So It Starts...

The large classroom felt ecstatic just by entering inside. The room itself was generally empty. The room was designed to fit over thirty students, yet it housed only a third of the numbers it had once fit. It was far from an unusual sight in the village of Kemuri. It had once been able to fill the classroom to the brim, now it struggled to maintain even a third of those numbers. This year presented its largest class of Genin in nearly a decade.

A rather scruffy looking man sat at the teacher's desk. His legs rested on the desk as he was propped back on the cheer. His black and white flower bandanna covered the top of his head with the village forehead protector resting snuggly onto onto of it on his forehead. His long black locks reached down just above the gender of his back. His dark shades covered over his eyes, obscuring his brown eyes from view. His mouth was only slightly showing, a piece of straw resting in the corner of his mouth slipping just past his black scarf.

Seji propped himself up a bit, glancing at the classroom, seeing several familiar faces. He had acted as an academy teacher for several years now. He had been with many of the students for a good chunk of their learning experience. As excited as many of them are, he was just as enthused for them as he was for himself. It was the first class he had truly worked to help grow through the most difficult years of the academy. He didn't show such enthusiasm... after all it wouldn't be very cool to do.

The chuunin finally propped himself up. He took his feet off the desk as he stood up. It was well over 5 minutes past when class was meant to start, something most students came to recognize he could never show up on time for. It was rare to see him even being on time, naturally though he couldn't start until he at least begun a bit late.

"Alright lil ones, you have been swimming with the big fish for some time..." He spoke as he pointed his thumb at himself, doing so in a very calm and calculated move. "Now its time for you little fishies to swim free of this little pond and flow into the ocean." He spoke as he used his arm to mimic the motion of a wave. It was obvious to any students who paid attention it was one of his random 'poetic' moments, often ripe with cheesy lines and philosophy.

"Know that you all have a place within my heart... for the heart is... well kinda like an ocean, but on another whole new level." He spoke in a rather relaxed voice, placing his foot up on the desk, leaning in as if doing some strange pose. "My little tadpoles are going free, but yah all will be in 'ere." He raised his hand in a fist, tapping at the center of his chest twice.

"It's a crazy world out there, but I believe you all can fly free and show it who is boss, spreading yo knowledge that your dear sensei Sej taught ya! Now... its time I assign my booty kickin' dudes and dudettes off to your new teams. Yo awesome teach'es should be here to guide you into being such an awesome ninja like myself." He smirked as he picked up the paper. His eyes darted to the team names as he sighed, scratching them out as he took a few moments to rewrite them, all while hoping to build some tension.

"Squad A, code name 'Awesome Ocelot Paw You Never Saw' will consist of Karasu Yoshitsune, Masaru Akimada, and Minori Sato. Squad B, code name 'Bodacious Flow You Will Know' consists of Mochizuki Tonbo, Kiyoko Sakae, Kiso Ringo. Last but not least is Squad C, code name 'Cool School Who'll Beat You Fool' made up of Ago Aburame, Daichi Yamakuchi, Mizuno Fujiwara" He spoke speaking almost lyrically as he spouted out names he came up for code names for the teams on the spot.

"Now yall, its time I go off. Being my last day as teach here, I'm off to other things. Show em who is boss, and one day you will be a boss like me!" He spoke going to the open window. He gave a salute in response. "Just wait here and your new squad leader will come and take you up under their wings soon. Peace out!" He spoke giving a way before falling back, vanishing out of the classroom in a way he viewed as 'most cool', leaving the students to talk about their new teams and awaiting their new squad leader.

Everyone who has beenaccepted is now free to post. Students can mingle with one another, talking either to new squad mates or with other students they might have established friendships with. Go nuts and start developing away your characters. :)

Mochizuki Tonbo

The Free Spirit of Kemurigakure

Prior to class, Mochizuki was sitting quietly in her desk, waiting for the announcements.... though sat, quietly, and waiting were all relative terms..... very relative. Mochizuki could barely keep herself in her desk as she bounced from one side to the other, her hands shaking in anticipation. Today was a great day. Seji was even on time! She was too happy to keep waiting! Her wings buzzed with her mood. It was in people's best interest to give her a wide berth.

"♪Imma be a ninja, Imma be a ninja!♪"

Her singing only quieted down as Seji actually started talking, though it persisted into humming, her wings keeping her in beat.

Her eyes lit up as he called Team A, hoping to be called quickly.'Awesome Ocelot Paw You Never Saw', Mochizuki liked that one. . First person... not her. Second person... not her. Mochizuki let out an audible "aw...." when Minori was called, losing her beat.

She started up again as Team B began, while she didn't react to the name, she lost her beat upon hearing. First name... 'Mochizuki Tonbo'.

"WAHOO!"

Mochizuki jumped with her fist in the air.

'Kiyoko Sakae, Kiso Ringo...'

She didn't know exactly what to think, but hey, she was going to be a ninja. With that, she turned off on listening, hoping Seji would finish the rest quickly without much of a speech. Her focus changed to looking around the classroom for the other two, visibly not paying attention to Seji as she turned around to see them. She found Kiso first.

Found you!

It didn't take much longer for her to find Kiyoko either. She waved.

Turning back around, she heard the magic words 'peace out'.

In the blink of an eye, she jumped out her seat she was only half in anyways, and leaped across the desk into the aisle. She ran at Kiso.

"Yay!! We're in a team! Let's go grab Kiyoko!"

Ago Aburame

This was it.

THIS WAS THE DAY!

The day where she
metamorphoses into a true ninja! Not some tiny easily squashed ant, but like a true and proud grasshopper finally becoming an adult! true she was still able to be squashed, but at least she could hop! The young lady sat in the middle of the room, grinning like a madwoman, she loved this place, the classes, the teacher, the strange kinda moldy smell coming from one of the corners of the room, all of it! True she had to leave it all behind now, probably unlikely to come back to this place over again... But she'd gladly trade this place for the many other wondrous locations she will explore! One room for the whole world, sounds like a good deal!

Adjusting her shades as her name became called, her grin only became bigger once she heard her team name...
"Cool school who will beat the fool." she spoke to herself, barely stifling a laugh, it was gloriously dumb, but thats the reason she liked Sensei Sej, you could never predict what he was going to say next, which was just fine for Ago.

"Daichi! Dude! Same squad!" she shouted like he was a mile off, she knew the dude somewhat well, knows that hes a pretty big prankster and Ago has to say she is a fan of said pranks, mind you she laughed at pretty much anything vaguely funny.. so.. shes a fan of many things. "Oh i can't wait to meet our new sensei! i wonder who they are? maybe.. oh oh! A sexy seductress, maybe... oh! A handsome warrior! or... or maybe!-" she went into a spree of thinking just whom her sensei could be.

most certainly, she is incapable of being disappointed.

Kiyoko Sakae

Although Kiyoko had been holding in her excitement the whole day, anyone that knew her well could tell how excited she was. She had never been good at keeping her feelings from coming to the surface. Soon she would be ready to go out and see the world. She had thought so long and hard about all the things she might see, and this was the day she would finally get to see it all. She was a little peeved that Seji was taking his time with this. This was hardly a surprise, but she had hoped he would at least be prudent on their graduation day. The more he got through his little speech, the more Kiyoko's fingers clutched together.

Upon hearing him announce the first codename, she had to resist the urge to make an audible groan. Sometimes, Seji could be an interesting man, but his attempts at humor were the one thing Kiyoko never wanted to explore. And yet, upon hearing the second codename, and learning that was to be hers, she was almost sad the first codename wasn't her own. She had no idea what "bodacious" even meant, and she did not want to encourage Seji by asking him for an explanation. She could only hope whoever their teacher was had no intention of entertaining Seji's nonsense.

When he was finally done, she got up to seek her comrades. As she might have expected, she was beaten to the punch by Mochizuki Tonbo, who was notoriously "energetic". She had already bounded over to Kiso Ringo, their other teammate. Of her, Kiyoko had heard that she had a rather rigid code of ethics of some kind. She and Mochizuki were going to make an odd combination to say the least. She was already feeling her nerves act up, but she forced her best smile and made her way over to them. "Hey guys. Uh....good to be in a team together, right?" First impressions were everything, and she could only hope she wasn't already being judged harshly. She hoped she wasn't going to come across as too awkward. Perhaps she would be saved from a long conversation by the timely arrival of their team leader...

Kiso Ringo stared at sensei, nothing too strange for her as she focused on the man. The world around her seem to drain of noise all but her heart thudding in her chest, the time had come she was going to become a ninja for her village. This feeling sent an icy shiver up her spines along with some weight, she would be seen as another important cog to the machine of her village. She would accept this job with high spirits this was an honor that few could turn down, she could even breath life back into the Ringo Dojo. Giving her mother a reason to smile more, rather than scowl at everyone she saw that wasn't her daughter. While this chance also gave her a chance to see the world outside the ruins of the village, however; dangerous this would become she would meet this head on.

Then came the moment she was waiting for, her brows raised up as the first names read off for the first squad. However, the name given for them made her expression go blank as if someone told her down right stupid. She recovered quickly this was her teacher after all Sensei Seji was never considered a comedian in her book, an oddball, but it was maybe she never understood his sense of humor never got through to her .Then the second team name came she regretted her judgment on the first name, she was up for a trade now.She was on a team with Mochizuki Tonbo who didn't lose any time to come greet her with a loud "Found you !". Kiso icy blue eyes stared at Mochizuki, honestly Kiso had no idea of what to make of Mochizuki this girl was something of a wild princess to her knowledge.

Then their third member appear her greeting show some timidness perhaps or was she afraid of something? Kiso eyes seem to search her to for a moment before looking down at the desk top ,pushing off it taking a step away from them before turning back to face them. She had decided if sensei willed it they will be a team and with that they should cast away any doubt at least, Kiyoko had shown some concern of something Kiso couldn't label what it was.She seem somewhat rigid as she gave both of her new comrades a slight greeting bow," Greeting I am honor to be in a squad with you two,may we work well together." her tone was formal as if she was in a meeting of sorts , once greeting them warmly Kiso would now wait and see the reactions of her comrades before she choose how to handle them.

Karasu Yoshitsune

It wasn’t until he slipped into his seat, blinking blearily, that Karasu realized something was off.

He stared at the man at the desk, and then at the clock—and then once more at the man, just to confirm that Seji-sensei was, indeed, there and not just a figment of his imagination.

Was he really that late? No, it couldn’t be… Seji-sensei was always at least half an hour late—Karasu’d only spent a few extra minutes training, surely not enough to be

that

late…right? Black eyes turned towards the clock once more, and he rubbed at his eyes as he tried to focus more precisely on the time.

No, it was only five minutes after class started. Why was he—?

With a start, he remembered what today was: graduation; how could have he forgotten? They were finally free from the stupid Academy, free to learn actual shinobi techniques and serve Kemuri—finally free to start training in earnest. After today, he would be able to contend with Haru…

He stopped himself from pulling a face at the thought, and settled more firmly into his seat, resisting the urge to doze off. Karasu, impressively, managed to sit through the next few minutes without falling into unconsciousness—like he usually did—and was therefor rewarded with the dark-haired chūnin before them standing and giving a small speech.

…And what a speech it was.

The young boy stared disbelievingly at their teacher, who had, apparently, gone into some incoherent speech littered with talk of oceans, fish, and...tadpoles?

What?

He was usually asleep during class, meaning that he missed out on a majority of the lessons, but if

this

was what the lessons were like...well, he wasn't so bitter about his low test scores, anymore.

Chin propped on his hand and eyes half-lidded, barely remaining open, Karasu managed to get through Seji-sensei's spiel barely conscious, mostly by maintaining a sort of dozing state that allowed him to ignore a majority of what was being said, only picking up the occasional "tadpole," and "heart". Finally,

finally

, Seji announced the teams.

Karasu's first thoughts were:

Masaru Akimada and Minori Sato, huh?

And then:

wait, 'Awesome

Ocelot Paw You Never Saw'? What the hell?

By the time he got over his shock and irritation had a chance to settle in, their teacher—ex-teacher, actually—was out the window and their classroom had broken into conversation, abuzz with excitement and anticipation. Shoving down his annoyance at the ridiculous team name, Karasu gave a yawn and stretch before rising to a stand, scanning the small group of children around him for either one of his two teammates. He noticed the head of purple hair first, and summoned up a smile with the ease of practice, hiding his annoyance and fatigue, and walked over.

"Hey, Masaru-san,"

he greeted, amiable despite the fact he could count the number of times he'd spoken to the other boy on one hand—mostly due to Marasu's clear arrogance at getting some of the higher test scores in their class.

"Looks like we're in the same squad, ah?"

Daichi Yamakuchi

Daichi was sitting in his chair, when his head popped up to hear the teams announced. His heart was racing and he was struggling to even think straight. Seji Sensei was speaking, but Daichi failed to listen until he mentioned the new squads.

Hopefully I'm on a team with somebody cool, like Karasu!

"Squad A, code name 'Awesome Ocelot Paw You Never Saw' will consist of Karasu Yoshitsune, Masaru Akimada, and Minori Sato," Seji Sensei read off the paper. Daichi simply nodded his head in acceptance and moved on.

Then, maybe I'll be on a team with a pretty and smart girl like Kiyoko, or somebody exciting like Mochizuki!

"Squad B, code name 'Bodacious Flow You Will Know' consists of Mochizuki Tonbo, Kiyoko Sakae, Kiso Ringo."

Daichi sighed this time. Everybody he was hoping to be on a team with, wasn't on his team. He was thinking this was okay at first, until he looked around the room and saw who was left.

"Last but not least is Squad C, code name 'Cool School Who'll Beat You Fool' made up of Ago Aburame, Daichi Yamakuchi, Mizuno Fujiwara"

"Great," Daichi sarcastically said, louder than he meant to. He was hoping that Ago and Mizuno failed to hear him.

Yay, i'm with the Noisy Cricket bug girl and a boy who I've never even heard speak a word.

Despite his honest feeling about his new squad, Daichi tried to not show that. Instead he smiled. Finally, he was a ninja. He would be going on missions and be making new friends. He was mostly excited to meet his squad leader. Ago made it clear that she was curious as well.

"I don't care who it is, I just want to meet him or her already!" Daichi replied with clear excitement. While he thought he couldn't possibly enjoy his new squad, he realized that he spoke with true thrill. "Where's Mizuno at though?" Dachi questioned.

@Fallacy @Orikanyo

"Mizuno? i don't know where that guy is on the best of days, sneakier then a mosquito that one, can't get him to talk about anything! Heck i can't even get him to tell me his favorite bug, weird booky types yea know?' Ago stated as her eyes looked around the room for the elusive young man who was now their partner in crime.

"jeez, would it kill him to come to us? maybe he forgot today was a school day, probably reading somewhere... i never understood his books, no bugs, never see him reading a entomology book either." he motor mouth continued to spout out whatever thought came to her head, like a water spout that had it's tap broken off.

"Daichi what do you think our new teacher will be like?' she asked her new partner as she stared at the door in anticipation.

@Fallacy @Check

Kazou Yamamoto

"Thank you, here is the payment." "N-n-n-o need! it's on the house today~!" the woman stammered as she handed the man his tea, her hands shaking as much as her voice. "Truely? Thank you very much, it smells wonderful." gingerly picking up the cup in his fingers he sipped the tea with an exquisite grace befitting a gentleman, the tea, a mixture of mint, honey and a tiny bit of milk, though the lady put abit to much in it this time, he didn't mind, it was what he needed to wake up in the morning, and this was one of the very few tea shops in the city... Sadly there was few who could afford a luxury... he supposed the extra subjugation missions served another purpose it seems.

Finishing his cup he left the money on the table regardless, a sizable tip as well for the lady, a good reward for such a kind gesture, he left with a smile to start this day, hoping that he would be able to keep this nice mood throughout. Today he met his team, this would be his third bunch he has risen to chuunin, would have been fourth, maybe fifth, if he wasn't a medical nin... But he was needed to save lives, we were under staffed as is... Didn't need people dieing left and right.

Nearing the school house he ran over his student's portfolio's in his mind, Masaru Akimada, young genius, great potential, will probably need work on his teamwork even if he favors himself a leader type, hubris has killed many a man in the past. Karasu Yoshitsune... taijutsu and kenjutsu adept, shows promise, perhaps i can make him a master while were together.

As for the last one... Minori sato, this young lady interested him, a blank slate, though she is quite weak in the ways of genjutsu, she seems well rounded in other things but her physical stamina could use some work.. most likely stems from her poor family, lack of food and funds can do that to somebody... goodness knows he has seen it. Cute though, he should watch that he doesn't play favorites.. and that the boys don't start fighting over her...

Stopping his thoughts he coughed into his hand, his face slightly red. "...Almost there.."

.........................................................................................................................

His gaze came upon the school house, the building old and deteriorating, but still a place of fond memories for all people, hopefully in his lifetime it will be refurbished.. maybe... maybe he should start up a donation drive for it-

Thats when he saw Seji drop out of the window.

His calm constant smile almost immediately turning into a slight scowl and a disapproving frown as he saw the man once again.. he had forgotten.. HE was their teacher... What habits will he have to break from them he wondered.

"Seji... Why were you climbing out of the window?"

Seji-Banner_zpsrwidcgtr.jpg

Seji had landed gracefully on the ground after his 'bad arse' exit. He adjusted his shades looking up. He had planned that type of exit since the night before. It only seemed right he would have a flashy exit as his life as an academy teacher. "Ah... graceful as can be you think? They will forever know me as the coolest teach' they ever knew." She nodded with his arms crossed as if he was talking to himself. Those who knew more fully would realize he was infact talking with the Daemon bound to his body named Emp.

An audible groan was heard through his head. You looked more like a jack-ass, one that is barely able to keep up their own lame weight. The daemon cracked out in disdain over Seji's 'exit'. Seji seemed almost unaffected by the insult, only grinning wider as he bit on the piece of straw resting in his mouth. As far as Emp went, that was often the closest he would ever come to a compliment. It was often hard for people who knew their relation to think they actually managed to work together so well now after so many years of working together.

The man turned slowly, looking over towards Kazou. He waved his hand in response as he ventured over. "Yo gramps, just wanted to give a lil' show for my departure. Gotta' make them swoon from how awesome ya' are right? Much like how you get all the ladies all up on wanting to be wit' ya?" He commented with a light grin on his lips. It wasn't unusual for him to call Kazou such a name. It had been something he elected as a name after his team eventually faded out with himself and his fellow Genin graduated on from being under Kazou's direct care. It wasn't meant as an insult, a lot of his silly names weren't. His own thought of 'insults' were very.... 'unique'.

He stepped forward, slinging his weapons over his shoulder that he had left right outside the window for his planned 'escape'. He opened the top of his jacket, fixing himself up to look slightly different wanting to come off more 'cool' as an actual 'jonin' teacher. He couldn't go in simply as he was... even if all the small adjustments were tiny at best. "Now I be ready to flow, gotta show dem' lil' Genin the next level of cool, graduated now with a K." He gave a light nod in response to his own words.

Kazou sighed heavily, no matter what he says, Seji will be Seji... "I understand you want to have a lasting impression, but you can do that by being a great teacher to them, not hopping out a window like a loon." Kazou remained unfazed by his words, steadier then a thousand year old tree... Atleast when he ignores the last part of his words, more often then not a shot at his... Charisma... Gods above may he forget about that for 10 minutes... as if Ginko's teasing wasn't enough...

The man stood tall and re fixed his clothing. "Have no fear Seji, I shall break them of all the bad habits you brought upon them with ease." he pulled his kote tight to his arm, giving the man a slight smile. "Regardless, i read my team's file... they seem quite interesting, Is it true that Masaru is a genius? Hard to believe if he was taught by the king of morons." he shot once again, mainly in response to the "gramps" comment.

He looked quite presentable today, and his mind matched, clear as can be. He timed that last mission beautifully, and like clock work he shall stay un-accosted for atleast 2 or 3 more weeks.

"Karasu... he will be most interesting, I wonder what shall come on him." he mused once again on his future students, wondering about what type of person they were... Well, atleast wondering about the first two, his third shall need work regardless. "Now then, I was told there was to be another teacher, do you know whom it will be?"

@Hanarei @Siri (Segway~!)

Ginko Tetsuya

“Hey, sis, are you going?”

Ginko looked up from her bowl of rice, brows furrowed at she stared at her younger brother.

“Ah? What’re you goin’ on about, Dōdo?”

The ashy blond head that had remained slumped for a majority of their breakfast perked up, and pale blue eyes brighted. “Yeah, Dōdo!” Kimiko sang, suddenly and surprisingly chipper for one who usually never awoke before noon. “What are you going on about?”

Dōshi rolled his gray eyes and visibly held back a groan. “You know,” he said, gesturing towards Ginko with his his chopsticks, “for the Academy graduation team thing?”

Shit!

“Language,” the seventeen year old warned halfheartedly, but it fell on deaf ears; the jōnin clasped her hands into several seals and vanished with a faint puff of smoke.

Her younger brother didn’t look fazed at the sudden disappearance, merely sighing with exasperation. His cousin, on the other hand, fell into slightly muffled giggles.

Dōshi scowled at her. “I wouldn’t be laughing,” he said sternly, “if you ever become a shinobi you wouldn’t want to be late to important meetings either.”

“Yeah, okay.” Kimiko rolled her eyes. “What ever you say, coz. You’re a chūnin but you never do

anything!

His ears pinked but the boy otherwise didn’t react beyond narrowing his eyes and hunkering down to finish his meal. “Honestly,” he mumbled around his own mouthful of rice, “she’s old enough to be our

mom

. Fourty-five and

still

late to team assignments, I can’t believe it.”

Ginko, after abusing the Body Flicker Technique a bit, finally was within a reasonable distance to the Academy.

Shit, I hope I’m not too late

, she thought, taking a moment to fix her hair and adjust her clothes; it wouldn’t do to present herself as a scruffy, unreliable person to her little bitty genin, now would it? She was meant to be their role model, their faux-parental figure, their guide for the future.

No one wanted their guide for the future to have cowlicks and dust on their jōnin vest.

Of course, not like you’d be able to tell the ash apart from the gray vest to start with…

With that cheerful thought, the gray-haired woman walked through the Academy gates, stride prideful and long. She hadn’t the foggiest who the other teachers were, but she felt vaguely sure that she had been given a scroll or something with the names of her genin on it…? Hm. Ginko paused for a moment, trying to cast back her memory.

Genin scrolls, genin scrolls...

After a moment, she thought she remembered them: Kaicho Kamayuki (no idea who that kid was), Mikuzo Fujimara (something about ice and kekkei genkais), and Hago Aburame (that was easy: bugs). The older jōnin belatedly realized that she should have, perhaps, taken this entire thing more seriously and not have been so focused on her own missions and the like, as well as taking advantage of her rare lull between missions. Dammit, she

knew

that break had been too long! In hindsight, it had obviously been given to her with the purpose of allowing her time to prepare, but...well.

Feeling slightly irritated with herself, Ginko continued on, nearing the entrance when she spied two familiar dark-haired heads. After taking a moment to pause and squint, her red-painted lips split in a wide grin and she hollered:

"Yo, Ka-chan, Seji!"

She raised her hand in greeting as she approached, coming to stand besides her old student and slinging an arm around his taller shoulders.

"Why, Ka-chan, whatever are you doing here?"

she said, using the childish nickname he'd asked her to stop using around the time he'd been promoted to chūnin. She'd refused.

Then, she addressed her student's student, smiling widely at the man.

"Been awhile, Seji,"

Gin said,

"guess I didn't realize that you've been lurking here, teaching the small baby children about how to be a shinobi."

Her head tilted, and her grin turned shit-eating.

"But I'm here to teach some lucky three genin to be

real

shinobi, none this soft classroom crap that you do. Right, Ka-chan? Right? I'll make 'em into real shinobi lady-killers just like you, ah? I'm the best sensei anyone could ask for."

Seji listened to his old teacher, giving a shrug in response. He wasn't one who registered the idea of 'insults' even if they happened to be playful in nature. He looked to Ginko as she approached listening in as she seemed to mimic Kazou response. He lifted his arm up extending his fingers out spread holding them up before his chest. "I be a foo to try and simply get kittens to become wolves! Instead I teach them to be baby falcons to swoop in and learn mighty quick to become better wolves!" He commented giving a nod as he crossed his hands making up some terrible analogy once again. As much as he liked to philosophize, he was notably terrible at wording things.

He gave a thumbs up in response. "Got a class full of cools I helped to grow. Some a bit resistant, but I planted the seed of coolness that will let you shape them into champs." He spoke with a smirk, gloating a bit at his own efforts. He stretched a bit looking at the Jonin. In truth, it was a bit odd to be stuck as a little chuunin meant to teach Genin in the same way. He was ensured that he was being looked upon for a promotion... his little Genin would be his pathway to just that, and also his prized achievement in making the 'koolest' squad to ever exist... even if Kazou's would be hard to top considering it had himself.

"Better get moving I'd gamble. The students are sure to ramble. I'll be inside soon enough, I gotta let me students build with anticipation to know just how great I am." He spoke with a smirk, giving himself a light nod. The students full well knew how he was, though he was far to stubborn to drop such an act. It was a far easier task of simply staying and announcing he would be the squad leader of team B, but it was far from the glorious 'introduction' he wanted to be known for.

Mochizuki Tonbo

The Free Spirit of Kemurigakure

Mochizuki didn't even have to go running to Kiyoko, she came up fairly quickly, and gave a quick introduction. Mochizuki wondered why she seemed scared? She pressed her finger to her chin inquisitively. Wasn't today suppose to be awesome for everyone? Then came Kiso's turn.

Mochizuki expression flickered a bit at Kiso's formal greeting for just a second. It sounded like something her father or mother would say. She reflexively hoped she wouldn't get any lectures about being 'polite', or 'formal', but then remembered Kiso was only her age anyways. It was bad to judge, afterall, Mochizuki was suppose to be a 'princess', and she hated that label. Maybe Kiso had a super fun side?

Thinking of 'superfun', Mochizuki looked across the room at Minori for a minute. She was still disappointed, but turning to her two teammates, her two new friends, she buzzed about just like normal.

"Yay! First day as a team. Wonder what our teacher is going to be like? I kinda hope we get a team name change. Why did Team A get such a better name, does Seji not like us or something? Kinda hope we get to meet him outdoors, feels too stuffy in here."

Mochizuki's main reprimand in the classroom other than 'pay attention' was for calling their teachers by their first names.

Kiyoko Sakae

Kiyoko was surprised at how formal Kiso was. She had heard a few odd comments about her, but she hadn't expected her to be like this in casual conversation. But Kiyoko did not mind at all, in fact, she could respect the importance of formality and politeness. It did make her wonder if she was expected to act in kind. With that in mind, she performed a hasty bow of her own. "Ah, yes, it's an honor...too." She wasn't used to bowing and saying things like "honor" so she hoped she wasn't making a fool of herself. Chance was she was doing just that though. That aside, she felt that maybe these two would be alright. She was starting to calm down.

Then Mochizuki brought up their teacher. And the team names.
"I'm not so sure he was singling us out..." She spoke softly. While she did feel like they had the most ridiculous name of the bunch, she didn't think any of them were worth having if she could help it. "But yeah, I'm sure those names will be an afterthought to our teacher." She couldn't imagine anyone other than Seji himself wanting to waste time on silly team names. "I, um...I guess I just hope our teacher is someone interesting." She didn't specify what "interesting" meant, and she hoped she wouldn't have to. Elaborating on what was interesting to her meant going on about her hobbies, and talking about her hobbies was the fast track to being labeled the team weirdo. Maybe the others would be more interested in volunteering their own opinions then probing hers.

Her icy blue eyes observed the others she felt that she had made enough headway thawing the tension. She wonders if she had made a fool of herself, but she didn't let this hold her back inside Kiso mind she felt that she clear the first hurdle. She would have been half listening to the other as her mind was roaming toward being knowledge that she was a ninja now. These two would be likely part of her squad for most of her career until they became Jonin. She came back to reality blinking a few times, as she gazed at the other two wondering if they had noticed her tone out for a moment.

Her mind replaying vague comments first from Mochizuki,Something about wondering about who their teacher was and perhaps meeting them outside.

The thought of who their teacher was made her cringe a bit, she hoped that their teacher wouldn't be an intelligent focus teacher. She knew she fell well back behind most students of her year in the IQ department. Then she thought a bit more about Mochizuki recalling seeing the girl climbing trees, but she didn't know why honestly, Kiso shifted her attention to Kiyoko something about a silly bow .And then she went about talking about singling them out , then something about hoping their teacher is someone interesting. Kiso agreed she hoped for a there teacher to be someone interesting, she tense up a bit it wasn't a warrior job to think, she would accept whatever came their way. Her expression showed that she may have thought to say something, but she didn't silently crossing her arms and just gazed at her teammates.

Kazou gave a slight sigh as the man rubbed the bridge of his nose, the two of them together was quite the thing to deal with... If it wasn't Ginko, it was Seji... Though... he guessed that is how he knows they are important to him, he'd suffer all the embarrassment in the world to call them friend.. and they make sure remembers it.

But Seji's words were true, it was time to meet the kids, the kids they were to make into great healers, teachers, killing machines, masters of the blade, spinner of illusions... And many, many more things that one couldn't dare to begin and imagine. These children had unlimited potential.

Hopefully someone doesn't ruin them with dancing moves and being an utter fool...

Regardless, it was time.

"Let us go, they must be quite excited, and I admit, I am aswell."

Ginko Tetsuya

“’Seed of coolness’…is that what they’re callin’ it now, Seji? I can’t believe you’re going to take all the credit for how awesome my future genin are going to be,"

Ginko complained, removing her arm from around Kazou's shoulders in order to fold both of arm across her chest.

Honestly speaking, she still didn't know what to make of the entire thing; it'd been awhile since she'd last taken a student, and the Council had made clear—

very

clear—their thoughts on her after the War. Was the undertaking of students their way of trying to rid her of her 'pertinacity'? Or, perhaps the severely depleted number of jōnin warranted the using of any jōnin?

Or, maybe they decided a cripple was better to be used as a sensei, rather than in the field,

Ginko thought, momentarily bitter, but dismissed it a heartbeat later. Whether it was any of the former reasons, or Renai just thought her fit for the job, it didn't matter: she

would

make sure her genin were well trained.

From his words, she took it to meant that Kazou was going to be a sensei as well, and leveled him a smirk.

"Just make sure not to break any genin's heart, ah? They're fragile and impressionable—if you flaunt around your pretty face and manners like normal, you might make them swoon."

Her obedient little student had grown into a good shinobi in his own right, and had gained a pretty face to go with it; plenty of civilians and a good number of younger shinobi were already, as she'd seen with her own two eyes, infatuated, and she didn't doubt that at

least

one adoring genin would fall prey.

Ah, the innocence of youth.

The older woman nodded at their words, absently adjusting the glove that covered the hand of her prosthetic.

"Yeah, you're probably right."

Ginko headed towards the door of the school building, glancing behind her before she entered.

"

Well, I'll be heading up if you wanna accompany me, Ka-chan. Don't be mad if we steal your spotlight, ah, Seji?"

Heading instead, she climbed the stairs and tried to ignore how quiet the halls were, remembering how loud and bright they were in the days of her childhood. Once lively and filled with muffled chattering of small groups of children and the yells of irritated teachers, the ambiance was gray and dreary; it was easy, too easy, to figure out which classroom was Seji's amidst the rooms with doors that stood half-ajar and smelled of dust and mildew.

Taking a deep inhale, Ginko threw open the door to the brightly-lit room with a bang and little warning.

"Yo!"

she greeted, grinning, raising up a hand in a mimic of how she'd hailed Kazou and Senji just minutes earlier. She strode inside, eying the small group of genin she'd just surprised, and took up a stance at the front of the classroom, arms folded across her chest.

"I—"

she glanced over to the side, at Kazou, who'd accompanied her upstairs,

"

we,

"

she corrected,

"are some of your jōnin-senseis. I'm the sensei for Squad A, which three of you fortunate brats have the privilege of being on. Now, which of you are my lucky, lucky students?"

Daichi Yamakuchi

"I have-," Daichi was about to reply when he was cut off by the door opening. In came a tall dark skinned women, clad in grey and black clothing with grey hair. She had a pretty sweet looking glove and gauntlet on her left hand. At least in Daichi's opinion.

"We are!" Daichi shouted in reply to her question. He was excited to see his new teacher. She seemed cool to him and was obviously a pretty awesome shinboi in his eyes. Daichi tapped Ago on the arm. "I lied. To answer your question better, I think our teacher is going to be female, tall, and have grey hair." Daichi smiled and looked back up at his new teacher. "So, uh... What's your name again?" Daichi asked.

The day had finally arrived. After going through the Academy three times, Ryu had finally reached a point where his Taijutsu could pass the final exam. Of course, he had Aced the Genjutsu and Ninjutsu tests. He could have passed them his first time through... The point was, his days at the Academy were finally over, and maybe, just maybe, he could get back in his Father's good graces...

After his first failure, one he committed intentionally due to his shame over his nonexistent Taijutsu skills, his father had disowned him. He had been kicked out of the family home and forced to fend for himself. He had, from that moment on, gone around taking up any odd jobs he could get his hands on. Usually, it was manual labor, like building repairs or field work. He managed to scrap enough together each month to live in a tiny apartment, barely big enough for a bed and desk.

The labor had made him strong though, and had done wonders for his stamina. He was, in many respects, someone everyone in the village knew in some way, shape or form. Many adults in the village knew him as the young man who would take on any job so long as there was some pay involved for rent money. The other youths, on the other hand, knew him as the kid that somehow failed the graduation exam multiple times.

He was, as one would expect, one of the oldest in this graduating class. He was a very handsome youth, and many of the girls around the village had taken notice. Of course, none would ever approach him. His multiple failures made him something of a pariah among his peers, after all. At least now that he graduated, part of that stigma would be gone.

He was sitting in the back corner of the class, furthest away from the doors as their instructor gave his... unique... farewell address before departing out the window. Ryu's eyes looked across the classroom to his new squad mates; the Genius and the Swordsman... In this squad, he had the lowest Taijutsu ranking, but the highest Ninjutsu and Genjutsu rankings, but that glaring issue with his Taijutsu still hung over him like an ominous black cloud.

A Ninja that is incompetent in Taijutsu is not fit to be a Ninja, much less a Mizuchi.

His father's words echoed in his head, causing him to sigh a little bit. Ryu shook the memory of his father from his mind. He was on a squad at last, so now he'd finally have the opportunity to prove himself.

He brushed a strand of hair that somehow escaped his half ponytail over his ear, his long hair hanging just a few inches past his shoulders. He couldn't help but wonder if their squad name was in some way a reference to his Mind Projection Genjutsu... After all, it served the sole purpose of concealing something from sight.

Ryu shook the thought from his head, slowly standing up and making his way over to the other two. His test scores were right about on par with Masaru's, but that was only because Ryu had taken the tests multiple times and had practically memorized the tests from taking them so many times. Ryu held no doubts that Masaru was intellectually his superior. What was hard for him to accept was that the brainiac was also his superior in Taijutsu, if only by a slim margin...

"Hey Masaru, Karasu.... Looks like we're in the same squad..." He remarked, not quite sure what else to say. Those that saw him around the village often saw him as happy, friendly, and very much outgoing. Among his peers though, he was a bit more reserved. His own personal doubts about his abilities left him constantly worrying about being inferior to his peers. So much so that he didn't really talk to them at all unless they started the conversation. For him to start the conversation was, in itself, a rarity. If he ever got off his obsession with Taijutsu and focused on his Ninjutsu and Genjutsu, he'd probably have a higher opinion of himself. As of this moment, however that was not the case, especially given he was painfully aware his Taijutsu was weaker than both of his squad mates.

As the first Jonin Sensei entered the room, he adjusted the scroll on his back self consciously. Who was going to be their Sensei? What would they be like? Questions buzzed through his head as he returned his gaze to his new squad mates, pushing his worries and concerns to the back of his mind as he did his best to make a positive first impression.

Ago Aburame

The young lady almost rocketed out of her seat once her name was called, all but ignoring Daichi's words in her flurry of rushing forward to greet her her new teacher, not unlike a dog saying hello to somebody new who came into the house.. or any person who came into the house for that matter.

"Hi! I mean, hi Sensei! I'm Ago, Ago Aburame, I'm SUPER pumped to meet you! You look so cool! How many missions have you been on!? Whats that gauntlet thingie?! How many jutsu do you know!? Do you like bugs!? Have you always been with the town!? Oh my gosh you're so coooooool!"

The young lady nearly burst with excitement at her new teacher, whom she already saw as the coolest thing that ever hit the cool part of the world by a storm of coolness. She seemed older, but super strong! Like a... like a... now that she thought about it she couldn't place her comparison in the bug world.. maybe she was something else? MAYBE a new type of bug!? A bug sensei!

While her brain continued to jump to conclusions she had the look of a stunned child as her mind left her to take a bathroom break and consider it's options in this moment over a nice read of the newspaper. "Daichi, dude! We got the best one!"

And thats when the other sensei walked in.

@Siri @Check

Fixing his clothing as Ginko walked through the door, he gave a slight thought on how to make the best first impression, should he come off kind? harsh? Strong and silent? Perhaps he should go in with a display of technique? No... No thats what Seji would do, hes above that sort of tomfoolery. it was time to meet his students... and pray that Seji didn't corrupt their minds.

With a large exhale he stepped through the doors, his eyes scanning the group of students before him, all sitting down.. well some were atleast, a loud mouthed one seemed to be chattering a thousand questions a minute up front of Ginko... Atleast he didn't have to deal with that one. His gaze softened once he found his beat within the room, walking forward to face them all with his sheet in front of him, his eyes gazing down towards it with a slight bit of confusion...

...Did my sheet change? he thought as a slight bit of confusion graced his features, however it wasn't the time for confusion, he simply needed to call out to them.

"Karasu Yoshitsune @Siri , Ryonosuke Mizuchi @One Mean Ghost , Masaru Akimada @Edward Valentine , I am Kazuo Yamamoto, I will be your instructor for your years as a genin, please come forward, we have a great deal we must cover." he stated to the crowd in a stern voice, one that echoed slightly and all but quieted chatter from the anxious crowd.

His eyes scanned for anybody to perk up and answer his call, surely he didn't have a group of deaf genin? If he did... well... that would most certainly be a strange situation now wouldn't it?

Yuuki Mifune

Yuuki fidgeted slightly in his seat off to the side of the classroom. This was it, all that work had paid off and he was now a full fledged shinobi. He ran his thumb along the smooth lacquered saya of the katana he had resting against his shoulder. The blade was a family heirloom by the name of Ryuga. His father, the current head of their small clan, passed the sword onto the boy when he became a Genin. The solid black blade had been in the clan for generations, its origins and make having long since faded from memory.

The young Genin's mind wandered slightly as he watched students filter into the classroom. Which of them would he be teamed up with? He couldn't help but wonder if they would get along or not. He tended to be fairly invisible during his time at the Academy. Being the host to a Daemon like all members of his clan left him somewhat alienated from the other members of the village. Part of him couldn't blame them. After all, it isn't uncommon that these hosts would lose their sanity and become a dangerous threat. Thankfully this happened a lot less to members of the Mifune clan. But that didn't change anyone's views on him.

"It's the burden of our bloodline," His father had told him. "You'll just have to prove to them you're not some monster." He had said while ruffling Yuuki's hair.

Yuuki's fingers lightly brushed against the cool metal of his forehead protector. The village's emblem had been engraved into the smooth steel. He had proven himself worthy to the exam proctors, but things were only going to get more difficult from now on. His eyes shifted towards the door as another set of footsteps could be heard entering.

Wait.

He glanced up at the clock then back to the Chuunin that had stepped into the classroom. The boy blinked once, twice, a third time even. Seji-Sensei is actually on time for once? Their instructor was infamous for showing up at least a half hour late to class every day. It was so consistent that many students had picked up on his habits. There were many times that Yuuki was tempted to follow suit and show up late. But chances are, the one time he would do so would be the day Seji was early to a class. Or at least that was the kind of luck he tended to have.

He watched as Seji tossed some papers onto his desk and took a seat. Judging by how he leaned back and propped his feet on the desk, they weren't going to be starting anytime soon. Figures. Yuuki massaged the bridge of his nose silently hoping whoever his sensei would be was at least a little better with time than Seji.

Finally, after what felt like forever, Seji stood and started a little speech. Oh no... It was yet another one of their sensei's attempts at trying to sound wise or philosophical. Needless to say it never worked. After rambling on about some metaphor involving fish and ponds, or something, he started to announce the new squads. Yuuki leaned forward ever so slightly, waiting to hear who he may have been paired with.

"Squad A, code name 'Awesome Ocelot Paw You Never Saw'"

The boy gave a low groan and rested his head against the desk. Really Sensei? How are squad names like that expected to be taken seriously? He listened to the three names read off, noting he wasn't among them. Hopefully Squad B's name would be a little better, right?

"Squad B, code name 'Bodacious Flow You Will Know'."

Nope. He should have known better. This was Seji after all. Again he listened to the names listen off noting that he also wasn't a part of this squad. That meant he had to be in Squad C, right? He raised his head slightly as Seji began reading off the final squad.

"Last but not least is Squad C, code name 'Cool School Who'll Beat You Fool' made up of Ago Aburame, Daichi Yamakuchi, Yuuki Mifune."

"Great,"
he heard Daichi groan. At least that answered what one of his squadmates would think about working with him. He let out a quiet sigh as Seji took a dive from the window. Honestly, would it kill him to leave normally for once?

A squad with two swordsmen... how interesting. Yuuki stood as Ago raced over to Daichi and started firing off several questions. While a talkative girl, she wasn't bad by any means. Heck, she was one of the few that didn't look at him any differently than the rest.

"Hopefully we make a good team," he said to his new partners in an unintentionally low voice. He only listened as they discussed who their sensei could possibly be. Not that he wasn't curious as well. How long would they have to wait around anyway? The eventual opening of the door answered his question. Two unfamiliar faces entered the room, their eyes scanning the small gathering of Genin.

A tall woman with dark tan skin and grey hair introduced herself as their Jounin instructor. Daichi and Ago certainly hadn't wasted any time in introducing themselves to her.

Perhaps this could work out alright.

Ryu watched as the second instructor entered. It was obvious the instructors would be coming in rather quickly now. When all eyes were on the two instructors who had entered, and when the instructors themselves had their eyes on the other students, Ryu made a few quick handsigns, placing his left hand over his face. His index finger was just under his left eye, his pinky under his right eye, and his middle and ring fingers were together just under where his Third Eye would be.

If anyone had been looking, it would seem like holes opened up in him all over his body, the holes expanding until they joined and he vanished entirely from view. When the Sensei looked at his paper, Ryunosuke slowly made his way forward, the chattering of students, the bug girl in particular, completely covering up the sound of his footsteps as he moved to stand directly next to the Sensei, reading the paper to see if he was on it.

Before he found his name, however, the teacher spoke up rather loudly, and, as luck would have it, his name was indeed on the paper.

"You don't have to shout, Sensei... We aren't deaf you know..." Ryu's voice came from the air not even a foot to the Sensei's right side. He moved his hand from his face and, like when he disappeared, holes seemed to open up in the air, this time revealing him instead of concealing him as they expanded until he was in full view once more.

Mind Projection... It was a very handy jutsu, especially for someone that otherwise struggled with stealth. It allowed the user to project a sort of cloak with their mind to conceal themselves, or something else from sight. It was a purely visual jutsu, but still quite effective, even if it did have numerous drawbacks...

Some would wonder why he did it. The reason was simple. He wanted to prove himself early, and demonstrating a technique like this may just be the best way to prove himself right out of the gates...

At the very least, it would make an impression...

Masaru Akimada

Huh? Whats that? Why do I keep hearing my name? Oh yea, its graduation. Dad woke me up. Mother made breakfast. She finally made something edible this time even if it was toast and peanut butter.

Masaru couldn't help but crack a smile, hidden under the entrapment of his arm pillows that had disguised his face.

I ate the food, had a cup of decaf that she poured me. She worries for my health so she does little things to make sure I don't go completely insane like my other family members. She thinks I don't notice and it makes her happy but come on Mom. The taste of decaf is obvious compared to caffeinated. It doesn't matter. I didnt want to argue today so I just ate and went to take a shower. I got dressed and came to school.

"...Masaru Akimada , I am Kazuo Yamamoto, I will be your instructor for your years as a genin, please come forward, we have a great deal we must cover."

Oh? It seems the sensei has finally arrived. I should probably sit up and...

A huge and long yawn appeared on the boys face as he came up from his arms. He started stretching his arms above his head and outwardly. Suddenly arms and chest began to shake from the intense power of waking up for a second time of the day. Masaru looked over to the two sensei's who could of said and decided to just let things play their course. Masaru played koi and stayed silent. He took out some pocky from his back pocket to punch on while he waited to see which one of them was his sensei.

Seji-Banner_zpsrwidcgtr.jpg

It was nearly a minute after his two elder Jonin ventured in that Seji strolled into the very classroom he had done a dashing escape from just a bit earlier. The straw that had been in his mouth was moved to the other side with his swords resting on his back now. He looked around, as if looking upon a new batch of students despite the fact he had been teaching them much of their time in the academy. He lifted his hand in a fist as if it was some intricate greeting, seeing as Ginko had acted upon her introduction.

"Yo! Nice to see a bunch'o fresh faces up in 'ere. I'm Seji, some of you might of heard of my name. Don't worry, I'll be teachin' some of you how to be rockin' and rollin' and booty kickin'. You can't go wrong with uncle Seji is in town." He spoke raising his thumb up pointing at himself. Her spoke very much as if he was meeting them for the very first time. It wasn't something completely new, it was usual for Seji to often 'forget' someone's name at times, even though he would easily recite it later without thinking.

He glanced around, noticing he had forgotten the paper, shrugging it off. He ventured up the what was his desk, playing it off as if he was new. His hand lifted up to fix his glasses as he stopped at the desk. "Gotta admit this desk set up is just all around cool." He spoke out loud into the room. He grabbed the paper holding it up.

"Now... lets see. Ah yes, the coolest team name at all, your ol' teach knows how to preach the good names! Members of Bodacious Flow You Will Know, I shall guide you to being the baddest of bad awesome squad you will know. Its my privilege to give you the privilage of serving as my young disciples. All of yo classmates are sure to be jealous to not be you, riding under my wing my lil foos!" He spoke out with a wide smirk, looking towards Kiso, Mochizuki, and Kiyoko briefly. Of course he knew who his students were, but he played ignorant of it.
