Prologue:

Welcome Back To Your Shackles

You were surrounded with darkness. You felt like you have spent your entire life in your own darkness. Not knowing about anything. Not being able to move. Trapped as you can say. Yes just another slave of the darkness. It was terrifying. Horrible. Well, that's a bit depressing and really complex to write that and it's a Danganronpa RP. So I'm going to skip all of that.

"Ugghh....." you hear a voice deep within your slumber. Very soft and very distant. Something to pull you out of the darkness.

"Where am I?" Yet still distant and so far. But this time, you grapple for this voice. You searched yourself. No one will help you. There is no one to help you. You have to help yourself.

'Oh Jesus!" . You found the thing you were looking for.

"Hey y'all! Please don't tell me that y'all're dead." You gripped tight and pulled yourself free from your darkness. Freedom. But freedom so that you can move from a horrible darkness into an insane hell. You slowly but surely opened your eyes. At the gates of hell, you saw the face of a worried blond boy wearing an expensive suit and fedora

  "Oh good! You ain't dead."

A low groan came from the dark hair boy who remained on the ground for a moment as he tried to wake up from this darkness.  It was rather hard to do as he felt he had been in the deepest sleep of his life.  It wasn't until he heard someone's voice did he actually start to make movements.  Taking quite a bit of will power he pushed his eyes open and soon enough he was awake, his eyes fluttered open and he started to take in the blurry images around him.  Moving one hand from its originally position he brought it to his face and rubbed his eye a moment to get everything more clear.

"Wha....What happened?"   He grumbled before using his other hand to push himself to his knees.  His vision now clearer he looked around and saw the boy who he had heard shouting.   "Why would you think I died?"  he asked as he looked around the room only to meet his eyes with the eyes of the others.  A face heavy with confusion he blinked numerous times before he started to stand up.  "The hell?"  It took a bit of effort for him to actually get up, but soon enough he was on his legs (though he did wobble a bit as they were still asleep on him).    He opened his mouth to say something but promptly closed it, as before he asked questions he needed to try and see what he can figure out with the situation himself.  Besides even in his groggy state, he doubt the other unconscious students knew any more than he did, at least he doubt it for the time being.

A boy with a white collared shirt and brown hair was... Somewhere. But he didn't know where. Where the heck was he? Why did it smell so musty...? He felt something in his pocket and checked it. There was a slimy brown substance in it. He shivered a bit, unsure of what it was, his nose and mouth instantly rejecting it. He called out to somebody, maybe they could help him. "Hey!!! Anybody there...!?" He said before coughing a bit. He felt weak and useless. Hopefully somebody heard him. His ears were ringing as if there was some kind of loud bang that caused all of this. He felt like a caged bird, enclosed from all sides.

Minori sat up,she looked about silently. She had heard the voice, and seen the odd man, but decided to stay silent. After getting a good look around the area and at the others there she looked at the man, "well I'm not dead." She simply states, smiling as she wobbled to her feet. She felt terrible, but it was to be expected, though she still didn't remember how she got there. Minori yawned and looked around a bit.

Osaka jerked up with a bit of a gasp. She groaned and held her head, clenching her fists. After a few moments, she sighed and shook her head. She looked around at all the people around her in confusion, but she didn't make any distinct moves. She just watched everyone do their thing, sticking to the back.

Kurosaki Mizu

His body felt incredibly heavy, his eyelids slowly opened and he struggled to sit up. He placed his hands on the ground behind him to support his exhausted body. He couldn't help but yawn, it seemed like he had been asleep for eternity. When he sat up and looked around he saw other people in the same state as him. He felt kind of relieved that he wasn't the only one feeling so horrible, but also terrified at whatever could have happened to everyone. Except when he tried to remember what had happened, he couldn't. His head hurt and he placed a hand on his head to try and ease the pain a bit. After sitting around for a while, he lifted himself off the ground with a tired groan. He stumbled at first trying to find his balance. When he did, he shuffled over to the nearest person. It was a girl quite shorter than him. He knelt down next to her and gently shook her trying to help her wake up. @Lettuce

Oka Kagome

Yeah this one is tiny

Oka's eyes blinked slowly blinked open when she felt something shaking her awake. Ugh, her head hurt like Hell, couldn't whoever decided to shake her awake wait a bit longer? Her sleeping probably wasn't... Wait, what was going on? Why was she asleep? She looked up at the person who had woken her, slowly sitting up. Seemed that this person was a boy who (unsurprisingly) looked quite a bit taller than her. She rubbed her head, as if that would actually ease the pain in her head, "Ugh... Uhm... What's going on?"

On the cold, foreign floor lay a large group of high-school-aged students, most of whom weren't fully conscious yet.

Among these people was a girl clad in a short-sleeved, white button-down shirt fitted with a neatly tied black bow at the base of the shirt's collar. She wore a black mini-skirt with white frills, and a dull-orange scarf with leaf-like patterns was wrapped around her neck. Atop her short black hair sat a small, strange red hat, and a couple of pens lay on the ground from where they must have fallen out of her shirt pocket.

At some point, she grew more and more aware of herself and her surroundings, and her sleepy eyes opened to let her see everything in that dim space. The first thing she noticed was that the room was full of people. Some were up and about, while others were still asleep like she'd been moment ago.

When she tried to move, it felt like none of her limbs were working right. She lightly scratched her right arm—a habit she turned to when she thought her arms or legs were "asleep." Surely enough, there wasn't a twinge of pain. She usually hated waking up like this, but that wasn't exactly the primary issue now. She'd found herself inside a small room with a group of people she didn't know, and that was something she immediately felt the urge to change.

When she pushed herself up and tried standing, "pins and needles" shot through her legs, and she decided to just sit down for the time being until she was able to walk better.

She quickly noticed the motionless pens on the ground and reached to pick them up. She wasn't sure about it, but she figured they were her's. She tucked them snugly into her shirt pocket as she looked around at who was keeping her company.

Aside from the people already standing and moving around a little ways away, she noticed a brown-haired boy nearby her who looked like he had had it rough. From what she could tell from everyone's faces, it looked like no one actually knew what was going on—something she wasn't secure about.

Then, the smell hit her. She  shriveled up her nose and rubbed the bridge of it with her fingers, her whole face cringing at the experience.

With a sour look on her face, she turned her eyes to the boy near her. "I don't think it's the case, but have you figured out what's causing that?" She asked, assuming he knew what she meant by that.

cho’s face began to scrunch up, the budding commotion around her finally starting to rouse her from her sleep. she wasn't really taking anything in yet, but her mind could overhear frightened voices, and pieces of thought began to come into focus around them. she was thinking, but none of her thoughts made any sense, still asleep and confused, like this was all just a nightmare. still, she could at least make out that this was real, and that she needed to get up. everything still felt heavy and numb, but she somehow found her fingers. when she tried to move them, they only twitched intermittently at first, but a more concentrated effort, she found the strength to ball them into a fist. she decided to continue to flex her hand to try and pull herself back into reality. ‘what’s… going on?’ her first coherent thought asked, as her consciousness finally started to take shape. her eyes slowly came open, revealing the open, unfamiliar room around her. her eyes fluttered a bit, a bit annoyed with her own incomprehension of the scene before her.

automatically, she feels her start trying to speak, but still can’t feel most of her mouth, making it impossible to enunciate. instead of talking, then, she stars to will the rest of her body into motion, the hand that was flexing moving down to support her weight. as quickly with such heavy limbs, she sloppily heaves herself up to a sitting position, her eyes still sort of glazed over. she could see now there were a bunch of people here – some laying all around, and some already moving, but all around her age. that fact really woke up her up. her body reflexively jerked back with shock, her foot hitting something she doesn't realize is a someone, and she immediately starts trying get to her feet. "ugh... uhm... what's going on?" she hears someone ask as she’s putting her hands to the floor the push herself up. “y-yeah!” she shouts heatedly, her teeth baring up with frustration. she stumbles to a stand, flattening her skirt down.  “what’s this all about…?” she asks, suddenly less assertive and loud and markedly more fearful this time. the corners her mouth move into a concerned frown, and she crosses her arms, her anger evaporating into trepidation as the gravity of the situation dawned on her.

well, that... and then the smell. as soon as it hits her, she immediately clinches her eyes shut and holds her sleeve over her nose. her teeth bared again, but this time in disgust. she wasn't actually unused to awful smells, but god, this one was special. she scurries off to the farthest part of the room from two of them and looks over the people in front of her again expectantly. "a-anybody?" she asks them quietly, desperately hoping for someone with answers and not weird, inexplicable odors.

Okawara Kazumi

Kazumi was having a nice nap, and by nice I mean forced. Actually I'm not too sure, Kazumi was knocked out and in a state of unconsciousness that is deeper then sleep. Well not a coma but more of under the effect of a tranquillizer. Either way, she was slowly regaining consciousness as she stirred from her slumber. She forced her eyelids to open despite how heavy they felt and slowly moved her arms.

"Ow... My head..." She groaned as she began pushing herself up to a sitting position. Once she's sitting up, she took a look around with bleary eyes. Everything was unfocused so she rubbed her eyes in an attempt to clear her vision up. As she did that, another one of her senses began picking up something. A foul stench invaded her nose and that promptly woke her up.

"Urgh... It smells worse then rubber cement..." Kazumi groaned as she took her first good look around the room. She noticed that she wasn't alone. Thay fact made her jump up onto her numb legs, causing her to stumble slightly.

"W-who are you people?!" Kazumi fearfully asked, backing off onto a wall. Her knees trembled from a mix of fear and numbness. Despite all this, and the fact that she's prone to panicking, she managed to not wet herself out of fear.

That voice was the first one for Natsumi to hear since she woke—a voice of fear wrought with insecurity. She felt like there was going to be a whole slew of confused people in the room waking up just like this girl. It was just like she thought: "All of us are in the same boat." Heaven knew she was just as unsure as the others...

"W-who are you people?!" Kazumi fearfully asked, backing off onto a wall. Her knees trembled from a mix of fear and numbness.

The shrill, scared voice of the girl caused Natsumi to visibly jump in surprise. Even with as much as she empathized with these people, she couldn't talk to everyone quickly since there were just too many to cover. Blood was still flowing to her legs, too, so she dared not stand now and buckle under from her own legs' stupidity. The rancid stench wafting through the air made the situation extra worse, unfortunately.

Once the SHSL Historian gained consciousness the only thing going through Jacques' mind is ouch. The floor gave him an uncomfortable pain basically everywhere. Jacques opened his eyes to an unfamiliar scene.... well, ceiling he slowly gained strength to sit up as gently as possible. He looked around, seeing other people who seem to be the same age as himself. They seemed to be as clueless as he was which wasn't really a good sign.

The place was somewhat unpleasing for the historian. Though he has seen much more dustier and nerve wracking libraries than this.

Before getting deeper into his thoughts some conscious teens started talking, most seemed worried and scared which was a very usual reaction. Because let's be honest here, mostly everyone would be worried and/or scared. God knew Jacques was both. His fears were messing with his actions, now he was scared to stand up, the possibility of the floor's material was old and can break any moment. Though that was only a 5 percent chance that may happen. But fear can make you do a lot of silly things and have silly thoughts.

The screaming of a female teenager made him jump from where a sat a bit. She sounded scared. Or in panic. Possibly both. Should Jacques reply? No one seemed to be entertaining her question. Was it even safe to answer?

So Jacques kept his mouth shut, until he knew these people were no threat of a sort. Though they just sounded like scared and worried teens, just like him. He silently muttered a prayer. He was going to need all the strength to attempt to stay calm.

Woshii had recovered from... Whatever had made his head hurt. His hearing still wasn't working properly but at least his vision had cleared up. He heard a girl speak near him. Now that he had a good look around him, he noticed he was surrounded by strangers. The windows in the room were boarded up as well, his hands still sticky from the brown substance. He felt a wrapper in his pocket and was able to deduce exactly what it was. "Um... I think that's the smell of melted chocolate. It smells like it's at least a year old..." He stated as he held his nose with two of his fingers. He then checked his other pocket. He found a pair of leather gloves. What were these doing here? Maybe he had taken these to go fencing before he was knocked out...? It didn't make sense, but he put them on anyways. They did look pretty cool. "Um... I know I don't know any of you, but are you alright?" He asked the girl who had taken notice of him.

By this time Ken was fully awake and on his feet, as he looked around the room in confusion.  "If this isn't grand."  He muttered under his breath as he rolled in neck a bit trying to get a kink out.  He then looked at the others in the room and let out a sigh as he scratched the back of his head.  "Great, so looks like I'm not the only clueless one in here."  He stated clear enough so anyone could hear him.  He moved himself a bit closer to the group but still staying out of arms reach from anyone.   "Boarded up windows, everyone waking up on the floor, no one here seems to know whats going on, unless of course someone here does and they are not saying anything.  All of those things are just going to equal to something bad aren't they?"   A light sigh left him before putting his hand back in his pocket.   "Can't seem to even go to an academy without something just ruining my day...."

After saying this he turned to his attention to one of the others there, one that was literally shaking in fear.  "I could ask you the same thing."  He stated in a nonchalant manner despite his own worry about this situation which was anything but normal.  "But hey, no need to piss yourself, it seems we are all here against our will, at the very least I know for a fact I am."  He took a small step to the more frightened person, though he didn't get any closer than just out of arms reach. "Really though, you should chill out, shaking all the hair off your head aint going to help anyone.  What's your name?"  He asked simply trying to strike a conversation, in hopes it would not only calm her nerves but his as well, because he had no clue what the hell was going on.

"Um... I think that's the smell of melted chocolate. It smells like it's at least a year old..." He stated as he held his nose with two of his fingers.

"Is it just the chocolate, though?" She thought to herself. It might not have been the only thing smelling right now, but for now, Natsumi decided that the chocolate was the main reason why the whole room smelled bad until she could find something else that smelled worse.

"Um... I know I don't know any of you, but are you alright?" He asked the girl who had taken notice of him.

"Huh?" Her attention fell back on the brown-haired boy as he asked her. "I'm...about as fine as you can be in a situation like this," she answered while taking a quick look around the room. A guy had just gotten up and tried to ask the whole room a question, but then again, so was everyone else. "Thanks," she said contentedly as she focused her attention on him again. What an odd first question to ask. It wasn't a "Who are you?" or "What's going on here?", but a question about if she was alright. They had only just met, right? Well, not formally, of course. "Speaking of..." her thoughts trailed.

"What about you? Are you all right?" She asked to return the favor. Suddenly, she perked up a bit as she seemed to remember something. "Oh yeah! Before I forget, what's your name?" She asked.

A surge of warmth enveloped her as her arms and legs grew more awake. She'd probably be able to move soon.

Natsumi laughed quietly to herself, mentally noting his embarrassment.

"My name is Woshii Zuzu. Call me either, depending if you want to be close friends or not." He joked. "I'm also the Ultimate Fencer. Pardon my rudeness, but I never asked for your name. I was more worried about the others conditions."

She lightheartedly shrugged off his need to apologize and answered his question. "I'm Natsumi Ishikawa, the Ultimate Interviewer. The same goes to you, I guess," she said as she put a hand on her hip. She could feel the fabric of her skirt now, at least, so that was a good sign. "If you're fine with me calling you Woshii, then you can do the same for me," she said in mutual understanding.

"Hard to believe I'm making friends in a place like this..." she thought comically.

Natsumi whipped out a pen from her front pocket and put the other hand inside one of her pockets, but she stopped almost as soon as she started rummaging through it and looked visibly concerned about something.

"What? Was it confiscated?" She thought, trying to remember where it might be.

"all of us are in the same boat." cho nodded sadly, biting her lip in disappointment. she wasn't sure what to do about it just yet – should they shout for help? try and wake up the others? some other girl seemed to be almost be doing the former, but as far as she could tell, it hadn’t had any effect. if anything, cho listened fretfully as some boy seemed to already be trying to talk her down when she seemed to rightfully be freaked out. that kind of pissed her off. did he really expect them all to just take this in stride? it was clear something wrong here without even making assumptions. after all, nobody was going to take a bunch of strangers - teenagers, especially - if they weren't about to do something unsavory.  human trafficking? slave labor? there was an innumerable list of bad stuff this could be! they couldn't afford to sit and be polite right now!

"then what are we doing?" cho shouts, her disbelief so blatant she almost sounded hysterical. she didn't mind – someone had to treat this as serious as it was. "if none of us know why we’re here, we should be trying to get out!" jeez, didn't anybody even care what happened to them?! there was no mistaking the look of this room; whoever was holding them here had malicious intent. maybe escape efforts wouldn't work, but nobody was even trying! and she certainly wasn't going to sit around and wait for someone to decide for them. while nobody was stopping her, she decided to stomp off to one of the closed off windows, to see if she could do anything to try and get them to budge. she especially was not expecting someone like her to be able to move them, if they even could be moved, but still... she pushed, grabbed at it, and strained to twist it around, but of course, nothing happened. she couldn't exert herself for long before she gave a long-suffering sigh, and looked back around for anyone to assist her. if nobody awake had any sense, she’d just wake up someone here who did. there were too many people here for none of them to care.

Natsumi sighed, resigning to the idea that she might have lost the notebook she'd had earlier.

"You can tag along if you want, Woshii," she said, giving him a short nod as she slowly got up and stood.

"Here, I'll try," She told the blue-haired girl struggling at the window while she stretched her legs a bit. She walked over to the wall she was standing at, eying the heavy boards. It didn't look like they could easily remove them with their bare hands, but with enough people, then maybe...

Natsumi put her hands at the base of one of the bars, giving it a light tug. Surely enough, nothing happened. "Want to help me try getting this off?" She asked the blue-haired girl.

cho blinked, almost surprised someone had responded positively this quickly. “oh… yeah.” she supposed, turning to meet the eyes of the taller girl. well… this was a good thing. everyone here wasn't crazy or something. she smiles sheepishly. “thanks.” it was clear cho wasn't about to accomplish this alone, so thanking someone was the polite thing to do, even if was only common sense. that done, she gives a resolute nod, before turning back to the coverings with a determined look. she was prepared to give this her best effort, even if it wasn’t about to do much. when the other girl looked ready, cho gave it another go. she stepped a foot up onto the wall, and pulled at it with everything in her.

“grrrr… argh!” her face had even gone red with an obvious strain, but no matter how hard they pulled, it still wasn't doing any good. cho slumped down onto the wall at their evident failure, exhausted and disappointed with the result. she had expected about as much, but she had hoped that, despite that, there might be some sort of miracle that got them out of here fast. no such luck, apparently. that didn't necessarily mean they didn't keep trying. who knew how long they would have to mill around freely like this? she looked back at the boy the other girl had been talking to earlier, and then to the girl herself. “sorry... if they’re all this sturdy, i guess we won’t cover it.” cho skirted a little to the side, giving a quick tug on one of the other window’s cover just to check. yep. it felt the same. she slapped her hand to her face.

“i’m cho yamaoka, i guess…” she pouts, the introduction seeming to come as something as a resignation. in truth, now she was just uncertain what to do. should they just keep trying the windows, or should they be scoping the room for something more substantial? this was all kind of taxing. she breathes deeply, either still a little out of breath or just sort of frustrated. she finally looked questioningly at natsumi, ready for suggestions, and maybe a name, if she was offering. it would be an unconventional way to start introductions, but desperate times, or whatever.

"Yamaoka, 'you guess?' Maybe I should've looked for someone who memorized their own name before I started talking to them!" She stopped, considering that her words were probably a bit harsh, especially in a tense situation like this. "Sorry, that was my attempt at a bad joke," she said sheepishly. "I'm Natsumi Ishikawa, Yamaoka," she greeted with a short nod. "Do you see any big guys here? We could probably use someone with a bit more muscle than us, to say the least," she admitted. "Who knows? It might make all the difference."

She heard her 'classmates' yell and introduce them self's but she  had no idea how to do that. She is not very charismatic at all. She couldn't live in her shell any longer so she opened her eyes. She looked at the boarded up window's and wondered way they had to be like that. She got up from her place from the floor and dusted herself off even though she didn't have anything on her. She remembered her master rule:

RULE 18: Don't trust people. They are all have evil. Have the advantage on them and pull at weaknesses.

"You think this look's fun..." She directed that at Minori and tried to continue but failed at so. She then looked at the two girls try to pull off the bars "I don't think that will work you Id-." She stopped herself luckily from calling them idiots but then she just back off a little and wanted to see what would happen.
