please be 18+! i prefer to roleplay with people who are adults. i do prefer 20+, but that is a soft requirement..
please be friendly and respectful out of roleplay! i'm fine with characters having issues, but please be kind to everyone oorp. i want this to be fun and eventful for everyone!
regarding oc's, you can play whatever kind of character you want. i am also okay with people playing multiple characters, however, i want to keep it two per person at most. this is just so everyone gets the chance to make unique characters and so everyone isn't swarmed with multiple characters. also, regarding character models within virelia, you have creative freedom (i will give categories and more info about that too though!) when in the modern world, please try to use natural hair colors and eye colors! i am fine with characters having dyed hair though, but this is just a way to keep a division between their irl models and their game models!
lastly, i am not looking for huge replies! i do, however, want to aim for 300 words per person if that is reasonable? that way it's not too much, but enough for everyone to get inspiration! this can be talked about of course! one thing's for certain is that i kindly ask that you write in third person!

project: virelia is a popular RPG for the students at sosato highschool located in japan. project: virelia is a game that is commonly found on smart devices or PC. within this world, players are able to choose a weapon type and power class to help a girl named velia, the heart of this world, on her mission. years ago, virelia was split into shards by a cataclysmic event called the veilfracture -- a magical storm that tore reality into floating landmasses in a sea of mist and memories. with time fractured, and the gods going dormant in this world, velia is in charge of repairing the land and reawakening the gods. while this is the main point of the game, something. . . strange happened. for some reason, project: virelia is out of commission and players cannot log into said game. why? it was hacked by some unknown source within the world, and velia was unable to repair the world by herself. while locked away in some prison, all she could do was reboot the servers, and the players were excited to see the notification: 'GAME UPDATED! NEW EVENTS, LIVE!' eagerly, these players would log onto their accounts. . . just for velia to make a desperate reach out to them, and bring them within her withering world. but why? whats the goal? well, players are tasked too. . .
help collect the seven fragments in this world. collecting those will help free velia, and allow her to summon the gods to repair the game.
defeat monsters and answer velia's calls! no worries, she'll send you back when there's no pressing issue. . . so keep your notifications on!
and most importantly, help free velia! work together to form groups and tackle those higher-level bosses! but be careful. . . dying in this world comes with consequences in the real world.

the seven fragments, also known as the seven wounds of virelia,are mythic weapons of what broke the world during the veilfracture. each one carries a curse, a choice, and a truth. the seven wounds take the form of the following weapon types: a blade, a claymore, a spear, a bow, a face mask, an axe, and a book. detail about these items will come later but be careful with dealing with them! only certain weapon-class carriers with high enough power levels can wield these weapons. if you're underlevled, these wounds may consume you. . .

there are five weapon classes,sword-users (they use longblades. they attack closer.), claymore users (they use claymores. they attack slower, but hit harder), magic types (they use catalysts, scrolls, books and spells. they're the weakest, and do long range attacks), bow-users (they use bow and arrows. they use long range attacks, but require greater charge. this includes snipers as well), and meele-types (they fight close up, and a branch from magic users. they tend to use brute strength or knives.)

satsuo highschoolis set in japan. this is modern setting and there will be uniforms (which will be pinpointed later as well!) inside of virelia, it is open world with different areas to explore! there are a bunch of other players, animals, species, etc, within this world. slightly futuristic, but not over the top (i do like the idea of transportation being high-tech like trains in the air and stuff.)
