Appearance
Fox: As a fox, Luce is silvery grey in color with bright blue eyes and a bushy tail. He is fairly large, being thirty-three inches long (83 cm) and weighing 24 lbs (11 kg). He usually has a leather satchel at all times.
Human: As a human, Luce seems to be a man in his early to mid-twenties with messy, decently long silvery-grey hair and blue eyes. He does usually have his fox ears and tails out, but can easily hide them if need be. He has a fairly lanky, slim figure, his height being 5’11” ft. A mischievous smirk is nearly constantly plastered onto his heart-shaped face as well. He still keeps his satchel on hand in this form.
Clothing
Casual: Normally, Luce will wear a simple white shirt with a blue plaid button-up on top, though he leaves the top few buttons unbuttoned, with a pair of simple pants and sneakers.
Formal: Though it’s rare for Luce to dress formally, when he does, he wears a simple black shirt with a slim white jacket, a fedora, black vinyl pants, and white loafers. His hair is always combed to a decent style, though it still is fairly messy in some ways.
Gear
While Luce never carries any sort of weapon, he does carry a leather satchel (with an iron clasp) that holds an enchanted quill and ink set (with the parchment) from his homeland. Usually, it would float and write when he told it to and stop when he wanted it to, but it doesn't work in this dimension... So it's just a normal quill and ink set.

Challenges - Luce thrives on being mentally challenged, enjoying many things such as puzzles, chess, strategy games, and researching extremely complex things, such as the existence of alternate timelines and different cultures. This also gives him the motivation to contemplate abstract concepts such as love and the interest in psychology.
Exploring - Because of his curiosity and need to learn new things, Luce adores exploring the world around him and discovering new places, no matter how remote or dangerous it might be to reach them. He will go quite far and wide to see everything possible and meet everyone he can.
Flirting - Though it may not seem like it, Luce is actually a hopeless romantic at heart, and really, really enjoys flirting with others.
Learning new things - With his unquenchable thirst for knowledge, Luce thrives on learning everything he possibly can, no matter how obscure or complex... Actually, the more complex and obscure, the better.
Pranking - Few things are as equally enjoyable as pranking in Luce’s eyes. He loves when his plans go off without a hitch and finds the most fulfillment in the priceless reactions of his victims. It’s been something he’s done for most of his life, yet it really never gets old to him, especially as he’s constantly thinking up new tricks to use.
Reading - Again, as he is a very scholarly person, Luce absolutely loves reading, be it books merely for his enjoyment, mythology scrolls, or even things such as maps. Romance, adventure, realistic fiction, and historical fiction are some of his favorite genres.
Traveling - Another passion Luce has goes hand-in-hand with his love of exploration is travel. He wants to see everything he possibly can in his lifetime and meet all the people he can, to both feed his need for knowledge and just to have as many experiences as possible in his life.
Writing - Just as he enjoys reading, Luce also enjoys writing... Actually, when he isn’t jotting down what’s going on in the world or plotting his newest pranks, Luce is writing his own romance novel, which he hopes to publish in the human world, though he doubts he’ll ever finish it.
Dislikes
Being called heroic or good-hearted - This is truthfully the one thing he hates the most out of everything, and he will endlessly argue and fight to prove that this is horribly incorrect about him, when really it isn’t that far from the truth. Calling him good or heroic will end with him hating most people for all eternity, as a very few can come back from calling him this, but it will not result in him vowing revenge... A very, very scary fact indeed, considering just how vengeful he really is.
Being humiliated - This is one dislike that comes from his prideful nature. Truthfully, he will do nearly anything to avoid being humiliated, no matter what it takes. However, if a person does humiliate him, they can plan for a living hell when Luce gets around to getting revenge, as he will pull no stops. He will sabotage your work, drive you nearly insane with illusions, and constantly set up pranks for you until you either beg for forgiveness or he grows bored... This is the second worst thing to happen in Luce’s eyes.
Being trapped - Luce absolutely despises being trapped, almost to the point of it being a phobia... If he finds himself stuck somewhere, Luce will completely freak out, and if you are the one to have trapped him... Well, it flatly won’t end well for you once he’s free.
Boredom - A rather mundane dislike, but it’s one of his main ones nonetheless... Luce needs to be doing something nearly constantly, or else he becomes extremely restless and much, much more troublesome than usual. Really, it’s a bit dangerous to allow him to grow too, too bored, as he may make up for that time by setting up the most complex pranks he can possibly think of at the time.
Emotionless people - As Luce thrives off of getting reactions off of people, those who show little to no emotion drive this shape-shifter completely nuts. He finds them much, much too boring, but that will not stop him from pranking them... Actually, that would cause him to become more and more malicious with his pranks until he finally gets a reaction.
Failure - Luce constantly strives to be as perfect as possible, so he really, really hates it when he fails... However, this is one of the few cases where he becomes sad rather than angry when it happens. If he fails too badly, Luce tends to feel as if he’s useless and cannot do anything right, though he always hides it behind his usual cocky act.
His fun being ruined - Something that bugs Luce nearly as much as failure is when his schemes are ruined by someone catching him in the middle of it. This is another situation that may lead to sadness instead of anger, though it also lights a spark in Luce that encourages him to revise the plot and do it again, over and over, until it succeeds... And he wouldn’t give up until it did.
Origami - This is a hatred that goes back to Luce’s childhood, as there was a day he allowed his younger brother, Kenji, to choose their activity for the day... Kenji was always much calmer and less inquisitive, so he decided that they should learn origami, an art that’s quite precise. And, to make a long story short, Luce failed miserably at it. He failed so many times on the simplest things, so, eventually, a life-long hatred for origami formed. He absolutely refuses to ever attempt it again, going as far as to give the ones who want him to try again a painful shock or sabotaging their whole stock of paper for the activity.
Fears
Atychiphobia - Luce prides himself in having a large bag of tricks at his will and a fairly high IQ... Because of this, he is absolutely terrified of becoming completely useless in a situation he wants to help in, however few those may be. Similar to his fear of being useless, there is a second part to this fear... Luce is also terrified of failing, but especially of failing his friends and family. Because he feels like he has to be as perfect as possible, failure is quite literally the worst thing to him, it being almost as bad as being trapped or humiliated... Heck, it could almost be the second worst thing to happen to him behind being called good in Luce’s eyes, which is quite the achievement.
Claustrophobia - This fear stems off of his need to be free... Whenever he finds himself in an enclosed space for an extended period of time, he will freak out, as it makes him feel as if he’s completely trapped. It enlists a panic in him, one that will quickly end in a blind rush around as he knocks down literally EVERYTHING in his path.
Becoming evil - Luce’s greatest fear is actually becoming evil, as he always walks a fine line between prankster and malicious whenever he’s angry... Not to mention, he has driven quite a few people into insanity, stolen some very important things, and done many, many underhanded things to get his way... Manipulation being one of his most common methods if he can’t get the information he wants with ease. Because of this, Luce is absolutely terrified that he will, eventually, be seen as ‘evil’... Though, the fact that he fears this outcome at all proves that he will never be evil.
Losing his family - This is a fear that comes from being separated from his family when he was still quite young... He is very well aware that it can happen again, and this is actually one of his biggest concerns.
Personality
At first, Luce only seems to be a cocky, confident, mischievous, flirty man who is just out for some fun and games. He doesn’t really seem to care about much, really only wanting to have fun and take names while seeing the world, though he is a scholar who enjoys reading, writing, and challenging himself with such things as studying complex topics like alternate timelines.
However, in reality, Luce is actually a kind, uncertain soul who has a thirst for experience knowledge and a need to be as perfect as possible... He loves exploring and pranking, sure, but he is also very protective of his family and feels guilty for abandoning his mate, Alicia, to raise their daughter on her own. He would truthfully do anything at all for his brother, daughter, and mate, though he’d always play it off as ‘eh. It’s something to do’ instead of his own kindness. After all, Luce acts as if he doesn’t care merely because he’s a trickster. He feels like he has to act aloof and self-serving, though he truly is extremely unsure of himself and quite kind if someone can manage to get past his mirage. He actually does have everyone’s interest at heart, and, truthfully, if he wasn’t so fond of playing tricks and being an all-around nuisance, he could be chaotic good as opposed to chaotic neutral. Though, that isn’t to say he goes out of his way to act for the good of others... After all, how else is he supposed to get any amusement? If something is amusing to him, Luce really doesn’t care to interfere... Instead, he’ll merely sit back and watch the show unfold, even if it’s hurting others around him. Thus, he couldn’t really be good, even if he wanted to be. However, there is some limit to his selfishness, as he will do the ‘right’ thing if it will affect him, too, or if more than a few people will be affected by his ‘show’.
Furthermore, Luce also has many flaws, beyond the ones mentioned above. One of the most obvious ones is his cowardice... This man is extremely cowardly, hence why he will usually just sit back and watch a situation unfold, both because it seems amusing and because he’s truthfully too afraid to interfere at all, as he doesn’t want to bring the focus of the enemy to himself and his closest companions, his family. He’s absolutely terrified of ‘evil’ people focusing his attention on his family, thus he flatly doesn’t interfere with either side of a battle, knowing that true villains do not go after the person who causes issues, but the ones they care for. However, on the same side of the coin, the moment his family is targeted or harmed, his cowardice gives way to a sometimes reckless bravery that is just as bad as his cowardice. Another flaw he has is vengefulness. Truthfully, this is why he gets a boost of bravery once his family was harmed... He does not take kindly to wrongdoing, especially against those close to him. Once someone crosses a certain line in their wrongdoings, Luce has no qualms about attacking at full force or driving them into insanity, if they do something especially wrong. And, really, this man holds a grudge for quite some time and has a thousand ways to torment others with his basic abilities. He really, really won’t let up when someone crosses him until they’re on the ground begging for mercy after an onslaught of traps and tricks. A final negative trait to note is that his morals do seem to be quite grey. He really isn’t above bribery, manipulation, lying, or... Really anything except hurting his friends and family or innocents.
Yet another part of Luce’s personality is what he’s interested in... Truthfully, Luce is a very philosophical individual, finding a lot of his time invested in wondering why things have developed as they did and similar ideas such as that. He is very good at understanding the ‘why’ of things, instead of the ‘how’, as it is much more fulfilling, in his eyes, to figure out why something is instead of how it works, especially when it comes to people. Finding his own understanding of abstract concepts also presents a very complex, interesting challenge to him, which is something he also enjoys... Not to mention, abstract concepts provide a much more prolonged fulfillment that will probably keep him very, very interested for the rest of his life... Something physical things, such as learning how things work, will never truly be able to do.
A final danger to note about this man is that he is extremely prideful but honorable. If he loses fairly, he isn’t afraid to admit it... But, that really isn’t what there is to be concerned about. One thing he is especially prideful of is his firm place of being a trickster, hence he despises to be called out for being good-hearted or for caring about others. This is the main thing that can set him off, but it won’t end with the person being plagued by his tricks (most likely, anyway) as if this happens... It makes him so upset, that he cannot even consider how to get revenge or get you back. Instead, he merely retreats into a sharp-tongued, cold demeanor that will be focused directly at whoever dared to call him out on being kind. He will refuse to speak normally to you, and you would have lost his respect for quite some time, if not forever. There are very few people who could ever come back from that mistake, beyond his closest friends and family, whom he could never hate. However, the fact this usually vengeful man doesn’t even consider getting you back for this is almost scarier than if he did vow revenge, as that would at least mean his fury would pass afterward.
So, overall, Luce is a complex man who acts cocky and confident, pretending he doesn’t care about anything at all, though really he is a scholar and an adventurer at heart who would do anything for his friends and family.

Fighting Style
Luce truly doesn't fight, but only uses his own claws and teeth as a fox or his lightning abilities when he does
Crimes Committed/Achievements
~Countless accounts of thievery
Abilities
Control over lightning - This is honestly the only way Luce knows how to defend himself while in his human form, beyond a few basic self-defense mechanisms, However, it also gives him resistance to electricity, and, when used correctly, he can use it to temporarily enhance his speed, though only slightly.
Shapeshifting - Luce can transform into a fox, though he still has his ability to speak and all of his mental capacity when he shifts.
Traveling between dimensions - Luce's most notable ability is what he refers to as portal or realm hopping. Basically, he can travel between different dimensions, though he cannot go into any fictional worlds. His home dimension is really the only one he can travel to and from with no issue since this ability does take a lot of focus and energy, especially if he's trying to go to a specific realm. However, when he's bored, he will sometimes open a random portal with no clue where it leads, since that takes little focus and a lot less energy... But it does sometimes result in being trapped in a different world for longer than expected, which is a real issue when time moves differently in that other world, especially if it moves faster. This ability, when not used with care, may also result in a slight case of poofing out of existence... Especially when it comes to meddling with a past timeline.
Strengths
Charmingness - This man is absolutely not above schmoozing (and flirting with) others, using his charming nature to his advantage. Because he is quite charming in his own right, he can get usually gather the information he wants, though he always has to go to multiple sources to collect enough information to form a complete picture to decide what he will do.
Strategy - Because he is quite intelligent, Luce is extremely good at strategizing, hence why he enjoys pranking so much. Seeing his plans work out perfectly while also getting a spectacular reaction from his victim is one of the most enjoyable things to this creature.
Superior intelligence - Luce is extremely intelligent and picks up on things very, very quickly.
Weaknesses
Bull-headedness - Luce is a very stubborn person, to the point it’s almost unbearable... Truthfully, when it comes to things he feels especially strongly about, Luce will not budge an INCH from his stance and will show clear disdain towards those who try to sway him... Something that always ends with him insulting those around him if he isn't careful.
Cowardice - Luce is flatly a coward. He is not willing to go into a battle or dangerous situation if he can help it, and will go to great lengths to avoid any sort of especially dangerous situation altogether... And even if someone does manage to convince him to help, chances are he will act merely as a strategist until he finds a way to escape. This also kicks up whenever feels he’s failed at something or isn’t good enough for something.
Curiosity - Because Luce is a scholar at heart, he has a nearly unquenchable thirst for knowledge, and thus is constantly curious about something or other. This will cause him to be nosey, find himself in things he really doesn’t want to be a part of, or, occasionally, will land him in a situation that, if not taken care of with great caution, can be life or death or come back to bite him in the butt for years to come. Not to mention, his constant inquiry would most likely drive most people insane, if he doesn't make sure to keep it at least somewhat in check.
Doesn’t work well with others - Between his stubborn nature, pride, cockiness, and cowardice, Luce is not someone you would call a... ‘Team player’. Truthfully, he needs to be completely independent to be the most productive, as his methods are usually quite obscure and under-handed in most cases, no matter what he’s doing. He finds teams just overall annoying, so he will avoid them when he can... However, there are still a couple of people who he would work with, though that group is extremely small.
Holding grudges - Luce is not one to practice ‘forgive and forget’ in most cases, especially if someone hurts his pride... He will hold grudges for ages for the tiniest things, even after he takes his revenge on the one he’s angry with. Truthfully, it’s near impossible to get him to forgive someone if they did something especially infuriating and may end in him tormenting the perpetrator with pranks for quite some time, sometimes to the point where he tries to sabotage everything someone was trying to do.
Overly cocky - When it comes to what he knows and what he can and can’t do, Luce greatly overestimates himself and will up-talk it even more... Thus, he is very, very prone to losing miserably in situations. However, he is aware of this, which adds to his cowardice, though he has yet to fix it... Even though this trait could easily be the death of him during an especially dangerous and/or serious situation.
Pride - As mentioned in his personality, Luce’s pride is one of the most important things to him... He would literally do almost anything to protect his pride, while it also feeds his cockiness and makes any criticism against his strengths seem much, much worse. His pride is yet another thing that Luce must keep in check to keep him able to gather the information he needs, though he often forgets to.
Relationships with Other Characters
Arabella Fontana - Arabella is Luce's daughter, who accidentally got dragged through the portal back to Hell City when he was returning from his... 'Vacation' back to his world. He is extremely protective of her, though they act more like friends than father and daughter. Nonetheless, it won't end well if you hurt her... At all.
Bismarck Saedor - This is a little... Complicated. Technically speaking, Bismarck and Luce are alternate versions of one another (Fem & I discussed this irl and realized they sort of mirror each other, so this is what became of it, hehe--), though they are friends as well.

History
(WIP)
