for Jessie, Cam kept talking which gave her a moment to think of something before she was expected to answer. Cause my sixth sense tells me when I'm in danger. Cause I could be out of this car in less than a second. Cause I can kick you out of the car in less time. All things I could say, but shouldn't, she mused in that moment. "I guess it's cause you seem like a sweet guy. With that face, you don't seem nearly as menacing..." she trailed off, alluding to the fact that she may be a little more apprehensive to drive him around if his head were on fire and he looked like a skeleton.

After they stopped, Cam got out after murmuring something. Jessie looked down to her phone, opening the calendar. She quickly checked her mom's schedule, a little relieved that she was working the afternoon shift today. That would give the two some time settle in and wind down before having to explain why he was there. She was a little startled when the passenger door opened rather soon after Cam had left. She looked to him, curious why he was back so soon, but seeing the upset look on his face. She wanted to ask what happened, but she had a feeling Cam would talk if given the chance. Seems to be his forte she joked inwardly.

She wasn't wrong, he quickly announced that the phone was no longer an issue before asking her how she was feeling. Side stepping the question, she answered "I think I'll feel better when we get to my house." She turned back to the wheel, starting the car. She backed out of the space, once again steering the car towards her home. "Here," she said, handing her phone to Cam once again. "See if they have anything about you online yet."

He glanced at her, “Parents don’t mind you bringing a boy home?” The inquiry was jokingly sent out, while his eyes showed a different story he was nervous about it, “Huh-“ He starts as he’s handed the phone again, he takes it and nods his head at her command. He smiled at a random thought that popped into his head, but he ultimately did as he was told. It didn’t take long for him to find articles and a video accompanying them; a deep breathe meant to prepare him for whatever he was about to see. He pressed play when he was ready, the volume loud enough for Jessie to be able to hear it as well. His eyes seemed to shake as they showed Haley, but the whole sight of it was odd. He was there, even, and he for a split second grieved at the thought of being the one who did the unthinkable, but he knew better.

The video very clearly made it look like his other form was the assaulter, the brown haired woman the victim, as well as the MRD operatives. Camden’s face was blank, silently, once the video finished he handed the phone back to Jessie. He could tell her right then and there that he definitely didn’t murder that woman, but his silence fought back the smelting pot of emotions. He half expected the ride to be over before he even considered opening his mouth. He didn’t want his temper to get the better of him, despite not having a bad one; he wasn’t sure how he turned into that thing, but he battled back his feelings just in case.

Head had turned so he could look out the window, gaze drifting from house to house as they passed them, “As soon as I can, I’ll be out of your hair,” He finally says, his voice sturdy as if he hadn’t been through a lot today, “You’ve done more than you had to for me. I know, just from looking at you, that you’ve decided on this; for the time being at least. I know I sound like a broken record, but if I don’t say it again I haven’t said it enough: Thank you, Jessie. You have my word, that if they find out you helped me…-“ He paused, “You saw what I could do. Who knows what more the Other Guy has?” After that he went silent, trying to enjoy something in the day; very slightly invigorated by his passive promise to protect the woman to his left.

"The Hand are involved with the mystical side of things. They could very well have used magic or some sort mystic power to figure out who you are. They could have simply identified you as someone able to house the Beast. Your powerful mutant lineage likely makes you a strong vessel. We only know who you are because we tested you when we brought you in and you matched with Eric, combined with your status as a mutant lead us to one conclusion. Even then we could be wrong with things such as the rewriting of genetic code and such." Steve answered to the best of his ability.

Well that cleared up a lot of things. Coal drifted back to what Steve stated about testing his DNA. "Huh?" He had only found out through his mother before she ran off. He wasn't even sure, but with an actual test done... Coal nodded slowly as he placed as much as he could together even more. A simple explanation like so really cleared the air and his mind. It didn't put him at ease though. If it wasn't because of Eric and it was more towards the fact that he could be a powerful mutant... Coal never really did put his abilities to the test. He knew he could control metal and magnetic fields in a bunch, but never went past something he found so simple.

"So, SHIELD had mentioned some kind of 'Avengers' program." Coal let his eyes wander a bit around the room. "I would have to go see Fury?" Coal asked. For the most part things were starting to make sense. He wanted to ask more about his father but found that there was a time and place for everything. And this could be the time to ask but Coal didn't want to bother Captain America with his little personal problems.

He went to get out of his chair, thinking that if he joined this team... He might actually be able to meet the man behind his existence one day. For Coal it wouldn't be much of a meeting really.

So far only Cade, Shin, and Coal signed contracts and now we're full fledged Avengers. Dennis and Vincent were set to be made to leave by Noon today, so in about three hours unless they signed up for the Avengers. Liam was still in his cell which produced a concentration disrupting field to prevent him from amassing chi. Over the Triskelion loud speaker came "Silver Samurai and Vanguard, report to Fury's office immediately...with your breakfast if necessary!" Seems like the first mission was already here.

Shin had already finished his morning meal already and walked with simply a bottle of water in hand to the Director's office. He entered the room to find Fury seated. It was at this moment he realized they didn't call Cade for some reason. Fury would wait till Shin and Coal were both in the room before beginning his briefing.

"This is the MRD, Mutant Response Division, which the President approved alongside the Ultimates Program. This is what they have been up to yesterday." Fury began showing footage of the MRDs raid on the College in Georgia and their scuffle with the Codename: Grim. The two videos, one showing Ghost Rider and another showing Raine were left playing on a loop. "These two speicifically interest me, I am suspicious of the MRD and their Sentinels. I put a few operatives out and they got me one location and are working on another. They have already caputred the girl but Burning Man is still at large. We managed to intercept a communication of a Tactical raid they are going to conduct today here." Fury explained. "Get there, and extract Burning Man for questioning. Any questions?"

Shin had none.

The researcher had not begun mental reconditioning of Codename: AT Field yet. They had to be precise and her use was a back up option. Raine was released from the cocoon of wiring around her but her hands were bound in these dome like cuffs that encompassed her entire hand and kept her hands apart. They did this as she slept likely from hunger, exhaustion, or dehydration.

Now the Researcher stood before her inside her cell, the barrier deactivated and two MRD soldiers behind him.

Camden had woken up early, at around six in the morning; a lot on the mind, a fear of his dreams turning to nightmares and turning him into the ‘Other Guy’, the combination of it all made sleep a chore rather than a reprieve. No change of clothes, waking up in the outfit from yesterday felt a bit gross, but he forgot about it as the hours passed; his jacket made up for that feeling. He sat at the dining table, trying not to look creepy as he examined his jacket thoroughly. No bullet holes, but in the videos he saw he was being shot; there’s no way he was a mutant, he’s something else. It scared him to death. Would that make him more sought after? Would it make him the priority? As he minded such he glanced around the room he was in, a passive bordering on positive expression shrouded what went on behind those eyes; in the end his attention was drawn towards a window facing the street; across the pavement in particular was where he looked the most. He saw it when they got to her house, stared at it when he wasn’t saying hello to Jessie’s mother or asleep. A sports bike, middleweight in appearance; very close to being a super bike. He hummed to himself as he made out everything about the eye catcher he could.

Around 7 o'clock, the sun's rays snuck their way through Jessie's blinds, laying atop the young girl's face. Eventually, the light crept across her cheek before settling into the socket of her right eye. Rolling over was Jessie's reaction, but the damage had been done: she wasn't going back to sleep. That's when she remembered Cam was out on the couch, or that was where she'd seen him last anyways. With everything that had happened at college, it was easy enough to convince Jessie's mom to let Cam sleep on the couch. In fact, the older Windrift was just glad to see Jessie interacting with people her own age. Watching the news with her mom had been a little unsettling, but she didn't know that the flaming skeleton on the screen was the same young man that was sitting on her couch. If the news was any indication, it seemed like no one knew that the two were one and the same.

Jessie finally got up and headed out to look for Cam. She found him sitting at the table, "Hey, we have cereal and milk or Pop Tarts." She walked by him and the table, entering the kitchen. "I could do toast and eggs..." she trailed off, the sound of cupboards being closed and others being opened easily identifiable. She finally stuck her head out, peering around the corner, "Or McDonald's?"

Raine really didn't get how people that were smart could be so stupid, torture didn't work, if they were smart they would do as they were doing with the public and trying to win support from her through words. The dome like cuffs were not solid and while they would block her from picking things up they were not solid thus she could if need be form her hand sign as they had apparently not gotten what her power was though she doubted they would if they didn't see their own logic failure. in truth if they simply had sat down and tried to talk to her about a mutant enforcement agency she might have listened and helped as well mutants were dangerous, not evil, but dangerous and if they were rounded up and trained instead of taken into gas chambers and killed Nazi style she might actually agree. Still him questioning her had made her wonder something, she had simply gained her power because she wanted it and knew what she wanted, maybe just maybe there was more.

" You know you made me realize something i know next t nothing about my power, maybe, just maybe i can do more than make barriers" she said looking at him suspecting torture " Are you ready to risk making something far more dangerous than any weapon in the world?" she asked serious as if her powers might work how she was starting to think they did the torture might kick in a new power she wanted.

It was like he had never gone through yesterday, as if it was a dream and he had been Jessie’s friend all along; just having a sleepover or something. When he saw her he hardly even attempted a sentence, but she treated him like a guest; it calmed him, “I’m at your mercy,” He says in response to the choices, sneaking a glance as she poked her head out, “You sleep well?” He asks, perhaps trying to do such so it wasn’t sent towards him first. His eyes drifted to that bike across the street, heaps of thoughts racing through his head, “They didn’t show my face, on the videos they made,” He states, “I was pretty spooked, watching the news with you and your mom; any moment I could just be on the TV and sitting beside you at the same time…” He made sure his voice was partially hushed, but he wasn’t worried. He scolded himself inwardly, assuming a smile like usual, “Sorry about that, depressing really isn’t my style; I’m not… Really,” His hands absentmindedly close and open as he mulls things over, “It’s not weird that, even though I’m scared, I think this ‘Other Guy’ is really badass? I mean, who would have thought? A flaming skeleton? If I had known sooner, I’d always be ready for Halloween.” Trying his best to make the situation a bit more lighthearted, its’ futility seemed lost upon him.

With that smile he looks over to her, “I could go for some toast and eggs.” He decides. He stands, stepping towards the opening between the dining room and kitchen, “I wanted to show you something, by the way, I didn’t mean to thief it but I found a lighter in a drawer-“ He pulls said lighter out of his interior jacket pocket, it was a simple, transparent green one, “I was curious, to see what this guy could do when I’m not him, so…” He ignites the lighter, keeping it lit as he held his index finger over it; he might have been interested in some dramatic effect so he slowly lowered the tip into the flame. On his face was neither pain, nor surprise; no reaction. He let his finger sit in the fire for a few seconds before removing it; there was no charred skin, it wasn’t even red from the heat, “I don’t know how hot it can get before it starts to hurt or anything, buuut…” He narrows his eyes at the digit he experimented with, “Your stove, at its’ hottest didn’t burn either.” He gauged her reaction after he was done speaking, while he did his best at hiding it he clearly thought this was somewhat cool.
