Hello! New to RP

Hey, this is the first time I have tried role play so I'd like to try to meet some people who could help me get started. I've always liked writing, but sometimes writing by yourself can get boring so I thought, "Hey, RP sounds like a fun way to meet people with similar interests and some stories with them. I am a huge fan of JRR Tolkien's Lord of the Rings so I want to do some fantasy style RPs, but I also love future tech and such, so futuristic is another genre I'm interested in. If you have a RP in one of these genres and need another person please let me know. Just be warned, I've never done this before so it's gonna be a development process.
