Pedro frowned as she rushed out and continued cooking having lost track of time. He gave a heavy sigh as she came back and nodded some "I'm sorry, I lost track of time." he said smiling some at her handing her a plate of food "So I go in a bit later today, thought maybe we could have some fun time before I leave." he said sending a wink her way.

Max smiled wide at Carmen and Lily shaking her head some "Its okay, we haven't started yet." she said happily before she turned her attention to Richard blushing some taking the number from him "Thank you, I'll um...call you later." she said softly biting her lip some as she watched him hearing the last bell ring "I'll see you later." she said softly before she moved inside her classroom to start teaching

Carmen smiled and glanced at the food on her plate then shook her head. “Well it’s either breakfast or fun time. We’re getting too old to go for both quickly.” She winked at him. “And I’m home all day so I got all the time in the world.” She murmured smiling at him. “Are you feeling better about everything now?” She asked him

Richard smiled and left her to it, heading home to his very empty house on the base and sighed a little. Not knowing how long he was gonna be there for was stopping him from really making it a home and so he didn’t feel comfortable there yet. He headed upstairs to get ready for work before heading out into the training facility to start work

Pedro smiled some at her "Mmm what if I prove you wrong?" he said kissing her lovingly pulling her to him and taking her towards the counter not really wanting to make it to the bedroom. He put himself together afterwards and panted softly "Look at that, still time for breakfast." he said smirking a bit stroking her cheek gently

Max stood with the children after school smiling as the last one left and went to pull out her phone. She put the number she had received that morning into her phone and pressed call letting it ring. She was excited to possibly see him again even if it was just friends. Ever since she had come back she hadn't really made many friends and she was quite lonely

Carmen giggled and let him go to work once they finished eating, getting through her day off until she had to pick up Javi at midday and then Lily a couple hours later, taking them both to the park as promised and keepin a close eye on them frowning when for once lily was attached to her rather than playing so she cuddled her close and sighed a little. “You okay princess?” She asked her slowly, watching for her son the whole time as well.

richard was on a quick break when it rang and smiled some picking it up “hello?” He smiled hoping it was max and not some cold caller “hey! How you doing?” He asked her.

Max smiled happily when she heard his thick scottish accent on the other end "I'm doing alright, just wanted to see how you were doing." she said happily as she made her way back to her room to get some grading done

Lily frowned some cuddling her close "Is daddy okay?" she asked letting a few tears run down her cheeks when she remembered what she had seen the night before "He scared me last night."

Carmen frowned and crouched down to face her. “Javi do NOT wander off you understand?” She called to him so he would stay close and she could talk to her eldest. “Daddy is okay, sometimes when he gets worried or scared, he remembers what his job was like and he gets upset but he’s okay, he didn’t mean to scare you sweetheart I promise.” She signed to her and kissed her head holding her close, “lets get you guys home “ she mumbled going to collect her son and takin them both home.

Richard smiled some “I’m good, I’m on a break at the moment. So with it being Saturday tomorrow, how about meeting me at the Starbucks just off the base for a coffee and catch up?” He asked her, watching a couple planes take off for simulation exercises.

Lily nodded and went home with her going to play with the dog afterwards when she saw Pedro come in.

Pedro went over and smiled softly at Carmen kissing her cheek gently "Hey beautiful, how are you?" he asked softly kissing the top of her head as he sat down at the table helping Javi eat some of his fruit "The kids have good days at school?" he asked

Max smiled happily "Yeah that sounds great." she said happily while she gathered papers "How about around 11?" she asked hopeful this would go well for the two of them. A part of her still felt like he might not show up

Carmen smiled and pecked his cheek. “Hey, well... javi did didnt you?” She smiled at him as he nodded and reached for his dad to pick him up. “Daddy I get snake!” He giggled. “They had a snake guy come in and apparently he was the first one to want to hold it.” She smiled at Pedro. “Lily not so much. She got scared last night by your outburst... she’s worried about you.” She told him while she got some food in the oven for them all and looked at him for a moment then took javi from him and let him go see lily.

he smiled and nodded to himself. “That sounds perfect.” He told her, writing it down real quick. “I guess I’ll see you then.” He told her happily and Talked for a minute longer before hanging up and saving her number in his phone.

Pedro picked up his son and smiled wide at him "Wow really? That sounds like so much fun buddy!" he said happily kissing the side of his head. He frowned when she mentioned Lily and gave a heavy sigh "I'll go talk with her." he murmured handing Javi over before he stepped outside to see Lily. He waved at her and smiled some "Hey princess, how are you feeling?" he signed

Max nodded some "I'll see you then." she said softly before she hung up and saved the number finishing up her work before she headed home

Carmen watched them through the window, sighing quietly when she saw he little girl hug her dad tight and just refuse to let go. She was glad that these days he saw what he had at home and he wasn’t trying to push it all away or keep them at arms length ‘just in case’ anymore. Again she had a quiet rest of her evening and headed up to bed with Pedro much later on, resting her head on his chest while they watched tv in their room quietly. “When do you start the new job?” She mumbled cuddling into him.

Richard got finished up at work a little later than planned but it didn’t matter too much seeing as he only had an empty house to go to and he went straight up for a shower before spending the rest of the night with a beer and some pasta, watching trash tv todistract him from the silence.

Pedro wrapped an arm around her and watched TV with her as well "On Monday, they'll probably take me out next month to the ship." he murmured quietly to her kissing the top of her head "Am I a bad father?" he asked quietly taking a deep breath "Lily was so scared Carmen...I'd never seen her that scared before." he whispered

Max layed in bed and bit her lip hard as she looked at the number in her phone. She finally decided to dial again hoping she wasn't waking him at all but she was so lonely tonight and all she could think about was him

She frowned some and rolled over to face him some. “Pedro.... you are many things and not one of them for even a moment is a bad father.” She promised him, “she was scared for you not of you. She was worried who had upset you like that.” She murmured to him and kissed his nose. “Don’t let those thoughts eat away at you babe, you’ve worked so hard to get back to being yourself again I don’t want you slipping.” She murmured and held him tightly to her.

he groaned a little as he heard it ringing, on the verge of sleep but answered anyway and sat up rubbing his face. “Hello?” He asked sounding really groggy. “Max? You okay?” He mumbled clearing his throat a little.

Pedro took a deep breath and nodded some kissing the top of her head gently "I love you so much babe." He murmured holding her close to him and nuzzling his face in the top of her head "You know, you smell really good."

Max gasped quietly as she heard his groggy voice hoping she hadn't woken him "Hi...oh yeah I'm okay...did I wake you? Jeez I'm so sorry I...I don't know what I was thinking calling at this hour." She said in a flustered tone that only he had ever seemed to get her in

She smiled and snuggled in closer. “Mmm it’s the perfume you got me.... or it might be Javis baby shampoo. He got it all over me.” She mumbled tiredly and rest her head back “You gonna be okay with the kids for a bit tomorrow? I know you know how to parent that’s not what I’m asking but with your headspace, you sure you don’t want me to call my mom?” She asked him quietly starting to nod off squished up to him on his side of the bed leaving hers empty and Pearl their German shepherd asleep at the end of it.

Richard smiled tiredly and lay back in bed some. “Not really. I was almost asleep, everything okay?” He asked her quietly, yawning some then got up to go get himself some water and also get changed into pyjamas, realising he was still in uniform.

Pedro smiled and chuckled some "Probably a mixture of both." He said softly kissing the top of her head repeatedly until he finally started to nod off with her

Max bit her lip some still feeling bad about calling now "Yeah...Im okay...I just....I wanted to talk to you. It gets kinda lonely here in my apartment, I didn't know who else to call." She said feeling dumb about it now "I'm sorry to bother, I'm just gonna go..."

Carmen got herself out of bed as early as she could bring herself to, hearing the kids downstairs with Pedro and the dog, going to get showered and changed and into her work uniform, heading down and rushing out the door after saying bye to them all.

lily got up from the floor and went to go sit with her dad, tugging on his arm to make him make a space for her on his lap, wanting to read the book he was reading with him he would always trail his fingers along the lines for her so she could read with him but she could only manage funny sounds not being able to hear it at all

Richard smiled some and went to get shoes on. “Text meyour address. I’ll come over.” He told her “I’m serious.” He murmured after a long pause. “If you want me to thst is.” Hequickly backtracked in case he’d put her off completely. He would never do this with anyone else but max was different for him.

Pedro smiled happily at Lily sat with him and tried to reach the words. He pointed them out for her loving that she was atleast trying. It had been difficult for him to find out their daughter was deaf,he was scared of what it could entail but with Carmen by his side it was almost like a blessing in disguise. He just hoped with this promotion meant a good pay raise and he could save up money to get her a surgery to try and regain her hearing

Max went a bit wide eyed but smiled happily ""Oh okay, I will see you soon." She said happily biting her lip as she hung up and texted him her address. When she heard the knock at her door she quickly went over and straightened out her hair and self before she opened it "H-hey..." she said to Richard letting him in "Welcome to my apartment, its not much but its something at least."

Lily giggled when it got to a little joke in the story and held onto her dad. She knew that she was the princess in the family and that even if it was never said she was her dads favorite so she used it to her advantage some days, giving him her puppy dog eyes whenever she needed to.

Richard smiled and shook his head. “It’s fine.” He murmured. “You look tired, I know I’m dead tired, let’s go lay down, I promise no messing.... just getting some rest.” He murmured to her smiling.

Pedro chuckled some and smiled happily at her before he looked over at Javi seeing him contently coloring and watching his favorite TV show. He kissed the side of Lily's head and placed the book down just cuddling her close to him

Max nodded some and locked up before she escorted him to her room "I'm sorry if I'm being a bother, you really didn't have to do this." She said softly moving to lay with him in her bed

He chuckled and shook his head. “If you were bothering me I wouldn’t have come down here.... but I don’t know about you.... only... for me, seeing you yesterday... it’s like those years apart never happened.” He mumbled pulling her in to him for warmth some and closing his eyes.

lily smiled and held onto him tightly until she got bored of that show and got up going over and changing the channel without asking to what she wanted then went to sit back down again ignoring her brother starting to cry and get really upset. ‘Daddy she change my show!’ He yelled sobbing big crocodile tears to him but lily wouldn’t give the controls up.

Max smiled softly and nodded some as she cuddled into him feeling safe in his arms "I felt the same way." He whispered before she drifted to sleep. She woke up in the morning with Richard's arms srill around her and smiled happily turning over to look at him while he slept.

Pedro frowned as Lily changed the show and took the remote from her "Lily you need to share, Javi's show will be over soon and then its your turn to pick." He signed before he changed the chanel back "Javi calm down look your show is back on." He said kissing the top of his son's head "Once this is over it Lily's turn though okay?" He explained to him while he also signed it.

Lily crossed her arms and glared at her little brother clearly not in the mood for sharing as she went over to him and pushed him over once her dads back was turned for a minute and pulled his colouring book off of him taking it to the table because she wanted it, starting javi off crying again but this time cause he’d hit his head on the coffee table and by the time carmen got home both the kids were still throwing tantrums and lily was still pushing and hitting her little brother. “Oh my goodness, what on earth is going on in here?” She frowned setting her bag down on the side looking at Pedro confused.

Richard snored quietly and mumbled in his sleep a little until he too woke up and looked around, a little confused for a moment before remembering the decision he had made the previous night, looking over at max and smiling a little. “Morning.” he mumbled smiling again and sat up, needing to go take a leak “where’s your bathroom?”

Pedro looked at her with pleading eyes as he held a crying Javi shaking his head some "She won't stop throwing tantrums! I've put her in time out and a small spanking but she won't listen! She turned Javi's show when it was still on and I told her she had to wait her turn and it all went downhill from there. She won't stop hitting him or pushing him over!" he explained bouncing Javi and handing him over once he reached for Carmen

Max smiled happily sitting up some "Morning, its straight ahead." she said softly feeling butterflies errupt in her stomach as she heard the sleepiness in his voice. It was quite attractive to her to hear his voice in general, but his gruff tone from sleeping was by far just as attractive.

Carmen frowned and took her little boy into her arms, cuddling him close and taking him upstairs so she could get changed but also comfort him. “Oh sweetheart I got you you’re fine, you wanna help mommy pick out some pjs?” She asked him smiling some and kissed his head.
Lily glared at her dad with her arms crossed and just kicked at the wall a couple times.

Richard nodded and got up going to sort himself out before walking back out of there a little more awake and smiled. “You wanna go for that coffee?” He asked her quietly and yawned stretching out some, his shirt lifting up enough for her to see his abs flex some.

Javi nodded some and sucked his thumb watching her "Spidey Man mommy." she said quietly giving a small smile as she got them out "Yay!!" he said happily helping her get himself dressed "Mommy, we have chicken nuggies for dinner?" he asked

Pedro frowned some and sighed heavily leaving her alone to get through it herself. He was done yelling at her.

Max smiled softly and bit her lip hard eyeing him up and down "Yeah..um..coffee sounds great." she stuttered as she watched his body licking her lips some "Just let me go get ready."
