History:
Every corpse, every soul that hasn't fulfill it's purpose on the world. Every single soul that has fallen in the most powerful desperation which is the frustration to reach it's goals become part of it, part of the new goal.
As people died restricted to become more, they depart towards a mysterious entity that offered every soul the right to choose. Become part of the future, or lay on the endless void that is the after life. Which such a temptation, none were capable to reject such a powerful offer; full of opportunities. That is how it grow and grow, creating it's own identity. Legion.
There is no 'I' but a 'we'. Thousands of souls that united themselves to give name to this form. All of them in constant agreement, thinking each direction, action, each movement and atrocity must be done to conceive results. Every emotion has been remove, every aspect that related them to the past erased, free of all human weakness. They believe there is no good or bad, but the process. A cycle that must continue further just like time does not stops, their idealism endure to the point of fanaticism. Such as evolution, the lesser beings must be swipe aside leaving room for the glory of those strong enough to survive.
With the purpose to prepare the world for the next generation, for the next righteousness kind; they will bring order to the chaos that rules now days the world. Fear, despair, hatred, distrust, pride... all the sins that shape the life on the world. There is no evil nature for it, just a profession, an art that needs to be practiced, mastered... utilize to then harvest the product of their effort.
A conversation between two souls and Legion in the Beyond.
"If we work with Legion... if we make ourselves useful..."

"NO! Legion needs me... I- we... we are forging an alliance between us and the demons... living and dead." silence, "Our way... is the only way."
"Our goal is to save your souls from the Demons, at any cost."
"This is our destiny... Join us, and experience our true rebirth..."
"Our best chance against the Demons is to turn their own resource against them."
"I believe in Legion completely. Join us!"
"Why are you doing this?"
"Life and Dead will connect, the light and the darkness as well. The union of hope and dread; the strength of both, the weakness of neither. There is no OTHER logical conclusion."
"This isn't complicate, people, this demon will do ANYTHING to gain power!"
"Damn you! Fighting us gives you nothing. We sacrifices more for the future... Don't dare to question our methods."

Insight
The great difference between Legion and the rest of the shadows is that it's formed by former souls of all kinds and species. It experience every pathological thought, action or reaction of any being in the world. It's way of thinking and expression is so perfect that most of the living species would be persuaded by it's way of thinking. Vow by an ancient dogma Legion can't be stop by debating though it is open to speak in order to bring "Order" to the "Chaos" to pointless revolve.
Beside that, it also has the experience and the skills of every soul it united. Though there are thousands of souls if not hundred of thousands, it can't run as fast as the rest of the shadows and they all form a single structure that is common for the souls: such is the humanoid-body.
To avoid any confusion, Legion wears a mask that he only takes away to show the face of someone who passed away that now lives inside him. If Legion can't drive them to their side, maybe they can. Otherwise... there would only be one way.
In order to be above normal abilities, Legion holds the power to use the shadows as an extension of it's will. It helps it control the objects at distance such is the idea of the telekinesis, though the ability itself consumes a great amount of power and can only be use one at the time. For that fact, he can only push, hold, crush or pull an object to a certain distance at the time. Though if focus, he can control four at the same time.
