I'm just here.
I have a role play that I'd really like to do, but I can't get anyone to join it. I'll post it in the response, and anyone who's interested in joining may join. It's designed be dark, gritty, and violent, with a disguise to make it look happy. If anyone's interested in joining, or has suggestions, I'd love the assistance.

Welcome to the Distant Star Academy, where

You can be a hero.

If you follow the rules of course.

You see, here at Distant Star, we have a mission, and it's rather important to us.

We wish to purge the world of all the evil it encompasses. There is danger that reeks the city streets, as well as the prosperous East and anywhere you may go. This plague that destroys our world piece by piece every day is known as The Corruption, an instance of evil that will continue to overtake our world until nothing is left. It can take any form, any shape, and it can infect the minds of even the most pure souls. Hate is its food, but we will be its enemy. We wish to destroy the Corruption in its entirety, and to do so we will need all the help we can get.

Students at our academy will be trained in the highest level of academia and talent, and be given all the skills they need to defend themselves from the danger that lurks our world. Students will be asked to complete tasks which will seem impossible by human standard, and given opportunities to fight in tournaments. They will embark on missions and adventures that excite and bring fear, solely to build character and bring us ever closer to completing our one goal;

Return our world to the light.

But, without rules, our mission cannot be completed.

1. All students must remain in the proper uniform during school hours. Any deviation from this will result in janitor duty.
2. All students should refrain from the use of their weapons within the school besides the specified times
3. Any students using gun based weaponry or explosion based weapons are restricted from the performing of their talents within school grounds besides specified time.
4. Students using music based weaponry or magic are allowed to use Class F musical talents during school hours at any times.
5. All students are restricted from using medical magics on school grounds except within specified time or during emergency situations. Seriously, we don't need another Kacheum incident.
6. All students caught skipping class are within full reason for attack from nearby staff and security. Please remember that we live in a dark world, and any of you caught outside of your permitted areas are a possible danger.
7. Any violence caught outside of the determined time frames will be immediately disciplined.
8. Any professors will perform their sole duties under the same jurisdiction as the students, as noted by Principal Ambrervt
Final note: These rules are in place now but are subject to change. There are many dangers in the world, we must be flexible.

Now, tell us about yourself, please.

Keiden Pakushka Ambrervt
Principal Ambrervt
Amber

=======

A wise man, he stands with an essence of order and sanity. He represents that which humanity hopes for. His smile invites any to come and talk to him as necessary. Anyone may come from anywhere and feel comforted in his gaze.
Not much is really known about Keiden Ambrervt, as he appeared from the blue one day to the higher council and presented his idea to combat the Corruption. He has never actually spoken about where he comes from or what he used to do, but due to the Higher Council's desperation in this endless struggle, they agreed to his idea and began the Distant Star project.
Ambrervts goal is to teach students of the new age to combat the Corruption that overruns the world, and he will stop at nothing to make sure that the youth attending his academy succeed in this ultimate mission.
Ambrervt is friendly with everyone, but can be even 'friendlier' to teachers. His soft expressions and voice bring a sense of order with every word, and he attempts to put a sense of calmness into all who he talks to.

=======

Ambrervt always keeps a pouch of silver with him, as he is a Construct Master, and will often liquefy silver to create a construct.
Ambrervt carries no other weapons with him besides the silver.
Ambrervt is always prepared. There are constantly bowls of liquid silver in his office.

Terran Lee Griggs
Mr. Growls
Grouchy Griggs

=======

Griggs is a rather gruff man. He is not arrogant or ignorant, simply rude and blunt within his speech. He's quick to tell off students, and even quicker to point out flaws. He does not attempt to be cruel, it is only a product of his personality. Despite his grim and irritating nature, Griggs can still find humor in small things, and still does his best to teach the students at Distant Star. He is considered one of the most influential teachers in the school.
Griggs came from the life of a soldier. He was an expert in his art, and dominated in his legion. He was constantly combating the Corruption. However, he one day realized that his skills would be useless and outdated, and so he changed his ways and joined up with Principal Ambrervt, and devoted the rest of his life to teaching students the skills they need to survive in the New World.
To drink a Cinnamon Dark from Maribells tavern before death.
Gruff is grim and unfriendly in general, but can give some rather useful advice if prompted or opened up.

=======

A metal bar of unknown composition.
Griggs is a monk through and through. His magic can be used to perform impressive feats of strength.
Griggs will fight students if necessary.

Casual uniform

Any iteration of these uniforms will suffice

Training uniform
70f85be16aebe5db9c3ac7d5c5dadd7f.jpg

This uniform is Co-ed

1. Out of character should be labeled.
2. Aggression in OOC chats is not tolerated
3. Don't argue with anyone on anything. Settle it like people.
4. NO character should start overpowered unless specifically chosen.
5. Don't put your character class, that's settled in roleplay.

1. This story is created and designed to act in arcs, and this is only arc one. Other arcs will be labeled, so keep an eye out for updates and other such things for further arcs.
2. This story is semi-advanced. Basic sentence structure is required, and more words per paragraph is requested.
3. This story is meant to branch out and evolve overtime. Please do not stay on the drama aspect of the school. The academy is a medium for more stories to arise
4. Keep your backgrounds feeling real and not carbon copies of some emo anime character you saw last week. Interesting backgrounds and three-dimensional personalities are always more interesting.
5. I will not force your character to die. In fact, most characters made by players will remain alive unless specifically stated. Do not be afraid to make a weak character.
6.Starter character power ratings should not exceed 4/10.
7. There are several types of magics and fighters which I will now list out for ease's sake. This will be important later.

(MELEE)
Knight: A simple weapon's user. Little to no magical experience, but great power and skill in their weapons.
Vanguard: A deadly mix of magic and weapon's user. More focus is placed on their melee skills, however.
Ronin: A fast-moving powerhouse with low magical ability.
Shield-bearer: A defensive class with little attack capabilities, but some magic
Monk: A confusing mix of power and magic. It's uncertain whether or not these should be classified as a mage-type or warrior-type

(MAGIC)
Sorcerer: A simple magician, with the power to convert raw aura into energy and force. Not creative, exactly, but simple enough to be powerful.
Sword-stringer: a difficult mix of warrior-type and mage-type magician that uses magic to propel weapons in an attack formation.
Construct Master: A mage-type that can create Constructs and Golemns using various materials around them.
Naturalist: A mage-type that requests assistance from nearby fauna and animals. Similar to a construct, but all participation is optional

(ROGUE)
Assassin: A rogue-type that uses silent skills to perform deadly strikes, but lacks in actual combat
Ninja: A mix of melee and rogue, using deadly silent attacks, but a master in combat tactics. Carries absolutely no magical defense
Trickster: A magic-rogue mix that uses various abilities to create confusion and disarray on the battlefield
Marksmen: A range attack user that does damage from a distance, but is difficult to manage up close.

(MUSIC)
Aggressive: A musical type that focuses on high-energy sounds that create a magical force and cause damage. Often referred to as a Skald.
Defensive: A musician that focuses on low-energy distortions to create a defensive tactic. Usually referred to as a Chordist
Supportive: A musician that balances various energy levels in their music to create support energies. Ultimately useless alone. Referred to as a Bard.
Cantor: A musician that creates similar energies using only their voice. The practice is much more difficult, but much more efficient.
Our lovely home; Lesuvia. (See top image.) This school is surrounded by a massive city. We sit in the center so we have equal access to every part of the city in case of an emergency. Violence is far from rare, but since we can often double as law enforcement, a student rarely has to experience the effects of crime whilst wandering the city.

Lesuiva's fair market streets are brimming with activity on a constant basis. These spots of the city are filled with merchants and customers. Violence is rare, and students are requested to avoid these areas whilst in a combat uniform, as it could scare the citizens. Its near impossible to walk through these streets without bumping heads with another shopper. Be careful if shopping, however, this area has many con-artists as it does shoppers.

In contrast to the gorgeous streets of the market district, Lesuvia's slums are a nasty, vile place that bristles with criminals and violence. This area is usually crowded with thieves and thugs attacking citizens and students alike. Class F students are requested to avoid this area unless escorted by a Class C or higher, or unless instructed by Principal Ambrervt. Fortunately, our great Academy is clearly visible in the distance, which does bring some hope. People here may beg for help if one is around long enough to look richer than them.

Lesuvia's mines may be gorgeous in comparison to the slums, it is equally if not more dangerous. Upper levels are filled with crooks of any possible kind, and murder is far too common here, among other things. No student of lower standing than a Class C are permitted in the upper levels. As for the lower levels, which crawl with dangerous Corrupted monsters are unavailable to anyone of lower standing than a Class A. The corrupted monsters in this area are strange, because we aren't quite certain where they are coming from. There's no openings to the outside of the city for them to pour through, but due to the endless failed attempts to find the source of the Corruption here, and endless lost lives, the matter of the Corruption's origin is hereby a dropped matter.
Seriously, no more students going down here unless there's a real reason. The Corruption wont be down there, so stop looking for it. As for the bottom levels of the Lesuvian Mines, which are respectfully referred to as the "Dead Zone," absolutely no one is permitted there. Following punishment will include immediate expulsion.

Lesuvia's mysterious adjacent forest, the Emerald Forest, is a never ending
Principal Ambrervt's rewrite: There's been too many requests to rewrite this entry on the Emerald Forest, so I'll simply explain its mysteries. For one, the Emerald forest is not actually infinite, we have found the end. This confusion was due to the fact that mysterious monsters and creatures create confusion among travelers and cause them to wander in a circular fashion around the city. For two, the Emerald Forest is very dangerous, but we have since created a path from when we discovered its edges. Only students that are sent on long-distance missions should go further than the two-hundred meter mark into the Emerald Forest. Finally: Yes, it is impossible to build a lasting structure inside of the Forest. The greens rapidly grow around any standing structures and weaken them, destroying their integrity. Please avoid attempting to build shelters or guard posts.
~Principal Ambrervt.

The Prosperous East is a gorgeous golden age of machinery and art, filled with friendly people and lovely architecture. The only issue with this marvel of a city is the distance. The Prosperous East is rarely visited by students, due to the time constraints and dangers that are faced when attempting to reach it. Someday, there may be faster ways to reach the wonders of the Prosperous East.

ab7f9b28140748349285497edf6d43e8.jpg

The Distant East is considerably more strange than the Prosperous East. The Distant East contains abandoned cities and never ending paths of sand. The far mountains in the Distant East are confirmed to exist, but it's uncertain if they're actually reachable. Paths leading to them never seem to have an edge, and mountains always appear to be beyond reach, regardless of how close one comes. So far, no students have ever gone this far, due to time constraints and dangers. Lack of water makes full treks impossible.

The Eastern Badlands are confirmed to be inhabitable, but are unfortunately inhabited with thugs and bandits, and are currently off limits. Further distances are even infested with Corrupted beasts. So far, the precious metals that lie there and useful magical reservoirs are completely untapped due to the various pirates and violence that appears there.

soul-monster.jpg

Warning: The Hellish West is completely restricted to any non-Class SSS students accompanied by at least two high powered staff members.
The Hellish West is a monster infested land that is rumored to be the source of the worlds Corruption. It is a horrific site to behold, and is completely impassible. Monsters there are near invincible, and cannot be dealt with unless in groups. This is the ultimate destination of the Distant Star Academy, where the current Principal will gather the greatest warriors and begin the campaign to destroy the Corruption once and for all.

Extra note: Feel free to ask questions before submitting.
