BIOGRAPHYEarly Life
Wesley James Yates was born with expectations already on him. His father is a business mogul by the name of Theodore Yates and his mother is former Spanish fashion model Maria Sanz-Yates. It was immediately believed that Wes would be the successor of his father’s business.

Wes spent the majority of his childhood with his mother, he rarely saw his father due to his business obligations. Wes didn’t mind not seeing his father, he was always hard on Wes. He loved spending time with his mother though, Maria was loving, and she encouraged him to explore and do things he loved. During this time, he found his love for sports, he loved being a part of a team and the thrill of competition. He started to spend more of his free time outside of school participating in different sports and competitions.

It was a complete surprise to him when at twelve his mother told him that she and his father were getting a divorce. He was upset by the announcement of course, but it really hurt him when his mother told him that he would be staying with his father while she returned home to Spain. Maria knew that Theodore would not let Wes leave with her, and that because of his money and influence she would not win a custody battle, but Wes didn’t know nor understand this.

Not long after the divorce was final, and Wes was close to starting high school, his father started to take more of an interest in him. Theodore pushed Wes to do better in school, and he told Wes to quit playing sports. Wes was not going to let that happen, he convinced his father to allow him to continue playing his favorite sport, football, because it would look good on his college applications. Wes never wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps and take over his business, he saw how it had taken over his father’s life and he didn’t want that for himself.
After High School
Wes, much to his father’s dismay, decided against going to the ivy league college his father pulled strings to get him into. He instead decided to take a full ride football scholarship at a state school, so he could focus on a professional football career. His father was furious and told him if he didn’t do what he wanted Wes would have to move out of his house, Wes was more than happy to. With only a couple months until he would start school, Wes packed up and went to Spain to spend the summer with his mother.

One day while in Spain, Wes was playing a game of soccer with some of the kids that lived near his mother’s, when he blew out his knee. In a moment his college and professional football career were taken from him. With no other options for college, Wes called his father. Theodore agreed to pay for Wes to go to school, but only if he did exactly as his father asked, and went into business. Wes did what his father wanted and returned home after the summer to attend the college of his father’s choice as a business major. After graduating from college and business school, Theodore got Wes a job working in his company.

Wes hates the life he has been living, so when he saw the invitation to his high school reunion, he thought that seeing his old friends might be just what he needs to start enjoying life, like the old times...

Olivia Doyle
Full name: Olivia Doyle
Nicknames: Liv, Livvy

Virtues: brave; honest; loyal

TW: Suicide/death

Olivia was born second to a middle class family in a small town in Oklahoma, second to her brother Tyler. He was a few years older than Liv, but he played the mean yet protective role well. He could be worse than anyone when it came to teasing her and whatnot, but if anyone else tried to mess with her, they had to deal with him. Their mother had always been a free spirit, even after having children, so they didn't have many boundaries despite the fact that their father wanted to be strict. He was head over heels for their mother, and always succumbed to what she said. For the most part, Liv and Tyler were good kids and didn't get into much trouble.

That changed when Tyler hit middle school. Like some kids do, he got in with the wrong crowd, and started distancing himself from the family. Liv included. It broke her heart when her big brother would leave at night, and not return until well after she was in bed. Their father, as time went on, tried to implement rules but it was too late. After being his friend for so long, their parental skills were lacking. Time went on, and things with Tyler just got worse and worse. Liv was in the eighth grade-- Tyler having dropped out of school already-- when it happened. The police called it a suicide, but Liv refused to believe that her brother would take his own life. Not that it mattered what she said.

Her parents tried. They tried to make things work after Tyler's death, but the fighting never stopped. Liv was ridiculed throughout the rest of her middle school life, and high school freshman year was not any better. Liv's mother decided to leave her father, picking up and moving far away from him and the ghost of her son. Liv became the new girl at school, in a bigger city than she's used to. At first, things were rough, but she fell into a good group of friends and things actually turned out alright for her.

After high school, she tried to help keep the group together. These people were her best friends and she didn't want to lose them. But life goes on and so do people, and everyone fell out of touch. Eventually, Liv did, too. She went off and went to college, where she met Brandon. He was everything she could want-- handsome, sweet, caring, funny. They hit it off instantly, and he graduated a year ahead of her. They lost touch for a few years, but reconnected after running into each other one day. Things moved pretty quickly, and they moved in together. He proposed. Things were going great-- until she walked in on him about a month or so ago, hooking up with their mutual friend. She promptly threw his ring at him and left.

La'Historia

Eerica was born in a huge city and was a single child. They were far from rich, and the family was always struggling financially. however, they hid their worry from their daughter as best as they could, and they made her understand education was the key to a better life. She was a perfect student, and she was always complimented about being the brightest in her classes.

This continued until high-school, and India started realizing she was missing out on social events, like dances and parties. She hadn't even had a boyfriend since she was so focused on studies. Eerica suddenly felt robbed of her childhood.

She dropped her Nerdy Girl persona and started slacking off a bit. She started wearing makeup, joined the dance team, and she attracted the eye of a long time crush. Her parents accepted that this would happen one day and they tolerated it until she started to get reckless in her junior year of highschool. She started doing drugs and staying out late or not even returning home until the next day smelling of weed and alcohol. It became clear she lost something else besides her mind as well, and her parents were concerned.

She started selling drugs for extra cash, simply telling herself it was alright to do because it was supporting her family.

However, her mother got breast cancer, and she wasn't lucky. Her death caused India to realize a few things. She mourned her mother, and she decided she wanted to make her mother proud. She started getting on track with her schoolwork, and she got in shape for dance and was the best dancer on the team as well as joining the Women's ensemble where she found her true calling; Singing, where she also got her nickname 'Angel' but that doesn't mean she still won't beat You up if you look at her wrong and her mouth is reckless so stay on her good side.

Life after school had its ups and down - Angel pursued her career of singing by trying out for The Voice where she ended up winning the competition..ever since sh'e been working hard on craft..but then the career came to a hiatus early in her career when she found out she was pregnant by now her ex-boyfriend, who of course didn't want a kid. Angel, along with carrying the burden of keeping her music career on track, now had the responsibility of caring for her now six year old baby girl Alondra.

She hopes in this reunion with her closest classmates she gets a breath of fresh air and some time to stabilize and finally have fun without the demands of the outside world.

Background

Christopher had never been a very stable person. Even in his youth - before school - his parents and caretakers would note his delicate mindfulness, and quickly came to learn when they were allowed to take away the objects of his attention - lest they become the subject of what had become legendary crying fits. When not laying down for hours staring at the same image of a cartoonish frog, he would sleep for much longer than his peers - never seeming to come into the pattern of sleeping at night and being wakeful during the day. By his second birthday, they found that his right eye was short-sighted and had only about 60% vision, while the left was far-sighted and slightly askew. Further testing suggested that there might be some level of autism - as he seemed to be at times developed far beyond those around him, yet in some ways remained quite underdeveloped. His parents - two rather brilliant people in their own right - noted this, before throwing money at the problem - believing they had done their part. He was fitted for prescription glasses - and inserted into a pre-school for children with non-standard learning and developmental patterns.

He spent the first few years of his life among children much worse off than he was, while also being considered 'unusual' to some of the more developed students. The school realised his need for constant information - which needed to be both relevant to his current context, but also interesting enough to separate it from what he had learned before - and before he was old enough to go to high school he had managed to learn all the social graces needed to tame his intense mood swings and fragile focus. He entered high school, and managed to pass the tests without doing well - teachers often noting that he kept his scores just enough to pass the class, often not doing tasks during the semester, and only doing well in tests which averaged out his scores. During breaks he would sit alone in the school library, reading - and then rereading books until he could recite them from memory. In class he would often sit alone, rarely doing or handing in homework unless it would lead to an automatic failure of the class - often reading or writing down words, numbers and sentences which he had read or heard somewhere, and would not leave his mind.

Before long he started cataloguing the information - finding a sense of comfort in the order - and over the next few years he built up extensive notes on his teachers and classmates. What they like to eat or drink, what they wore, how they walked, how they spoke - and over time, he realised that some things meant links with others. -- If that boy with the bruises ate that much, and yet remained so thin - while in fact building muscle - all the while not being on the school sports teams, then he must be training privately. His ratty shoes were cheap, and his lunches made at home - often cheap as well. Six slices of white bread with some or other spread. A reliable, but cheap source of energy. So he was training alone, and most likely not at a gym. His parents must have bought him some gloves since he did not get pocket money. He did not get pocket money because he only ever spent money on drinks - only one at a time - with his friends late October, early November. Birthday money, which he celebrates on the 21st of the 10th month. It would explain the lack of callouses on his knuckles, and the increase of arm mass suggested boxing. His shoes were being run down much faster than before, but the lack of muscle definition in the legs meant he was not jogging. No, definitely boxing. The fact that his bruises had become less since then most likely means that he was being bullied. The jock with the broken nose confirmed it. --

Over time his room at home became a bit of a reservoir of abstract bits of knowledge. Deterioration rates of certain kinds of shoes, prices of pre-made lunches, charts suggesting average prices over branded labels, and how to spot fakes of said labels. The names of certain brands of lipstick - and how easily one brand might smudge, against how easily it could be washed out of a shirt collar. Before long tips on how to identify drug use joined these lists, along with documentation on how many girls had been pregnant within his year, how many had had abortions, who the fathers were, which of them had told their parents, which of them wanted to keep the children, which teachers were sleeping with which students, which students were cheating on their significant others, which ones knew and pretended not to. This obsession took up more and more time, as every day after school he needed to update and refine his data - often leaving him alone in his room for days on end.

His parents did not seem to notice much, which he supposed was a blessing in itself. Some people who did notice, however, was [insert friend group]. Most of them were a year or more younger than him, and he found most of them very interesting. His notes on them were rather incomplete, and since they tended to hang out together - get started to observe them, only to become one of them. While some of them were the loud jocks, and the diva's of the school - the class clowns, and the rebels - he was the quiet guy who seemed to listen to all of them when they wanted to fume, or cry and complain. He never seemed to forget their birthdays - always buying them exactly the gift they never realised they had mentioned once in passing conversation - and never seemed to forget anything they told him in confidence. Beyond that, he was very good at keeping secrets - quickly becoming a bit of a confidant. He never shared the fact that he had records on perhaps the entire school - but they seemed to take his OCD in stride, as well as his depressing talk when he started drinking heavily in is second to final year. He was a bit of an odd one out, but being with them, and being concerned with their happiness - kept his mind busy. It made him happy to have something productive to focus on.

The only reason he started drinking, and the only reason he seemed to become more and more depressed the closer he came to leaving school - was because he would be leaving them behind. As well as his schedule. The world outside seemed too big by far, and he feared that not only would it overwhelm him - but his attention would be so stretched, that he would no longer have time for them. The fear of disappointing them became so much - that he decided to start cutting ties with them. It was a subtle process - slowly speaking even less. Coming to meet-ups less frequently, replying to messages only every few days. He applied to a university in Britain, before spending his last year focussing on his work. It paid off - and he almost beat out the students who did nothing but study.

A few months later, he was on a plane - cut off from his friends and family, on a full scholarship to study Chemistry at Cambridge. He lasted barely two months before leaving the university, extending his visa to a work visa, got a job as a security temp, while studying as much as he could. Quickly his small one-room flat became a nest of information once more. Slowly he managed to establish himself as a P.I. - engraining himself in the wost of the world, dealing with thugs and a few beat ups, losing his right pinky to a crime lord, and avoiding a few murder attempts from millionaire husbands caught cheating on their trophy wives. Loneliness set in, and life became a monotony of study, four hours of paranoid sleep, rushing about ally ways and seedy bars at 2 a.m. Generally being a few fingers deep in a bottle of whiskey and a pack of cigarettes a day. When he got the letter he had not left his home for days - having been reading one book over and over, trying to count the number of full stops in the nearly three hundred-year-old text. He grabbed a bag, put some clothes in, grabbed his jacket and locked the doors. A few hours later he was on a flight out of London. On his way towards his friends, and on his way towards what felt very much like a mental breakdown.

[WIP - will refine over time - not yet proof read]
