Writing Sample:

The lights of the club flashed, the base rattled the walls. The smell of sweat and alcohol burned your nose. Bodies pressed against one another strangers danced with strangers not caring they didn’t know anything about one another. Everyone in the club seemed happy, drinking, laughing. Everyone except two people huddled by the door.

“I can’t believe you! How could you lie to me like that?” The tall redhead demanded grey eyes blazing. The man she was with took a step back glancing around them.

“Can we please not do this here?” He asked.

The redhead chuckled. “I’m sorry. Can we not do this here?! Can we not do this here?” She repeated eyes narrowed. “OH NO! We’re having this conversation now!”

The man sighed running a hand through his hair. “Vixen, I did not cheat on you… can we please take this outside?” He asked again softly leaning in to try and take her hand. Jerking away She rounded on him pressing a finger into his chest.

“OH! YOUR STILL GOING THAT ROUTE? Honey, I have the texts. The calls, the bills you can’t explain. Just come out and admit it. ADMIT IT RYAN! Admit you cheated on me!”

Shifting uncomfortably Ryan cast a glance around the club feeling eyes on them. “Vixen, I swear I didn’t cheat… please, can we go outside? Your making a scene.”

He immediately regretted saying anything when he saw the vein on her forehead popping out. “I’M MAKING A SCENE?! I’M MAKING A SCENE?! IF YOU’D JUST ADMIT YOU CHEATED WE WOULDN’T BE HAVING THIS CONVERSATION!”

When she went missing, she actually ran away for a day or two. It was during her early, rebellious teenage years. She ran away as she was fed up with being compared to Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland story, going out of spite in a sort of "You want me to go have an adventure? Fine." She did end up getting hurt while out for that small time and after seeing her parents worry, she regrets the incident to this day and hasn't talked about why she really left. While she was out, she did make her own little private hangout spot in the woods where she still goes from time to time to de-stress. She hasn't told anyone about this place either.

Autumn had shown to commence beautifully, golden leaves having ombred with streaks of russet while the more vibrant plants had submerged themselves into violent hues of scarlet, a contrast so great- and yet, so striking that only she as glorious as mother earth could have birthed it. It truly was a breathtaking season. And with it's initial arrival came a much welcomed sense of tranquility, a sense of routine as the once mildly uncomfortable students had further nestled themselves in their looming heaps of classwork, the deterioration of their mental health and a their failing social lives. Yes, student life had come off to a great start.

The leaves crunched sharply against the sole's of Thomas' boots, crackling like those of searing flames of a fire, the successor uncharacteristically hurried past his most favorited location: the library. Why, it was always so quiet there, enough to clear his focus, enough to complete his copious amounts of work, but more so, it was enough to make him happy. He truly was a simple man, thought many wouldn't believe the fact once they laid eyes on him. He sighed, breath misty with great irritance, classic rich kid stereotype.
