This tab is for the lore pertaining to the future arcs storyline. Once lore is achieved within the IC tab its posted here for all to see. Lore can be achieved from almost anything. Interacting with and helping NPC's with side quests, finding important items and notes, gaining information from certian characters, and simply being observant and making your own theories on the lore based off of the clues you will pick up throughout the story line can and will achieve lore. If you do make your own observation on the lore based off of the clues you have and get somethings correct the you will be rewarded for it and credited as it goes up on the lore tab.

LORE POINTS, MY FRIENDS!

For all eight monarchs rule over each continent and ocean rightfully.
Boys, we've got an eighth, oceanic monarch on our hands. He controls way more than all the others combined, since it's, well, the damn ocean. That's powerful shit. On the other hands, he can probably only oppress magical fish, but it's still something.

"Now class, it's about time we learn about our beautiful government and our continent's monarch." The teacher points towards Yin.

This teacher was like many in today's society, brainwashed and engrossed with loyalty to the monarchs.
Beautiful government, loyalty to the monarchs. Let's say this teacher represents common people common knowledge. Obviously, there's some serious censorship going on here, or propaganda being spread to the people, especially with that Oracle chick getting beheaded and whatever speech she gave. If we can expect others to hold similar opinions to the teacher, it means either:

A. Everybody's been brainwashed

B. There are certain loyalists doing specific teaching. Maybe it's propaganda posters, or, like in this instance, a teacher feeding their students pro-monarch information. 10/10 luminerti confermed.

If you have power, you shall be crushed.
Obviously, if this hasn't been referenced before, monarchs don't like strong people, or, specifically, people who can oppose them, and we get a hint of this at:

Light said:
When those with the ability to use power without the use of an injection speak, we are to follow without a sign of disobedience.
Which suggests that monarchs are the only ones able to use power without injections, and they want to keep it that way, keep their "god" status to the public.

So what conclusion can we draw from some of these points? Basically, learning that the monarchs are bad is a pretty big deal, guys. Why did Valente explain who the monarchs were if it was common knowledge to the mortal realm-dwellers? Because they've been brainwashed into believing that the monarchs are good (or else suffer the consequences). Like, everyone should be shocked. The mortal realmers have been lied to their whole life, the deity realmers should be like: "What the f*ck are these mortals doing with their world?" I know I'm going to change how Jason reacted. I think this was something Light was trying to get at, too.

For each correct point made, you get one point. In total you've gotten three points.

First free set of lore. The Welsh have been wiped out due to a rebellion that was hard to contain. This rebellion triggered the merciless annihilation of its people and the land. After the extermination act, it's land and knowledge of its culture have been sealed away. This happened at least 7 Years after the death of Nelliel Quincy. It was said that this rebellion was orchestrated with in depth knowledge of the European Monarch's riot control tactics which is why such extreme measures were taken. How they knew is still currently unknown and evidence leading towards their extermination have been burned. All there was left to do is wait for the brainwashed to willingly forget as well. Notes on the actual tactics of the Monarch weren't accounted for and is said to be lost within England, whether or not this valuable parchment of information is true or not is still a mystery.

IT'S THEORY TIME!

(So, preceding point quickly: all the parents have been kidnapped and one of them, Isabel, is the literal god of the entire universe, as we all know. Now she should be able to get out of whatever's happening and save the day, but she can't, and here's my theory why )

I think I figured out why the monarchs have infinite mana

So there's eight of them right. Well..
Isabel powers eight people, Alice, Ashlyn, Alexandria, Morgan, Christina, Azriel, Temperance and herself. So they're just stealing it off of Isabel, and that's the reason why she can't actually do anything
And that's the reason for the monarch's existing, they're just there to hold Isabel's power, while the real bad guys, or whoever started this thing (Since it's definitely bigger than just the monarchs as proved by the reaper) have her trapped.

And to distract everyone from the main goal of the bad guys, or maybe to further the goals, the monarch's started ruling over different continents, because most people would notice that pretty quickly (Though I'm surprised none of them ruled over any of the other realms.. or maybe some of them do. Maybe taking over the mortal realm (Where most of Dragon's roar came from, and live) was just meant as a distraction, so everyone would focus on that and not the takeover of the other realms, idk, that's not what this theory is about anyway)

So in short, The main bad guys are literally harnessing a God's power, not to take over the continents, but just so they can keep the God trapped.. maybe so she won't stop anything else that they're planning.

Witches

Witches as a species were endangered several thousand years ago within the Mortal Realm due to a world wide witch hunt. Witches had a natural skill with magic, potions, and incantations. They were feared among-st humans or certain other magic species due to a famous misconception throughout time. A misconception that they were closely related to the satanic element. Most say that the origin of witches derive from the realm of Hell, when in fact their origin comes from the Abyssal Realm. Due to numbers dwindling in the Mortal Realm the source of witch mana itself, Julius, made upgrades to their way of life. He made witches as a species much more communicative. Using himself as a gateway, witches could speak to one another mentally through the witch mana that they share. If a witch needed backup they could locate one another and speak telepathically.

Witches were also given a boost in magical prowess, the ability to blend in more with humans, and a trait called the witch eye. Witches are currently the most proficient beings in existence when it comes to magic capabilities due to the evolution needed to save their species. At first witches gave off an aura that made their species easy to point out despite looking human. Now the only way to point out a witch is by the way they have a natural glow to their skin as if they took a nice shower and applied facial cream. Lastly the witch eye at it's base level gives a witch the ability to see the mana or energy system within another being, giving them the ability to see what they're up against in dark settings. Since most witches at that time hid out in dark swamps. Overtime the witch eye has evolved into several different levels and designs within the iris. Now witch numbers have increased in the mortal realm and the progression of witch kind is at an all time high. With all of this being said, there had to be some witch with extreme talent to help Julius run all of the tasks needed. These tasks consist of keeping communication running, dictating who does and who doesn't get the witch trait and witch mana in their bloodline the moment they're conceived, keeping track of witch mana flow to all realms, and helping witch kind progress. The witch chosen for such a task would have to be above all others in their time to be chosen as the host.

The host would retain the ability to use several versions of the witch eye, including the strongest form of it. They would also be able to share a magic ability another witch has used or created. The host of Julius also has a famous ability among witches, raw witch mana. Raw witch mana comes in the color purple, the color of the witch. It looks like a mix between liquid-fire and gas. Once it touches magic or powers, it devours it completely. If it touches another being it will devour the mana or energy within the body until there is none left. After that, it will devour the victim's soul. The snake, Julius is often seen around the host. Since the source of witch mana itself is a snake, the sacred animal of witches are of course snakes as well. The host is the only witch capable of summoning the actual body of Julius from the Abyssal Realm.

Witches are semi-immortal. They can live for an unlimited amount of years based off of age but can be killed. They may be extremely proficient with powers but unlocking their abilities, witch eyes even at the first level, and becoming a competent witch can take possibly a hundred years. Once a witch has hit the highest level of power they can personally achieve, they elevate to the status of a Grand Witch. Once they hit this level they are offered a gift from Julius or the current host of witch mana. It is said that witches are more likely to produce magical prodigies than any other species, though this is proven to be false since there were only 4 prodigies born from the witch species in all the time that it has existed. All of them still live to this day.

Most witches aren't too fond of humans and live away from them in most cases. Though most witches that are around humans are mostly in-born witches. An in-born witch is someone who was chosen to present the recessive witch trait dormant in their blood line by the host of witch mana. Causing them to be born in a human society and grow up with very little exposure to their kind.

The levels and capabilities of witch eyes goes like this. Once you obtain a new witch eye you cannot use the old one before it:

Jalavae

The ability to see mana within another being's system. This level of witch eyes appear as snake pupils.

Zrethna

It gives a witch the ability to lessen their own mana usage. Snake pupils but much thinner.

Usagina

You can now see what type of magic ability one holds based off of the mana construction within their system. Applies to magic only and not powers. Each eye holds two snake pupils except in an X fashion.

Kalavae

Heightened magic resistance and ability to lessen enemy magic power if direct eye contact is held. The user can also control non high ranking demons. The X snake pupils grow smaller and turn into a plus sign.

Lithnoches

The user can control magic beasts with their eyes. Magic beasts cannot help but obey orders, including legendary beasts. Another set of snake pupils grow around the plus, leaving the plus within the center of it.

Namaes

The user can control magic that is airborne to an extent. This does not apply to powers, only magic. Things that can be deflected consist of fireballs and the like. Single projectiles that are no longer touching the caster. Four purple snakes appear at the outer rim of the iris.

Olevea

The user can mimic spells exactly. The snakes connect and make a full purple ring around the outer rim of the iris.

Frachnis

The user can paralyze a target they make eye contact with for as long as they hold eye contact. The plus in the eye disappears and the snake pupil shrinks into a curled up snake eating it’s own end. The rest of the eye fills with purple.

The Eye of Julius

This pair of eyes belongs to the host of Julius, the sentient form of witch mana. Being the leader of all witches these pair of eyes possess the ability to use all previous powers. These eyes are fully purple with black skinny serpent pupils in the middle.

Witches are either known to be untrustworthy and deadly while others are wise and dependable. The current host/Queen of the Witches is Morgana Van Fenrir. The current host is currently locked away within her temple in the form of an orb, ready to be awakened. Once she does come back to the Mortal Realm, it is said that she is capable enough to cure this world of it's mana dilemma and save witch-kind once more. Her abilities and compatibility with Julius caused him to grow quite fond of her and even wait for her return instead of finding a new host.
