When the word France comes to mind, the first thing or place that follows is Paris. The City of Love is no doubt an iconic and amazing place to visit but there is a gem that lay hidden within the French countryside. The quaint little village of Fleursent gives the impression that it was built right from the pages of a fairytale. It is a place of beauty indeed. Fleurscent is well known by the surroundings towns for its flowers and eco-friendly community. It is a perfect starting point to explore unbeatable landscapes, fields of red poppies, and bright yellow sunflowers, along with a variety of other flowers. Their flowers and general love for nature birthed a tradition within the community known as the Fête des fleurs or the Festival of Flowers. From the beginning of July and the beginning of September Fleurscent holds this festival. Every week is represented by a different flower of that townspeople’s choosing. Everything is decorated, from the houses, to the businesses, and the people. From the afternoon to well into the night there is food, games,music, and a variety of other attractions scattered across the city. Everything in Fleurscent is lively and full of color, it’s a place of beauty and serenity. Or so it seems. Something strange is happening in Fleurscent. The citizens are getting sick and their water is starting to taste funny. There have been whispers of foul play centered around the Mayor and talk of big corporations coming to take over everything that they hold dear. But it’s only gossip….right?
