Raven Kade
Only a little dead
Name: Adelaine Mardrahl
Nickname: None
Age: 39
Sexuality: Gay
Role: Adventurer, Bandit, Generalized layabout of all trades
Alignment: Chaotic neutral, leaning good
O_o no gods-damned heels on the boots tho. Just saw that
Weapons: The saber pictured above, along with a few knives tucked away in various places.
Armor: She usually relies on her old black coat, which has chainmail in its lining. She also owns a full set of plate armor, but she has not worn it in nearly nine years. Her coat is much thicker than it looks with several square feet of thin but warm cloth tucked into it which she can spread out on the ground or use as a blanket.
Skills/Abilities:
- Blademaster: She is an exceptional sword fighter, well trained and highly experienced
- Iron Will: She has, to put it simply, seen some shit. Her willpower is formidable, and she is exceedingly difficult to shock or disgust.
- Healer's Overflow: She regenerates much faster than most, with most wounds closing in a matter of minutes to hours, and even broken bones not lasting much longer than a week or two. She also can use more dramatic healing magics on others, but has not done so in nine years. However she has a much higher metabolism than most, and enough minor injuries will exhaust her.
- Purify: She can purify food or injuries, removing most all poisons. It can also remove most dark magics, but with more potent darknesses it becomes a test of will and power, her against the other caster. Purifying things does food drains her mildly, but attempting to purge darknesses or disease exhausts her.
- Basic Thief Skills: She is a decent lockpick and carries a set of lockpicks in her boots. She also knew how to pick pockets and cut purses, but those skills have gone far more rusty.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
+Physically resilient as well as powerful
+Improved recovery
+Smart
+Well trained
-Anti-social and grumpy at the best of times
-Oft too heroicly inclined for her own good
-Hates to be looked to as a hero or a leader
-When fighting at the limits of her skill she tends to put a little too much force into her movements, as she originally trained with a broadswords, and even now that training forms the underpinnings of her skill.
-Strictly speaking has a bounty on her head courtesy of some minor members of the Malificous family.
-/=Reacts violently poorly to being startled or suddenly woken up
- Blademaster: She is an exceptional sword fighter, well trained and highly experienced

Background: She is the bastard daughter of a distant relative of the Malificous royal family. Sired on an elven prostitute in the capital city, her noble blood gave her little in life. She was raised in the slums, a street urchin and thief. She stole to survive and to avoid her mother's profession. She succeeded at both and became a rather able thief, although never rising above the level of petty thievery. She likely would have kept to this path until she died or was arrested, but she tried to rob a favored guard of the royals. They recognized some of her features, as well as her potential for magic, and dragged her back to the palace
Her blood bought her life, and little else. She was a bargaining chip and a mark against her sire. Not for carousing, but for being so foolish as to sire an elfen child and leave them amongst the peasants with magical talent. So she was offered a choice, be a political bargaining chip, or join the Knights of Luna. Well strictly speaking she was told that she would be a political bargaining chip with a minor government somewhere, and instead took her right as a part-blood royal to join the Knights for life. This made her a fair number of enemies of what few family connections she had, but could not really be undone after she had joined. So at the age of twelve she entered the training school, and six years later emerged a squire.
Despite her less than auspicious beginnings she quickly ascended the ranks and became well known over time as an honourable knight, eventually rising to the rank of Paladin at age 27. Two years after that she decided that she had gained enough status to renounce her family name safely. She was wrong. Her close relatives in the royal family responded by sending her on a suicide mission with her squad. She barely survived, and walked away from the Knights of Luna. She has managed to avoid resorting to banditry or petty thievery thus far, but she has worked pretty much every other odd job that a farm or village might offer a wandering stranger.
Personality: She was a soldier for most of the first part of her life, and it has left her disillusioned and somewhat bitter. She has already seen more war and death in her life span already than most will ever see, and for the number of times she has come close to death she should probably be receiving some kind of loyalty rewards. Yet she remains a genuinely honorable person who strives to have some value to her life. Despite her aversion to being called a hero, there are more than a few small villages out in the wilderness that would recognize her face and call her one anyway. She is primarily a wanderer, never spending more than a few weeks in any one place, working odd jobs here and there. Yet she has never turned away from someone who needed her help either.
When dealing with her one important thing to remember is that she is incredibly isolated and always has been. Her mother kicked her out at age six as soon as she could move on her own and talk, at which point she spent the next several years stealing to survive. Her paternal relatives all placed no value on her life besides her usefulness as a political bargaining chip. The only people she has ever truly been able to trust were the squad that formed around her as she rose in the ranks of the Knights of Luna. They died, horribly, for which she blames herself. To put it simply she has massive trust issues, emotional intimacy issues, and a great deal of trauma.
[/SPOILER]- Simple filling food
Mount: Currently has a black mare named Smoke
Relationships: None, has no family, friends, lovers, or even allies at the moment.
General inventory: A few bits of travel bread and jerky, along with a decent cheese wrapped up in butcher paper. Carrying two chunks of solid silver, a piece of unknown enchanted wood, and three chunks of unrefined gold.
Favorite phrase is still, "Gosh aren't moose steaks delicious." <_<
