Loving, warm and compassionate, the Libra is one of the most charming of all the Zodiac. Alfonso is a helpless romantic who loves being in love. He's rarely alone, and will choose a bad relationship over none at all. Libra is upbeat, with a positive outlook on life. He loves beauty, comfort and luxury, even when he can't afford it. A rare breed indeed, He somehow manages to be sensitive to females, but is still seen as a "man's man." His innate intelligence may have a lot to do with the ability to see both sides of an argument and really listen to opposing points of view.
As the Scales symbol suggests, Alfonso seeks balance and harmony, which is the reason for his desire to rule over humanity, which he sees as far too disorderly and chaotic for it's own good, describing ruling over them as them needing guidance. He has a deep sense of fairness and justice. He often takes up causes to help right the world's wrongs,being one of the first to stop the escalation of a clash between Renegade and Loyal Zodiac. Libra hates confrontation, which makes him fairly easy to please. On the down side, he may be very indecisive and hard to pin down to an opinion. True to his trademark fairness, he weighs all sides carefully first, and even then he's likely to change his mind after giving it more thought.
These same qualities can sometimes make him fickle in matters of the heart. He loves people, and they love him, so he's often viewed as a flirt. He wants a perfect relationship. But once he falls in love, Libra is faithful and devoted. He rarely loses his temper or flies off the handle, and is often calm, cool or collected. Even if he is upset, he tends to get over it fairly quickly.

If there was one person no-one would think, not even the renegades themselves, to turn against the Loyal Zodiac, it was Alfonso. A passionate person to the core, Alfonso advocated Justice and Fairness among the various members of their race. When the Zodiac Princess was selected, Alfonso took on a self-made role of adviser, using his knowledge and understanding to better guide the Zodiac. While being more limited than many of his brethren, he made up for this in his intellect and understanding nature, along with being powerful in the areas he excelled in.
However, when Andromeda died, to many, it seemed as if Alfonso turned his back on everything he strove for.
In reality, as he would state to both Loyal and Renegade, he views the human race, the Zodiac Princess being the only true exception, as chaotic and far too unruly. With the Zodiac Princess gone, they stand on the brink of bringing about their own destruction. Alfonso refuses to allow what Andromeda and his own brethren helped guide bring their own demise, and thus believes the best way to ensure they return to the correct path is to take the reigns of their species.
While seen as an evil goal, it is ultimately with good intentions, as Alfonso does not do this for want of power, but to ultimately bring the greatest good. Alfonso truly cares for humanity, but he believes they are not ready to rule themselves. His brethren, The Zodiac, are the only ones capable of guiding them. If a Zodiac Princess was selected, he'd see her on a throne immediately. But without one at the current time, he feels that they must guide humanity themselves.
His own goal, since going his own way from the rest of the renegades, has been largely completed- Owning one of the largest and technologically advanced companies in the world, Alfonso has no shortage of funds. He manipulates the corrupt system the humans have put into place, and thus establishes himself as a prominent public figure, often sending aid and relief to the blighted people of the world. He believes that, should a Zodiac Princess be selected, he'd be in the best possible position to help her.
With the best possible technology at his hands, his own personal duties, and a huge scale of resources at his fingertips, Alfonso began building a private military, to ensure the safety and security of the people of the world. Due to his corporation honor-bound creed, wealth, and Alfonso's general charismatic nature, He has been awarded a position on the UN Security Council, thus allowing him to fulfill his role as a symbol of balance.
With his position in the human world all, but secured, Alfonso is ready to tackle anything that comes his way. Due to his general nature to listen to both sides before making a decision (if at all), He is often the one that defuses the situations between the Renegades an Loyalists, though he himself is not always successful.
With the coming of the prophecy, and hope brimming in chest, He seeks to use his vast resources to find the Zodiac Princess, and retake his ancient role once again, confident that she'll see his actions are the best possible solution (in his eyes, at the very least).
