Name: Leo, Human Age: 26
Soft, yet moody classical music from a grand piano could be heard in the study. Leo it seemed, was in one of his moods. Which was nothing unusual. The man was a vampire after all. Something of which Leo despised with all his being. The man pressed his pale lips into a thin hard line, slowly closing his blood red eyes, body rocking to the sway of his music. But suddenly, the music stopped, and Leo slammed the lid of the piano closed, letting out a growl.

"Servant! Come!"

Leo barked, knowing how sensitive the Vulpine's hearing was. Barring his teeth, Leo stood and waited for the creature. And as the creature kept Leo waiting, the vampire paced back-and-froth. Becoming ever more irritated by the second.

Within the room, fine and strange dark arts littered the walls, surrounding the grand piano. Where was that servant of his?!?! Why did she insist on keeping her Master waiting?!?! Making a mental note to punish his servant, Leo continued to wait the Vulpine's arrival...

The Neko's ears were drooped. Long black, fur-tipped-tail tucked partically between her legs. Pursa remained down upon her knees, scrubbing the tiled and wooden floors by hand to get them clean. The Neko's huge-gray-eyes holding a frightened expression in them.

Her Master was a terrifying one. A Blood Mage. And the power of Pursa's Master always terrified the skittish Neko. And the man knew it. And wasn't afraid to use and show it either. Many scars of past punishments, and pale skin, proved that much. Pursa swallowed hard.

But finally, Pursa scrubbed the last tile clean before wiping it dry. Standing, the Neko cleaned up the bucket and water, putting the items away before going before the Blood Mage.

"Master?'

The Neko paused, biting at her lower lip, tail tucked all the way now.

"I...I have finished cleaning the floors for you...As...As you requested."

Pursa explained, biting at her lower lip, looking down at her hands, in which she fiddled her fingers together nervously.

It had been about a month since Keirra had made the mistake that cost both her and Pursa their freedom, it had been a month since she had so foolishly walked the two wildlings into a trap - one that had been elegantly set by two of the upper creatures. A blood mage and a vampire. Neither were good options to deal with though Keirra had still tried - she had went after the vampire first, fighting him until he'd clamped down onto her shoulder, holding the small vulpine against him until she'd went unconscious. It must've been the taste of her blood, because for whatever reason, he had kept her. And Pursa, her beloved friend had been whisked away by the blood mage.

The vulpine was pulled out of her deep thoughts by the sound of her Master's voice calling out for her. The blonde growled under her breath, her blue eyes focusing on the location where it had come from. He was probably in his study. She refused to call him Master, he hadn't earned the title just by taking her freedom from her. In fact, she was trying to think of a way to escape though the vampire seemed to have out-witted every single one of her attempts. Not to mention, she also had to find Pursa and rescue her as well. She got her into this mess, there was no way the neko would leave her friend behind. Her blue eyes turned back to the window that she was staring at, the vulpine considering the chances that she get out of that window and across the yard before Leo noticed that she was gone. It wasn't very likely, his senses were even more enhanced than hers. He'd hear her feet the second they touched the ground.

Though, her refusal to just waltz into the room where he was waiting caused him to yell louder and the vulpine pulled her lips back in a snarl. Slowly she hopped off of the counter where she had previously been waiting, taking her time as she walked to the room where Leo was waiting. It was clear that he was already angry and she knew that there was no getting out of it. She knew all she could do was make things worse, but that didn't stop her behavior. "Yes, Leech?" Keirra questioned, tilting her head to the side and looking up at him with those icy blue eyes of hers. "Stop calling me Servant. I'm not your servant. I refuse to submit to a monster like you." It was a common saying - as when things did get out of control, she gave in every time. Any time he used force to show her who was boss, she normally spent the night curled up in a tiny ball and sulking because he had proven her wrong. She would eventually submit to him, she could only stay strong for so long. But for now, she still had that stubborn streak to her.

Big events were about the least favorite thing for Matthew, he was flipping through the RSVPs that he had received for his masquerade ball that he was to be hosting that night. They would have a full house tonight, which meant he wanted the place to be squeaky clean. To get this done, he had sent his slave to start cleaning his floors, being satisfied that he had grabbed the more skittish of the two creatures from last month's catch. His friend, Leo, had been attacked by the vulpine and he admired her bravery, but Matthew didn't have time to deal with such affairs. His slave hadn't been hard to break, and as the skittish creature came to his study to tell him she was done with her task, he slowly rose from his chair so he could examine her work.

"Come, Pursa." Matthew ordered, pausing to observe the neko that stood before him nervously. He had long ago adorned the creature with his markings, using her own blood to seal a bond between the two. He had fabricated a collar from her blood and he narrowed his eyes at the pattern that was wrapped around her neck, wrists, and ankles. It was a series of floral designs and this made it so that she couldn't go anywhere that he didn't allow her to. It also allowed him to control her body if he so desired. He had done it to bathe her, just to show her what he was capable of and since then his preferred punishment was to cut the girl. Physical pain seemed to work to keep her in line.

He walked to the kitchen where she had been scrubbing the floors, his eyes narrowing at the wooden floorboards before he looked to the neko. "You did good this time, Pursa. However, I would like you to dust the waiting lounge. After that, I would like you to scrub those floors as well. I want this entire place spotless. And if you bother me before you are finished with your work, you will be punished. Now go." Matthew ordered, flicking his wrist and watching as the markings on the neko lit up. Before she could do anything her body started walking her in the direction of the lounge as Matthew gave a sinister smile.

At the Vulpine's tone, the Vampire froze. Lightning flashed in the man's eyes. And before Kierra could even react, the Vulpine found herself struggling for air. Leo's hand wrapped tightly around Kierra's throat.

"Foolish creature! You forget how easy it is for me to kill you."

Leo's voice was deadly calm. Despite the fact of the storm darkening his eyes. Slowly, the Vampire lifted Kierra off the floor. So that the creature's small feet were dangling in the air by a solid foot.

But then, the Vulpine was flying. If only for a second. Before crashing into an old bookcase. Straightening, a tall shadow loomed over Kierra.

"Now. Get into the feeding position. Your Master is thirsty."

~~~
"Y-Yes Master."
The Neko muttered, sucking in a sharp breath as the markings upon Pursa's body lit up. Whimpering, Pursa scurried away, the glowing, red markings burning like fire.
Heading into the closet, Pursa fetched what she needed. And donning on the rubber gloves, the little Neko began the task of dusting and wiping down the surfaces...
And as Pursa cleaned, the Neko began to wonder of Kierra. Both creatures that had taken them were terrifying. And Pursa wasn't about blame Kierra. They had both put up a fight. But if anything, Pursa had been to weak.
Pressing her lips into a thin line of annoyance, Pursa flicked her tail in irritation. Only to suddenly hear a crash as a vase fell to the floor. Broken.
With as common as her punishments were, one would have thought that the neko would have learned her place by now. Unfortunately, she still had some of her fire left to her and so she hadn't quite learned that her life was over. It belonged to this vampire but she still did everything she could to defy him. Her blue eyes widened and filled with tears as he gripped her by the throat, reminding her of how easy it would be to end her life. Her hands closed around his in an attempt to get him to stop but it was too late to go back now, the damage had been done. There was no turning back now.
A whimper sounded from her as he lifted her from the ground, the vulpine looking at Leo desperately. She was silently begging him not to harm her but her wishes were ignored as she was thrown into one of his bookshelves. A sharp cry of pain sounded from her as her back slammed into the bookshelf, a hot pain searing through her body. The vulpine remained low to the ground, refusing to look up at Leo as she tried to get up. Oh, how it hurt to move. She wanted nothing more than to remain on the floor and allow herself to heal but her Master had other plans for her.
"Y-yes, Master." Keirra spoke, her voice a mere whisper as she pulled herself up from the floor. She hesitantly approached him, wincing with every step she took towards him. It wasn't only the pain that had just been inflicted upon her, but the pain she was about to endure if he decided not to be gentle while feeding. Once she was directly in front of him she moved her golden hair aside and bared her neck for him, the feeding position that he had taught her.
-x-x-x-x-x
A look of pure amusement crossed Matthew's features as he watched his slave be carried away without her will, she seemed to be in pain and he rose a brow. "It only hurts if you try to stop it, Pet." He reminded her with a smirk, though he also liked to have some influence on the pain as well. This time it had been her hesitation that had caused her pain, as she hadn't started walking right when she was supposed to. Now that he was alone again he began to write up a list of the tasks that his kitchen workers were to carry out. Tonight was to run smoothly, there were to be no mistakes.
Hearing a crash come from the lounge, the blood mage rose to his feet and strode out to see what had happened. His blue eyes focused on Pursa and then on the broken vase. "I bring you into my home. I feed you. I allow you to bathe. Hell, you have a bed to sleep in. And you destroy my belongings?" He questioned, looking at the neko angrily. She had just broken half of one of his expensive vase sets and there was no repairing it or replacing it before the nights events. He had been planning to showcase this one. "I almost thought of letting you see the vulpine girl, Leo's bringing her tonight. But thanks to your stupidity, you have just lost the right to visit with your beloved friend. I'll send your regards to her." Matthew growled, a snap of his fingers causing the markings that adorned the neko's neck, wrists, and ankles to turn a bright red. This time he was aiming to hurt her and so he made sure that she felt this one, each of the marks burning the neko fiercely.
"Finish up here and go to your room. You're done for the day. No dinner." Matthew snapped, relieving the pressure on the neko's markings as soon as she started looking as if she'd pass out from the pain. He didn't give her a chance to say anything, promptly turning on his heel and going to the kitchen to deliver the orders.
With distaste clear in the Vampire's blood-red-eyes, the creature watched in angered silence as the Vulpine got into the feeding position.
"Well. At least you've learned something right."
Leo growled, barring his fangs in plain annoyance at the female. Narrowing his eyes, the Vampire took hold of the Vulpine's hair, gripping it tightly. Yanking back Kierra's head, Leo didn't take a second thought, and bit his needle-sharp-fangs into the Vulpine's neck. And immediately began to drink the creature's blood.
After all, Leo wanted to be sated for the night, as tomorrow, they would be going to an old...Acquaintance's house to visit. Taking gulp after gulp, the Vampire consumed the Vulpine's blood till the little creature fell unconscious. As a punishment for the defiance. Not to mention a reminder how easy it was for Leo to take the little creature's life.
~~~

Biting at her lower lip, Pursa looked up with frightened gray eyes as the Blood Mage stormed into the guest room to see what the ruckus was all about. Swallowing hard, Pursa gasped as the Neko felt the marks glow their brightest red yet. Sending a searing, burning pain through Pursa's small, 4" tall body. The Neko curled up, letting out an occasional whimper. The marks feeling like the hottest fire one could burn.

"Forgive me Master...Please..."

Pursa begged, tears threatening to fall as the Neko squirmed. Unable to take the searing pain. Panting, Pursa had curled up in the fatal positon, air cut off from her neck from the pain of the markings. But finally, just as the pain began, it stopped. Leaving Pursa panting and sweating with shaking hands.

"Y-Yes...Master..."

She managed, swallowing hard, tasting a bit of blood as the Neko somehow managed to uncurl herself, a bitter taste of blood on her tongue.

A gasp of pain was heard from Keirra as she was roughly grabbed by her hair, her blue eyes filling with tears. He had no intentions of being gentle with her and she resisted the urge to pull away from him, knowing it would only make things worse. "P-please, Master. It hurts." The neko begged, doing her best to stop the pain. Maybe if she begged enough he'd be more gentle. Her body was still hurting from hitting the book-shelf and now this. Her head was yanked back and she whimpered in reply. The vulpine went silent as his fangs pierced her neck. Again, he was aiming to make everything hurt - it seemed.

With each passing moment of her losing blood, the vulpine slowly began to lose her balance and began to slump against her Master. Her bright blue eyes slowly started going dull as her life essence was drained from her. Her vision was going dark and she was starting to feel cold. Was he going to keep his word and kill her this time? That was her last thought before she went unconscious, falling against the vampire who held her against him during his feeding. Before when he first got her, she wasn't able to handle offering herself to him very much - she had been terribly malnourished. But now, she was able to stand a little longer, depending on how often he wished to feed from her.

About an hour later, she woke up in the kitchen to a wet rag being wiped over her neck. Immediately Keirra whimpered and swatted the rag away, wincing. She'd definitely have a bruise, or rather a few bruises. Her eyes slowly focused on whoever was taking care of her - a Naga by the name of Jasmine. "Oh, poor girl. You really must've pissed Master off." The Naga chided sympathetically, shaking her head. "However, orders are orders. You're to make dessert to take to the gathering tonight." She was told, Keirra only giving a nod in reply. If she failed to complete this task, she was sure Leo would kill her.

Grabbing the recipe from Jasmine, Keirra looked at the woman thankfully before she slithered away to go back to her own tasks. This was probably the worst part of being the vampires new and favorite toy; the only interact she got from the other slaves was to tend to her after Leo's punishments went too far. And then she was left alone. She winced as she moved herself off of the marble floors of the kitchen, whimpering as the movement alone hurt. Her eyes settled on a glass of water and a few slices of cheese and a green apple, all sitting on a serving platter. Jasmine had taken note of her diminished blood supply. This was one of the few occasions that the vulpine was allowed to eat without Master's permission - and that was only to regain her strength so she didn't die.

Slowly, the woman approached her plate of food, taking a long swig of the water and coughing as it burned her throat. Next she ate the cheese, savoring the flavor before she bit into the apple. Juicy. She let out a happy sound, enjoying the apple before she set to work. Master wanted her to make an apple pie and a cherry pie. It took her a few hours and as she finished, she packed both pies into boxes and slowly approached Leo, her head down. "T-the dessert is finished, Master." Keirra spoke softly, refusing to look up at him. And now was the sulking stage, she hated that she had finally submitted to him and after so many times of being patched up by the others, she knew she had to eventually learn to behave and follow the vampire's rules. Lest he eventually kill her.

-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x

It was the neko's small voice begging for forgiveness that caused Matthew to stop, the male replaying the sound with a smirk. It really hadn't been all that hard to train little Pursa, all he'd had to do was burn her here, cut her there. And she had learned her place. Unfortunately, it sounded like Leo's pet hadn't quite learned her place and that he was struggling with the Vulpine. In the beginning he had deemed the Vulpine to be too brave for her own good, the way she had launched herself at Leo. If he remembered correctly, the blonde had gotten one hit in on Leo before the vampire had easily taken her down. The neko had tried to fight but hadn't stood much of a chance. All he'd had to do was cut her and get her blood from his blades and it was all downhill from there.

In the kitchen, his other slaves, two other Nekos by the name of Cian and Rosa were standing around the night's dinner looking horrified. "Why isn't this finished?" Matthew growled from behind them. His eyes checked his watch for the time before he focused his attention on the two creatures. "You've had hours to complete this!" Matthew yelled, his blue eyes narrowing at them in pure anger. Both nekos stammered out excuses and apologies and the blood mage just shook his head. He'd had enough of this today. With two clenched fists, he stopped the circulation of their blood, causing their hearts to stop. "I don't have time for this." He snarled, watching their lifeless bodies drop to his floor. His eyes flickered to the basement where he kept his simple-minded Golem. "Braga!" He yelled, listening for the sounds of the Golem's approach. Finally the earthen creature appeared before him and he gestured to the two bodies. "Dispose of these." Matthew huffed, watching Braga as he picked up the two bodies and drug them down to the basement.

"Pursa!!" Even if the neko had managed to make it to her room in such little time, he knew that she would hear his call. While he had full intentions to make her stay in her room, he didn't have a choice but to have her work and finish tonight's meal. Once his little pet arrived he looked between her and the unfinished food. Everything had been prepared, it just had yet to be cooked. "Finish dinner." Matthew ordered, narrowing his eyes at her. "And if you do good, I'll think about letting you see the Vulpine." It wasn't often that he gave second chances, in fact, he very seldom ever did. But he'd just disposed of two slaves and he knew the Golem wasn't capable of handling such affairs.

The entire point was for it to hurt. With blood stained lips and fangs, Leo roughly removed his fangs from within the Vulpine's neck. In no mood to further deal with Kierra, Leo stormed off into the master bathroom, turning on ice cold water in the sink before washing up...

~*~
[The Gathering]

Finally. It was time for the gathering. Everything had been set. The broken vase had been swept up. Pursa had been made very aware of the fact that her fellow Neko's had been murdered. It angered and upset the remaining Neko. But there was nothing Pursa could do of it. Except mourn.

Arriving, Leo tugged the leash roughly upon the Vulpine's neck.

"Misbehave even once, and I will not hesitate to kill you right then and there."

Leo stated, voice low and calm as the Vampire lead the tiny Vulpine up to the front door, leash in hand. Reaching the door, Leo rang the bell, hearing it echo throughout Matthew's home. Straightening, the Vampire glanced down at Kierra, satisfied she had finally learned her lesson after today.

Hearing the door bell, Pursa didn't have to ask who was behind the front door. It was Kierra, and the Vampire who had taken her away from her. Tail twitching in annoyance, Pursa watched in silence as Matthew went and opened the door. Allowing Leo and Kierra to enter.

As soon as she had finished making the pies and had presented them to Leo, she found her eyes lingering on a collar that he held in his hand. No. Every part of her wanted to strike that damned thing out of his hand but she knew better than to make such a foolish move now. The vulpine's eyes flickered between Leo and the collar, a look of anger briefly appearing in the means of a glare before she lowered her gaze. That meant she was going with him and finally she set the boxed pies on a stand before approaching him and baring her neck again. This time the gesture wasn't so he could feed from her, but so he could put her collar on and walk her like the wildling she was.

She grit her teeth as he slid the collar around her neck and secured it, the object feeling as if he'd put it too tight. And after today's events, she was sure he had put it on her tighter than it needed to be. Her hands twitched as she fought the urge to raise her hands to the collar and to rip the object off of herself, knowing full well she'd be severely punished if she dare try such a thing. As he brought the leash and connected it to her collar she remained silent, her blue eyes refusing to even look at him. This was among the biggest insults to her kind - being collared.

When they arrived at the gathering she struggled to keep up with her Master, wincing as he tugged on the leash harshly. Keirra glared at the length of the rope between them, noticing just how slack it was until he pulled it again. He apparently had made a game of this and she was just about to give a little tug back when he gave her a warning that caused her to stop dead in her tracks. He had lost his patience, if she dared do anything tonight she would be killed. On one hand, she knew it would set her free but on the other? She still wanted to find Pursa and rescue her. "Yes, Master." Again, her voice was a mere whisper and she lowered her head as he rang the doorbell, the vulpine feeling defeated.

She was aware that he was watching her and she tightened her grip on the boxed pies, making sure that she had something to focus on other than the collar and leash that her Master was using to lead her around. A familiar scent caught her attention and Keirra's head snapped up, her eyes focusing on Pursa. She wanted nothing more than to hug the Neko but she was sure her Master wouldn't allow such a heart-felt reunion. A ghost of a smile was directed towards the Neko before she looked down at the ground again, following Leo inside.

-x-x-x-x-x-x-x

Everything was falling into place and Matthew was pleased to see that Pursa had completed the dinner, the blood mage smiling as he looked over the Neko. "Go and check each room. Make sure they are spotless. And then in the dining room, make sure all tables are set. Go on, now." He ordered, waving the Neko off as he went to tell his remaining slaves to prepare the decorations. Guests would be arriving any minute now and he wanted this place to be spotless, nothing was to go wrong. It would have gone faster if not for the fact that he'd had to put down two of his pets, now he had two less servants to help during the gathering.

The doorbell rang and Matthew paused as he heard the door slide open. He walked around the corner to see Pursa greeting Leo and his pet, his eyes focusing briefly on his Neko and then on the Vulpine. He wasn't fond of the two being together but Pursa had been good, she had corrected her mistakes. "Greetings, Leo." Matthew spoke, welcoming the vampire into his home with a large smile. "Pursa, your collar?" He questioned, turning his attention to the Neko and gesturing for her to fetch her collar. "I trust your slave will be well behaved tonight, Leo?" Even if he didn't know the day's events between Leo and Keirra he could see a sense of defeat from the Vulpine. Had she finally given in?

Maxelle // Fire Mage // Mistress to Lyric

mariposas_by_elenadudina-d2j0l9l.jpg

Lyric // Fairy // Slave to Maxelle

Behind Keirra and Leo, another carriage pulled up and a woman stepped out, pulling the leash of a small winged creature. She approached the open door with a smile, greeting both Matthew and Leo with a kind smile. "C'mon, Lyric." Maxelle coached, gently tugging the leash of her companion. The winged creature obeyed her Mistress immediately, staying just slightly behind Maxelle as she knew not to walk beside her as her equal. She patiently waited for an invitation from the host of the party, her eyes flickering briefly to Lyric.

"She knows the consiquences of disobidience."

The Vampire replied. Looking down at Kierra with serious, blood-red-eyes before entering into the man's home.

"Thank you for being a most gracious host for me and my servant."

As Leo said this, he unhooked the leash and hung it on the coat rack. This was Leo giving the Vulpine a second chance. Letting out a long, deep breath, Leo slowly combed a pale hand through his long, black hair. It seemed that Kierra had finally learned the lesson of disobedience.

Moving into the guest room, Leo's eyes slowly landed upon Pursa, who swallowed hard. The Neko instantly recognizing the vampire. But quickly, Pursa looked away, not wanting to be caught starring and punished for it. Leo took a seat upon the plush sofa, slowly leaning back against it, stapling his fingers in front of his face. Eyes unreadable.

Seeing Kierra alive, the Neko wanted to run to the Vulpine and embrace her long lost friend. But it took everything Pursa had not to do so. Not wishing to be punished further. Instead, Pursa bit at her lower lip, starring down at her hands. Tail tucked between her legs, ears drooped.

"Servant. You may go and visit with your friend. But disobey me again today..."

Leo told the Vulpine, neatly crossing one leg over the other.

Stay there, don't do this. Don't come running to me. While Keirra was extremely happy to see Pursa alive and well, she knew that if her or the neko made a single move towards each other without permission, they would be punished. Keirra had every intention on behaving tonight but she knew that if she saw anyone lay a hand on Pursa that she would tear into them. She had been trying to protect Pursa the night that she had been captured. Plus, her Master had given her very good incentive to behave tonight. She wasn't about to screw up and be killed.

As Leo's hand rose to her collar the Vulpine immediately flinched, fearing that he would be tightening it even more or even worse, striking her. But as he unhooked the leash she understood, he was allowing her to roam free - he was allowing her to visit with Pursa. "Thank you, Master." Keirra spoke, waiting about a minute before slowly approaching Pursa. She stopped before she reached the Neko, waiting for Pursa's Master to give her the same freedom that she had received. Upon hearing Matthew tell Pursa to have fun as if this were some play date, the Vulpine closed the little amount of space between the two and pulled her friend close.

"Oh, Pursa." Keirra breathed, holding the Neko against her in a tight embrace. Oh, how she had missed her! Her fluffy tail was wagging wildly now, her ears perked with the sudden bit of excitement.

-x-x-x-x-x-x-x

"I'm glad she's learned her place." Matthew replied politely, his eyes landing on Keirra again before he moved aside to let his other guests in. Maxelle and Lyric. He smiled at the woman and her servant before leading everyone into the guest lounge. "Thank you all for taking the time to come tonight." Matthew spoke, his loud voice echoing throughout the open room. "Pursa, before you run off with your friend, I'd like you to bring refreshments. I do trust that your friend will help you?" Matthew looked between the two and then to Leo, wondering if he'd be able to borrow the Vulpine to help cater tonight's events.

He seated himself in a plush leather recliner and waved for Pursa to lead the way from the lounge and into the kitchen, fully expecting her to follow the orders. The Vulpine had immediately hugged her friend though he knew Pursa would give him no trouble and would listen to him. If she didn't, she would be punished severely. Tonight was not the night to embarrass him by acting out. "As you both know, our traps are catching many Wildlings now. From our latest haul, we caught a whole nest of Wildlings. I move that we start making more extravagant traps. They're paying for themselves with the loads they're bringing in." This was not only a party of sorts to celebrate how well they had done but a business meeting as well.

-x-x-x-x-x-

Upon being invited into the house, Maxelle smiled graciously and lead Lyric into her friend's home. She was glad to be invited to such an event. Once they were inside she gestured for Lyric to shut the door behind them before unclasping her pet's leash and hanging it next to Keirra's leash. "Lyric, go and help gather refreshments." Maxelle ordered softly, waving for the fairy to follow the Vulpine and the Neko. "Yes, Mistress." Lyric piped up, flittering over to where the two other females stood as her Mistress took a seat. It was obviously a heart-felt reunion between the other two but Lyric didn't want to keep her Mistress or the men waiting. "We should tend to our Masters, girls." Lyric reminded them softly.

"She's so obedient." Matthew murmured in awe, surprised to see the Fairy taking charge of the group of females. That would definitely ensure they behaved tonight. "I've had my Lyric for five years now, she is very well trained." Maxelle gushed, smiling excitedly. She had put a lot of work into the Fairy and she was glad it was showing.

The Neko's own tail was wagging now. And Pursa practically threw herself into Kierra's arms. But their brace of strong and forever friendship was quickly seperated. Pursa bit at her lower lip, but scurried off with Kierra and the Fairy.

And as they gathered in the kitchen, the clinking of glasses could be heard as they were set upon a golden tray. Next, Pursa fetched the drink, making sure to be extra careful. After all, she had already broken something precious to the Blood Mage...Setting down the bottle, Pursa corked it back up and picked up the tray before carrying it out to the trio. Carefully, Pursa set the tray on the coffee table before them before scurrying off to Kierra.

It was then that Pursa noticed the heavy bruising around Kierra's neck.

"You're hurt..."

She whispered, gently touching the front of Kierra's neck. But before Pursa could say or do anything more, the three servants heard Pursa's master. They...They wanted...More...?!?! And they wanted to go bigger?!?! Pursa bit at her lower lip, ears drooping. It was clear they intended on selling Wildlings like them now.

The Vampire watched silently as Matthew's servant took care of the drinks. And once the Neko left, Leo accepted his crystal glass.

"Hm. Rags for riches?"

The Vampire questioned. Carrfully swirling around the liquid in the glass before taking a careful sip.

In the kitchen, Keirra couldn't help but cast a glare at the Fairy who looked at her with a look of disgust. It was clear that this creature seemed to believe she was of higher standards than the two creatures in front of her. Luckily for the Fairy, Keirra intended on behaving so that she could spend time with the Neko and so that her life wouldn't be taken. She helped Pursa prepare the refreshments for their Masters, cutting cheese and neatly arranging it on a platter for them while Pursa prepared the drinks. As Pursa brought her tray out to the trio of monsters, Keirra followed her closely and set her own platter down before them. She looked briefly at Leo before returning to the kitchen with Pursa.

As they got into the kitchen, she found that Pursa had noticed her wounds and she could only whimper as the other female reached out to touch her tender bruises. "I'm okay." She spoke softly, not wanting to seem weak. Her neck was sore though and her collar not only felt as if it was suffocating her, but it was irritating her bruise as well. "M-Master was thirsty. And he was in a foul mood." Obviously he hadn't been gentle with her, but she had no choice in the matter but to let him have his way and hope that it soothed him while he was in his mood. "What about you, are you being treated well?" She asked softly, wanting to know that her friend was doing okay. She needed to know that everything was okay with Pursa, as she blamed herself for this entire ordeal.

However, a growl sounded from the Vulpine as a voice spoke up, her blue eyes settling on Lyric as the Fairy interrupted them. "You two Savages deserve every bit of punishment you get, you fools." Lyric snapped, rolling her eyes at them. Here they were, obsessing over the Vulpine's wounds - that she had obviously deserved. "Learn to satisfy your Master and maybe you won't come in looking like a blood whore." She sneered. This was enough to earn a snarl from Keirra, the Vulpine taking a step towards her with the full intention to attack. Luckily for her, Leo's threat rang out loud and clear in her mind and so she looked apologetically at Pursa before leaving the kitchen and making her way to her Master. She silently sat at his feet, her ears twitching with anger. Her reunion had been cut short only because she wished to avoid attacking the Fairy and being punished for embarrassing her Master.

"From rags to riches." Maxelle agreed, pausing before she decided to go ahead and tell them her brilliant plan. "I know it'll be a lot of work but - we can make bigger traps in the form of abandoned towns. I know its risky and there's a chance of it being seen while we're setting it up, but it'll draw more and more of them. It is more money and it might slow the process but I think it'll be better for us in the long run." Maxelle explained, looking to the two men for their opinions.

At the Fairy's sudden words, even Pursa looked over at the fellow servant. Gray eyes wide as could be. Well! Where in the world at that come from?!?!

For the first time since Kierra had known her, Pursa actually got angry. Part of it however, was because two of her fellow Neko's had just been murdered this morning. A low growl escaped from the Neko.

"You don't even know us! "

She knew she would be greatly punished for this, but right then, all books were off. Lightning flashed in Pursa's eyes, and with her long fingernails, the Neko took a swipe at the Fairy's face. Cutting into Lyric's eye and drawing blood. Fangs barred, and ears drooped low in a defensive position.

Instantly, Leo could smell the blood. Fairy's blood. The Vampire sighed. Having heard every bit of what was said. Leo knew it wasn't his servant who had acted out.

The Vampire frowned. Looking in the direction of the kitchen. And within secomds, Leo was standing before the three Wildlings. Starring sternly down at them.

"Seeing as I heard every word, Matthew's servant is correct."

Leo told the Fairy, letting out a long, deep breath.

The Neko starred down at her hands, knowing the Master would be getting out the Punishment Blade after this. But Pursa couldn't help it.

Keirra's every intention had been to go and leave the scene before she got herself into trouble but a growl from behind her had stopped her in her tracks. Damnit. Pursa was angry now and Keirra whirled around to stop things before they escalated, but by the time she had gotten back into the kitchen, the Fairy was sobbing hysterically and Pursa's hand was doused with the creature's blood. "Shit.." Keirra muttered, turning her attention to her Master as he appeared. Seeing that look on his face, she knew he wasn't happy. She had at least tried to behave, she had been walking out of the kitchen but she wasn't about to throw Pursa under the bus.

As Matthew rounded the corner with Maxelle in tow, Keirra moved to stand beside Pursa with a frown. Maxelle cried out in horror at the sight of her bleeding Fairy, walking up to the blonde and pulling her close. "Oh, Lyric. What have they done to you?" Maxelle gasped, stroking her fingers through the girl's hair soothingly. "Those beasts should be in a cage! Look what they did to my Lyric!" Maxelle snapped, looking to both Matthew and Leo in anger. Now it was Keirra's turn to get angry, though she was reminded that her Master was in the room and so she only let out a little growl.

She was surprised to hear her Master suggest that Pursa's actions were in the right, the Vulpine turning to look at Leo with wide eyes. However, Matthew was in the room now, looking between Pursa, Keirra, and Lyric.
"While Pursa may have been rightful in her actions, she still damaged another person's slave. Unfortunately I'll have to punish her, Leo." He spoke, pulling a blade from a holster on his hip. Pursa was already looking scared and she had every right to be. He had just flickered his hand to move the Neko to him, being ready to punish her in front of everyone. The markings on Pursa seemed to come to life as the young creature was forced towards him. He had just prepared to cut her when the Vulpine appeared in front of him.

"Don't hurt her. She was defending me. If you want to punish someone, punish me. She only acted out because of me, and I was just as tempted to do the same to the little bitch. Except, I would have gone for her throat." Keirra took a sideways glance at Leo, knowing full well that this little stunt was bound to get her in trouble. Matthew looked to Leo for a suggestion on what to do, wondering if he would be punishing both the Neko and the Vulpine or if Leo would take care of his pet. One thing was for sure, the reunion between the pets was over and Maxelle was to be dismissed from the gathering, as it had initially been her pet that had caused a fight. "Maxelle, I do apologize, darling, but this meeting is over. Send me the medical bill and I'll take care of it. But I do ask that you leave my property now." Matthew spoke evenly, gesturing for another servant to lead her out so that him and Leo could deal with their pets accordingly.

Much to his delight, Maxelle was eager to leave though she cast a dirty look towards both Keirra and Pursa.

"No. This night is done servant."

The Vampire sighed heavily. Placing an ice cold hand upon the back of Kierra's neck, Leo swiftly lead the Vulpine out of the house, snatching up the leash.

"Maxelle. Wait a moment please."

Leo called out to the Dark Elf woman. Glaring down at Kierra. Making sure she wouldn't dark try anything foolish. The Vampire knew that if Lyric consumed his blood, the Fairy would heal.

"Your servant may drink my blood. It will heal her."

Leo explained, biting into his wrist, drawing out blood.

~*~

Inside, Pursa wearily stepped forward, knowing that no amount of begging or pleading would get the Master to stop the punishment. Markings burning, Pursa slowly knelt before the enraged Blood Mage. This particular blade, the Master kept especially sharp, and always on hand.

Biting at her lower lip, Pursa closed her eyes and tilted her head forward, unable to move as she waited for what was to come.

Seeing her Master look at her, Keirra knew she wouldn't like the answer she was about to receive. This situation wasn't going to end well for anyone and she gave a whimper as he grabbed her by the back of her neck, basically "scruffing" her. She gave a low whimper as she was forced out of the house, giving Pursa one last look before the door was shut behind the two. She stayed silent as her Master approached Maxelle and Lyric, lowering her head and flattening her ears. Why was he tending to the little bitch? After what she had done?! A low snarl sounded from Keirra before the hand tightened its grip on her neck, reminding her to behave.

When he actually bit into his wrist, she found herself frowning. She doesn't deserve your help. Please, just stop. Keirra wanted to scream at him but she was unable to move. This meant more than likely that he would be feeding from her later and he didn't seem happy with her behavior as it was. She couldn't seem to catch a break today. Even worse, the Fairy was being a smart ass and this earned another growl from Keirra, her eyes narrowing at her as she curled her lips back into a snarl. Oh, how she'd love to rip the girl to shreds.

Her sharp, white teeth were on full display by now and her fur was raised. The only thing keeping her back was Leo's firm hold on her and even now she was tempted to rip herself from his grasp and to launch herself at the Fairy.

Maxelle paused, looking between Leo and his servant with a glare. "You expect me to let my precious Lyric near your savage creature again?" She sneered, shaking her head at him. She didn't want to wait to have Lyric be healed but she'd caught the growl from the Vulpine and didn't trust the creature. However, she didn't want Lyric to suffer either and so she gestured for Lyric to take Leo up on his offer. The Fairy slowly floated towards the male, glancing between him and Keirra. A smug smirk was directed at Keirra, Lyric obviously enjoying the turmoil she had caused.

Slowly she knelt before Leo and waited for him to offer his wrist to her before she finally allowed herself to drink it. Once her wounds had healed, she silently thanked Leo before shooting Keirra another smug smile and returning to Maxelle's side, her facade beginning as she sniffled.
"You should really cage that rabid beast or put it down. Before it turns on you next." Maxelle suggested, going to her carriage with the Fairy in tow. They were okay to leave now, though she would still be making Matthew pay for the damages to her pet.

"Have you any idea what you've done, Pursa?" Matthew questioned, his eyes narrowing down at the frightened Neko. It had been brave of the Vulpine to offer to take her punishment, but it had been a foolish attempt. It wouldn't do anything for the two. Pursa would still be punished regardless. "It was good of you to stick up for your friend, it was," Matthew spoke, pausing as he looked down at the Neko, "but it was also very foolish of you." He swiped his blade across the female's cheek, making sure to go deep.

His eyes focused on the Neko, the male making sure that she wasn't able to move as he observed the blade in his hand.
"You embarrassed me. During a business meeting. Did I not tell you that I didn't have time for this tonight?" Matthew growled, swiping the blade across one of her ears this time. He shook his head, looking to the bloody creature before releasing his hold on her and gesturing for her to clean the blood off of the floor. "I fully expect you to clean up all of these messes. And then I want you to go to bed." Now he walked away from her, leaving her alone as he walked himself to his office to send out carrier pigeons to notify the other guests that the gathering was cancelled.

"You forget Maxelle, which of our servants had actually done the damage."

The Vampire reminded, looking down at the wounded Fairy as Lyric approached. And as Lyric consumed his blood, Leo watched as the deep gouge mark healed. As if it had never happened. And once Lyric was back to normal, Leo gave a firm tug upon the leash that was once more attatched to Kierra's collar.

"Come servant. We must be off."

Leo told the Vulpine, looking down with cold, hard eyes at the creature.

~*~

"I'm sorry Master."

Pursa replied, knowing she had sorely embarrassed the man. But that Fairy had had it coming. She couldn't help herself. It was the first time Pursa had ever gotten angry like that. And as the blade cut into her, the Neko grimaced, whimpering slightly. Tip of the tail flicking at the pain.

"Yes Master."

The Neko replied at the orders, ear twitching as it was deeply cut, instantly drawing blood. Next, her cheek.

Once the punishment was completed, Pursa began to shakly clean everything up. Blood dripping from the wounds in which she knew would scar. That Fairy had no right to insult them like that! And what had been the deal with the Vampire?

Tail tucked between her legs, Pursa finished cleaning and putting everything away before walking in pain to her room downstairs, a small closet with a mattress on the floor.

The exchange between Leo and Maxelle confused Keirra, the Vulpine not being sure if Leo was actually mad at her. As usual, the vampire was hard to read. He was angry, she knew that, but she was unsure who he was angry at. She had tried her hardest to behave tonight, she had even started to walk away from the fight before it could happen. She had ignored her urges to attack the Fairy, not once but twice. Surely, she wouldn't be punished for this, right? She didn't want Pursa to be punished, she hadn't even expected the Neko to do such a thing.

Feeling a tug on her collar she lowered her head and followed Leo to their carriage. She remained silent as she seated herself next to Leo's feet. The Vulpine remained silent, though she would occasionally twitch her ears as she listened for any movements from Leo. Would he be feeding from her again? To replace the blood he had given to the Fairy? She hoped not, he hadn't even needed to do such a noble gesture. She hadn't deserved it. Just like Pursa didn't deserve to be punished. "I'm sorry, Master.." Keirra apologized hesitantly, being unsure of what she was apologizing for. But if it helped her avoid being punished, she would apologize.

Normally the punishment would have been much more severe for what the Neko had done, but luckily for little Pursa, Leo had vouched for her. It had been Maxelle's servant that had caused the quarrel, though he hadn't expected his own servant to be the one to attack. Pursa was full of surprises, it seemed. She still had a spark to her, one that needed to be put out. One of the first times that he had allowed her to see the Vulpine again and it was clear that the two creatures being together was a danger. As they were still protective of each other, they still hadn't accepted what their lives were to be.

He brooded in his office after all of the carrier pigeons had been sent out, the blood mage looking down at the blade that held Pursa's dried blood. He would have to give her some healing ointment as he didn't want her face or her ears to scar. While he was okay for her to have scars in other places, he preferred for his servants to have pretty faces. She couldn't have a pretty face if there was a scar. The male growled as he grabbed a tub of the healing ointment that he had made with Leo's help, the male walking himself to the closet where Pursa was curled up.

"Pursa. Come here." He ordered, standing outside the door and opening the ointment. It wouldn't feel so good as he applied it but it would take care of the wound.

As their ride took them back to Leo's estate, the vampire looked down at the vulpine as Kierra apologized. A deep frown etched Leo's face before it disappeared just as it had come. The vampire turned his blood-red-gaze away from the vulpine.

"You have done nothing servant."

The vampire muttered, combing a hand through his long, midnight-black-hair. For nearly all of the ride, the vampire was silent. Brooding. But suddenly, Leo spoke. Breaking the silence between them.

"Maxelle's servant should not have said such a thing. She was out of line. I don't think anyone suspected the other to act out in such a way. Not even herself."

Once more, Leo went silent. Allowing the words to sink in as they arrived once more at his estate.

~*~

"Pursa. Come here."

Hearing the Master's voice, the Neko slowly uncurled herself from the small mattress, the cut marks having dried up. Standing, the Neko stretched, and wearily approached Matthew. Remaining silent, Pursa simply looked up at the man, awaiting nervously as to whatever would be done to her next. Tail tucked between her legs.

It seemed that she wasn't in trouble and this was a first for Keirra, she was always getting in trouble. Partially because she hated the idea of submitting to anyone. Also because she despised being called Servant or Pet, the words stung almost as much as being called a blood whore did. She was able to relax knowing that she wouldn't be punished for any crimes tonight, after all, she hadn't done anything wrong. She silently began to stroke her own tail, running her fingers through the soft fur quietly. This was a soothing gesture for the Vulpine though as she heard her Master speak, she turned her attention to him attentively.

"Mmm, no. She must do this a lot. She was too smug." It was then that the Vulpine's eyes narrowed, realizing that both her and Pursa had been taunted until they had given into their anger. Though luckily for Lyric, it had been the sweet, calm Pursa who had attacked her rather than Keirra. If the Vulpine would have gotten ahold of Lyric, the Fairy may have been killed. Keirra didn't speak her mind on this though, knowing her opinion was not important to Leo. As they arrived at the estate she silently followed him inside, waiting to see what his orders were.

It seemed as if he was still in a mood and the Vulpine watched him hesitantly, fearing that this mood would mean trouble for her.

"Go and wash your wounds. And then return to me." Matthew ordered, soon seeing the blood smeared across her face and her ear. She hadn't cleaned herself, instead she had went straight to her bed just as he had ordered her to do so. Good girl. Though his eyes flickered to the mattress upon seeing a blood stain on it. That wouldn't do, he didn't like to have stained furniture. "And do take your mattress to the wash room. You'll sleep on the rug tonight." He decided, gesturing for her to grab the mattress as well. It wasn't often that he had his pets sleep on the rug in his room but Pursa needed some place to sleep and the rug was almost as comfortable as her mattress.

Hopefully tomorrow she would be back to normal. Normally she wasn't so clumsy or so disobedient, if she were to continue causing problems for him he would have to severely punish her and while he enjoyed it, he didn't want to break the girl too soon. Seeing this little bit of spark in her was a relief, as he was starting to think there was nothing left for him to tame. He walked to his bedroom and laid out the rug, a simple bear hide rug that he allowed his pets to sleep on if their beds were not available. Or even if he had a favorite pet, they slept on the rug in his room.

The vampire instead remained silent and distant. Climbing out of the carriage and into his estate, removing the vulpine's collar and hanging it upon the wall next to the door. Leo seemed to be deep in thought over something. No doubt the meeting that had just attempted to transpire, which was quickly ended by the clash of servants.

"Get yourself something to eat if you're hungry, wash up, then go straight to your room, and stay there till I have need for you."

Was all Leo ordered the vulpine, voice distant. Without another word, the vampire looked down at Kierra with those unreadable, blood-red-eyes before going to his study.

~*~

"Yes Master."

Pursa replied, gathering up the mattress before taking it to the wash and returning to the Blood Mage. Tail still tucked. Once the mattress was in the wash, Pursa returned to the angered Blood Mage, ears drooped. Still awaiting the healing ointment to be applied.

By now it was almost habit to flinch any time Leo was near her neck, mostly because it never ended well for her. She let out a sigh of relief as the collar was removed from her, the Vulpine raising a hand to her neck and rubbing at the tender area. Not only had the collar been latched on tightly but she had also had the bruise from Leo's rough feeding. She winced as she massaged her neck, the Vulpine slowly removing her hands and clasping them in front of herself. He still seemed to be distant and she couldn't tell what was going on with him. She wasn't sure if she should be ready to be punished or what but she didn't have time to dwell on her thoughts as he gave her an order.

"Yes, Master." Keirra replied, doing her best not to scrunch her nose at the term Master. She hated that he had finally done enough damage to make her obey him. She hated that she was learning her lesson though she knew that if she didn't get herself straightened out he was likely to kill her. She couldn't leave Pursa behind. She watched him walk to his study before taking herself into the kitchen and fixing herself a small plate of food, mostly consisting of dried fruits and scraps from dinner. She fed herself quickly before leaving the kitchen and taking herself to the wash room.

The Vulpine undressed herself before getting into the wooden basin where she was to bathe, dumping the cold water over herself and wincing as the cold liquid cascaded over her bare back. She made quick work of bathing herself, pausing as she looked between the two bottles of shampoo that her Master had set before her. Finally she chose the vanilla scented bottle, washing herself quickly before draining the water and getting out of the tub so that she could go to her room. She dried herself off with the thin towel that had been provided for her before dressing in a white knee length dress.

Soon she made her way to her room, a cell in the basement. Soon Keirra curled up on her cot and remained awake, listening for any signs of her Master needing her. She would lay awake for another hour or two before allowing herself to get some rest.

-x-x-x-x-x-x-x

It seemed like forever before his pet returned to him, the male being pleased to see that she had cleaned the blood off of her face. If his pets were to be battered and bloody, he preferred for the blood to be fresh rather than dried up. It was no fun that way. As she knelt before him he scooped a small amount of the ointment out of the tub and set it down, gripping her face with his free hand to hold her still. "This is going to hurt, Pursa. Don't fight it." Matthew warned, using her markings to hold her in place as a further measure to prepare her for the pain. Of course, the markings would be tingling for now unless she tried to move and then they would burn her but for now she had nothing to worry about.

He waited for vocal affirmation from the Neko before smearing some of the ointment over the girl's cheek, making sure to press it against her wound. The ointment itself would burn as Matthew worked it into the deep wound on her cheek and he was by no means gentle in the application of the ointment. Once he was satisfied he had thoroughly covered the wound he watched as it healed, continuing to grip Pursa's face to hold her still. He still had to treat her ear, after all. "Don't want my precious pet's pretty face to be scarred." He noted, giving a smirk as he looked over at Pursa. She was almost like a toy to him, a toy that he loved to show-case. Out of all of his pets, she was the most beautiful and there was no way he wanted her to have any scars.

As the first wound had healed Matthew moved onto the Neko's ear, once again holding her tightly to prevent movement as he rubbed the ointment into her wound. "Brand new, like nothing ever happened. Embarrass me again and I'll take part of your ear." Matthew warned, pulling the girl to her feet by her hair. "Come, Pursa." He ordered, leading her to his room and pointing to the rug at the foot of his bed. "That's where you'll sleep tonight. If you keep me awake, you will be punished." He notified her, promptly tossing a thin sheet to the rug for her before walking into his personal bathroom to get ready for bed. Once he was in his night clothing he walked himself back to his bed and slid under the thick covers, briefly checking to be sure that Pursa was where she was supposed to be.

And as the vulpine drifted off into sleep, Kierra would no doubt be able to hear the piano begin to play. Soft and sad almost. With a hint of darkness.

The only time in which Leo became evem remotely readable, was when the vampire was at his previous, grand piano. And even then, it was never clear what the vampire was thinking. Or even feeling...

~*~

Suddenly, the markings began to burn like a thousand hot needles. Holding the Neko in place.

And as the ointment was smeared over the deep cuts, Pursa whimpered. Tail twitching slightly at the sharp pain. The Master wasn't gentle about applying the ointment.

"Yes Master."

Pursa whispered, sulking over to the fur rug and reluctantly curling up upon it, ears drooped.

It wasn't until the piano began to play that Keirra allowed the music to lure her to sleep, the Vulpine listening a moment longer to the sad music before giving herself the rest she needed. Today had been a long day and if she wanted her wounds to heal, she needed to get some rest. Her back was sore and her neck was a story of its own. Both were reminders of what happened when she upset her Master. She hadn't thought she would make it through those attacks though somehow she had.

The next morning she woke up to a bell ringing, the Vulpine dragging herself out of her bed tiredly and making her way to the kitchen to prepare her Master's breakfast. It was simple, fruits and well, her. If he so wished to feed on her. Gathering the assortment of fresh fruit and loading it onto the serving tray, she carried it to her Master's bedroom. She knocked on the door, waiting for a brief moment before letting herself in. "Your breakfast, Master." Keirra announced, setting the tray in front of him.

The Vulpine knelt next to his bed, waiting to see if he had any use for her or if she would be allowed to go and do her other chores for the morning.

-x-x-x-x-x-x-

"I don't want to hear you crying, either." Matthew warned, having no patience to hear the little Neko cry. Normally she was good about keeping herself composed but tonight she was full of surprises. Once they were both settled in he turned on his side to go to sleep, the male sleeping til mid-afternoon the next day. The sound of a carrier pigeon tapping at his window earned a groan from the male as he peeked a sleepy eye open. "Pursa, get me the pigeon." He ordered, sitting up and throwing it at her to wake her up if she wasn't awake already.

The vampire looked down at the other creature with those unreadable, blood-red-eyes and slowly blinked, looking distastefully at the fruit.

"You forget servant, I cannot consume human food and or drink."

Leo reminded Kierra with the sound of distaste in his mouth. And with a swipe of his hand, caused the plate and the fruit to clatter to the floor.

"Be gone with you."

He barked, really in no mood to deal with much this day.

~*~

It was a restless sleep. Pursa tossing and turning. Waking up through out the night. Only getting periods of rest here and there for an hour or so. What that Fairy had said...It had angered Pursa. And she had always been the weak one. Kierra always having to take care of her.

But suddenly, there was the sound of something tapping upon glass, and reluctantly, tiredly, Pursa uncurled herself from the rug and stood, flinching as something was tossed at her.

"Yes Master."

Pursa replied, unable to help the yawn as she let the carrier pigeon inside, taking the bird over to the blood mage.
