Fandom Legend of Korra - After the War (jaydude x Necroknight)

jaydude jaydude

Kuvira' search would in essence uncover the sight of a grenade - a mostly gas one, but it would be enough to cause any panic or at least disperse any attempt of having the Ambassadors remain here, if it went off.

"Simply Avatar. You'd be surprised how skilled the Earth nation was, when it came to shadow conflicts between the various nobility," replied Li with a small smirk, before turned to look at the man. "Tie him up and hide him in a closet somewhere. We'll interrogate him later."

"The fact remains. WE checked OUR staff. But in question, did anybody check the staff or aid - that the Ambassadors took along?" replied Li - likely surprising Korra with that information. "A defense is no good, no matter how strong or well-planned - if you invite the enemy in through the front gate."

"Best you act calm Avatar. Go around, talk with the Dignitaries - ask them, if they had gotten any new arrivals. If any of their staff was missing or if some of them, had gone off for some personal business," she ordered her.

Kuvira didn't look surprised to see the grenade there. She'd been considering the possibility of something unpleasant being hidden inside the room as soon as she found out that there were infiltrators in the estate. Not wanting to disturb the device and risk setting it off, she bent the earth surrounding it into a hollow pyramid that enclosed the grenade. If the device went off, any after-effects would be contained.

The device dealt with for now, Kuvira exited the room and turned her glare onto the two guards stood outside the door, checking whether they were the same people she'd posted earlier. If it turned out they were, she was going to give them a piece of her mind for allowing that grenade to end up inside the meeting room.

=============================

Xiao carried the traitorous servant out of the room and into the nearest guest bedroom, where she locked him inside one of the wardrobes there. As an added precaution, she raised the floor in front of the wardrobe up so that it was blocking the doors from opening. That way, even if the servant managed to break the lock, he'd be unable to get out unless he could earthbend.

=============================

"I helped organise this thing along with your father-in-law, Su, and Tenzin, and none of the governors we decided to talk to seemed like the type who'd oppose us too directly." Korra replied, though she sounded uncertain, as if she was accepting the possibility that Li was apparently hinting at; that there was an enemy among them.

She followed Li's instructions and started talking to those guests who were becoming curious about what was going on, trying to assure them that there was no trouble; a servant had just collapsed. When she got to Suyin however, she explained in a whisper what was actually going on. If nothing else, she and her entourage - Wei and Wing - would now be alert and on the lookout for anything untoward.

The guards who stood outside the room were the same as she had expected - although when she pulled open the visors on their helmets, she could see that something was wrong. Namely they were stiff as a frozen salmon. Namely their eyes were darting everywhere and yet they didn't speak...or move...or even move their hands or legs. Then Kuvira could see the problem - their feet had been bended into the ground. Subtle yet easily able to hold up a grown man - whom had been chi-blocked into paralysis.

-----------------------

Korra would soon understand of the notion that none of the people in question, looked to be the type or means of trying to sabotage these talks. Although, many did express their worry - that some of their servants had called either sick or were busy somewhere - in such a degree, that one noble even considered firing that 'lazy-bastard-whom-still-was-in-the-bathroom'.

A rather subtle way to operate - if Korra was honest. Hide among plain sight, act as loyal servants and then strike, when nobody was looking. Li was soon at her side, whispering to her. "Did you confirm what I did? Several servants of our guests are missing, sick or somewhere away..."

NecroKnight NecroKnight
Inwardly cursing herself for not noticing what had happened to the guards - especially since they hadn't so much as looked at her when she entered their vicinity - Kuvira unbent them from the ground and ordered two servants - ones she was certain were trustworthy - to carry them to a nearby room so that they could recover from their paralysis. Then she returned to the reception room at a very fast walking pace.

==========================

"Yeah, I did notice. And I'm finding it hard to believe it's just a coincidence." Korra replied to Li's question. Soon afterwards, Xiao reentered the room and whispered about what was going on into her father's ear, causing him to raise his eyebrows in alarm before he and Xiao walked over to where Korra and Li were talking.

"I've taken that servant elsewhere. He should be in good health." Xiao said to the other two women, referring of course to Ju, the man Li had subtly taken out earlier. She kept her voice down, but it was becoming harder to conceal the nature of their conversation from the governors and their bodyguards. By now many of them were beginning to notice the absence of the servants, as well as the fact that one of the servants had been talking with the Avatar for an unusually long period of time.

Xiao and her father joining them didn't help matters, and neither did the appearance of Suyin and Kuvira, as the latter came over to to explain to what had happened to the guards at the meeting room.

"I thought you said that this place was going to be secure during the negotiations!" Suyin hissed at Kuvira, looking angry.

"You think I didn't try my best to ensure that?! I'm still trying to figure out how all this happened!" Kuvira hissed back, a similar look on her face. Before it could escalate any further, Korra stepped in between the two women, giving each of them a stern glare.

"However it happened, we need to calm down and deal with it instead of bickering among ourselves, or we might as well be running around like headless pig-chickens for all the good it'll do." She said in a quiet, yet authoritative voice that succeeded in shutting both Suyin and Kuvira up. With them silent, Korra turned to Li.

"Any idea what we should do?" She asked, having recognised the other woman as the more experienced in these sorts of dealings.

(Shall we have the governors begin the negotiations in the next round? We'll just be outside, keeping the infiltrators from getting to them.)

"I got an idea, but it will involve but ourselves in harms way for this assignment," replied Li, as she soon started whispering the details to her allies. After that was done, many of the people were soon gathered up and directed to the Meeting Room.

In the next hour, the various servants would emerge and slowly start to get into position outside the Meeting Room. The few Guards that were around, were suddenly and quickly disabled - without drawing a drop of blood. That happened, before suddenly the door to the Meeting Hall was kicked open, one Ambassador in kind soon ending up getting a knife thrown his way.

That was before, it was caught mid-air - the Ambassador soon pulling off the disguise, revealing herself as Li. "Sorry....your guests are in a different room," she stated - as namely, all of the Guests and Ambassadors in the room, were actually their own people and allies.

---

Meanwhile, the REAL men and women of the various Earth states were seated busily - although not as comfortably as they had hoped, in namely the Wine Cellar. With Korra and some other Earthbenders charged with overseeing the meeting.

Korra could feel the tremors in building - it seemed the assassins had swallowed the bait, hook-line and sucker - just as Li had predicted. Sometimes the best way to catch an assassin, was to give them what they wanted and set a trap of your own.

NecroKnight NecroKnight
Along with Li, the other "politicians" assembled in the room removed their disguises, to reveal Xiao, Kuvira, Wei and Wing, as well as some of Qutong's guards. The various governors' bodyguards were also there, having been convinced to briefly leave their charges with some delicate persuasion.

The assassins soon realised what had happened, and made to turn around and flee back into the corridor, but before they could do so a wall of stone rose up from the floor, completely sealing it off. Two more of Qutong's guards emerged from out of hiding in front of the newly earthbent wall, trapping the assassins between them and those in the meeting room.

"Give it up. You're trapped and surrounded, and there's no way you can fight your way out of this. Surrender, and you'll receive some measure of mercy from us." Xiao stated, before she and the rest of their allies took up fighting stances. Ready to do battle for the sake of their country.

(Just want to say that Li's plan was GLORIOUS. Also, can I control some of the assassins in the upcoming battle?)

=======================

Once she felt the first tremors from upstairs and realised what they were, Korra was mentally laughing like a madwoman at the genius of Li's plan. It had taken a lot of precision to secretly move the governors down into the wine cellar, but they had pulled it off, and now the assassins had been led into a trap.

Among her silent joy however was worry for all of those who were upstairs serving as bait for the assassins. She had offered to fight alongside them, but Suyin and Xiao's father had talked her out of it, reminding her that the main goal of today was to complete the negotiations and lay out the foundation for the new federation. Those were discussions that the Avatar would need to play a part in if balance was to be restored to the Earth Kingdom. And it wasn't as if those upstairs would be completely defenceless without her.

Sitting down between Suyin and Xiao's father, Korra closed her eyes and took a deep breath, psyching herself up for the next few moments. Opening her eyes, she looked around the table at the assembled leaders, who gazed back at her with respect, politeness or contempt. Suyin gave her a warm smile, and taking confidence from it, Korra began to speak.

"I'm sure you all know why we're gathered here today. The Earth Kingdom was once a great nation, a place of peace and prosperity. Yet it was allowed to fall into decay and chaos as a result of many bad decisions made over the last several years by the Earth Queen, and others." At these words, there were many nods and murmurs of agreement, after which Korra resumed her speech. "I imagine that many of you are scared or uncertain about the future of this nation, and I can't blame you. But by working together, we all have the means to set it on a better path into the future, and I hope that today, we can come to an agreement that will enable us to do just that.

(You mind if we not cover this discussion in too much detail? I'd like to keep the focus on our characters for now.)

jaydude jaydude
(Sure, and sure. Plus I'd liably just have many nobles blame the Prince for this happenings anyway =P)

Sadly as their occupation was namely being assassins they couldn't just give up and surrender. Thus the battle was joined by them, some being chi-blockers, others earthbenders or metalbenders. Some simply going at their gathered allies with daggers or knives.

Li' soon opened up her coat, revealing dozens of knives on her - which she utilized by throwing at the assassins. Then, she soon engaged in close-combat hand-to-hand fighting with some of the chi-blockers. Those whom likely had thought themselves invincible - due to their skill and ability to paralyze with a single touch - would soon find themselves, more pulled into regular combat than they thought.

Namely Li was trained in both chi-blocking herself, in addition - she was wearing armor and had trained her body enough to be immune to simple nerve-paralysis or chi-blocks. Her form and body was as lithe and flexible as rubber - it had its uses, both in combat...and in their bed.

The room descended into chaos. Figures jumped, darted and dodged about as they fought each other while bits and pieces of earth flew around the place, courtesy of the earthbenders among the group. The only things that could be heard were the sounds of rumbling and crashing as the earth was bent and broken, the clash of metal on metal, and the occasional scream or yell whenever someone received a bad wound. Xiao soon lost track of Li, Kuvira, Wei and Wing in the fighting, as it was all she could do to ensure her own survival.

As if by instinct, she turned around just as an assassin was swinging at her with a pair of butterfly swords, leaning back just in time to avoid both blows. She stepped back out of the reach of his next attack, while at the same time bending the earth underneath him into a short pillar that rose out of the ground, launching the assassin off his feet. He was knocked out as soon as he hit the floor. Xiao didn't pay him any attention, instead looking over the pillar to see another assassin grappling with one of the bodyguards. She kicked the pillar with the sole of her right foot, breaking it off from the ground and sending it flying towards the assassin. He had just enough time to see it and look horrified before it crashed into him, knocking him over.

As Xiao was fighting, one of the earthbender assassins saw Li, and bent two small stone walls up on either side of her. After doing this he would bring both his hands together, causing both walls to swiftly close in on each other, crushing anything still between them.

jaydude jaydude
(Decide to have Li get some damage too, else she might be a Mary Sue)

Li kept on grappling with another enemy, which ended up with the two walls being smashed between her. As such, her entire body was rattled - including her bones and head, making her and the enemy to collapse on top of each other.

The assassins didn't get long to enjoy his victory, as another member of their group soon took him down. Although, throughout the fighting - Li remained mostly unresponsive and would likely remain so until the end of the conflict. Since the situation was so chaotic - neither side could tell, who was injured and whom was still fighting on their side.

Whatever the case was, Li still was left groaning in pain - most of the damage to her body absorbed by the armor, but still some of her body had gotten rattled heavily.

(If you don't mind, I'd like to bring this RP to a close shortly after this battle ends.)

Xiao ducked under a volley of knives thrown her way and dispatched the attacker with a bent piece of stone from the floor. As he fell, Xiao looked past him, and her blood froze to ice at the sight of her wife down on the floor. Her attacker was soon taken out by another of the group, but Xiao soon saw another assassin earthbending two chunks of stone above Li, preparing to crush her to death.

"NO!" Xiao cried out, before she dived towards the assassin and went into a forward roll. As she came back onto her feet, she clenched her fists and lifted them up into the air, ripping out another piece of earth from the floor, before swinging both her arms down and forward, a look of pure rage on her face. The piece of earth rocketed over her at great speed, coming within an inch of hitting her head, and smashed into the side of the assassin's torso, shattering on impact. The man was knocked off his feet and slid for several meters on the ground, and simply lay there afterwards.

At the last second, Xiao remembered the two larger pieces of stone above Li, and reached out to them with her own earthbending as they began to fall. They stopped as Xiao took hold of them, with the earthbender closing her eyes and wincing as her body suddenly felt the strain of lifting the two heavy pieces. Remembering that she was still in the middle of a battle, she moved the pieces enough to make them land harmlessly on either side of Li, before running over to where her wife lay.

At the sound of a groan of pain from the downed woman, Xiao almost sighed in relief. Safe in the knowledge that Li was still alive, Xiao turned her attention back to the fighting still raging around her, determined not to let her wife be injured any further. The older woman had saved her life countless times in the past, even before they had become lovers. It was only fair that Xiao return the favour at some point.

(Running out of ideas?)

It didn't take much time for their gathered allies to dispatch the whittling mass of their enemies - namely cause, whomever had organized the employment of these people - hadn't checked up on whom they had gone up against.

In another section of the Palace - or namely the Cellar, the talks were soon coming to an end. Namely something of an opposite Federation would be developed against the Remnants' rather nationalistic attitude. It wouldn't stop them, not for years to come - but it would liable to create some sort of semi-stable balance.

Li for her part, soon gotten help from the Avatar - when the woman had returned from the talks and noticed the carnage that had happened in the small room. "So....did we win?" groaned Li, as she was seated on a slab of stone.

NecroKnight NecroKnight
(No, I just feel it might be appropriate to retire these two characters soon. Li wants to step back from saving the Earth Kingdom to design clothes and live a normal life, and I think Xiao would want to stay at home if it meant that Li didn't have to keep travelling around to keep her safe. Plus, they have their adoptive son Yun to raise.)

"Yes, we won." Kuvira said with an amused smile as she stood by Li's side. Xiao and Korra were a short distance away, helping to treat those who had been injured in the fight. Those assassins who were still alive were being held under guard, their wrists and ankles bound together with platinum cuffs.

As she finished applying a splint to the leg of one of the bodyguards, Xiao turned to look at Korra, who was kneeling at the side of one of the Qutong guards and holding what appeared to be a handful of glowing water up against a laceration on his arm. As Xiao watched in fascination, the wound slowly healed itself, and it was soon reduced to a scar.

"So that's Water Tribe healing." Xiao said to herself as she observed the Avatar in action. After all this time, she still had a healthy interest in the world of medicine.

Once everyone had been treated, Xiao came over to Li and hugged her, being careful not to agitate any of her wife's injuries.

"I'm so glad you're still alive, Li." Xiao whispered with tears in her eyes, as Kuvira and Korra - who had come over to join the other three women once she had treated her last patient - tried to ignore the tender scene in front of them, and the reminders of their own romantic partners that came with it.

"You'll be pleased to know that the governors were able to hammer out a deal." Korra said to Li once Xiao was done hugging her. "Qutong, Zaofu and the other states represented here are now members of the first Earth Federation."

jaydude jaydude
(Guess so. You up for anything else after this?)

Li grinned, or rather grimaced as it was everything still delicate. Nevertheless she happily returned the favor, then turned to look at Korra. "Well...it is something," she sighed, rubbing her head. "Anyway, looks like you will be having your hands full solving this mystery - although we can likely know who it might have been."

"So...what happens now - do we counter-attack? Or do we start to slowly build an alternative to what the Remnants are offering?" she asked. "Not to mention, what about Republic City?"

While she didn't have any interest after today to keep this going, or namely she was certain Xiao wouldn't let her - after what had happened today. She was nonetheless eager to hear, what would become tomorrow and then after that for weeks and years.

(I've got a few ideas for more Korra RP's, taking place either in this setting or other parts of the timeline.)

"I imagine that at least one of these assassins will be able to tell us who sent them, with a bit of persuasion." Kuvira said. "Though given their use of earthbending and metalbending, I'd say it was the Remnant."

Xiao and Korra both nodded in agreement, before Korra addressed Li's other questions. "Pretty much. Right now, the plan is to start rebuilding and improving the infrastructure and economies of the member states, while also putting together a multi-state army to protect the people and territory of the Federation as a whole, and enforce its laws. In the future, the Federation will work on getting more states to join, but unlike the Remnant, it won't force its ways on them."

"Though of course, we may have to make exceptions in certain cases." said Kuvira.

"As for the United Republic, I imagine that Raiko will be willing to work with us, since his only real alternative is the Remnant. In fact, he'll probably be the first world leader to officially recognise the Federation, if only so he can get back on good terms with the other world leaders." Korra said, accompanying that last sentence with a roll of her eyes."

"Speaking of the other world leaders, how do you think they'll respond to what we've done today?" Xiao asked.

Korra grinned. "Dad, Tenzin and Fire Lord Izumi will no doubt choose to support the Federation. At the end of the day, they want the Earth Kingdom to have a fair government that looks after its people and is willing to co-operate with the other nations. I don't know if I can say the same about my cousins though."

jaydude jaydude
(Still OCs? Or you up for doing any canons?)

"So whatever the case may be - its out of our hands now...." sighed Li, then laughed to herself a bit, before coughing a bit. "Sorry. Just had been used to my choices having rather significant aftermaths. Guess, this was likely the last one I had..."

With that notion, Li reached to where her armor was held - and simply released the buckles, letting it drop onto the floor. Relieving Li of a great burden. "Now honored dignitaries, if you don't mind - me and the wife here, have our own life to return to..." chuckled Li, gently having an arm around Xiao' waist.

"The next time you might see me, is on the likely cover of a newspaper. Non-puke inducing clothing made..." she said, with the most straight face she could muster. "Anyway, Kuvira and Korra - I do hope, you two can keep everything safe. Without butting heads this time around..."

The way she spoke, it felt like she was the Avatar - correcting the two kids in the room. "...and Korra, good luck not stepping on any cultural landmines," she giggled, giving a wink at the Avatar - before indicating for Xiao to help them back to their home.

(One idea I had was for us to play as Equalist OC's, following the end of book 1. With the Anti-bending revolution over, our characters would be on the run from the authorities, and trying to get out of Republic City without being arrested.)

Xiao just chuckled and slid her arm around Li's upper body, so that she could support her as she walked, remembering what had happened to her in the fight.

"Thank you for all you've done, Avatar." Xiao said, giving Korra a warm smile before she and her wife left the room, leaving behind two bemused looking women.

"Butt heads? I don't see how we've butted heads in the past." Korra said to Kuvira.

"I don't know. I did try and kill you back in Zaofu, then you foiled my attempt to kidnap Prince Wu, then I tried to kill you again during my invasion of Republic City." Kuvira said with a grin.

"We weren't working together back then." Korra said with a hint of regret. "I was stuck in the South Pole, and you decided to take matters into your own hands. By the time I'd recovered, we were both on different paths. But regardless of what happened back then, I'm glad we can work together now."

"Likewise, Korra." Kuvira said in a sincere voice.

(Sure, we can do that. With some XiaoxLi fluff along the way.)

"So, what are your plans now? I mean, I know you want to design clothes, but it's not like we'd have to move out of here for you to do that." Xiao said.

Night had fallen upon the estate. Korra and the governors who had formed the Federation had all left a few hours ago, and Xiao and Li were back in their bedroom, Xiao sitting cross-legged on the bed and wearing a form-fitting light green nightdress that that was just about long enough to reach the middle of her thighs.

jaydude jaydude

(Okay. What about playing canons?)

Five Years Later...

"Agh....nonono....Kuvira...you may be have a rather boy-ish nature - but that is no excuse, for looking like you had just woken out of bed," commanded Li Dongmei - currently the most famous designer in the world. The woman had many qualifications - she had seen enough of the world, both standards of many culture and class, even had gotten the necessary mind on when to keep her foot down and when to give in.

Or mostly, she worked alongside her wife, Xiao Dongmei - together with several other close friends and relatives whom helped run Dongmei' Clothing and Accessories. As time passed and technology advanced people needed to look their best. There had hardly been a market for it, until Li had come along - most had been local or culturally-centered. Li on the other hand, broke down all such cultural lines, mixing and matching to create almost works of art.

As it was - she was commanding Kuvira, whom had lead her, Qutong and been an advisory to the Earth Federation for years. But when it came to clothing - her commanding tone, could even make the Avatar march in formation. She had done so too, when those she and Asami had come to get clothing for their wedding. "Now then..." she whistled, grasping three needles in her hand, like they were weapons. Before she suddenly stitched the backside together in one stroke and-

"Perfect!" she chuckled, before she spun the mirror around and let Kuvira looked herself. A delicate mix of green, white and a hint of cyan - had been done to give her the appearance of an almost Godess of Earth - even with her rather spartan appearance. Li had manage to take it, and turn it completely around. Almost. "Hmmm? Hair will need some work. Yohoo! Xiao honey... We need a number seven done on Kuvira' hair...be gentle," laughed Li - like she had just sicked a lion-cat on her.

(Any particular canons you were thinking of?)

"Well, I reckon that's you all sorted. And about time; your other mother needs my help." Xiao said to her child with a smile. It wasn't Yun, but a four year old girl that Xiao had just finished dressing, the second child she and Li had taken into their care.

After kneeling down and hugging the girl, Xiao made her way over to where Li was getting Kuvira ready, cracking her knuckles as she approached. Kuvira just gave her eyes a good natured roll when she heard this.

"You can't scare me with this act, you know. I've fought dozens of battles and given birth on more than one occasion." said the former Great Uniter, though she did chuckle at Xiao and Li's antics. Xiao simply gave her a fond look, before turning her attention to Kuvira's wedding ring. It had taken a few months, but Kuvira and Suyin had finally buried the hatchet, with Su allowing Kuvira and Baatar Jr to have their wedding in Zaofu as part of that healing process. It was one of Xiao's favourites out of all the weddings she'd attended in the past, second only to her own wedding.

"So remind me again, what's the plan for today?" Xiao asked Li, as she started working on Kuvira's hair.

jaydude jaydude
(Korra x Bolin pairing. So either one of those two)

"Trust me....you do NOT want to test that challenge," grinned Li, still behind Kuvira, as her hands padded the shoulders of the Great Uniter. "Don't forget everything in this shop is a weapon to me...."

Nevertheless, she let go and allowed Xiao to work her magic. One would be amazed, how much tricks one could perform with some hair gel and earthbending. Mix in some natural herbs and some delicate clay, that was all natural for any hair - and one could turn an earthbender into a literal hair-dresser without much issue. That didn't mean, she didn't employ water-benders - they could do almost magic, dying hair in a quick snap and without much hassle or issue.

"Eh...just make her look nice - gotta look good for the honeymoon...." she teased. "Gotta make sure, that Baatar Jr - wouldn't be able to look away from Kuvira for a month....or maybe a good hour at least," she laughed - soon picking up the young girl, that had waddled over to her. "Heya, Mikiyu...being a good girl?"

She laughed with the greatest joy in her voice - as she padded the young waterbender, that she had adopted as her own. In time, such pairings would become common everywhere - not just in the United Republic. As archaic ideals and xenophobia was chipped down year by year with the greatest success. Li Dongmei showed it was possible - she lived in Qutong, a formerly destroyed city. Now it was an almost cultural capital of sort. Where she had the HQ of Dongmei' Clothing and Accessories - employing firebenders, waterbenders, earthbenders and even the rare airbender, for those whom wanted a more cool appearance.

After ten minutes, Li looked over the work and gave Xiao a 'thumbs-up' gesture. "Good to go, General," said Li, using Kuvira' old title. As the woman almost looked womanly for her honeymoon - a political situation had prevented Kuvira from going on her vacation, right after getting married. But now she could catch-up with some interest. "Trust me Kuvira...once Baatar sees what you are wearing - I will be HONESTLY surprised, if he doesn't rip that dress right off you and carries you off to the nearest hotel..."

"So. Go and get him...doodles..." she spoke, wishing Kuvira good-luck as she let the woman waddle her way out of the salon. The dress wasn't choking or uncomfortable, but for a woman whom had never worn a dress - save her wedding - it might take some minutes to get into it.

(With your permission, I'd like to expand a bit further on the Dongmei family assets, and tie them all together. It shouldn't be anything major.)

As Kuvira left, Xiao stepped behind her wife, gently wrapping her arms around the other woman's waist and resting her head on her back. "I'm sure they'll be fine. It's about time Kuvira had a honeymoon, if you ask me."

Alongside her styling work, Xiao largely helped Li manage the business side of her company, using the management, accounting and analytical skills she'd picked up while working with her father over the last few years. Her parents had provided Li with her start-up loan, and her uncle - himself wealthy and well-versed in the ways of business - had provided financial aid, advice, and other necessary support.

These days, all of the family's business assets, including Dongmei Clothing and Accessories - still controlled by Li - the platinum mines, and nearly everything Xiao's uncle owned, had been organised into Dongmei Enterprises, one of the richest conglomerates in the five year old Earth Federation. The Dongmei family had always been well off, but with their continual success over the years, they now had wealth comparable to that of Asami Sato and the Varrick family.

(Go ahead)

"Indeed....so then love. What shall we do next?" asked Li - in essence, they had all the time and money in the world for their life to be. None of them had to much worry about it, although - even before they had started this, they had a strong and wealthy family. Although Li being the stubborn woman that she was - wanted to have her own wealth, happiness and job.

Thus she did this more out of a sense of gratification, then trying to earn a living. Although, the fact that she could reach to such heights - with what she had done, only added to her rather sense of pride and joy. Not to mention, that the ability to unite all of their family and in-law business into one giant enterprise helped in letting Li focus on what she wanted most. Namely that was her clothing and style - although, from the times she had heard, that her success in this line of business, was good for the Dongmei and her in-general as well.

Xiao smiled, still cuddling Li from behind. "Hmm... what shall we do next? Well I was thinking that after work, we could have dinner at that new Fire Nation restaurant that just opened. And tonight, we've got our bed..." whispered the young woman, the meaning behind that sentence clear.

"Or were you thinking about what we could do in the long-term?"

"All of the above," replied Li - as she gently snaked her hand behind Xiao and soon pulled her next to herself. As the two soon set off into the world they helped create.

(The End?)

(Okay. It's been fun.)

"Well regarding the latter point, I'd say the world's our oyster-lobster." Xiao said, looking at the woman who was her bodyguard, her best friend and her wife with a loving smile, before turning her gaze to the horizon, and the future.

THE END
