Mike was the popular jock in high school. coupled with good grades he was the all round perfect student. Intelligent and popular to boot, Mike used to be an egotistical jerk. Mike lived it up during his school years, going through girlfriends like the seasons. He knew none of them were his soul mate but it did not stop him from having fun while waiting for his right one to come along. This all came crashing down with the news that his latest girlfriend was pregnant. His parents naturally were upset but supported him. He wanted to make things work for his kid. deciding to give up on his soul mate, he tried to build a life with his girlfriend. Finishing school online, Mike went job hunting until he got a mechanics job. All of his wage going to savings and paying for baby stuff.
Things seemed well, until the birth. his girlfriend Jessica delivered a baby boy, when she dropped the bombshell. She had found her soulmate and was going with him. She signed away her parental rights then and there, leaving Mike as a single father. Child Protective Services moved in, offering to take the child in. Causing Mikes temper to flare as he told them get lost. He then held his son for the first time. Keeping up with his work, his mother offered to child mind while Mike worked. It was tough at first, between work and late night feeds. Mike felt like a failure, to the point where he fell into a depression. It was his sons first smile and shout of papa that dragged Mike from that place to where he is now, earning a decent wage and in a nice 2 bed apartment with his son.....
Personality:
Described as intelligent, driven and persuasive, Mike was known among his peers for being promiscuous, and "loved women" despite his hatred of commitment. Mike initially comes across as being self-absorbed, somewhat vain, immature and an all round stereotypical 'jock'. However, over the events of his life he emerged as a brave and resourceful young man, putting his own life on hold to ensure his son grew up with at least one parent in his life.
