The history of Locke
Locke does not know where he was born, but from the letter his mother left him in the woods he had enough information on his early years. In the note his mother said that a fox spirit had impregnated her and she gave birth to Locke. His mother had abandoned him because it threatened her chance to be married to a rich man. His original name was Arnath Gillian, but he never knew this. He had to grow up using his natural instincts like smell and hearing. Eventually he had run into some farm lands near the forest he had been living in since he was left there by his mother. He found the owner's home and began to "study" them and their children. These farmers basically became his teachers. Locke learned English and simple academic principals from them. He even learned about how to make and use a bow. After a few years he had mastered the art of archery. Eventually, when he could assume he was 17, he moved to another place in the woods. After a few years he became unusually interested in magic, more specifically, fire magic. Locke had found a village sitting on the outskirts of the forest with a library. Sneaking in at night, he would find books on fire magic and other magical practices and take them. He studied these for a couple years and was able to perform the basics like creating a small flame in his hand and other similar things. Before moving on he left the books he "checked out" at the front door of the library and left with one sentence, "Sorry for taking these without consent". After another year he settled down outside a village. He had a house built out in the forest and he hunted for the townspeople, becoming know throughout the town as a top supplier in meat. Locke of course hunted for himself and from time to time come into town with some hunt and go to the tavern and converse.
