history of glasslake

General history : Glasslake has relatively small town housing about 739 people and mainly has a history following a lot of religious inspired stories. The secluded settlement was built inside the opening of a forest by a few natives years before colonizers took over the land. From this arose the legend of 12 Days, saying it was a curse from one of the Native Gods for allowing taboo. Apart from that, the area was originally created as a farmland, considering as it has an abundance of wildlife from the surrounding forest, which is of great importance to its success. The town itself is basically now a modern suburbs, were practically everyone has spoken to each other at least once. The main thing that stands out and forever will be mentioned, is the Northern part of the town— a gothic wasteland of heavily religious groups and families. The town can be mainly decided up into three sections, each embracing the customs of Glasslake in their own respective ways.

the 12 day myth

General history : “12 days is all it takes for someone to die... Ever heard that before?”

Long before the start of our lovely abode, lived a set of natives who blessed the land and settled in the confined shape of the forest. They were happy, free, and joyful spirits.. ‘Til of course colonists came and practically took over the land for themselves. Some say that because of this, the god of the underworld cursed the land for breaking taboo on that very specific 12th of December. On this 12th of December at exactly 12:00 am, 12 people disappear every year. These are people that could have a small correlation with each other, but entirely it is randomized and decided by someone called “The Game Master”— who is an unknown entity beyond the eyes of the players for most of the day. He does reveal himself at the end of each . It lasts about twelve "days" and each day one person must die.

Survivors have no recollection or instead have PTSD if they do, saying that in reality—it actually last 12 minutes.

The Game Master

General history : The Game Master has existed since the myth of 12 Days. No one knows his exact age, nor are they aware of whether he indeed has a face behind that mask. A number of people believe he is the devil incarnate— a popular opinion in the northernmost part of Glasslake considering it runs Catholic blood in those parts. Some believe that the ghost could be “Death” or the Grim Reaper, as some recoverers retell that the man neither picked a side of good or evil when the question was brought up. It is plausible that he may merely be another unknown entity that no one is able to describe, the man is allegedly said to be able to summon some of Hell’s worst creations on a whim. His stature is about 6’5” and is covered head to toe by a black cloak. A long set of black horns stretch from his head, accompanied by a glow around the hood of his cloak. He wields nothing, and more observes while walking aimlessly around. Some survivors said, if he stares at someone for a very large amount of time, that person dies.

Every time. No matter what they do.
