Multiple Settings Long Term Partners Needed! [Multiple Original Plots, Multiple Pairings]

Hey there! My last thread was.... Kinda lacking, so I decided to start up a new one, this time with a few more pairings and a couple more plots.

  So! I'm Frag. I go mainly with she/her pronouns, if that's of any interest, but honestly I'll respond to just about anything that's not derogatory. I manage three different locations for work, and on the sparse amount of downtime I'm afforded I tend to either write (as is evident by my presence here) or play... Well, pretty much any video game my grubby little hands can reach. I'm a big fan of games like Witcher 3, Frostpunk, Stardew Valley, and Superhot, to name a few, although I have been playing Animal Crossing rather obsessively nowadays, too. I have a cat, six overstocked bookshelves, and crippling social anxiety. I live in the PST timezone, but honestly I'm up almost all hours, so that shouldn't be too big a concern.
  
  I've been roleplaying for about eight years now (which, wow, it has not felt that long), and tend towards larger, longer RP storylines. That means that whatever happens isn't going to happen quickly-- I certainly don't go day by painstaking day if nothing's happening, but I like playing the long game when it comes to huge plot twists and revealing crucial info (in game, that is). In writing, it's hard to find something I don't like, as long as it's not slice of life or fandom, and I absolutely love twisting genres to allow for a more creative storytelling experience. I love OOC chatting with my fellow writing partners, although I am fairly socially awkward and might not always have time to respond, especially come summer. Toss any story of your own my way and I'll probably latch onto it and run with you. I am fairly literate, usually averaging 3-8 paragraphs per response, and am comfortable playing MxM, MxF, and FxF, as well as any combination of non-binary x M/F/NB. I love building a comprehensive world as we go along in the RP, and enjoy coming up with and sharing little snippets of what troubles our characters might eventually get into.

  • No breaking RPN rules!
  • 18+, please. I'm old enough that RPing with a younger partner feels weird.
  • Please no one-liners, although shorter responses (1-2 paragraphs) are okay as long as the current scene warrants them.
  • Please be literate! Obviously mistakes will be made, but please ensure that any deliberately... interesting grammar rule-bending is appropriate to the scene/character.
  • Please dear god tell me if you're uncomfortable with anything I write. The 'Edit' button is there for a reason! If something makes you uncomfortable, I can and will change it however you need.
  • Make sure you're comfortable collaborating! It's no fun if one person is the only one hauling the plot along, and I am always hyped to hear any and every idea you have about how things could turn out for our characters.
  • No longer interested in the plot? You can ghost it. Just remember the door's always open if you want to come back!
  • Also, please be patient with replies. My response time is heavily based on what is needed from me at the moment, so while there are days when I can shoot off several replies in a single day there will also be times when I won't be able to respond for three to four days at a time. Feel free to check in, though! Sometimes I just space that I haven't responded yet.

  On to the fun stuff. I have... many original plots I'm dying to try out. Unless it looks like this I will still be accepting for the plot you're interested in! If the characters are in bold, that means they are my preferred role-- if neither are, that means I'm open to playing either! If the plot title is underlined, that means I have a craving for that plot.
  
  
  Spoiler: Medieval Fantasy

  A Simple Job: Muse A is an assassin. Not one of the best, but good enough that when their next target is a nobody from a small village who, as far as they can tell, never even left their hometown, they got suspicious and decide against their better judgement to investigate Muse B before they kill them. This turns out to be a terrible idea, although not for the reason Muse A expects.
  
  The Woods, Dark and Dangerous: Muse A is on a quest. They are one of many who have taken this particular quest, although they are the first in a while to truly attempt to reach the heart of the forest. It is said at the heart of this forest lies impossible treasure-- everything from piles of gold high as the trees to the rarest of magical herbs that could cure any ailment to the gods of nature themselves. Regardless of their reason, Muse A is determined to reach the heart, and neither the ever present danger nor the reasoning of Muse B, a local guide that A hired to take them as far as they could, would stop them.
  
  Understanding Is Half The Battle: Muse A is the heir to a kingdom under siege. Unfortunately, nobody can quite tell what they are under siege from-- only that they are attacked near weekly by things they cannot see and, thus, cannot defend against. There are rumors of mages to the east, who have fought such beasts before and won, and in desperation Muse A sets out as an emissary to these strange people to find a way to save their home. When they arrive, Muse A is met with Muse B, who is... not exactly what they expect.
  
  
  Spoiler: Modern Fantasy

  Not Your Chosen One: For as long as Muse A has known, they've had.... abilities that others did not. While this created some issues growing up, Muse A is now a well-adjusted adult with a job, their own apartment, and a well-honed reflex to ignore anything particularly magical they might see in their day to day life. Unfortunately, Muse A's abilities had one side effect they had long since grown tired of-- they were infrequently contacted by people from other worlds, claiming they were the Chosen One who could save their realm. Muse B is one such person, sent here to save their world from the peril it is surely in and decidedly not leaving until Muse A joins them. It is confoundedly more difficult, however, when Muse B realizes Muse A has absolutely no interest in throwing away the life they worked so hard to build for someone they hardly know, and is rather jaded about the whole idea of being a 'Chosen One' in the first place.
  
  Retirement Never Lasts: Muse A is a retired hitman-- they have been for the past five years, settling down on the outskirts of a desert town in the middle of nowhere after a particularly ludicrous job gave them enough money to never worry about anything else for the rest of their natural life. So far, they have been enjoying their retirement immensely, having become a staple figure in their community and settling nicely into a small town life. All that is quite nicely disrupted when Muse B, an underfed and injured teen with wild hair and even wilder stories of a monster in the sands and magic that had brought them halfway across the world, shows up at Muse A's doorstep. Soon enough they are reluctantly involved in a plot much bigger than any job they had ever handled, in way over their head and no choice but to push forwards, if only to protect Muse B. (Note: This one is a platonic-only plot.)
  
  
  Spoiler: Science Fiction

  Great Find, Terrible Luck: Muse A's done a lot of things in their life, not all of them-- or really, not many of them-- being things they were particularly proud of. Still, this is a new low for them; after a job gone terribly, terribly wrong, they're left with (hopefully) just enough fuel to get back to a colonized planet, very little in the way of food, and an abysmal amount of credits to their name. It certainly seems like a hopeless situation, and Muse A is just about ready to drop all pretense of pride and beg their way back into money when they hit port when their ship picks up something odd-- a distress signal, hardly more than a few thousand yards out of their route. Despite their better judgement and in hopes of finding more supplies, they divert and dock with the seemingly-dead ship. What they find instead is an android, a job offer, and the beginnings of a conspiracy that reaches far deeper than either party expected.
  
  I Will Not Ask And Neither Should You: Android ownership, these days, is a lot like owning a phone; they're useful, multi-purpose tools that people will look at you weird for not having, with the added bonus of being adaptable to the daily needs and wants of their owner. Regardless, Muse A has never really been interested in owning one, and even though their friends have teased them countless times about being left behind in the new technological age it's never swayed Muse A's opinion much. Unfortunately, their insistence comes to an end when their friends gift them Muse B-- an older model, second-hand android whose last owner passed away recently. Supposedly, the android's memory banks have been wiped, and as an older model they'd be perfect to help ease Muse A into the modern age, but it doesn't take long before Muse A begins to wonder if maybe things aren't all as they seem with Muse B.
  
  And It Was All Going So Well: Muse A has been in the bounty hunter business for far too long, and if it weren't for the exorbitant prices they'd consider retiring any day now. That problem, however, had a solution with a name attached; Muse B, an outlaw with a quite frankly ridiculous bounty on their head-- on the one stipulation that they are to be brought back alive, and mostly undamaged-- had been spotted in the same sector as Muse A, and as far as they were aware they were the only one close enough to catch Muse B in time. In a move that surprises A as much as B, A does actually manage to capture B, and they're almost back to civilization when a freak accident causes them to crash land on a planet that hasn't seen a colony in over a hundred years, due to the vicious wildlife, unpredictable storms, and generally hostile landscape. Muses A and B would likely have to work together to survive-- well, if B hadn't already run off, that is, somehow escaping in the chaos of the initial crash.
  
  
  Spoiler: Genre Mashups

  Okay, so a bit of explanation before I launch into this one. This is basically a grab-bag of ideas-- mostly the stuff I don't feel comfortable directly setting into one specific genre or the other. You can find things like magical sci-fi, time travel, and general confusion here. For these plots I'll have a breakdown of what types they'll fit into before the plot itself, for easy reading.
  
  The Laws That Divide Us: (This could technically be fantasy? I guess? But it could just as easily be sci-fi, so my indecisive ass is putting it here.) In modern day times, there are two types of people-- normal, everyday humans, who enjoy their day to day lives in relative peace and quiet, and those unfortunate enough to inherit certain supernatural abilities. The second type of people, lovingly referred to as mutants in everything but official government papers, endure a strange genetic mutation that varies from person to person and allows nearly everyone that has the mutation to have powers-- things like pyrokinesis, enhanced strength, and telekinesis are not uncommon to see among the mutants, and were it not for the systemic and brutally enforced laws that keeps them all in line there would have been utter chaos as the two groups mixed.
  ... Or so Muse A has been told, anyways. It's not like Muse A has ever seen a mutant-- kept away as they are from the rest of society, it's rare to see anyone with a shred of power beyond their designated section of the city, and Muse A is content to live their uneventful life to the fullest without ever having to worry about anything more than what groceries they'll need for next week. All that changes, however, when Muse B shows up at their doorstep late one night, bloodied and asking for help.

  Ah, the purest form of simplicity. Take a word (or several!) and create a world based on it. These are in no particular order, but if they are underlined that means they're favored. Now admittedly, some of these are more concepts than words, but whatever.
