Weapons: [in picture ^] Uses spears, pole-arms, or staffs. Current weapon is picture above.
Armor: [in picture ^] Light leather armor that she wears all the time. A sun pendant is tied to the inside of her vest.

Role: The town's odd job employee. She gets paid as a way to continue running the book store her father used to have. She wants to be an archaeologist in the future just like her father.
Skills/Abilities:

  • Basic training of pole-arms: Her mother taught her a few things with the pole-arm. After that Kelala began to self-teach herself with her father's book collection.
  • Electricity: Because of her elven blood,  she inherited her mother's talent for magic. She's able to conduct electricity at her finger tips. It helps with stunning some opponents.
  • Bookworm: Her home is the bookstore; of course she'll end up reading most of the books. There isn't much though but her brain does retain some useful details and the most ridiculously useless ones. She can read a full book in less than two days depending on size.

Strengths/Weaknesses:

  • Quick witted: She'll use her surrounds to ensure her success.
  • Over confident: She's confident but to a fault. She believe she can fix a problem once she puts her mind to it. This could lead to her freezing up in the future if she feels like she failed. The perks of being the oldest and independent.
  • Stubborn: Her stubborn nature will make her try again and again for any action she believes is correct.  Good at some times but annoying in others, depending on the situation.
  • Courage: Any adventurer needs this, especially for someone who plans to trek the whole world in hopes to find her father.

Alignment: Chaotic Good

Personality: Kelala's personality is based around the influences of her family and the multitudes of books she's read. With her being by herself most of the time in her house, she's learned to be independent but its made her keep her problems to herself. She believes she can solve her problems by herself. Despite that fault, she's still friendly with strangers. Her father once said that there are many different people in the world, and sometimes you have to put yourself in their shoes if you want to understand why they become who they are.

Her reckless courage and good nature comes from the adventure books she's read. The tales of heroes standing up to save Geovitae has been stories she's memorized by heart. Don't be surprised if she's picking a loosing fight (please look out for her if she does). She doesn't enjoy enclosed spaces due to a exploring incident near her town, but she'll try her best to endure.

  • Likes: Books, Exploring, Learning, Home
  • Dislikes: Enclosed spaces, Inequality, Abuse of power

Background: A good two-three paragraphs is fine. You can add more if you want. Daughter of human, Archaeologist  Worick Evergreen and  elven, Huntress Maye'en. Taking after her dad, Kelala takes mostly after her father, looking more like a human and having his knack for consuming knowledge. Her magic abilities come from her mother, which appeared when she was young; they believe her miracle is close to the energy that powered the ancient's relics. After her younger sister was born, her mom takes the baby Elana and heads to her migrating clan, leaving Kelala with her father. So for all her childhood years, Kelala is mostly close to her dad, bonding through his story telling and teachings. Her mom shows up with her young sister once a month; turns out she believes its best for Elana to understand the elven culture because she looks more like one.

Kelala's morals form as she pays attention to the actions of the people around her. The town of Ariz is a peaceful place that does trade with the passing merchants. Everyone in the town does their part to keep the place running. Because her father is a book collector and famous for publishing some common ones, their home is right above her father's bookstore. The two run the shop while doing odd jobs for the town folk in order to not fall back on their taxes.

"You learn best through stepping in their shoes, my little sun. People have emotions and reason."

"But what if they don't have it?"

"They aren't people."

During her mid teens, Kelala's father decides to return to exploring Geovitae on the request from some old acquaintances. She made herself busy during those periods when he's away by making herself more useful in the town. Whenever he returned after a few weeks, his once peppy demeanor was chipping away. He would always mumble to himself while writing something down in his worn out notebook. Her dad still continues his facade of being fine whenever she was around but Kelala notices his weariness.  When Kelala was 21, he doesn't return from his trip after many months had passed. While he's away, Kelala's mother takes note of the town's resources, noticing how the water level of the nearby river is decreasing with every visit. Crops are also beginning to dry up, causing the town to have less items to trade with merchants. Everything is going downhill and no one knows why.

A courier delivers her father's notebook to Kelala after two years go by and the town believes him to be dead. The only message preventing her to believe that is the last page of his notebook.

Awake the sun and moon the day before they come together. Take care of Death for he is lost and searching. The two lovers must remember of what they once had. Their tears will purify the last remaining stains of our ancestors.

My little sun, retraces my steps. It may look hopeless but remember, "Mend their hearts for they shall listen."

His last message quotes the book he used to read to her when she was a child.

Kelala goes on a journey to save her town, find her father, and understand why the world is as it is.

Misc: She always has her father's notebook on her and her mother's sun pendant. "Don't look back. Stay positive," a chant when she's nervous.
