N
o one knows where they came from.
Many speculate it was god punishing them for their misdoings, others believed they were a government experiment gone wrongโ all anyone knew was that they were here to kill and nothing more.
The world was destroyed the day they showed up, killing everything and anyone who uttered a sound, ripping them to shreds without even breaking a sweat. There is nothing anyone can do, if your caught all one can do is accept their fate and hope they die quicklyโ being gutted like a pig is one hell of a way to go.
Society crumbled in no time, there was no one out there to call for help. It was a dog eat dog world in a matter of days, everything shut down. It became a quiet place, as if humans simply vanished off the face of the planetโ soon the earth began to regrow, mother nature soon began to take control of her home once again. Mighty buildings now consumed by bright green vines, trees sprouted through rusted cars and creeks formed down streetsโ a beautiful world built on the extinction.
7 years later
Man kind has become an endangered species, the earth has rebirth it self and looks as though man kind was a thing of the pastโ nature rules over humans. However it seems as though humans have learned to accept this fact, fearing to be slaughtered by the death bringersโ theyโve learned to tip toe their way through life.
A small group of survivors have been able to make sanctuary together in this mess, surviving deep within the bayouโ the only place in which the death bringers cannot hear them. Itโs done them well over the past three years, but a ever growing problem is arising and every passing day it only grows larger.
For six straight weeks theyโve had a constant down pour, drowning out anything livable within the soil and destroying important equipmentโ no amount of make shift building has been able to keep them from getting wet. It got so bad that the rain caused a flood, running rampant throughout their shelter and there was nothing they could do about it.
Finally free from the rain, theyโve come to find that two outta the three generators theyโve been able to salvage have been ruinedโ itโs what keeps their lights running and allowing them some kind of normalcy, plus helping with their hunters. Itโs gotten to the point where they no longer can live here, their only chance of seeing another day is finding a new place to call home.

Leader
closed
tasked with being in charge of this mission, the leader is the one to make hard decisions on what is best for the group while outside the gates of The Grove. there always needs to be a leader in these types of things right? the leader is simply there to keep the group going in the right direction,
Enforcer

these guys are essentially the brawn's of the group, they are the ones suppose to protect the group while outside the gates of The Grove. heavy hitters, essentially tanks that takes a lot to kill them -- they take the first hits when it comes to defending.
Hunter
closed
the most skilled when it comes to tracking and keeping their ears to the ground. they are able to find just about anything as long as they have tracks, tasked with keeping the group feed while also keeping a watchful eye out. they have a keen ability of noticing the little things, so they also act good as a potential sniper if need be. the hunter is the best person to ask when it comes to sneaking around (they aren't as good as the scouts, but damn near close), making disguises as well as being good at rationing food, so no one in the group will go hungry if left with something small.
Medic

the medics are tasked to keep the group alive, an important job. they are the most skilled when it comes to healing, whether that be medical, herbal or something in between-- they were trusted enough to run with the group and aid in fixing any broken bones or bruises. maybe they might not be the strongest, or maybe they are-- doesn't matter, they are the last people to try and fight as if they die, the group has no one to help heal them.
scout

besides the hunter, the scouts are incredibly light on their feet and can sneak there way around anything. they are tasked with finding any necessary supplies the group might be able to use; they essentially aid the tinkerer, giving them supplies in order to create something new. they are also tasked with being the ears of the group, keeping a watchful eye out while the group sleeps for the night and things related to that nature.
farmer
closed
the farmer is someone who has a keen eye on identifying bad plants that the group will no doubt come across while out in the wilderness of the swamps. they often aid the medics sometimes when in need to medicinal plants, as the farmer is often rather knowledgeable in that aspect. other skills related to them is that they can forge, an oddly strong connection with animals (animal husbandry) and the like-- also have a strong connection with plants? I mean, they a farmer after all.
Tinkerer
open
this person is tasked with making and creating various traps, smoke bombs and other things related for the group to us. they often can make just about anything with whatever they have available to them, the tinkerer allows the group to save their ammunition as they think outside the box and create things to fight off their enemies (can elaborate more, my brain is mush)

follow any and all RPN rules, doing so simply keeps the role-play flowing smoothy and keeps out any unwanted drama and such. while drama is encouraged in IC, please keep it out of OOC; we don't want to make people uncomfortable! this is suppose to be fun after all. feel free to dm me or any of my mods to if something is bothering you!

this role-play isn't first come first served, as this will be an application based type thread! I've never run one of these before so this will be a process for me haha, but pretty easy for you guys. if you see a role you like, just make a character sheet and you'll be in the running for it!
rule four.
be literate, this is abosuelty important. its hard to have muse or inspiration to write if we can't read what your trying to say, so please be careful! also cannot do one liners. you'll be expected to also be able to post once a week, but if you can't that is also okay just give us a heads up and we will work around it.
rule five.
discord is a requirement, we will do most not if all plotting on there. we find it to be a lot easier then plotting on the website, so if using discord isn't in the cards for you then I'm sorry but this is how we will be doing it, though I will make an OOC thread for people to chat on for right now until application due date is past!
